Rate this book
It’s the biggest night of President Nick Cappuano’s life. Will his first lady make it to the Capitol in time for his speech?

Sam Holland is faced with one of the most confounding cases of her career and juggling some complex issues at home with the couple’s children. Add to that some vexing security concerns, and the first couple are on edge as they wonder whether they’ll pass this first big test for the fledgling Cappuano administration.

I really hate to see real world politics and real world biases making its way into Marie’s books. It’s her right to do so, but as a reader there is only so much I’ll read of the same issues being thrown out there before moving on.

mah....this rather than a book, it seemed to me to be filler, with the exception of bringing back to the police station a character who is now very angry with Sam. Nick's thoughts about his "new job" were boring and repetitive and I would have liked more action; anyway I have hope that the next book may be different, for which thankfully, I don't have to wait that long!

A little disappointing

So…is this series bringing the old plot lines to an end and getting ready to start new ones? I am wondering because this book was short on police work and long on meandering references to other, newer characters. The result was kind of boring and a little disappointing. I love when Sam engages in investigations and interacts with citizens and other cops. This story was short on that and just seemed, I hate to say, boring and repetitive.

Full review closer to release date. Until then I'll just leave you with this: Marie Force has outdone herself with this installment in this much-loved series. Readers won't be disappointed!

Running out of steam

I've loved the Sam and Nick story lines but just can't get behind the author's need to bring her personal political views into the last couple books. What should be enjoyable has turned into a drug out repetitive drone.
There were so many missed opportunities to show the readers about the development of the relationship between Sam, Nick, and the twins when she was rehabbing from the broken hip but they were barely mentioned. Instead the author spent so much time repeating Sam's stubborn/bad attitude!
I haven't decided if I'll cut my losses and end the investment into this series but I honestly don't expect the additional book to be much better.

Lt. Sam Holland and President Nick Cappuano are once again faced with murder cases to solve and problems facing the country. While Nick plans his first State of the Union address, Sam deals with the backlash of disobeying an order as well as a broken hip that sidelines her temporarily. She also picks up a new case involving a serial rapist that has now escalated to murder. Many of Sam's and Nick's family and friends are also dealing with personal and professional issues of their own. Through it all, Sam and Nick manage to enjoy their love story and maintain a solid relationship.

State of the Union continues the story of the First Family and all of the characters in their world. Marie Force manages to keep these books believable enough to keep the stories interesting and make it easy to invest in the characters, however, as more and more characters are added, it does become difficult to keep up with all of them. Also, the voices of the characters do tend to blend together. Overall, though, State of the Union is an entertaining story that is difficult to put down. 4 1/2 stars.

Not as compelling as the other books in this series. Not much excitement or action. Additionally and regrettably, there is a lot of gratuitous profanity. Disappointing. Meh. 🫤

Nick and Sam are back in the third book in the First Family series, and the nineteenth book overall and once again this story is the bomb!!

Quite literally as it happens. As it picks up where State of Grace left off; with the first family and their friends celebrating Christmas in the White House until a bomb is found at the gates.

But a bomb quickly becomes the least of their worries as Nick has to deal with threats from North Korea and prepare for his first State of the Union address.

And Sam well she's got a vexing case to solve. When a young woman is found brutally assaulted and killed and DNA links her killer to a series of rapes in the area.

But just as Sam and her dedicated team are about to dig into the case. Sam becomes incapacitated and it couldn't of happened at a worse time. As this killer is far from finished.

Not to mention, once again the MPD is under huge scrutiny, her foe Sargent Ramsey is back on the job. And the anniversary of Detective Arnold's death is fast approaching.

And with a gripping storyline, so much humour, suspense, emotion, intrigue and heat. State of the Union was a fantastic read in a series that has just gone from strength to strength. And I'm really excited and a little scared to find out what happens next.

I'd 100% recommend this story and series to others.

Contemporary Romance Series 2024. KU Trope Politics. First Family #3 State of the Union.
MC's Nick Cappuano (POTUS #47) & Samantha Holland Cappuano ( Lieutenant Homicide DC Metro Police and First Lady)
The story or Saga of the Homicide Dept, White House and the Cappuano Family and Friends continues.
Story: 50 % Homicide Dept 30% Police/20% Cops relations- 25% Politics-25% Capuano Family & Friends
It starts off at Christmas at the White House with both Nick and Sam's family and extended family and friends in attendance. The go to Camp David but work and a blizard put a dent in their holiday plans. A cold case and serial rapist plus honoring a fallen police officer are the highlights in the DC homicide unit. Sam falls on the ice and breaks her hip. The female that Nick wants is sworn in a VP. One of Sam's Detectives is promoted to Deputy Chief of Police ( some of the Police Force are not supportive but her team is). Eli and his girlfriend Candace are married. Gigi and Cameron confess their love both work with Sam in homicide. Nick writes his own State of the Union Speech. He doesn't plan on campaigning.

There’s a reason this is one of my favorite series, and that’s because these characters come alive on the page. Sam and Nick are one of those couples where you would just love to be friends with them, and not just because you might get a chance to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom.

This particular book takes place over the course of time between Christmas and heading up to the State of the Union address. And while, yes, there are political themes to the book, in no way, shape, or form does Marie Force shove her political views down her your throat.

This book centers predominantly around solving a rape and murder spree, the spree has been going on for a while and there seems to be no way to solve it. Sam and her unit are trying very hard to do so, when she is felled by with a broken hip, and she also has to figure out how to deal with being desk bound, some thing she’s not used to. Also, at the same time, another member of the unit continues to work on a cold case from Lt. Stahl’s days even though they were told to stop doing so while the unit is under scrutiny. But this Detective knows that she’s on to something and she needs to keep looking into it.

The fact that her unit knows that Sam always has their back is one of those things that just make me love the series. Sam and Nick have made such a wonderful extended family, it just makes the books so much more enjoyable for me.

Love this series with Sam and Nick and all the other characters! Lots going on in this book, plus it's a cliff hanger with an apology at the end that the next book will be out in 3 months to pick up where this one has ended.

If you haven't read any of the Nick and Sam books, start with the Fatal Series - you won't be sorry.

I feel like it’s just the same formula with these books. The different storylines feel unfinished. The writing seems sophomoric and I know that Marie can write better than this. Three stars is generous.

5 Star Review of State of The Union (First Family #3) by Marie Force

AUDIO REVIEW:

I couldn’t wait to listen to State of the Union as Nick and Sam juggle their outrageously busy lives. This was a great book and one that I listened to in almost one go. Eve Kaminsky did a wonderful job bringing the story to life for me and her voice is easy to listen too as she narrates.

It was so great to be back in the world of Nick and Sam, their extended family and friend. It really is like coming home when I read or listen to these books. Nick and Sam are so well suited to each other and their love continues to grow whilst living complicated and at times dangerous lives.

Ms. Force delivered a story that had me on the edge of my seat whilst listening. As I have come to expect from this series, there were so many twists and turns that has me gasping at times.

Add in that Sam sustains an injury that puts her out of action which causes headaches for all those around her. You cannot help but be drawn into the story and as always I loved catching up with Sam, Nick, Scotty, the Littles and all their extended family.

I cannot wait to see what she has in store for the gang in her next book State of Shock after the jaw dropping ending to State of the Union.

This series continues to be one of my favorites. It has characters that I love. Each book we character progression. Nick is working hard as President and wants people to understand his commitment and goals. Sam continues to work in the Metro PD homicide department. She's tackling a particularly difficult and perplexing case. One of the things I love it how Nick and Eve support each other. That was in the forefront of this book. Nick's State of the Union address was one of my favorite parts of the book. I wish he could be President. The book ends on a cliffhanger. I eagerly await finding out what happens next. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves strong female characters, couples who support each other, interesting side characters and police procedurals. The book would be better enjoyed by reading the series in order.

I do love the stories following Nick and Sam, in fact Marie’s first book in the Fatal series (which introduced these 2 characters) was the very first book I had read any of her stories and have continued to follow her ever since. BUT I am getting a bit tired of every character in the story continually saying ‘thank you’……yes manners and saying ‘thank you’ is important in life and should be said, but it is not necessary every single time the characters meet/communicate. I did waver and nearly stopped reading this but I just couldn’t, I had to carry on, I couldn’t abandon Nick and Sam

So Marie please please please tone down the ‘thank yous’ and I can get back to thoroughly enjoying my 2 favourite characters and giving solid 4 and 5 star reviews.

what’s blast!! not literally thank goodness

I so hang out for Sam and Nick books and they are always worth the wait.
I gotta say Sam is awesome at injuring herself on the job and off it lol what can I say life just sucks some days.
I love how emotional I get when reading a Sam and Nick story and not just for Sam and Nick but the beautiful big family they have built that is ever growing.
So here’s to Marie Force an amazing author who writes the most beautiful and sometimes horrifying stories that leave me feeling at a loss because it’s over and then excited to read what’s next.

Ahhhh! Reading a Marie Force book about Sam & Nick is like coming home. The humor, suspense, action, friendships and love is all there. 16 books later + 3 spin off books and I’m invested in this couple and their life. Force has created an admirable cast of characters and I can’t wait to read the next book being released in December especially after that cliffhanger!

Good read but not my favorite

This series is starting to be too realistic and less fictional. Topics like race, women, guns etc. are in the news all the time so when I read a fiction book I don't expect those topics. The state of the union speech was too much. Just overall not what I was looking for and I've read the whole series and previous series.

i start to thinking the family has been cursed.

the father was shoot then the niece was the survivor of gang rape, the daughter injuries all the time and married a man be the POTUS at the end, now brother in law not wake up while her sister is pregnant?

please too many dramatic things and need to stop, can we give the family a peace of moment?

i m sure it’s not normal that so many incidents happen in that family.

16 or 17 plus four more, may be too much.

June 2024 - re-listened.
________________
Jan 2023 - re-listened. I just wish we didn't have to spend so much time with those NA couples and their college romances.
________________
Sep 2022 - listened

I liked it, even though there are multiple threads throughout the book and we have a couple of (to me) YA romances in the mix. As I was listening to this, I did tune out whenever the sexy scenes started and there were plenty of those, not only from Sam and Nick but from many other couples.

Nick is preparing for his State of the Union address whilst Sam is dealing with A LOT of stuff, both personal and professional. I also enjoyed the glimpses we get of Camp David. I can see the attraction of going somewhere away from the constant and relentless scrutiny as the POTUS.

It's looking like MF will continue to give us some sort of explosive statement at the end of each book to get us coming back for the next. I'm glad the wait time is so much shorter this time around. :)

Overall, it's another good addition to the series and I enjoyed catching up with Sam, Nick and all the secondary characters. Scotty is just adorable!

Let me start off by saying that I have loved this series. The last book was a little lackluster and this book started off great. Near the end, I started skipping pages and that is never a good sign for me. Will I purchase the next book, probably, but this one fell short for me.

RANDOM THOUGHTS
I enjoyed this one! It’s always fun diving back into the world of Nick, Sam, and their circle—it feels like catching up with old friends. The characters are still great, the storyline keeps things moving, and I’d give it about a 3.9. Definitely an easy, entertaining read.

That said, it wasn’t perfect. Some parts dragged for me, especially all the sex scenes—I skipped a bunch. I wanted way more banter with Freddie, more moments with Scotty and the twins, and a stronger case to solve. The plot was a bit predictable at times, and I’m so over Ramsey.

But, of course, the drama keeps you hooked. Between Nick prepping for his State of the Union address, Sam juggling intense cases, and both of them dealing with random bomb threats, family chaos, and scandals, it’s nonstop. I loved the glimpses of Camp David—it’s such a cool setting—but the whole “Sam can’t stay away from work” thing was classic Sam. She’s a total adrenaline junkie, always running back to the action even when she’s supposed to be on vacation.

The book definitely touched on heavier themes, like rape and murder, and one of the cases involved Ramsey’s son, which was a wild twist. It got dark, and while I’m fine with heavier topics, I wasn’t expecting some of the explicit details—it caught me off guard. I also noticed the series is leaning more into realism lately, with political and social commentary woven into the story. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely a shift from the earlier, lighter books.

The side plots added even more drama: Jeannie got promoted to Deputy Chief (skipping three pay grades, which ruffled feathers), Stahl’s shady reports came back into play, and there’s tension with the new VP candidate. Plus, Nick’s juggling North Korea threats and his first big speech, all while writing it himself and using an airline pilot metaphor that actually worked.

On the romance side, there’s a lot going on. Elijah and his old girlfriend reconnect and get married out of nowhere, Brooke gets together with Nate (a bit rushed, but okay), and there’s some drama with Cameron and his obsessed ex. Oh, and we end on a cliffhanger—Spencer (Angela’s husband) won’t wake up at Camp David. What a way to finish!

Overall, it’s a good addition to the series. The mix of family, politics, and police work still works for me, but I’m hoping for fresher cases and maybe a little less repetitive drama next time. Looking forward to the next book!

Sam is constantly feeling guilty about not being there for her kids, but like…you’re not there, girl, so why the guilt if you’re not going to change anything? It’s frustrating because, despite everyone hyping her up as a great mom, we don’t see those moments that actually show she’s involved with her kids. Like, where’s the scene of her coming home after a tough case and just spending time with them—reading a book, playing a game, tucking them in? The author doesn’t give us scenes where she comes home, checks in on them, plays with them, or just spends quality time. It’s like we’re supposed to assume she’s this amazing mom just because everyone says so.

The only real time she spent with them in this book was after her hip surgery, and even then, she couldn’t sit still. The second she could move, she went straight back to work. It’s like her job will always be her top priority, no matter what. I get that she’s passionate and loves what she does, but it makes her constant guilt feel kind of hollow. If she’s not going to draw any boundaries, what’s the point of all the “I feel so bad” moments? But I guess that’s just who she is. I think she’s wired to be out solving murders and not sitting at home.

Maybe she is a great mom deep down, but we’re just not seeing enough of those softer, more domestic moments to back it up. It’s something I wish the author would explore more—it would make Sam feel more balanced and relatable. Right now, it just feels like her job overshadows everything, including her family, and it’s hard to buy into the whole “she’s a supermom” narrative when it’s not really shown.

But at the same time, does it always have to be this binary choice between being a mom or being a badass detective? Maybe the issue isn’t that she’s not a great mom, but that the book doesn’t show us those softer, more personal sides of her often enough. Or maybe I’m overthinking it. Women shouldn’t have to drop everything the second they have kids, and Sam is a perfect example of someone refusing to do that. It’s just... I don’t know. It’s complicated.

The biggest night of President Cappuano’s life is here, and he has no idea if his wife, Lt. Samantha Holland will show up for his first State of the Union Address. For Sam, trying to balance being a working mom and first lady is like juggling chainsaws while they are on. With a puzzling case and trying to support her husband Nick as he deals with one thing after another as President, Sam is on edge over everything. But as times get tough, Nick and Sam find themselves drawing on their shared strength as a couple while dealing with issues between family, friends and work. For with these two, when push comes to shove, Nick and Sam turn to one another to fight for their family, their lives and more.

STATE OF THE UNION continues the First Family spin-off of the Fatal Series with an explosive addition as Sam finds herself tugged in so many directions at work and at home, she has figure out her footing before it gets so bad, she is swept away from it all. Nick is dealing with one crisis after another as well as the bubble he has put himself and his family in as the First Family of the United States. With each book in this series, Marie Force delivers an explosive storyline that will keep you glued to the pages till the very end. I couldn’t put this book down and that ending has me on tenterhooks waiting for State of Shock in December to get here. With each book I read from this author, I fall more in love with her world building, her entertaining and complex characters, and the storylines she crafts has me in awe over her talent to create such masterpieces.

STATE OF THE UNION picks up a few months after State of Grace (book 2) and we get to see how Sam, Nick and their family is dealing with being thrust into the world’s spotlight as well as dealing with the fishbowl they are dealt with. Concessions by Sam in regard to her job as Metro PD’s Homicide Lieutenant is trying to do her job as a police officer as well as being the First Lady as well. I love, love, love how this author captures Sam’s issues head on as she balances two jobs, being a working mom, her family and her marriage to Nick. For me, this keeps it real instead of everything being all great and fairytales. The challenges Sam faces are relatable (though not sure about the whole First lady aspect but as a working mom), I love how the author gets how conflicted Sam can be as she deals with another baffling case, the demands on her as First Lady and more. STATE OF THE UNION delivers so much in terms in character development and the fact that it is relatable as working parents with demanding career trying to juggle everything. I got to admit a few times I was as annoyed as Sam as the case she is dealing with delivers no leads time and again. The last half of the book is when all those twists and turns delivers the climatic ending that left me in shock. I won’t spoil it in case you haven’t read this one yet but suffice to say December can not get here fast enough for me to see what happens next.

Marie Force is one of my favorite authors and an auto-buy or me whenever she has a new release and STATE OF THE UNION is a crown jewel in my mind. I love how she keeps the tension woven through the story as well as some light heartedness as well to break it up a little, get the reader to smile and laugh as it turns back to serious issues. Ms. Force has a gift of storytelling on par with Nora Roberts and Patricia Briggs in that they completely capture the readers attention and delivers stories that you can not put down.

STATE OF THE UNION delivers more than two main characters fighting to solve the case and live another day. It’s about balance, love in all its forms, family, and friends and more. In this, Marie Force gives us, the readers, a series that is full of those heartbreaking moments as well as those healing moments that will steal your heart. I can not recommend this author the most because she delivers in STATE OF THE UNION in more ways than one and this time, I am eager to see just what else she has in store for Sam and Nick as they embark on this adventure as First Family.

WARNING - ENTIRE PLOT SUMMARY AHEAD (used by me to keep track of series events)
REALLY - DON'T READ THIS; IT SUMMARIZES BOOK.

some content may be copied from other reviews

So many characters and plotlines. I forgot a lot of them and had to search book #2 for background. Author doesn’t remind us at all of backstories. So I need to put more in this review.

This book centers predominantly around solving a rape and murder spree, the spree has been going on for a while and there seems to be no way to solve it. DNA links killer to a series of rapes in the area. And since he's not in the system, there's nothing to match it with. Sam gets Mayor to sign a one-time exception to allow the familial DNA database to be used. Sam figures out that the killer is Sergeant Ramsey’s son! He is killed when he holds another victim hostage.

it picks up where State of Grace left off; with the first family and their friends celebrating Christmas in the White House until a bomb is found at the gates. Bomber was someone who was opposed to a non-elected president.

Sam is felled by a broken hip.

Jeannie continues to work on a cold case from Lt. Stahl’s days even though they were told to stop doing so while the unit is under scrutiny. The press is making a big deal of how easily another cold case was solved. It was a missing person case easily solved. Kidnap victim was chained to bed in kidnapper’s house along with other kidnapped children. Turns out it was a human trafficking ring with over 200 past victims. Plan to have FBI take credit for bust didn’t work since it was such a huge case.

Stahl created bogus reports that showed he was actually doing investigations. Someone higher up in chain of command archived his false reports. MPD wants to find out who did it.

FBI report. MPD is guilty of some racial bias. But not overly critical of Stahl situation.

Nick has to deal with threats from North Korea and prepare for his first State of the Union address. He writes his own speech, using airline pilot as metaphor for his inexperience. (See quotes from book in sidebar next to review.) He says he won’t campaign for re-election but will run if chosen.

her foe Sergeant Ramsey is back on the job. The union got him back, even though he was fired for vandalizing her office in #2.

glimpses of Camp David. Sam doesn’t like being remote from cases. They went for a few days but Sam returned early due to scrutiny. Nick flew her back to DC on Marine 2, leading to complaints over misuse of taxpayer $. I agreed with that! Then Nick and rest of family returned due to blizzard
.
So of course, Sam goes back to work even though she’s on vacation. She’s an adrenaline junkie.

SNL skit of dry hump.

A very little time devoted to Senate confirmation of Gretchen Henderson as VP. Sam trying to get over her dislike; she disapproves of Senate picking on GH over her failed marriage.

Jeannie becomes new Deputy Chief, skipping 3 pay grades. Mayor had tried to get Sam to take this job. Many at MPD unhappy.

Elijah’s former GF, whose parents got him busted for statutory rape, contacts E on her 18th birthday. Even though it has been 3 years since that happened, and they were teens, and never dated anyone else, they still love each other. (A little much.) Candace flies out to meet him and they get married a few days later. Nick worries that he’ll want twins back since he’ll have a wife’s help.

Cameron Green’s obsessed exGF throws brick in window while he was with Gigi.

Rediscovered from a review that niece Brooke was the survivor of gang rape. She’s 20, gets together with one of Elijah’s SS detail, Nate, 27. So relationship is mostly distant. They do get together and have sex.

End in cliffhanger – While at Camp David, Angela (Sam’s sister?) rushes in to say “Spencer (her husband) won’t wake up.”

When we left Sam and Nick, they were just told of a bomb outside the gates of the White House. As a precaution, Nick, Sam, Scotty, Eli, Alden and Aubrey are brought down to the bomb shelter. A strange feeling for them since they had a house full of guests sleeping over. Once the threat is done, they return upstairs, all preparations for Christmas Morning are in place and hopefully they'll get some sleep before the fun and chaos begins.

Christmas morning was everything they hoped it would be, and after everyone had departed for their own homes, Scotty and Eli take over with the twins so Nick and Sam could have some alone time. I do so like their alone time.

Before they even get started, Jeannie calls to let Sam know she was going to Richmond in the morning with Matt following a lead on the case they're not supposed to be looking at anymore. She will let Sam know if they need her to let the brass know before calling in the marshals. Then Nick gets called to the situation room, some things are just not meant to happen when they want them to.

The next day they are off to Camp David. I truly enjoyed reading about the history of it and the descriptions of the cabin where they would be staying. While the kids went off to do their thing at the game room, Nick and Sam take a walk, and he tells her about the SNL skit that would air that night. Then Sam gets a call from Jeannie wanting to call in the marshals. Sam has a bit of an uncomfortable call with Chief Farnsworth but gets the go ahead.

I laughed so hard at the description of the SNL skit, that even included Terry. The reactions of all their friends didn't help with my own giggles.

Their respite at Camp David is interrupted the next morning as they watched the CNN coverage of the Marshals investigation of Jeannie's case. Captain Malone calls and orders Sam back in. Nick takes her in Marine One to face the music along with Jeannie. In spite of the insubordination of ignoring a direct order, the fact remains that the investigation found the missing woman and saved nine children. On top of that there is a connection to more that makes this far more important all around. Gonzo also finds evidence of fake reports that the brass was seeing and not what they saw in the files they pulled.

With time on her hands before returning to Camp David, Sam accompanies Freddie to a new crime scene. On the way there she finds out that Nick and the children were returning home due to blizzard warnings, so she works it as she normally would, turning things over to the next shift. On the way to her car, she slips on ice falling hard on her hip and elbow. In spite of the pain, she drives Freddie to the Metro and drives home. Icing her injuries and letting Nick pamper her a bit. The next day has Nick insisting on a hospital visit and a good thing too. Dr. Anderson once again takes care of her and she's not happy at all with the x-ray results.

We follow Sam through her recovery and working from both the hospital and home. There's much frustration over the current case that expands with more of the same with matching DNA not in the system. The cold case Jeannie solved also becomes a bigger deal than they ever could have imagined.

Sam in the meantime keeps tabs on the investigation of the murders in the park and even with alerts out more happen. When they finally get a real thread to pull, she's all over it although at a distance due to her recovery.

We also see more of Gigi and Cameron in this book. I love them together.

As always there is a lot going on and all of it is important. I love how Nick and Sam are adjusting to their new roles as President and First Lady and the way they don't let that interfere with time with their kids. Then of course we get a heart-stopping cliffhanger ending. I'm so glad the next book is already out.

I used both Kindle and Audible to read the latest book in this enjoyable series by Marie Force. The first several books are all in the "Fatal..." series, i.e. all book titles begin with the word "Fatal." Three books ago, the titles changed to start with the words "State of..." Should you decide to follow this series, I strongly recommend enjoying the books in order, beginning with the Fatal books.

President Nick Cappuano is preparing for his first State of the Union address, and at the same time First Lady and Metro PD Homicide Lieutenant Sam(antha) Holland Cappuano and her team are trying to find a serial rapist/murderer in the DC area.
I enjoy following this series, which contains a regular cast of characters whose characters evolve in each subsequent book. The story lines are "formula" and include family ups and downs, life and death, romance and sex, a homicide or two, and a bit of DC politics. Marie Force is a fast writer and although this book was just released in September, the next book is due to be released in December. These are not the grittiest of stories and are penned for a mainstream audience. If you are a fan of Dervla McTiernan, Michael Scanlon, or Harlan Coben, I would say that this series is a lighter fare and you don't have to think as hard.
But, to be clear, I enjoy the lighter book every once in awhile! I especially like that one of my BFFs, Juliane, is a beta reader for this series and I picked it up after she recommended it.

Regarding narration, I like Eva Kaminsky, with one exception. She uses "upspeak" frequently. (The ending of a statement spoken as a question.) Other than that, her diction is clear and her character voices are consistent.

Whispersync was very unpredictable between my devices.
