Searching Hearts II: Finding Home

Rate this book
Over the past year, Calvin Bradley’s life was turned upside down and inside out—multiple times. He lost his family. He lost his best friend. He lost the life he had planned and found himself wandering lost with no desire to be found.

Ellen Camstead hasn’t been able to get her life out of park. She’s decided it’s time to move onward and upward, if not in terms of her salary, then at least in terms of the impact she can have on the world. Leaving her small-town life, her sister, and the community that loves her will be perfectly easy, especially since she’s sure God will approve of the sacrifices she’s about to make. Right?

When Cal and Ellen got thrown together by accident, it soon became clear that God doesn’t dabble in coincidences. Now, for the first time in months, Calvin’s considering opening up to life and the Lord. Ellen knows that something special might be developing, but is it worth changing her plans for? Or is it possible that this was the plan all along? In the touching conclusion of the Searching Hearts series by M. Culler, Calvin and Ellen realize that life is an exercise in curveballs and that things don’t necessarily go as they plan, but rather as God has planned. Calvin needs a friend who can help him find his path back to reality—whatever his new reality looks like. Ellen needs someone who sees her through new eyes and believes she can blaze any trail she wants. As their friendship deepens and the journey continues, they both share one big question. Are they meant to be together when their travels end?

M. Culler crafts an engaging story that will touch your heart and make you laugh. It's one of those stories that are oh so real in the world, where fate and faith take a hand, and two people come together and become more then is possible individually. Culler's narrative and dialogue will make the heart beats and bumps along the way, so very real and delicious and culminate it all in an ending that satisfies deeply. Highly, Highly recommended.
