Creed Tempest is content with the solitary life he’s chosen. The only people he needs around are his siblings. He’s got a handful of friends that are important to him, but there’s no special someone to warm his bed. Oddly enough, he’s fine with that. There’s less drama that way, he tells himself.
When a beautiful woman and her children move in next door, Creed’s life is turned upside down. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect her and make her his own. He’s all in on a life with children that he never knew he wanted.
Sabine loves her children, and is thankful for the strong friendship she has with her ex-husband. With two kids to raise, she doesn’t have time to date and deal with all that might entail. When doing the right thing puts her and her family in danger, she’ll have to trust her handsome neighbor to keep them safe while learning to let go and giving him a chance to steal her heart.
Creed Tempest never planned on having children, his past still haunts him with the cult he was raised in and he has enough siblings that he figures he will spend tie with their kids when they have them. When he meets Sabine, his new next door neighbor he is immediately infatuated with her. Initially he thinks she is married with two children, but when he realizes that she is single and the attraction he feels is mutual he finds himself wanting more with her. Sabine however has trouble at her heels and when Creed finds out he vows to keep her and her family safe.
I loved this one, the whole Tempest family fascinates me. I loved Creed, he is the more broodier of the bunch so far. Sabine is wonderful and I loved her whole family dynamic. Another amazing story in this series.
4.4 stars. Now this is the type of book I’ve come to expect from this author. First off, I love the way she writes her characters. Love them.
This book had humor. It had stress. It had two kids who were total opposites, but added something real and funny to everything going on. It had steamy sex scenes that were really hot, and happened a good amount of times.
I just really loved this book. The relationship was fun and believable. The problem that they had to deal with was something that added to the story, and was resolved in a realistic way. All the problems I had with Wrath, were solved with this book.
I loved it. I love how Cee writes her characters. I will definitely be reading Loki’s book, and hoping the series just continues to get better and better.
Creed and Sabine, great story, it happened really quickly but that's ok. They are great together. Loved the kids. Amalia is hilarious and would fit right in with the Forrester kids and all their friends. Love the invention Creed came up with to contain Amalia - genius idea!!!!
I feel Creed is the brother that we haven't learned much about so far, so I was intrigued by this book being about him. I found him to be very likeable, I really liked how he dealt with his own behavior after pounding on the wall after the baby was crying. It showed what a good guy he was. I was glad that Sabine was just as smitten with Creed as he was with her. Things were easy for them, a good thing. Creed was good with the kids, good with her ex. Everything was good.
I hated how the drama from Sabine's life invaded. The one good thing that came out of it was making this blended family closer, a great thing. You could see by reading the epilogues how easy their family life was because the adults were all friends and took caring for the kids on as a team.
Anytime I need an escape from reality, I know I can pick up any Cee book and get just that! I loved Creed and Sabine, the icing on the cake was the kids and her ex. I adored this story and the love between them all.
This is the second in a series of standalone novels about members of the same family. It’s a spin-off series from the Texas Kings MC by the same author. Though none of the previous books are necessary to enjoy this one, reading them will enhance your enjoyment because of understanding the characters and their history.
Creed is a quiet loner, who is quite happy with his own and his family’s company. He works hard running is Private Investigation firm and lives in the apartment complex he and his siblings own and live in. Creed’s traumatic childhood has left him with nightmares and flashbacks, but he is starting to face his past because of his brother’s involvement with a psychologist who is trying to help the family.
Sabine is a single parent of two children. One is Jordan, an 11-year-old who is highly intelligent and acts like he’s 40, the other is Amalia, a 2-year-old hyperactive terror who is adorable but never sleeps. She divorced her high school sweetheart 6 years ago, but both children are his. They’ve managed to stay really good friends and co-parent brilliantly. When Sabine moves into the apartment next door to Creed they are attracted to each other instantly and Amalia actually calms down around him.
Their story is fairly straight forward on the relationship front, however, Sabine has a security issue that Creed can help with, which is what causes most of the conflict and drama in the book.
I really love these characters. Creed is quiet, sexy and funny in an understated way. I love the way he mumbles throw away comments that make me laugh, that other people don’t hear. He’s incredibly loving with the children and jumps into the relationship with both feet. He’s sweet and supportive and kind. Sabine is funny, lively and intelligent. She’s accepting and open and adores her kids. Her relationship with her ex is exceptional and I love that aspect of this book, that they both parent together so seamlessly. It’s so rare in romantic fiction that the ex is a good person who doesn’t cause any trauma and co-parent really well. It’s what you want in real life so why don’t we get in romantic fiction which is all about the HEA?
I really enjoyed this book, probably because I knew all the backstory about the family and didn’t need to go into Creed’s trauma too deeply. It was discussed and there was a definite impact on his life and personality, but he was dealing with when he met Sabine.
This was a feel good book, that made me smile and fan my face a couple of times. It was a perfect example of what Cee Bowerman does best.
Creed is a quiet loner, who is happy with his own and his family’s company. He runs a Private Investigation firm and lives in the apartment complex he and his siblings own. Sabine is a single parent of two children. Jordan, an 11-year-old who is highly intelligent and the other is Amalia, a 2-year-old hyperactive terror who is cute but hardly ever sleeps. She divorced her high school sweetheart 6 years ago, but has remained on good terms with him ever since.
Our 2 main characters meet when she moves next door to him...there is an almost instant attraction between the 2 but Sabine doesn't have time to date. When she does the right thing it puts her and her family in danger. Alongside Creed and his team, who have had experiences dealing with danger she has to place her trust in him and his friends, while learning more about him, his family and friends.
This is a great read, with lots of humour, a quiet and trustworthy hero, who loves children. Sabine is funny, loves her kids honest and the only aggro comes from the danger that she has inadvertantly placed her family in. An excellent 5 star read.
This is an intriguing family that I can't wait to read more about. After living through unimaginable horrors as children/young adults, it's amazing how well they're all thriving in their current lives. Add in the crazy that's added due to the partners that they fall for, and things are certainly going to be interesting! I can't wait for more! It's not necessary to read any of the other series by this author, but I would highly recommend it. There is a little bit of character crossover between this series and the others. By reading the other series, Texas Knights MC, Texas Kings MC, Connor Brothers, and Rojo, Texas, it'll give you a little bit more information about the connections, characters mentioned &/or involved with this one, and the dynamics between them. All of the stories are absolutely fantastic, and they'll have you craving more. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Creed and Sabines story is a unique one, with hilarious parenting moments that most of us can relate to. Steamy scenes that leave you breathless.
Creed has been tormented by his past and is unable to sleep since his therapy with Val reopened Pandora's box.
Sabine lives a complicated life thanks to a a threat she didn't know was after her until it was too late, add the fact she has an "unconventional" relationship with her ex, a relationship every child wishes their parents had, and that drives a wedge in most her relationships. That is until she moves next door to Mr Viking who has her feral child sitting in awe.
Their chemistry moves fast and they both find themselves falling hard for one another.
Another fantastic story. Creed and his family went through a lot of hell when they were young instigated by their sick and depraved father, but they are learning to try and live good lives and hopefully find the one person to share a loving life with. Sabine and her ex husband Jackson have a very unique, but wonderful relationship with each other and in sharing to raise their two children. Jordan their eleven year old son is more studious than most boys his age, but he's always there for his baby sister Amalia. Apparently Amalia can be quite the escape artist at only two years old, so Sabine had to get creative with alarms to let her know when Amalia escaped her crib. This precious girl is a hand full and then some. Happy reading.
This is a ok story. But I felt like in the beginning Sabine was a person I should have know from a previous book. An I missing a book :( ?. Also since I didn't know her please specify race in the beginning of the book because it was about 21% into the book when I found out. I get mental pictures in my head of the characters in every book then I'm like wtf. Then I have to try and do another picture in my head of that character and it kind of ruins it for me for a while. I don't care of the race or if they are men or women. I just need correct mental picture in my head.
I liked the characters in this book and how everyone gets along. It a nice change for a divorce couple.
When your life starts off as hellish, you have two choices. Keep that pace or change your path. We learned all about Creed's beginnings from reading Fain and Wraith.
Creed and Sabine meet, after she moves into the apartment complex his family owns. They become nextdoor neighbors and after a noisy wake up, they take a few moments to talk. They both feel a deep connection, surprising them both. Even her two kids like him. Sabine had hoped her move was a good way to detour the evilness stalking her. Add in love, stars, gun shots, and a you get a dang good book.
This is creed and sabine story this is a great example of co parenting and introduction of 2 great step parents
Creed falls madly in love with the new neighbour but is great bad boy fashion needs to help protect his new love which leads to danger passion love and of course like any great book some funny times and a toddler to make us think the next generation of knights king tempest and rojo kids will bring us some great reads
I recommend that you read this book and all of cee bowerman books I have have read and reread them and in no doubt will read them again
Creed is the second book of The Tempests and follows Creed as he falls for his new neighbour, Sabine, and has to help protect her and her family from a threat against their lives.
This book was an enjoyable read. I really liked the characters and I really liked that Sabine and her ex-husband got along well and put the kids first. I also liked how they all fit together as a family. The story was good and I found myself becoming more and more invested in the outcome as it progressed.
Overall, this was a good book, with loveable characters and a good story. I would recommend giving it a read.
I finished Creed and immediately returned to the beginning and read it again. I didn't feel I missed anything. I just wasn't ready to finish the story. With every new book I think I have found my favorite but I realized they are all my favorites. I have been fascinated with the Tempest family since Fain told his story and with each new book I am drawn even more into the tangled tale of the family. I can hardly wait for the next Tempest. Creed is so very special, though. Thank you for weaving these wonderful tales to entertain people like me.
I've read all of Bowerman's books and have never been disappointed. Creed meets Sabine and feels an immediate connection. The connection isn't just physical attraction, it's a feeling of peace. Creed has never felt peace in his life especially living in a cult as a child. Sabine has two kids and they are polar opposites (no spoilers). I enjoy how this books shows surviving and learning to live freely. I like how it shows accepting others flaws and all.
Creed is a pretty awesome guy. I liked the way he took ownership for figuring out how to work through the demons from his past, as well as just accepting some of his resulting quirks. Sabine was really strong, and her kids were so much fun. They have to figure out how to progress from two individuals to a team. Lots of laughs and fun dialog sprinkled throughout the book.
Book 2 of them Tempests - i like the juxtaposition of opposites - looking haired son of a cult serial killer and the second chance previously married to the maids son daughter of pretentious over achievers who will never give acceptance tho their daughter. I liked their easy relationship with each other and their total acceptance of each others differences and quirks. I'm totally already wishing the next book was ready.
I absolutely love love love the Tempest family! To get more insight into what each Tempest went through as a child and to see them overcome the obstacles of their past to the successful family they are now is so inspiring. I just enjoyed that Sabine and Jackson were able to co-parent together and be there for their children. Amalia would absolutely fit in with the whole Rojo crew. Lol
Every month, I get excited about a new book and now with the combination series with her and Ciara I am just loving it. The Tempest family intrigues me so much and this book did not disappoint! Creed and Sabine have so much chemistry and the story was great. I had a wild lil boy and Amalia reminded me of that time. Love the addition of her ex husband as well. Ready to read the rest of their stories too!!
Creed is book 2 in The Tempest Series written by the talented author Cee Bowerman. Buckle up my friends, you will fell in love with Creed + Sabine and her two kids, Jordan and Amalia !! This was an amazing and funny story. I’m not going to write a review full if spoilers because you need to read this book with no preconceived ideas with no expectations and enjoy every emotion. I can't wait for more, LOVED The Tempest brothers and sisters!!! Definitely five-star reading!!
Okay . I never read a book unless it is really good or really bad. This was really lolly gooooood. I usually don't enjoy a couple book without drama. Don't ask. But enjoyed this book. There wasn't any toxicity within the relationship, and I didn't get bored. I cried, I laughed, and I got angry. If that isn't 5* worthy I don't know what is. Read this book!!!!!!!!!!
I thought the plot line for this one was different in a good way. Insurance fraud is not usually something you see in these types of stories. You don't usually see such closeness between divorced adults either, but it was good for the kids for sure. I'm also thankful I didn't have an Amalia, she would have worn me out! Thanks for a fun story. I might have to go back and find Fain's story at some point.
Could glow and fan girl about This book, and how great everything is, because it really is a great read, but instead I’ll explain why it touched me deeply. Cee Bowerman knows family, she brings it out loud and proud in her books, family that’s not just blood, but heart and soul, family that is not just kids you birthed but all kids, in every book she writes she shows us how blood isn’t everything but a bond is a bond and it takes a village to raise a child.
I loved this story. Creed is a quiet loner still grappling with the trauma of his childhood. Sabine is an amazing woman who enters his life and brings him balance and excitement. I loved their relationship and their extended family relationships. This book is very low on drama and angst. There was virtually no conflict between the main characters and it was simply a beautiful story of building a family.
Creed is Wrath' brother. Creed is a private investigator. Sabin writes insurance policies. She found a connection between policies from a crooked bigwig. Now she's a target. Jackson is her ex husband and a cop. Sabine moves next door to Creed. Can Creed and Jackson keep Sabine and her children safe? Loads of intrigue. Love the humor. From a Fan... Pam James.
Another great story worthy of your time and reading hours. This on has some drama, a romance, an HEA and delightful epilogues. No cliffhanger, no cheating. I loved the zany Amalie and studious thinker that was the son. Highly recommend this book, the series, and any book by this author.
