Dorothea Puente ran a boarding house for down and outs. She was tried for killing seven people by drugging them with Dalmane and alcohol. She was found guilty in three cases and one juror held out on the other four. After their deaths she continued to draw their social security cheques. Sentenced to life in prison she wrote this book. She never showed any remorse and said to prosecutors, "I don't give a shit what anyone thinks of me." Dorothea thought herself a gourmet cook and said that all the deaths were due to natural causes. She is known as one of the most prolific and evil female serial killers in America.

I like to express myself thru words, thru sculpture, thru art of all kind. That makes me less of a writer and more of a human who has a need to communicate with other human beings.
So the interview was pretty much the bs I expected it to be and the poetry was awful, but I’m gonna be honest here: some of her recipes are actually REALLY good.
