I was so excited for this one.. but I'll be honest the guys didn't click for me.. I love alphas and assholes.. but I didn't buy the chemistry between the 3 or even one on one.. I think it was how they treated Frankie.. it was more like a hoe then a girlfriend/lover would be treated.. most of the time she was tied up and used.. which I would be down for if they treated her better.. :/

But I wish Frankie stood up more for herself even at the young age she is.

Maybe the next one shall be better.

A hit that took another course when two brother assassins decide to not fulfill their contract on an unexpected Frankie. Sweet Frankie finds herself taken and held by the two bad boys, Evan and Mason, who find they are initially attracted to and then fond of her. This was an enjoyable story balancing romantic suspense and heady spice with a touch of kink. A refreshing palate pleaser on longer tales getting right to the heart of the story with a well-developed plot, some dark themes, and festiveness, I enjoyed this novella.

Frankie Barrymore was a twenty years old waitress working at a strip club on a sleazy part of town. She's beautiful and curvaceous, because of this her boss Dimitri would come on to her constantly. He even wanted he to be be a stripper. When customer who patronize his club frequently offers Dimitri twenty five thousand dollars to sleep with Frankie she declined and quit. He corners her with the intention of raping her but she hit over the head with a chair. Dimitri then put out a hit on Frankie's life thousand dollars. Evan and Mason are two brothers and also hitmen. They job the take out Frankie, the two thought that it would be a quick twenty thousand and that the mark was a man until they got to the apartment and saw pretty princess bedding and the beautiful women laying asleep suddenly they grew a conscience. They couldn't bring themselves to kill her so kidnap her and take to their house until they could figure it out.
Frankie was scared and didn't know what she did that would make someone wanted to kill her. The brothers were attracted to her and they planned on using her for their troubles. She tried escaping so they had to tie her and this led them exploring attraction. It was carnal, erotic, libidinous, and raunchy. One taste and the brothers dubbed Frankie as their's and they would kill her. Dimitri somehow found that they didn't kill her and he was having them followed and kidnap Frankie on Christmas day after she run away from after visiting their at the nursing home. It was a massacre at the club when Evan and Mason went to go get their back Dimitri thanks to the tracker that Mason put in her clothes. You Dimitri was a very bad guy and girls would missing from his club all the time because he would murder them. Therefore Frankie was lucky that it was the brothers who took the job and not someone else. I like The Christmas Mistake there was parts that got on my nerves but all in all it was a cute story. Great characters well thought out plotline and easy to follow.

2.5 stars. Hmm I feel as a ménage this was a bit of a disappointment for me. The bright side is it didn't drag on, but the thing is I felt the guys had a weird not real romance or anything for Frankie besides her body. Like no features of her besides being an attractive young woman is the only thing that got them to want her. I felt that Frankie although young, it's not that she was super young enough to not have more of a mind as well. The other jarring thing is that the guys said that they saved her being who she was, but if she didn't wake up...they were prepared to kill her. So that lie in the beginning (or maybe the author forgot) - was a weird unsettling thing for me as the reader of their relationship.

Even if you are reading this just for the steam, the way it's written is steamy but confusing - such as you aren't sure who is doing what because the descriptions are so vague. For Frankie I can see the instalust on her end for them making her physically feel good - but the guys to her feel like they are just treating her as a live-in hoe. There is a HEA and such but there's really nothing more to Evan and Mason.

What a brilliant short story
Mason and Evan thought they had it made. A job that would give them $20 grand just before Christmas they were a bit bothered by it being a young lad but they thought about what this money would mean for their mum so they excepted the job. But they got the shock of their life when they found out that Frankie was actually A young female who was stunningly beautiful could they really take her out??
Frankie‘s life was just pure hell but she made herself get up every day and continue to make a difference. she woke up to find two males with guns standing over her bed. She was totally confused and she knew there was no way she was going to get away from them do the plan killing her or kidnapping her??
That’s all I wanna say because I don’t wanna give away the storyline but this read is hot hot hot!!!! there is something very electric about the interactions between these three. It will make your skin tingle. I find it amazing how Darcy Rose can get so much across in a short story. I absolutely adore her stories and can’t wait for the next one. A fantastic read

When a hit turns into a rescue

Mason and his brother Evan are hitmen and their latest job is supposed to be a quickie for $20,000 to get rid of some twenty year old kid named Frankie. While they wondered what their mark could of done to have someone want them dead especially a few days before Christmas they took the job anyway. What they find when they get there isn't what they were expecting but instead find a girl a beautiful innocent looking girl named Frankie not a guy. Instead a killing her they decide to take her. They are attracted to her and decide to act on that after falling asleep in the same bed where they tied her up. Even though she tries not to react her body has other ideas. You can feel the chemistry but there is a part of them fighting that pull which causes tension between them. Also they have to figure out who wants her dead before they come after them. I enjoyed this novella I just wish there was a little more backstory on her.

It was supposed to be just another hit. He and his brother have done this a million times it seemed like an easy payday right before Christmas. Only when they walk into the bedroom they are shocked at what they see. "Frankie" is not a man. What they find is a beautiful woman asleep in her pink room in a dilapidated building in the bad part of town.

Mason and Evan don't know who she made mad enough to take out a hit, but instead of killing her, they kidnap her.

I loved this book. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This MFM story is full of triggers so beware if you have issues with dark romances with moments of non-consent.

This book is action-packed and full of danger and suspense. As Mason and Evan fight to protect Frankie from an unknown danger Frankie is just as determined to escape her kidnappers. If you love dark romance you will love this story!

They were assuming that Frankie was a guy who pissed of the wrong person. She was not expecting them at all. They take her instead of the alternative. Frankie finds herself drawn to both bad men but is not sure to trust her feelings. She is still in danger so the men have to keep her safe any way they can. This is a story of instant attraction that leads Evan and Mason to change things for the first time. They have plenty of conflict to go along with all the steam. It was short but did not disappoint

As with all of Darcy Rose’s short novels, I always wish they were longer, because I really like how her characters are written and I always feel like they’re so much deeper and that there is so much more to discover about them. #TheChristmasMistake was no different. I liked Mason the most, because he was open and almost sweet and so thoughtful, but Evan has this dark and broody personality that I always love in main characters.

At the same time I feel like there was so much backstory on Frankie to be discovered and that made me incredibly curious. I want to know what happened to her and what was up with her family situation! I guess I will have to make something up in my own mind now.😂❤️

They can’t kill this beautiful young woman. They realise how unprepared they were. So reluctantly Frankie finds herself taken from her home to theirs. They then have to work together to find out who ordered the hit and why, keeping Frankie safe from other hitmen. The three of them find themselves growing closer with both brothers wanting her and Frankie falling for both of them. But danger is waiting in the wings…
A really enjoyable hitman with a twist tale. A seasonal RH with a difference. Loved it.

Enjoyable captive romance for the holidays!

This captive romance begins with two hitmen who are brothers accepting a job. Evan and Mason stealthily enter the mark's apartment ready to kill Frankie Barrymore until they enter the pink princess bedroom and discover that Frankie is a young woman. Taken off guard by the pink purity of Frankie's bedroom Mason and Evan abduct Frankie instead. Now they have to figure out what to do with her. Also, who put a hit on a young girl who is relatively innocent? Read The Christmas Mistake to find out how Frankie, Mason, and Evan solve their problems and spend their holiday. Be ready for the heat these three generate as they spend time in bed getting to know ALL about the other. I recommend The Christmas Mistake for a holiday read to those who like their books steamy!

This was a short holiday novella. This story is about two brothers Evan and Mason who are put on a job to kill someone named Frankie.

The brothers go to the apartment of the person they were sent to kill. They find out that Frankie is a beautiful young woman. They aren’t able to kill her because they find themselves attracted to the young woman. They take her back to their place and tie her to the bed. They end up having sex with her. I didn’t like the dirty talk they used on her it was just too much. Evan and Mason are very much alpha males with big egos.

In the end Frankie falls for the two men and she stays with them. I wasn’t a fan of either of them. I am glad I read it however.

Steamy Hitmen Romance

Evan and Mason are brothers and hitmen. They get a job that should have been like every other they've done. Get in, hit the target and get paid, but this time, they were shocked to find their hit, Frankie, was an innocent girl. They decided to keep her instead of completing the hit. The chemistry between these three is off the charts! This read was very steamy and well done! I definitely recommend this book as well as other books by Darcy Rose. You won't be disappointed!

2.5 ✨ Holiday on the run

Is a more appropriate title. Short novela where accepting a job to being DP'd in front of the Christmas tree happens in a matter of 2.5 days. Frankie's character needs more defining. Evan and Mason's career choice leaves their characters being cold. So not enough time to build a foundation, so that these 3 are wanting to have the happy ever after Ms. Rose has given them. Not believable. Storyline has great potential. There's no cheating or cliffhanger and the story ends on a happy note. 🧐

This book brings us brothers Mason and Evan, and Frances "Frankie". Mason and Evan work for men who want "work" done and people eliminated. One person is Frankie, who they are surprised to find out is a girl. One look at her eyes, and they know they won't be able to eliminate her. Frankie, at first, tries to escape, but finds the more she is with both Mason and Evan, she is starting to fall in love with them. She leaves, and gets herself into trouble, but as usual, Mason and Evan rescue her. I did enjoy this story. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

This was an interesting and incredibly steamy dark romance. Mason and Evan are brothers and hitmen. Their new mark is Frankie. When they discover Frankie is actually a girl, they find themselves drawn to her and unable to complete their assignment. Until they decide how to handle the hit on her, they take her home with them. What they want is for her to be theirs, but will Frankie find happiness with them? Or will the way they met be too much for this threesome to overcome?

Merry Dark and Deadly Christmas

This novella finds two hitmen falling for the person for whom they’ve been contracted. Unsurprisingly, the story has plenty of darkness, as well as some pretty dubious consent, but there’s a Merry Christmas in the end. I liked the simpatico between Mason and Evan when it came to dealing with all things, but especially when it came to dealing with Frankie -wink, wink.

Is it a Christmas Mistake?

Is it a Christmas Mistake for Mason and Evan when they meet Frankie? There is chemistry but they meet under odd circumstances. Can Frankie cope or will she run? Mason and Evan must make a hard decision. This book contains some datker elements, violence as well as sweetness all mixed up with Christmas. A shorter read and would have loved for some elements to be expanded but overall an enjoyable read.

Really enjoyed this story. Mason and Evan are brother and also share being hitmen together. They are hired to make a hit. This time as they are standing over the bed of Frankie, who's a woman, and totally innocent. All three of them are shocked but all three are drawn together by the attraction and chemistry they have.
