Driscoll and Mckenna meet in the airport on their way to San Diego. They are instantly attracted to each other and they find their opening to get to know each other through a lost little girl at the airport. Their relationship blossoms quickly but they still have outside factors that could put a damper on their relationship.

I really enjoyed this book! Both Driscoll and McKenna are likable, personable, and you can't help but root for them. Driscoll knew pretty quickly that McKenna was his One and he was going to do everything he could to show her that. While McKenna had a bit of insta-love as well, she had to deal with past hurts and work to not keep them from ruining what she's building with Driscoll.

The supporting characters were great, her friends were true friends and they had her back while making sure they called her out when she needed to be. Her family was great too, once her mom got over things.

That boardroom scene where McKenna put Chandler in his place had me cheering! Her cousin and Jefferson got what they deserved even though I feel like her cousin could've gotten more. I still feel like the ex-wife wasn't innocent, something about her seemed off.

Overall I enjoyed this a lot.

I loved this couple

They were so sweet. Driscoll didn't believe in love at first sight but he knew when he saw McKenna in the airport she was something special and that she was his forever future. He thanked every day for the lost little girl who brought them together. KeNyMcKenna's face was the last he wanted to see at night and the first to see in the morning and he had to persuade her to be his. He would do what was necessary to protect her and keep her safe.

So, when McKenna's lying no-good ex started stalking her, it didn't sit well with all the men in her life. Besides that, he was caught up in an investigation done by Driscoll's group in the Treasury department on the company McKenna worked for. This was a turn in the plot I was not expecting. Being a part of the Secret Service required secrecy. McKenna should have understood that being an accountant for a financial institution. But she pushed him away thinking about everything but what was in front of her. She was afraid Driscoll was just using her for his investigation. Her girlfriends talked her down from her fears. Good thing too. Now she and Driscoll have their HEA.

NOTE: This book made Facebook BWSL's top 2021book list and was read on that recommendation. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

For Real by new author Daria McCoy was an EXCELLENT and AMAZING book!! It was very well written and oh so sexy! McKenna and Driscoll had amazing chemistry from the moment they first met! You could feel the passion flow effortlessly between them! Her girls (Alanna and Dori) were real ones, who checked her when she was putting up roadblocks or pulling away from Driscoll! They were funny and good friends! I loved Driscoll’s cousin Jorge and hope we get he and maybe Alanna’s story. McKenna was very apprehensive about her feelings for Driscoll because of her previous relationship but I loved how he calmed her and reassured her of their feelings for each other by showing her how much he loved her! He not only showed her but he made her feel it! Her family was understandably cautious about her being in another interracial relationship especially her protective mom but they gave Driscoll a chance to prove himself. Her cousin deserved everything her hating behind got and she deserved more in my opinion! Jefferson got EXACTLY what he deserved! I hope we get future stories about Kenneth and Scott especially Kenneth and McKenna’s cousin. There might be something interesting there. I don’t usually read new authors cause you don’t know what you’re going to get but this was an awesome read and I would highly recommend this book! Great job on your first release author Daria McCoy! Brava!!

Airport Love

Mira was the cutest lil girl with her friendly unicorn, watching the airplanes come and go. She was excited because this was her first trip on a plane. She was lost but had no idea that people were looking for her. So, she stopped and talked to McKenna and Driscoll about the wonderful machines that could fly.
I was glancing down at the kindle list and saw Candy, book three in the series. Imagine my happiness when I realized that there were three books in the series and that I could read for three days. Reading makes me so happy, like Alanna. After chapter three I was elated because I could read three books and For Real was well written, grammatically correct and interesting. Thank you Darie McCoy !!!. I read constantly and love a good series but love reading them in order. my interest is held when the characters are well rounded and full of life. I also enjoy a plot with twists and turns and unexpected flips. I love to explorer the relationships of multiracial couples and the families that support them or not. I love a well written book and the gravy that pours over a well crafted story. Thank you for your gift of storytelling and your well honed craft of writing. Happy, happy! Joy, joy!

I don't believe a book review should contain details that spoil the journey for other readers. So here is mine.

This was my first time reading something from this author. I really enjoyed the story overall. It was a quick erotic read. I felt the plot and characters were well done and believable for the most part. I admit for me, it's hard to take a quick leap from the initial meeting to something physical but that's just me.

The writing style flowed nicely but some dialogue between the male and female leads was not what I like to read in any story. Honestly, I find it crude and disrespectful not loving or romantic. But the author saw the story with that type of dialogue to establish her characters and I just went with it. What also helped me to trust the author was having a clear understanding set in my mind that every author has a vision of their story and how to tell it. So what I didn't care for didn't take away from my continued reading and enjoyment of the story told.

This is my introduction to Darie McCoy and from this one book, I'm an instant fan! The way Driscoll and McKenna meet in the airport is so super cute and original, I was sucked in immediately. I know the insta-love trope can be overused, but it was made fresh to me in this book. Driscoll's and McKenna's attraction to each other literally heated up my Kindle! They were on fire for each other. McKenna's hesitancy to trust Driscoll, although frustrating, was so relatable. And even though he knew at times that the lengths he was going to protect her was driving a wedge between them, I loved that his first priority was still to protect her anyway. The way they made up.... super hot!

Wonderful Start

Really enjoyed this book, I was in the middle of getting another and saw this and downloaded a sample. Read the sample and bought it and I'm pleasantly surprised. It hooks you from the beginning and holds you until the end. Drama that ends quickly and I only noticed 2-3 typos mostly misplaced words that didn't distract from the story.

I wonder who will be her nice story leads? It looks as if Alanna is up but not sure about the him but I can't wait. I'm following Ms. McCoy.

Great job. I give you a Ten.

Phenomenal!

This brand new author wrote one amazing and complete story. It drew me in and held me until the dreaded words "The End" appeared in the page. The fully developed characters of Driscoll and McKenna was a breath of fresh air and made the story so vivid. Both Driscoll and McKenna were established career people and not looking for love when love found them.

The drama that unfolded was intense and believable without being too farfetched. A job well done Darie McCoy! I'm looking forward to d swing other booking you.

I’m placing my order for a Driscoll!!!

Wow! I loved this book and definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance. Driscoll is the man! He knows what he wants and is not afraid to pursue the love of a lifetime! I am glad MeKenna got out of her head and and stopped comparing Driscoll to her crazy ex-stalker and saw that Driscoll was A real man that loved her and would protect her no matter what! This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. I gave this book 5 stars because they don’t allow 10 stars 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

DEFINITELY!!!!

Ms McCoy is a new author for me. But, after reading SANO'S QUEEN, I was hooked and immediately went searching for more by this author. I was happy and a bit disappointed. I only found one other book. And, whoo, chile, let me tell YOU. Okay, I won't spoil it for you, but Driscoll is my new book boyfriend. FOR REAL is HOT, SEXY, and SUSPENSEFUL. Ms McCoy is now at the top of my book buy list. I will be stalking her page for her next book.

Driscoll and McKenna...amazing

I am so glad I took a chance on this wonderful new author. For Real was so well constructed, with impeccable character development. We got a ring side seat to watch them meet and fall in love and then we were able to be a part of their growth and the rest of the story.

So Sweet!

What a debut! Ms. McCoy gifts us with a true romance from start to finish. Swoony Driscoll is the consummate book boyfriend. McKenna is not anyone’s damsel in distress but still gains a Prince Charming. Sigh. There’s action, intrigue and steamy chemistry with some sweetness, too. This story is the whole package!

I love this book.

Best romance I have read in a long time. Just the love from them both. I wish it was longer. But I loved what I read. I don't need a billionaire fantasy or a Mob killing everybody. All I need was a true love story. Her brother and father are the essences of a male role model. Can't wait to read your next book.

Very nice

I enjoyed this story. It kept moving and did not get boring. The characters were believable and Driscoll and McKenna were great together. I did like the history of San Diego. Their families were normal people. Cassandra was stupid, but there is one in every family. Nicely written.

love this book so much!

From beginning to end, there are very cute moments in this book. Mira’s excitement at the airport, Driscoll and McKenna joining together to help her find her mom is the cutest thing. This book has some very steamy moments as well. Can’t forget her fighting her unhinged miserable cousin. Loved the ending.
