Raising twins by myself wasn’t the life I pictured, but the three of us have done pretty well together. They’re in their senior year of high school now, and I’m thinking maybe I can finally get back into the dating pool.
Given that my late-husband was my high school sweetheart—my one and only—and it’s been more than twenty years, I have no idea where to start. Do I swipe right, speed date, or maybe just stand on a corner and shout forty and single, please date me?
When an associate offers a trade—my business knowledge in exchange for his hook-up expertise—I jump on the agreement far faster than I should.
But I draw the line at taking the coaching into the bedroom, especially if his best friend is joining us. This cougar knows better than to ogle the cubs nearly a decade younger than me.
Thanks for stopping by! I am not currently accepting any friend requests.
Allyson Lindt has been telling stories since before she could put the words on paper. She was lucky enough to marry her muse and soul mate. Their cats are their children, and when they’re not spending way too much time gaming, they’re building new worlds together. She loves a sexy happily-ever-after and helping deserving couples find their futures together.
This starts with a challenge (or two) to find a solution to, a bet, and a mystery. I'm thrumming with excitement and I haven't even gotten to the good stuff. 💘
Brooke’s enthusiasm was palpable.
And alluring. What would it take to make her this kind of excited more often? -- Deacon
Deacon, Brooke, and Adam's story is captivating, entertaining, and occasionally emotional. I simply love it. ❤🔥🎉
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Great story about a woman, Brooke, and two guys, Deacon and Adam. They all live in a small town. Deacon owns an antique shop and Adam is currently living with him after losing his home in a fire. The two are also on and off lovers. Brooke is a widowed mother of twins who moved to town years ago when she lost her husband. Now, the twins are in their senior year of high school and she is ready to find love again. Sorta. Maybe. She has known Deacon for a long time and really likes him, but he is a little younger then she is and she didn't think he wants a real relationship. She also thinks Adam is hot, but she doesn't really know him.
Deacon loves working at his antique shop. It had been in his family for years and he is afraid he is going to lose it over new requirements for shops on his block. He can't afford the upgrades he would need to make to bring the exterior up to the new guidelines. When Brooke questions him about the building having a basement, he assures her it doesn't but she bets him she is right. After some time spent searching for a possible entrance, the three actually find it and what a surprise it is when they see what it holds! I am not going to spoil the story by telling you, but it could bring in enough money to save the store - if they can pull off some minor renovations to the space to make it more accessible.
Much more to the story, of course, including some sexual explorations for Brooke, some family drama, and some small-town gossip rearing its ugly head. There is also plenty of fireworks between Brooke, Deacon, and Adam - not all of them good. Will they be able to work it all out?
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
I really enjoyed this OWYM, friends-to-lovers romance – so flirty, so sexy and so very steamy!
Brooke was such a delightful character – creative, intelligent, loyal to friends & family and dedicated to her children. I particularly liked how (after years of putting her kids first) she realized at the tender age of 40 that perhaps she was missing out on life – and more specifically, sex. Deacon and Adam (both eight years younger) were more than agreeable to tutor her in the current dating scene and beyond happy to introduce a bit of kink into her sex life through spanking and bondage. Now, if only all three would agree they should become more than merely friends-with-benefits, life would be perfect – in spite of the local town gossips.
The story is well written and the characters while fun, interesting, and likeable are not without past baggage and some ongoing drama. There’s plenty of humour, some angst and several explicit sexual encounters including MF, MM and MMF scenes.

I always like this author’s books, but this is my favorite series that she writes. The first book, The Roommates, is 10 stars (as a matter of fact, my review of that book says “I would give it 10 stars if I could”), so I was worried that this one couldn’t measure up BUT IT DID! This story of Brooke, Deacon (both introduced in The Roommates) and Adam (Brandon from The Roommates little brother) was fantastic. It has all the feels, plus lots of steam. It also has Adam, who is the most adorable book boyfriend – he goes from sexy nerd Clark Kent in life to Superman in the bedroom. He is one great character, and I didn’t want this story to end. Brooke was also a sweet character, and I loved her twins and their interactions with her and the guys. All I can say is I can’t wait for Carly’s story! I definitely recommend this book and the series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily, but I also preordered this book
A Friend In Need, Is A Benefit - Brooke’s request for help may have been innocent, but Deacon and Adam found themselves in a position that neither one of them expected. Unfortunately, things get chaotic and this makes them question what is going on. It would take Brooke’s children to help them realise the importance of living life on their own terms. The emotional roller-coaster the characters go through will have you hooked on the story, but also root for them to get their happily ever after.
This is a beautifully written tale about friendship, working together for the greater good and risking it all for love. I really enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading ‘The Layover’. All I can say now is for Allyson Lindt to keep up her great work, as she definitely has a devoted fan base supporting her.

I love that my favorite ménage author is getting into an older demographic, well thirties and forties is relatively older. But the storytelling, the way you’re brought into the lives of these characters makes you think they’re your friends or you could be one of them. Brooke is an exception to today’s sexual experience. Marrying her high school sweetheart she hasn’t know another lover, much less two. Deacon has known Brooke for years and they are close friends, could it be more? Adam has admired Brooke for a while but considered her off limits, maybe not. Misconceptions, baggage, and a light side plot add angst and so many feels making this a page turner and a sweet sexy read.
For me, this book was all about getting another chance to find love. I also found some pretty powerful messages about being responsible for your own happiness and not living your life to satisfy anyone else but yourself. For his ability to embrace those concepts, I adored Adam. I wanted to cuddle him tight when the others were resisting their connection. Brooke and Deacon kind of broke my heart with all the emotional baggage they were still clinging to. They had my sympathy, but I still wanted to smack some sense into them at the same time. The ending of this book left me with a sweet happy sigh and a strong reluctance to let go of these characters. I can’t wait to see what the author brings us next. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
The Agreement is the 2nd book in the Three Players Grind series featuring a widow ready to start dating again, her friend Deacon who's ready to give her bedroom lessons and his best friend Adam, who is attracted to both but hesitant to do anything about it. Throw in Brooke's almost-adult twins, a thwarted suitor turned ugly nemesis and you have a great entertaining read with plenty of steam, some suspense and lots of heartwarming moments. I received a free copy by the author and am voluntarily and honestly leaving this review.
This is a story of discovery, friendship, love - The story picks up after the last one and Deacon, Adam and Brooke. She is the mother of twin and ready to start dating again. Her friend Deacon and his on and off lover Adam will guide her on how to find love in exchange for her business acumen. Soon they will find themselves enthralled with each other with a mixture of small town gossip and a bit of drama. It is an interesting story that makes you anxious to read what's next. I volunteered to review this story.
In this story, Brooke reaches out to Adam and Deacon with help getting ‘back in the saddle’, with very very steamy results. I loved the ‘cool kids’ community the shop owners on Main Street formed - lots of fun to read. The later-in-life-but-still-super-spicy relationship that develops between Brooke, Adam and Deacon was also a delight to read. Another fantastic ménage book by Allyson Lindt.
The Agreement By Allyson Lindt Main Characters: Brooke, Adam, and Deacon I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 5 out of 5 stars I have reviewed about 13 of Allyson's books and I enjoyed this one the most. I loved all the characters in this story and probably the reason for me liking this book the best was because I have never been into games and this book didn't have a major portion about games. Keep up the good stories Allyson!
Adam, Brooke and Deacon had me all caught up in this steamy romance. Now that her twins were almost on their own, Brooke finally had time for herself. Adam and Deacon are on and off lovers that agree to give Brooke pointers to finding love for her expertise in business. This story has some interesting twists and turns that keeps you glued to the story! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
A forty year old widow with two nerdy hot younger cubs. Just say yes. Brooke, a conservative by nature goes against her nature after making an agreement to help Adam and Deacon save their antique shop. Hot nerds getting steamy with Brooks? Even better is that they all have growth and plenty of exploration to do and a shop to save. Recommend.
So glad there are well written books like this one that shows a sexy, older woman like Brooke who is able to hold her own with not one but two sexy younger men like Deacon and Adam. Their relationship has it's ups and down but I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Deacon. Adam and Brooke were a great team working on Deacon's antique store discovery but I feel the heat and passion was fast but slow all at the same time. The story seemed to drag at times. Parts also fealt disjointed but I still liked them and want more of the Main street entrepreneurs stories!
This book was ok. I didn’t feel like the relationships really had the space to develop and I wasn’t that invested in them. Also, her kids seemed really mature for their age. I felt like I had missed a book with more of their backstory. Like Adam’s studio that his ex partner burned down? Huh? That was just mentioned like we were supposed to know the story there.
Another AMAZING Love Story!!! I love the way the author writes a truly heartwarming and steamy romance between three people. It is so much more than just a three way hook-up. The development of feelings and interactions between them is so realistic and believable.
The second book in the Three Player Grind series. Brooke, Adam and Deacon and her two adult twins Paige and Bryan's story is well written and held my interest. I enjoyed seeing this age gap story get a HEA. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
There were some interesting points and situations but there was not enough depth to the characters for me...maybe I'm wrong but the other books by this author were better and made me feel for the characters more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 Ok I kind of really extremely enjoyed this book. It’s super fun as long as you know what you’re getting into. Smutty but not overly so. Like there is actual plot and the 3rd act breakup made sense. Awwwwww I kind of got some feels at the end there!
I just couldn’t get into the storyline enough to actually finish the book. I got half way through and I was bored. I had a hard time connecting to the characters.
More like 2.5. Blah character description didn’t match character action. Had potential. Her wanting to rejoin dating life after being widower for years. Has teenage twins. Has feelings for 2 younger, “coworkers” but never really got an age. One crushes on her but won’t make move other goes for it.
