Now she just wants to go home. Stella is unlike anything she ever experienced and she can’t stand it. From the bright lights to the moving pictures—it’s all too overwhelming.
But she makes a terrifying discovery.
The voice has followed her and he wants her dead.
Download now to find out if Zwaantie can defeat the Voice or if it will make a prisoner of her once again.
Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. Currently, she lives in Cairo, Egypt with her husband and two kids.
She is a high school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Kissed is her first novel.
This book was even better than the first. These characters grew so much more in this novel and I did not want to put it down.
Also, holy hell with these characters. I ship Zwaantie with one person, then I realize that she should be with someone else. And it breaks my heart. Seriously.
Plus, the kingdom of Stella is so awesome! With its magic and such, I like it a lot better than Sol. Although, maybe that's because I don't like that voice.
Having just finished this, my emotions are all in a funk. I need more. I need these characters to be happy. Gahhhhh!
ENGLISH: Prince of the Moon begins just after the moment the first book finished. Leo and Zwaantie crossed to Stella, forgetting the last few moments they lived. Zwaantie and his beloved Phoenix have taken separate paths, so the plans to run away with him end up being postponed. But Zwaantie continues to think about him, missing him all the time.
I felt that Zwaantie's feelings were more an obsession than love. She didn't get to interact long enough with Phoenix to have such a strong connection, and thinking about him all the time was a little annoying. On the other hand, Phoenix is not the same slave, now free, that he was in Sol. I didn't like his actions at all but Zwaantie seemed blind to many of them. His sister Luna was another character I didn't like in this book. Being free and independent made her a not very nice person and I felt that she treated Zwaantie badly, being her friend, supposedly.
Through this book, several characters have changed. Zwaantie growed up a lot, becoming a true responsible princess and I loved that. We also know Leo better and I didn't like him very much. I think in the first book he was so interesting because he was new and exotic but I didn't like his beliefs and behavior in this sequel.
On the other hand, we meet new characters, two of them whom I loved, both Leo siblings. Sage is a very funny girl who made me laugh a lot and I loved her relationship of trust with Zwaantie. And Ari is charming and funny, he won my heart immediately. Ari has become my favorite and I think he is the one who fits better with Zwaantie, his interactions are great and entertaining. It was a big surprise to have these new and amazing characters, the author made a great addition with them.
The plot of this book was really interesting and addictive. I devoured every page wondering what would happen next. It didn't stop surprising me from the characters to the unexpected turns. There are several threats against Zwaantie's life and the people of Stella. The increasingly frequent and aggressive attack of the creeping vipers that show up after midnight, gave a dark and scary touch to the kingdom and the story. Besides, The Voice will not stop until Zwaantie is death, no mather where she is. I think The Voice is a great villain and I want to know more about it and its true identity.
One of the things I liked the most was the setting of this story. We enter the dark world of Stella, the kingdom of the eternal night, with magic and potions, stars and unique places. It shows a modern city, with tall buildings and magical artifacts that were really interesting. I liked this kingdom very much, it was a strong contrast with the world of Sol. That was a great construction by the author.
The story didn't have a lot of romance because Zwaantie was confused about her feelings, but there were sweet moments and others really fun. It's a special book with a very interesting subject. I loved it and I can't wait to read the next book and know what will happen next.
I received an advanced copy of this book for a honest review.
Omg I loved this book!! This is the second book in the Stella and Sol series. The series keeps getting better and better.
So Leo and Zwaantie are now in Stella - Leo's home. There are some many lifestyles changes that Zwaantie has to deal with. I love her character - she tries to stay true to herself through it all. Meeting all the different members of Leo family is great but I love Ari and Sage the most though. Leo doesn't get much face time in this book and I wished he did to add to their story line. How are they supposed to fall in love otherwise?!? Now having said that I am team Ari all the way. I LoOoOve his character and think he should have been the one betrothed to her instead. (Maybe there's still time--- fingers crossed). Unless Leo pulls out so show stopping moves he needs to bow out.
There is a lot going on with Zwaantie in this book. New friendships, some old ones are strained and broken, her eyes are opened to new ways and possibilities, and she has a lot of problems thrown at her. Stella is a very trying place for her. Seems there are plenty of things even magic can't fix.
Is someone trying to get rid of her? why? What about the prophecy - can she help Leo fulfill it in time? or is she the reason it happens? Does Ari help or hinder it? So many questions.......Aggghhh! Can't wait for the next book. I'm in love with the characters and Stella - sorry Sol but you are bland in comparison. What will a merger between these two different ways of lives look like?!?!?
This book was considerably worse than the first one. Zwaanzie went from annoying to completely and utterly insufferable. I’m pretty sure she changed her mind about who she loved more than she changed clothing, all in a mere 200 pages. I can’t understand how the author writes such good supporting characters (Sage, Luna etc) but cannot write a single chapter where Zwaanzie isn’t either crying over Phoenix, coldly rejecting Leo or inching herself closer to Ari. She does not make one decent decision in the entire book, apart from maybe delivering Candace’s baby. I was constantly rolling my eyes at her immaturity and selfishness. The author also really needs to work on chapter endings, for each one seems to end with Zwaanzie making a particularly irritating statement about a) missing Sol b) loving Stella so much she will never leave c) doing absolutely anything for Phoenix or d) whinging and whining about how unfair everything is and how she doesn’t want to become Queen.
However, the redeeming quality is the world building and the plot. The construction of the plot is brilliant and pacy, and is the only reason I would continue with this series. It is highly readable and the intricacies of the Voice and the Prophecies keep the story interesting enough to read on, hence the 2 stars I gave the book. Overall, I’ll continue with the series because I have all 4 books and each is only around 200 pages.
I just read the first book of this series last month. I was so overjoyed when I found that I have an ARC of the second book in my inbox. Thank you so much, Kimberly Loth. I am so excited to continue this adventure with Zwaantie and the rest of the characters. This book is to be released on April 5, 2017.
This second book talked about Stella. It vividly describes the lifestyle, colors, and the difference of this moonlit country from the sunny Sol. Zwaantie, at first was culture-shocked as can be expected but later on came to like and enjoy the easy-going and carefree lifestyle and attitude of the Stellans. They sure know to have fun.
Zwaantie thought that reaching Stella, she will now be able to fulfill her wishes but she was so wrong. Oh boy! So terribly wrong. All the plans she have made were all going down the drain. There was no happy-ever-after with the man she loves. And worst of all, she thought she was safe, that her life was no longer in danger. But again, she could have never been more wrong.
Wow! I never expected that a lot of things could happen in this book. Sinister and vicious things are happening in Stella. Deaths and missing persons are disturbing the lively and happy-go-lucky vibe of the kingdom. A lot of questions and speculations are sprouting. Who could be behind all these and it seemed like it is related to the prophecy. Zwaantie, on the other hand, got to explore Stella just like a local and was shown amazing sights and experiences that where way beyond her sheltered life in Sol. Stella had a lot more to offer her, much to her surprise, except for fresh food. She found friendships and developed a closeness to Leo's other siblings. And I am suspecting, one of those friendships will likely turn into something more. I think this great surprise will surely be in the next book. I can actually see it blowing away all the readers. And I will get to say, "I knew it."
I have never foreseen all these interesting events happening in this story. It was all so surprising and so engaging. I felt like I too have a stake in making Zwaantie stay in Stella and make sure that the two kingdoms merge as one. But while all these things are happening, I think a lot more is going on behind all these that are yet to be revealed. It seems like this story is just getting more complicated, deeper and darker as it unravels. I am preparing myself to be shocked and surprised in the next installment. I don't know what else is going to occur but I am sure it will be like a punch in the gut that I will not see coming. I am only sure of one thing, Zwaantie will be marrying a prince from Stella whom she loves and they will combine the two kingdoms. There will be no two kingdoms but one. And the wall definitely has to go.
I give the book 5/5 beautiful constellation of stars. This series is a must-read. I am all hands down. This is absolutely entertaining and addicting. I am positive that I will be reading all the books in this series until the very end. There's no way, I am going to be left out of this adventure. I am in this with Zwaantie, wherever this story may lead. Miss Kimberly Loth, I think one more book and you are going into my favorite authors' list. While waiting for the next book to come out, I might have to get started on one of your other books --Obsidian (The Dragon Kings #1) is going to keep me busy so I won't start pulling my hair while driving myself crazy waiting for book three to arrive.
The stars were supposed to represent freedom, so why did she feel more trapped than ever? - Kimberly Loth, Prince of the Moon -
DISCLAIMER: I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I didn't read book one, so I was a little confused going in to this but it mostly all worked out in the end.
My biggest con to this book, and why I took off a star, is the heroine of the series is pretty stereotypical. I didn't like her, found her too moody and much too predictable. In fact, predictably is why I removed another star.
In both defense of the protag and the author, this book is probably aimed at teen audiences (at least I hope), and I'm a bit older than that.
Still, there were enough interesting characters and the Magic was fascinating.
Edit: the ending of this book isn't necessarily a cliff hanger but is definitely a bridge book. Looking forward to more action in #3!
WoW, just WoW! I need book 3 right now! Here we get to know new kingdom - Stella - which is different from Sol in almost all aspects. That was a true pleasure to get to know it in position of Zwaantie. She had some troubels to adpot to Stella way of living, but she was chnging slowly and it was so vivid to me! Plot follows events form book 1, Zwaantie try to find out what to do, and what to choose her heart or duty. The struggle was like tur of war, that made my laugh few times. Characters were well developed not only main ones (Zwaantie, Leo, Luna), but also some members of Leo's family - I fell in love with Ari and Sage, i need more of them!! In this book we get a great developed new kingdom, well-developed characters, romance.
Total culture shock for Zwantee. No privacy, clothing, the smells, Stella is total sensory overload. Once again, her plans for freedom are thwarted by prophecy. I thought book one was amazing, but book two is taking it to another level! I am so utterly confused to who I want Zwantee to end up with, and I am loving it! I am on pins and needles to get to the next book and continue this spellbinding journey! This writers ability to capture my undivided attention is why I love seeing another one of her books out!
This is a review of the entire series...Turn back now to avoid spoilers.
Can we start by acknowledging that Zwaantie is a fucking obnoxious name.
The idea was original however it was so incredibly cringe inducing juvenile. The characters were all 15-19 years old and the writing reflected that. However you were expected to believe that these emotionally stunted children were also somehow master spy’s, assassins and ready to rule nations.
Zwaanties love life gives serious whiplash. She falls instalust love with Pheonix and wants to give up her crown and be a slave with him. When 2 weeks later when that doesn’t work out she moves on to Ari and suddenly he is now also the love of her life. She hides it from her fiancé for weeks. Lying repeatedly that they were just friends. Twice he found them in bed together and no one said what was going on. literally everyone was ok with her stringing Leo along. His own siblings didn’t even care.
They even acknowledged that according to the prophecy she doesn’t need to marry Leo, just a prince. Ari finally agrees to marry her and all problems are solved. Except neither of these shady motherfuckers choose to confess to Leo. Zwaantie may not have loved Leo but they stated he apparently loved her from first sight. It’s a fucking awful entitled self absorbed thing to do.
I can’t get over that literally everyone was ok with her stringing Leo along. His own father and siblings. She literally married his brother and kept pretending to like him. She kissed Leo at a family dinner where several of the guests knew she was freaking married to Ari. That is soooo fucked up
Zwaantie made so many horrible decisions. She never confided in Leo that she had to fall in love with him not just marry him. Maybe if she told him what was going on like an adult they would have spent more time together.
I hate that she was written as this spineless weak victim. She let Candace and Pius talk down to her and judge her. Calling her baby killer. I wanted her tell them to fuck right off. She came to their land to save them. They were not her people and she didn’t have to be there and you can’t force love. She was doing all that she could considering her fiancé peaced out after 5 paragraphs .
The worst part of the entire series is the last book. Ari is dead and this bitch is just wrong.
1. She then wants to have sex with Leo to trick him into thinking her dead husbands baby is his. Why can’t she just tell him the truth? Seriously is this author allergic to the truth?
2. Her solution is to use magic roofie potion to date rape the man. Let me repeat... instead of telling him she was pregnant she was going drug his wine to force him to have sex with her. WTF. Just stop... abort mission.
In summary this bitch clearly needed the voice. She is a brother fucking date raping psychopath... she has no conscious. No character. I hated her intensely.
Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES READ THIS TRASH

I liked this sequel better than the first but the insta-love aspect keeps my rating from getting any higher. The MC has grown slightly as a character but still is very immature. I’m hoping the next book holds more action.
Prince Of The Moon – Book 2 Technically, you can read this book without reading the first one in the series. The author did a great job of setting it up so that a number of things from the first one were explained or mentioned that would otherwise have caused a lot of confusion if this were the first book within the series to be read. Reading that first story of the series will enrich this one.
Princess Zwaantie, who is slated to be Queen of the kingdom of Sol, has lived her life in the land of perpetual sun. This story opens with her arrival in the kingdom of Stella, the land of perpetual darkness. The people, the customs, the buildings, and the sky are completely different – and as with any move/long-term visit to a new area, requires an uncomfortable adjustment to all the differences. Add in meeting the large family of the prince she stated she would marry, and the stress is enough to make most anyone crumble. The unfolding story provides peeks at more of the overall series arc – and at times you wonder if the princess will actually live or not.
I wanted to race through this book to see what would happen next, but kept being interrupted by life. (even in the middle of sentences at times! ~grump~) I greatly enjoyed reading this one and can’t wait until the third book comes out in May. Hopefully I will have an uneventful weekend in which to read that one. ~grin~
This was a tale of two books for me. I loved the world building from spending time in Stella which is so different from Sol. The magic heavy country has a much different feel and I like what hints of the greater happenings that were dropped. This book feels like it suffers a little from being a transition novel that needed to alter some of the elements from the previous novel.
That said, the main character finally got to where I want her to get, but it took a lot longer than I wanted and one of her realizations seemed to come during time passing offscreen. Again, this could be due to my age and experience and may not be an issue for the young/new adult audience that I feel this book is best suited.
That said, I loved the time we got to spend with two of Leo's siblings, Ari and Sage. Their addition made the book much more enjoyable. Other characters we had spent time with previously didn't fair as well in my opinion. Leo came off worse or at least not as interesting and wasn't in as much of the book as I'd expected him to be. Luna somewhat disappointed me though it is understandable in some ways and Phoenix continued to be the bland plot device I thought he was before.
The love triangle of the previous book is altered, but one still exists. I am happy with the direction it seems to be heading. I have hopes for the next novel based on where this one ended.
This second instalment in the series continues from the thrilling cliffhanger at the end of book 1, and chronicles Zwaantie's adventures on arrival in Stella. The descriptions of the new world are amazing, so vibrant and vivid, especially in contrast to Sol, her homeland - it's like Sol is ancient England and Stella is modern England, only without the natural daylight, and with magic and with bad things happening if you go out after midnight! Anyway, the book is really good, well-written and full of brilliant characters that are so well described you feel you really know and relate to them. You do get a little annoyed with Zwaantie at times for being such a soppy dope, but there is enough else going on that you soon get distracted. (And please, please can someone bring the funhouse described to reality, it sounds awesome!!) All in all, a good second instalment, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Jesus! Loth has definitely made up for that boring first book I give this one 4.5 stars! In this one Zwaantie isn’t in Sol anymore, but finally in Stella. Where Sol is dull and boring with no mages in sight Stella is filled with the stars and lights, with magic and fun. Thankfully Zwaantie doesn’t want to go back to Sol which is a relief to me. Seriously I can’t read anymore about Sol it was so dull. I knew her and Phoenix wouldn’t last, and quite frankly I’m relieved that he told her he just wasn’t into her, I personally didn’t think they had much of a connection and neither do her and Leo. I’m real Ari at this point. They’ve been really connecting as friends, getting to know each other and I feel have an actual connection. So besides trying not to get murdered by people in Stella some actual action is happening in the kingdom and I can’t wait to find out who she will end up with and how she is going to save Stella at this point.

I really, really wanted to love this book. The first one ended on such a romantic tone, but that was completely dropped in this book. In fact, the author did nothing to advance their story and conveniently had them separated by various emergencies so that they never even had a chance. Instead, the main character is constantly placed in path and supervision of a third eligible male. The other love interest from the first book was put under a spell so that he hated her and tried to kill her, which ended his storyline. Thus leaving her with the one option. There is no character growth or plot development in book number two. Zwantee continues to whine and just let things happen to her. I suspect the next book will be more of the same with a very predictable ending at this point and no real chemistry between the characters. The one time she did have chemistry with a character was in the mist which no one remembers.
This was an interesting introduction to Stella. It sounds a lot like a modern world with magic. But the story is kind of weird. It doesn’t really seem to have a purpose at all except for Zwaantie running around confused for most of the novel. And for some reason, she can’t ever find people like Phoenix or Luna, and it seems like the people in the kingdom are just giving her the runaround. But then she starts to connect with Ari and Sage. And that has some interesting promise. There’s like hardly any screen time with Leo, which makes you realize that something’s gonna happen between Zwaantie and Ari. That just makes sense. I thought the lock in was cool and I knew what was gonna happen with the glow potions. But there just wasn’t enough emotion at the very end when Ari told Zwaantie what he could see. That kind of left me disappointed.
Title: Prince of the Moon Author: Kimberly Loth Format: Audio Narrator: Angel Clark Genre: NA, Fantasy Standalone: No Part of a Series: Book 2 of Stella and Sol POV: Mostly Zwaansi Steam Level: Mostly Clean, some kissing 4/5
Prince of the Moon is the second book in the Stella and Sol series. While a bit slow, Prince of the Moon is well written and keeping me intrigued. I'm still not sure if I like Zwaansi but I don't dislike her enough to stop listening. I'm interested to see how this series plays out.
I received this audiobook for free in the Steall and Sol Box Set from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Now it's getting interesting. She is across the wall and for some reason stella reminds me of NYC. Lots of technology, lots of selfies, lots of tabloid posts. Talk about a fish out of water. It is obvious there is no way she can bond w/ the prince because he is never home when he's off hunting serpents. I saw the ending of this book coming from a mile away and am now extremely excited to read the 3rd one in the series. I can't help but wonder how long it will take them to realize there is another way to bond the kingdoms and it isn't with the distant prince.....
Whoa!! The world biking of Stella is simply magical and amazing!! I was wishing I lived there till I found out what comes out after midnight. The plot and twists were great and I didn’t seem them coming. Zwaantie, bless her heart is doing the best she can while in Stella. I may be a bit heartbroken about Phoenix. *sigh* I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook. Angel Clark portrays everyone so well. Her voice, and the world building elevated the story for me. She kept me enthralled till the very end. I look forward to seeing what happens next. I feel like it may be a doozy for Zwaantie.
After ploughing through book 1 on a rainy day I wasn’t sure I was ready to dive straight into the second… but I’m so glad I did. The new world in this book is beautiful and magical and the pictures it painted in my mind were stunning. I started to get to know the characters more which is always a bonus and loving the new characters that have been introduced in Stella.
Now I have to find out what happens next and what will be the fate of Sol & Stella…!?
The ONLY issue I’m having is the main characters name… not something that rolls off the tongue every time I see it.
This series doesn't seem to be holding my interest. There are some good things, mostly supporting characters. I am not sure how I feel about the "VOICE" and what it might be trying to compare in our life. I was also uncomfortable with the promiscuity and leisure activities and what they might be compared to our life.
I don't think Zwaantie is a strong character. I know she is young, but I think she is a bit too juvenile for someone who was raised to be a queen.
I did like the anticipatory ending however and am not sure if I want to venture forward in the series.
this book was a little better the fist but I still did not like the main character, Zwaantie. She was stll very whinny, self-centered, childish and just very snotty. I think she was starting to get better but still was pretty bad. I still think she could have been written better. She still pissed me off more the she should have. And still want to slap her just to knock some sense into her if she was actually real.
Poor zwanntie She's growing up in Stella, by there's still a lot she doesn't know; Why can the voice still talk at her, why are fellow slaves turned friends are trying to kill her, How can Wilma be the Old Lady, does the old lady want the prophecy to fail or succeed, why does Ari say she has a pink glow and what is she going to do about Leo? So many questions and no answers.
Zwaantie finds herself in Stella fighting against the prophecy, but trying to do what is right. Stella is so different from Sol and she finds the differences overwhelming. I really like Ari, he adds a lot to the story and he has a lot of good qualities. Sage is fun and likable too. I love this whole plot and the developments as they are coming along. I can see where the story is shifting to go and I love it and I simply cannot wait for the next book! I volunteered to read this book.
The world building is still a bit shaky at best. The story is decent but I don’t know. I feel like the relationships are being rushed too much for how short the books are. There’s a lot of cringey lines that could be written better. Over all I’m still enjoying the story but the writing could be better.
* Note : I am voluntarily reviewing this. * This book was SO MUCH MORE AMAZING then the first one! Like , so much more amazing. With this book , we get to know our characters so much better then what we knew in the 1st book. Looking forward to so much more !
2nd book and again two 👍's way way up. Great story and caracter development. This is a good romance which communicates clearly without going to extream descriptive narrative. It draws you in, holds your attention and flows well with no lags. 😄
I love ari and sage I want ari lowkey but I do not like the whole “brother’s wife is my soulmate” bc they are gna do ari hella dirty and they’ll do leo bad too, atleast she’s gna start focusing on loving Leo pretty mid plot but I’m gna read all of them to see if she will finally love him
