Three and a half years ago, Tommy Wyatt was in Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo. He had only one thing on his mind—winning another national championship—until he met a beautiful young med student who changed his life.
Blake Eden is in the last few months of her general practice residency, interviewing for jobs and eager to move forward. But before she can seize her future, she needs to settle some things from her past—like bringing closure to her impulsive marriage to rodeo champion Tommy Wyatt.
When Blake shows up at the Salinas Rodeo demanding Tommy sign their divorce papers, Tommy makes it clear he isn’t interested in signing anything. When he married Blake, he meant his vows. Now Tommy has one week to convince his secret wife they’re meant to be together.
Born in Visalia, California, I'm a small town girl at heart. I love central California's golden foothills, oak trees, and the miles of farmland. In my mind, there's nothing sweeter in the world than the heady fragrance of orange blossoms on a sultry summer night.
As a little girl I spent hours on my bed, staring out the window, dreaming of far off places, fearless knights, and happy-ever-after endings. In my imagination I was never the geeky bookworm with the thick coke-bottle glasses, but a princess, a magical fairy, a Joan-of-Arc crusader.
My parents fed my imagination by taking our family to Europe for a year when I was thirteen. The year away changed me (I wasn't a geek for once!) and overseas I discovered a huge and wonderful world with different cultures and customs. I loved everything about Europe, but felt especially passionate about Italy and those gorgeous Italian men (no wonder my first very Presents hero was Italian).
I confess, after that incredible year in Europe, the travel bug bit, and bit hard. I spent much of my high school and college years abroad, studying in South Africa, Japan and Ireland. South Africa remains a country of my heart, the people, the land and politics complex and heart-wrenching.
After my years of traveling and studying I had to settle down and earn a living. With my Bachelors degree from UCLA in American Studies, a program that combines American literature and American history, I've worked in sales and marketing, as well as a director of a non-profit foundation. Later I earned my Masters in Writing from the University of San Francisco and taught jr. high and high school English.
I now live in Seattle and Hawaii with my three sons. I never mind a rainy day, either, because that's when I sit at my desk and write stories about far-away places, fascinating people, and most importantly of all, love. I like a story with a happy ending. We all do.
5 Stars! I think Montana Cowboy Promise might be my favorite book in this series. Wait! Actually, I know it is. Of all the Wyatt brothers Tommy is my favorite and has been since book one. Tommy is the brother with the biggest heart. He always believed in love and just knew that there was a soulmate out there for him. And when he meets her three years prior to where this story begins, he knows without a doubt that Blake is the one. An impulsive marriage after a few days of knowing each other is the most real thing in his life. Tommy loves his career in rodeo, he is loyal and loving to his family but there is something about Blake that brings out more.
I won’t go into the reason why Tommy and Blake were separated for a few years. That particular resolution develops as the story moves on in a perfect, steady pace. Their rode to forever-after is not simple. There are obstacles in the way that are not easy to hurdle over. But don't worry because Tommy Wyatt is a determined, head-over-heels in love cowboy and he won't give up without a fight.
Montana Cowboy Promise is an emotional novel written with sensitivity and believability. The main characters are stubborn but likable. I admit to being a bit frustrated with Blake until all is revealed. There are so many love-at-first sight novels that are quite cheesy and unrealistic. However, in my opinion, this author did a wonderful job at making me believe, without a doubt, in Tommy and Blake's relationship. I was invested and engaged from the first words.
If you haven't read the rest of the series, no worries because this book can stand on its own. I do however recommend this series highly.
While I received an advanced reading copy of this book, you are reading my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)
Heart-wrenching at times, this story had me turning the pages as fast as I could while praying that Tommy could convince Blake to give him and their marriage a chance. There is a strong cast of secondary characters, all of whom played a part in showing Blake what she was going to be losing if she gave up on Tommy. I loved the sense of family that was a constant presence through this story. Tommy’s mother and grandfather both made Blake welcome in their home during her stay and her parents were a presence throughout, albeit off the page. Montana Cowboy Promise is packed with emotion and had me in tears more than once. Thankfully it also brought a smile to my face as I read the epilogue.
This review contains spoilers. Content warnings for cancer, ovarian cancer, metastatic cancer, inability to have biological children. This review also contains discussion of whether this is a genre romance with an HEA. I believe it is.
****
I have really enjoyed the Wyatt family series and this one is no different. It is a very emotional story and there are content warnings that readers should check before diving in. Content warnings are not spoilers, they are to assist readers who may not want to read certain topics and who may need to be in a different emotional space to read other topics. So for those who need content warnings and for those who think they are spoilers, they are listed below.

CW: specifically cancer, ovarian cancer, and metastatic cancer. Also discussions about inability to have children.

Blake, a doctor just finishing her residency, and Tommy, the youngest Wyatt and a championship rodeo competitor, had a whirlwind 3 days in Vegas when they met, fell in love, and got married. Then they were separated by circumstances and three years later, Blake is trying to get Tommy to sign divorce papers. Tommy doesn't believe in giving up before he's tried, and refuses. Eventually they agree to one week to see if they can save the marriage or not. That week together is in Marietta on the Wyatt farm.
As always, Porter writes characters full of emotion and introspection. They are thoughtful characters who weigh their own feelings and the impacts they have on other people. Here, both characters are clearly fully in love with each other. The question is whether they can be together. Can Tommy's rodeo life based out of Marietta work with Blake's medical one based in San Francisco? On the surface this is country vs city, different lives and opposites attract. But really it's about what would you do to be with the one you love? How do you both compromise? There's a line that stuck with me that essentially says, Love can happen in an instant. But relationships are commitment and work and grow and develop over time. Blake and Tommy both have to decide whether to do the work and take the time to grow and develop their relationship. It's a grown up relationship and choices have to be made and I thought it was done really well.
The Wyatt family and other characters that we've seen throughout the Wyatt family series, make appearances and keep the reader grounded in the world. On the first page, Porter is describing the scene at a rodeo and placing us immediately in the California setting. We are in Vegas where Blake and Tommy met. We are on the Wyatt ranch, then in the hills around Marietta and the valleys of Yellowstone. It's one of the best things in Porter's books, we always know where we are and the sense of place is as strong as ever. Nothing is happening in a vacuum, we can see and feel where the characters are, right down to the classic cars and trucks that we have here.
*The following contains spoilers*
The ultimate sticking point for Blake is that she had cancer as a teen, and it returned shortly after her marriage to Tommy. But she's never told him. She feels she's on borrowed time and can't pull Tommy down with her as her health fails. To be clear, the character has metastatic cancer, but she is stable and not currently dying or failing. There is only brief discussion about how much time she might have. There is also discussion about her being unable to have children. All of this is relevant to her cancer and makes it real. I appreciate that Porter does not try to flower up a life threatening medical condition. Of course, Blake doesn't tell Tommy any of this and he only learns of it later, from another side character. That was a problem for me, I really wanted Blake to tell him, but it also felt real, even if it wasn't my choice. The discussion of not wanting to drag someone you love through a painful period, is all too real. It is how people feel when facing cancer. It is both how do I do this without you as well as I cannot do this to you, it will be too painful for you, the person I love and don't want to hurt. I think Porter does an excellent job with this. Of course Blake should tell him. Of course Tommy would want to be there for her. But when this happens, it is absolutely a real instinct to believe you cannot put the other person through this. Especially if one has already seen the impact of the first cancer battle on family, which Blake has seen.
This is a real grown up thing and I applaud Porter for taking it on. It does lead us to the next question and that is: But is this story a genre romance? A genre romance requires a central romance AND a happy ever after/happy for now ending. This clearly has the central romance, but is this an HEA? I believe it is. We do not have a death at the end. Let me repeat, Blake does not die. In fact, the story moves many years into the future. Not in a "magically healed" kind of way, but in the way of we are living and loving and embracing today. Look, I've been on the cancer road. That's the way you want your story to be - living and loving and embracing today. So it rings completely true. And technically in genre romance, there is not a single HEA romance where can we say the protagonists don't face some chaos and sadness in the future that is not on the page or epilogue but only in our imaginations. So we try to not imagine that chaos and blissfully ignore anything beyond the HEA. We can say in every HEA romance that today on the last page of the book, they are happy and in love and together and they are living their best lives. And that includes Blake and Tommy. Today on the last page, they are living and loving and happy together. And I will say that 10 years past a diagnosis, I will blissfully ignore anything beyond their HEA, just like I do for any other genre romance.
I received this arc of Montana Cowboy Promise from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the fifth book in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series by Jane Porter. This is Tommy Wyatt’s story. He is the youngest son of the family. He is a rodeo star who travels with his brothers from event to event. He was in California at a rodeo when he sees a woman from his past. We learn she is Blake Eden, his secret wife. They met in Las Vegas 3 years ago and got married then went back to their own lives. She was there for a bachelorette party and he was at the rodeo nationals. They spent time together and fell in love. She is a medical student finishing up her requirements before becoming a doctor. They return to their homes, hers in California and him to the family ranch in Montana, with the intent to tell their families. Instead they have not had any contact until this time.
We learn that Blake has come to the rodeo arena to ask Tommy to sign divorce papers. She’s decided it is the best decision for them as they are too different. She has to stay in the city, specifically the San Francisco area after finishing her residency. She explains it is to be close to her parents. His life is on a ranch in Montana with continuous travel to and from rodeos around the country. Tommy proposes for him to sign the papers and walk away, she must spend a week with him and give the marriage a chance. After he is injured at the rodeo, she agrees to take a week away and spend it with him at his family’s ranch.
At the ranch, she meets his family. They don’t tell them they are married. Blake hits it off with Tommy’s mom and grandfather. Tommy is working hard to try and convince Blake they should stay together. I can see the love the two feel for each other and can imagine how happy they will be if they choose to stay together after this week. We then learn that Blake is ill and doesn’t want Tommy to know. She doesn’t want him to pity her or feel obligated to stay with her and care for her as her condition worsens. As I read about her situation I felt so depressed. I had been rooting for the couple to put their efforts into fighting for their marriage. I was hopeful for them to reconcile and then was in tears over the way things seemed to be going.
There is so much angst and suspense in this wonderful book. I am glad the ending turned out the way it did. I have loved the series and this book was a terrific addition. I was happy to see the characters from the previous books show up again. Jane does a great job in describing the characters and their interactions. I am giving this 5 stars and recommend it.
MONTANA COWBOY PROMISE is the fifth book in Jane Porter’s Wyatt Brothers Romance series and just when you think you can’t love the family anymore, Porter brings you a story like this one. It’s beautiful, heart-warming, and perfect. How can you not love Tommy Wyatt? He’s got the biggest heart and is amazingly loyal to his family…even the wife he hasn’t seen in over three years. Tommy and Blake met in Las Vegas, had a whirlwind romance, and got married. Then they went home for the holidays: Tommy to Montana and Blake to California. The plan was to tell their families that they were married, but things didn’t go quite as Blake planned. Meeting Tommy, falling in love, and getting married after three days was completely against Blake’s nature. She was a serious person with plans that never included love or marriage. When she got home, reality intruded like a gut-punch and she told Tommy it was over. Luckily for her, Tommy didn’t give up so easily and waited for her. One week was all he asked. That’s not a lot to ask after three years of waiting, was it? One week for her to remember why they were together, meet his family…. And let him go because she had a secret knew she couldn’t keep him. Porter took a story that could have been depressing and, with a deft hand and a ton of heart, gently wove a beautiful and emotional tale that will have you rooting for these two from the very beginning. The story is unexpected, but with Tommy, Blake, and a wonderful cast of secondary characters you will be smiling through your happy tears. I couldn’t put this one down and the story will be in my heart for a long time to come. Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the book. All opinions are my own and freely given. #MontanaCowboyPromise #WyattBrothersRomance #JanePorter #TulePublishing #ReadzTule
MONTANA COWBOY PROMISE by Jane Porter This story is about Tommy Wyatt who is a rodeo competitor. He's really good at what he does. After an event in Las Vegas with his brother Billy he sees a woman being hounded by a group of four drunk men. He takes matters into his own hands and by the end of the night they were married. She heads back to CA to further her medical degree to become a doctor. He heads to his next rodeo and they don't see one another for 3 years. Blake does show up at one and asks him to sign the divorce papers. He has no idea what she's gone through in her life and she doesn't tell him. He agrees but only if she spends a week with him at the ranch in Montana. Love the people in his life that she gets to know and cherish the time she has with them. Love catching up with other relatives as they have appeared in the authors other works. When things come down to it you wonder who if either of them, will be the one to sign the papers. You wonder if they can get back to what they had the night they had first met. Their lives lead them in totally different states and it's no way to have a marriage where you don't see one another for years.... Love the travel, the new words I learned, the family, togetherness and if you love them set them free. if they come back it was meant to be... Emotional book, loved the ranch scenes and the horse ride, felt like my first ride a few years ago. Simple things like paintings at Dot's, flowers in spring and the good they want to give to others. Also how we are able to learn about their earlier relationship. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Another truly amazing story, Montana Cowboy Promise by Jane Porter, book five in her Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, brought us the story of youngest son Tommy and his soul-mate Blake. Three years ago, Tommy and Blake met in Las Vegas and married on a whim; spending only a few days together before going their separate ways. During their years apart, Tommy never saw another woman; he loved Blake so much that he just waited and hoped one day she would come back to him. Blake believed she had a legitimate reason why they couldn’t be together; knowing it would only cause Tommy heartache in the end. Blake finally appears at one of Tommy’s rodeos, not to get back together, she wanted a divorce so she could move on with her life. Blake did not realize that Tommy was willing to do anything to keep her in his life, by his side. Blake was in for a surprise when Tommy refused to sign; instead, he got her to agree to spend a week with him. If at the end of the week she still wanted the divorce, he would sign the paperwork; despite Tommy being determined to show her why staying together would be the best option. There are so obstacles along their path to happiness; lest of which is Blake keeping a secret from Tommy; a secret that, if they stayed together, could greatly change the outcome of their marriage and future together. Oh my, the emotions, the heartbreak, the feelings, the deep running love, all tugged at my heart.
Ms. Porter, an amazing story teller in her own right, wrote an amazing, emotional, inspirational, and heart-warming story, written with, written with sensitivity and believability that definitely should not to be missed. This story is filled with strong attraction, clever dialogue, and strong, big-hearted characters, enabling Tommy and Blake to overcome difficulties and be given a second chance for a future together. I highly recommend Montana Cowboy Promise to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Marrying a man three days after meeting him is like nothing Blake would have ever done. But when in Vegas and after being rescued from some drunken men who were harassing her, the connection that her and Tommy shared was undeniable. Having every intention of going back to San Francisco and informing her family of her marriage and him to Montana to do the same, unforeseen circumstanced had her second-guessing that decision. Instead, she told Tommy that what they did was a mistake and that they needed to rectify the situation. But three years later and still married, Blake shows up at one of Tommy’s rodeos surprising him. Determined to get him to sign the divorce papers and move on Blake was in for a surprise when Tommy refused to sign. Instead, he got her to agree to spending a week with him. If at the end of the week she still wanted the divorce, he would sign the paperwork. But he was determined to show her why staying together would be the best option.
Blake has been keeping a secret from Tommy. A secret that, if they stayed together, would greatly change the outcome of their marriage and future together. Would she finally open up to him and tell him what she’s been hiding from him all this time? He may even surprise her and still want her as a wife. But Blake’s decision was made. She was going to not only get these divorce papers signed, she was going to keep this secret from Tommy forever.
This is book #5 in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. It is written by Jane Porter.
It is the story of Tommy Wyatt and Blake Eden.
Tommy and Eden met three and a half years ago in Las Vegas for the Nationals Finals Rodeo. He had winning another national championship on his mind and then he met a beautiful young med student, Eden. Eden changed his life. They married after 3 days. Life separates them, but they still stay married. Blake is in her last few months for general practice residency. She is interviewing for jobs, eager to move forward. But she knows she needs to settle somethings from her past before she can move into the future. One of those things is bringing her impulsive marriage to Tommy to an end.
Blake shows up at the Salinas Rodeo demanding Tommy the divorce papers she has brought. He makes it clear that he meant his vows and isn't interested in signing anything that will bring their marriage to an end. Tommy gets Blake to agree to a one week visit that will prove to her they are meant to stay together.
Tommy has no idea the secret Blake has been carrying. He only knows how much his vows and promise to his wife means.
I loved this story. I enjoyed the aspect of commitment, family, and choices made in the midst of medical issues. It shows that you can have an HEA even if the ever is unknown. I appreciate Ms. Porter's taking on this issue, because it is what a lot of us are dealing with nowadays.
I never pass up a chance to read a novel by Jane Porter. Her stories continue to be replete with emotion, captivating characters, and an engaging plot. Montana Cowboy Promise is the fifth book from the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, and it can enjoyed as a standalone. If you like cowboys, rodeos and a love that stands the test of time, then pick up a copy of this book.
A little over three years ago, medical resident Blake Eden and rodeo champion Tom Wyatt spent a passionate weekend together in Las Vegas. They fell into lust, love and marriage, and they were completely sober at the time. They did not keep in touch and now Blake has tracked Tom down in order to get a divorce. She wants a clean slate as she begins her career as a doctor. The problem is that they are both still in love with each other and Tom wants Blake to give their relationship a chance.
I really enjoyed this sweet and sexy story. Ms. Porter's writing style is descriptive and always easy to understand. Blake and Tom are perfect together and I felt their connection almost immediately. Tom's grandad and mother add a nice interest to the story. Overall, a wonderful book and terrific series that should not be missed.
Tommy and Blake have a secret--they married three years ago after a whirlwind romance in Vegas. He had to finish the rodeo, she needed to get back to classes as a med student, but they would reconnect at Christmas and tell their families. Except fate stepped in and ruined everything.
Blake has come to Salinas to end their marriage, but Tommy said no, he wants a chance to prove they have a marriage worth saving. Blake grudgingly agrees to one week, she's sure there's nothing Tommy can do to change her mind, and she's bringing divorce papers in hand.
Life in Montana is different than she expected, and it's hard keeping their marriage a secret, especially when the biggest secret is one even Tommy doesn't know. Getting to know Tommy's family and their life on the ranch brings a new perspective. Blake thinks she's saving Tommy from a life of heartache, even as hers is breaking.
When they part ways, it will take more than a grand gesture to bring them back together. But love is funny that way, miracles can happen, and happily-ever-after does exist, even under circumstances we don't understand.
This story is a romance of belief, trust, and hard work to find--and keep--the love of a lifetime.
Tommy and Blake’s story started out a bit differently than most romance books. Three years ago, they met in Las Vegas and married on a whim. They only spent a few days together before going their separate ways. During their years apart, Tommy never saw another woman. He loved Blake so much that he just waited and hoped one day she would come back to him. But Blake had a reason why she thought they couldn’t be together. She knew it would only cause Tommy heartache in the end. When Blake finally returned, it wasn’t to get back together, she was wanting a divorce. Little did Blake know, Tommy was willing to do anything to keep her in his life.
I went through all sorts of emotions reading this book. The writing in this book was so good and the characters felt so real. It was a beautiful, heartbreaking, sweet and exciting story. This is one of those books that has you hoping it will become a movie one day.
Jane Porter writes the best second chance stories. She has done it again with Montana Cowboy Promise (Wyatt Brothers of Montana #5). This secret marriage, I will wait for you story is one than will pull at your heart, have you shaking your head then cheering them on, sometimes all at the same time.
Tommy Wyatt loves two things passionately, rodeo and his wife. Not that he has spent much time with his wife. It was an impulsive marriage in Las Vegas but vows that he has always kept. What is not to love about a faithful man who decides to fight the divorce and win his long time bride’s heart for good. Of course, there are other factors that come into play making this a page turner even though you feel sure there will be a happily-ever-after for Tommy and Blake. How could there not be?
4.5 Stars An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
In one night Tommy Wyatt rescued a damsel in distress and ended up married. The chemistry they shared was all consuming. For once Blake held on tight and did something spontaneous...she got married. Apparently what happens in Vegas really does stay there. She returns to California to complete her medical degree and he returns to the circuit. Now three years later she shows up at his family's Montana ranch with divorce papers. For him it was love at first meeting and he does not want a divorce. She agrees to stay on the ranch for one week to get to know him and his family and the life of a rancher in exchange for his signature. In that week she comes to love his family and really have feelings for Tommy. If only things could be different. She has one secret that keeps her from wanting to stay with Tommy. If she tells him the truth will he run or is he the kind of man her heart thinks he is? Great read.
Montana Cowboy Promise, the fifth book in Jane Porter’s Wyatt Brothers of Montana series is a roller ride of emotions. Tommy and Blake hit squarely in the heartstrings, their unusual journey is fraught with time and distance. Blake’s stoicism is juxtaposed by Tommy’s strength and all encompassing heart. I was engaged with and cheering for this couple from their meet cute, Tommy’s unintended rescue of Blake, and their subsequent marriage was endearing, as was their instant draw to each other.
I’m not sure the last time when two characters left such a lasting impression, well long after the story had ended…my emotions ran the gamut from tears to escalating joy. If there was ever a couple who deserved a true HEA, it was these two…they will go in my book lovers’ heart as one of my all time favorites.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
Tommy Wyatt found the love of his life in Las Vegas three years ago. Blake Eden had needed a hero and Tommy was it. They were married and had their future before them. Tommy was patient when his bride wanted to wait to tell her family. Then she refused to see him and asked for a divorce. Their marriage was their secret. What has kept Blake from following her heart? Tommy struggled to understand. He believed in their love. I wanted Blake to tell Tommy her secret and to let him have a choice. She needs to trust him. Jane Porter has written an emotional and heartbreaking love story. I understood Blake's desire to protect Tommy but I know that she underestimated the man she loved. Montana Cowboy Promise is a powerful story which made me cry at the tough decisions that Blake and Tommy had to make.
Tommy and Blake have a chance meeting in Vegas, after a whirlwind of three days they end up married. Both head home for the holidays with a plan to meet up right after the holidays. But, life gets in the way and three years pass. Blake has now come to Marietta to ask for a divorce but Tommy asks for one more week together. Blake is holding a terrible secret from Tommy, even though she loves him with her whole heart. Will they have their HEA?
Love the Wyatt brothers and Tommy is now my favorite. Tommy has the biggest heart and will not give up fighting easily. Blake is a genuine giving person and doesn't want to hurt a soul, even if means sacrificing her happiness. A fair warning, have a box of kleenex ready, many tears were shed through out this story.
Once again we are with the rodeo riding Wyatt brothers and this time we get Tommy's story if you have been following this series then like me you have probable been waiting for sweetest of all the brothers to get his story
Years earlier Tommy been the man that he was stepped in and came to the rescue of Blake Eden when she was being harassed before they know it these two where married and Tommy knew that Blake was the one for him but she needed to finish her medical residency so they went their separate ways Now she has tracked him down wanting him to sign divorce papers something he isn't willing to do after all he meant his vows and intends to keep them but can he convince Blakey that he is the man for her You will have to read to see
I liked this book, however I was not a huge fan of Blake. I understand the push and pull of her emotions but she just came off as weak and sometimes really annoying. At one point I wanted to just yell at her. I loved Tommy. He was amazing. He loved hard, worked hard and would do anything for those he loved truly a man’s man with a huge heart. I have read about some of the other characters in this book so it was fun to catch up and see what they are up to. I loved Melvin. He truly has the biggest heart for his family and such a grandpa that anyone would be blessed to have. Overall this book was a good read.
Tommy is a rodeo cowboy who meets Blake in Vegas. They impulsively get married and then go back to their regular lives without telling anyone their secret. They planned to tell their families at the holidays but life gets in the way. Fast forward several years of being apart and Blake tries to find Tommy to get him to sign divorce papers. Tommy has no interest in a divorce and wants to figure out why Blake has been avoiding him. What secret is she hiding? Can Tommy convince her that he can handle her secret and that their love is stronger than the challenges life throws at them? This is not your typical romance. The story is touching and well written. I loved it!
Book 5 in this series, but can be read as a stand alone.
I loved the way this book was written, it may have trigger aspects for some people, but I felt every aspect was dealt with honestly.
Tommy knows that he belongs with Blake, he just has to convince her, and she is hiding a secret that she felt could destroy any HEA with Tommy.
I love the way the book makes you realize that tomorrow is never promised, nor is the relationship pain free, while you work towards the HEA, and the ever part can be different for all couples.
I found the read to be hopeful, and we all need that in our lives.
If you like a heartwarming story, you will enjoy this book.
Montana Cowboy Promise is a tale of love, faith and second chances. I loved Tommy's determination and how he patiently waited for love to come to him and how he never gave up hope. He is a man forged by tragedy but a believer in hard work and resiliency. Blake has been tested by life on several levels and decides to take a chance on really living when she meets Tommy. When reality rears its head, Blake retreats and we see Tommy's patience come into play. As they rediscover what first drew them together, they have to search within themselves to see if it is enough to make them a match for a lifetime. This story had me tearing up and I enjoyed going on the journey with them.
You will love Tommy the cowboy who knows how to keep a promise and Blake with her secret and troubles will steal your heart to. This book will bring out all your feelings, tears rolling down your cheeks will attest to that. Oh it’s another one of Jane Porter’s books that has me all emotional with her writing of characters so real it’s hard to let them go when you hit the end. I was gifted an advance reader’s copy in exchange for my review which cannot even begin to let you know how awesome this one is.
A touching and endearing story of deep love stifled by the heartbroken fears of a woman who cannot see any other way but to leave. The love of Tommy and Blake started on a whirlwind when they met in Las Vegas. They had three days of instant love and a marriage. Three years apart, still in love, they meet again when Blake has divorce papers for Tommy. Tommy bargains for one week to bring her back to him with the hope of a forever love. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
You will fall in love with Tommy and Blake's story. This is such a great addition to this series. This is a second chance for Tommy and Blake. They meant in Vegas and had a memorable time together which resulted in them getting married. Now three years later Blake is back and wants a divorce. Tommy doesn't want a divorce so he makes a deal with Blake. Will he be able to convince her they belong together or will he lose everything he wants? I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
A true love story Tommy Wyatt (Rodeo Champ) and Blake Eden (finishing GP residency) met three years ago, impulsively married but have been apart since. Tommy has kept things secret for three years until Eden shows up with divorce papers. He wants time to convince his secret wife they need to remain married; she reluctantly agrees to his request for time. This story is emotional, passionate, and captivating. Love this book, can’t wait for the next one. Thank you, Jane Porter, for writing such wonderful, heartfelt stories.
Tommy Wyatt is a National champion rodeo rider. He meets Blake Eden in Vegas at the Finals for the championships. They fell in love after a few days and got married. Meanwhile, Tommy hasn't seen Blake for three years but finds her at a new rodeo wanting to complete a divorce. Tommy negotiates and ask for a week together to see if the marriage can be salvaged since they both love each other despite the whirlwind romance and marriage. Tommy is determined to show his wife that she is the one for him. Blake is determined to divorce.
A loving story of a promise kept and love that is forever. Blake Eden and Tommy Wyatt married in secret during a weekend in Vegas ..during one of his rodeo championships. Fast forward 3 1/2 years...Blake needs Tommy to sign divorce papers so she can move on with her life, but Tommy doesn't want to let go...he wants his wife by his side. He has one week to change her mind. This story tugged hard on my heartstrings. The story is of love that runs deep ...despite everything.
I voluntarily read a advanced Reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion.
Montana Cowboy Promise by Jane Porter. Book 5 in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. The story of Tommy Wyatt and Dr. Blake Eden. Their ups and downs in life and their possible together journey forward. A book I could not put down.
Montana Cowboy Promise really tugs at the heart strings. Tommy's determination to not give up on his impulsive marriage to Blake is probably my favorite part. I truly enjoyed the real life issues in this book. I loved catching up with the characters from previous books in the series especially Melvin and Summer. I would highly recommend this book and the entire series.
