Rate this book
Detective Colt Jessup seeks solace and a break from police work on a Caribbean Island while on administrative leave, following a police-involved shooting. However, a criminal wants revenge and Jessup isn’t sure if he is the target or someone else. Jessup’s snorkeling adventure turns dangerous when he takes on gunfire in the water. He isn’t sure if the bullets are meant for him or his friend Jax. Or could the target be the mysterious woman who swims alongside him? Peyton Campbell shows up on the boat for a prepaid outing, part of a package deal for her honeymoon. She claims to be a newlywed, but she shows up without a husband and refuses to explain his absence. Colt believes she is harboring a dangerous secret. Jax ignores Colt’s warnings against becoming involved with her and quickly becomes a willing captive ensnared by her beauty and charm. After another attempt on their lives, Colt joins forces with the local police to find the person responsible. Before they can unravel the mystery, someone is murdered on a sailboat. Was the killing deliberate or intended for one of them? Colt and the police must find the killer before another person ends up dead. RELENTLESS is Book Two of the Colt Jessup series. It can be read as a stand-alone.

I loved it! I really enjoyed getting to know Colt Jessup in the first book in this series and this book was just as great! So much happens when Colt has to take a forced " vacation" . He goes to visit his friend Jax in the Virgin Islands to have some time to relax, and get a tan as he goes fishing with his buddy. Going fishing sure doesn't turn out like Colt hopes. Jax must take newlyweds on a snorkelling cruise before they can go fishing as this is how Jax makes his living. The action and suspense is non-stop! Throw in some romance and you have the perfect opportunity for a great book and Ms. Wilson brings it on! Really great story and the way it ends has me impatient to read about what Colt gets up to next.
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. This review is my own honest opinion of a book I thoroughly recommend!

I did not read book 1 of this series. I was not too lost, so this can be read as a stand alone, though you may understand more of the relationships if you've read book 1 of the series.

Colt shoots someone in the line of duty and while on his administrative leave pending the ruling about the shooting, heads to a tropical destination to fish with an old friend. Instead, they get drawn into an Island intrigue where we're not sure if the bad guys are after Colt, Jax, or the girl who's Jax's client.

This is my 2nd book by this author. I really like the manner in which she writes. Colt is vacationing in the Caribbean with his friend Jax. They are helping a woman who Jax has become attached to survive a revenge killing. Colt has his own problems back home but he's determined to help this woman too. I liked the story (somewhat predictable). It was an enjoyable read.
