Loved the premise, hated the execution
It didn’t make sense, one minute Aubrey was saying she was one way but then a minute later she was saying she was the complete opposite. The writing throughout wasn’t cohesive.
The pop culture references were distracting.
Aubrey wasn’t submissive or bratty - she was just acting like a spoiled insolent teenager. The girl has a Master’s and she whines when she doesn’t get her way. Makes no sense to me.
The fire and ice theme got old real fast. I don’t like when everything is shoved down my throat, and repeated a ridiculous amount of times. Assume your readers are smart - less is more.
Personal preference - I hate politics in books and had I known.. I wouldn’t have read this, no matter how central it was to the story.
As far as BDSM goes.. it wasn’t sexy to me at all. Including the sex scenes. Again with the repetitive “Master” every other sentence.. it took me out of the scene and it just wasn’t enjoyable to read.
I kept wanting to DNF, but the story was engaging enough for me to stick it through, even though I skimmed a lot of it.

In Beautiful Submission readers get to spend time with Aubrey Knight and Xavier Payne.
Aubrey is an only child; her father is a long time Congressman and her mother the perfect wife. Aubrey however is not the perfect child, well in the eyes of her parents she isn’t. Her childhood, in fact much of her life has been spent “towing the line” ~ “be the perfect daughter,” “watch what you eat,” “make sure you are polite,” and on it went. The only way Aubrey could handle it was by rebelling. We learn she has no real friends, no confidantes, no one she could count on.
What she doesn’t know is there will be someone who is going to protect her, if she will let down her walls.
Xavier Payne uses control to keep his life and world in order. He is also a BDSM submissive trainer, he uses control ~ which allows for true submission when in a scene.
He formed an opinion about Aubrey, it was one incident he witnessed that changed his mind, he would help her and do his best to fix her. Payne’s childhood sent him on a different kind of journey in life. It was the tight control he kept on his feelings, his business practices that people saw, however, he had a side that very few people knew about.
As you get into the story each character has moments of truth and they eventually share those moments with each other. Although it doesn’t seem like
Xavier is an emotional man, when he lowers his walls we see a totally different man and we learn they are far more alike than they think.
Seeing each character relive events, watching them share their truths is eye opening and reading the ending may not be what you expected but it certainly is what gives us the Beautiful part of this story. Ivy Wild, you have done it again, taken me on a journey that is a beautiful romance.

Holy crap I was addicted to this book.
Aubrey was fire and Xavier was ice.
Aubrey is the congressmen's daughter. She had to the perfect all the time. Her father expected her cooperation and support without fuss. So, being the dutiful daughter she was, she agreed to the exchange between her father and Mr. Payne.
Mr. Payne (Xavier) was willing to loan 1 million dollars and offer his support to Bob Knight (Aubrey's father) with his failing campaign IF Aubrey agreed to move into one of his estates until he said that the payment had been satisfied. She acted as collateral to their deal. If she didn't agree, the deal was off.
Once they got to Xavier's vineyard estate Aubrey did everything she could to push his buttons. But Xavier held a mask voided of emotion and built a wall around his heart. He mastered his reactions and never let them show. Except as time went on he started to like Aubrey's fire. He wanted to push her twice as hard as she was (trying) to push him.
⭐️10/10 recommend - Aubrey and Xavier were made for each other.

I loved this story, I devoured it in one sitting, Beautiful Submission is an enemies to lovers romance that will keep you hooked from start to finish, even though it's BDSM I feel like it's different from everything I've read before, just UNPUTDOWNABLE.
Aubrey and Xavier take you on an intriguing, sexy, and so addicting journey. Aubrey is the daughter of a senator, a spoiled girl who only knows what a fake world is, Xavier is a mysterious protagonist who likes control. Xavier makes a deal with the senator and somehow involves Aubrey. Although they are polar opposites, they are perfect for each other, as the plot unfolds, we see their walls fall, and we see how the attraction between them transforms into a deeper and more meaningful relationship, and I loved that we understand a little more about Xavier and his motivations.
This is a slow burn romance so amazing, the pull and push is everything, it is sexy, interesting, the electrifying chemistry is off the charts and will leave you craving for more, definitely highly recommended.

Ivy Wild's books captured my heart from the very beginning, and Beautiful Submission is another perfect addition to this! A true BDSM-themed story that does 100% justice to the lifestyle, with enemies-to-lovers at it's core. It is captivating and sexy in the characteristic Wild-way that i have come to crave and look for in all her books.
Aubrey is everything i hate at first (if you already met her in Infamous); a spoiled brat that cannot take "No" for an answer and throws a tantrum when she doesn't get her way. In Beautiful Submission, Aubrey's mask is peeled away and we get to see what lies underneath... an unloved, deeply hurt woman that is thirsty for love, acceptance, and belonging.
Enters Xavier Payne; a seemingly cruel, unemotional, cold man. Xavier consciously does not fall for her spoiled ways, and in doing so, the two of them rediscover their true selves and find passion, lust and love in each other!
I have no words to explain what a trip it was reading Beautiful Submission. It provoked anger way too many times; it provoked too much sadness at certain points; some laughable moments; it got me so hot and flustered that by the end of the book i wanted more, more, more of those moments! Simply put, the book gave me everything i want; a dirty fairytale with lots of spice to leave me thirsty for days!
Did i always agree with Xavier for a large chunk of the book? Definitely no, but knowing how hard the author worked to do the character and the BDSM-lifestyle justice, i understand that my disagreement with him stems from my lack of deep knowledge about BDSM.
Did i want more sexy scenes? Absolutely yes, i don't think i will ever get tired of reading sex scenes from Ivy Wild; she really knows how to make you feel beautifully uncomfortable. I love how her characters really give in to their raw, animalistic insticts, and become beasts from too much desire.
Did i see the plot twists coming? Heck no, two plot twists really had me with an open jaw. So, don't try to "predict" anything, and enjoy the beautiful ride!

December 6, 2021I am still at a loss for words after finally reading Xavier’s story. These past few years of waiting was definitely worth every piece of anticipation I had building. From the moment I was first introduced to Payne, I fell head over heels in love with his dominance and need for control. This story wasn’t even about the chemistry for me but more about his backstory, which completely broke my heart.
“𝕀𝕥’𝕤 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕪 𝕣𝕦𝕕𝕖 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕖𝕪𝕖 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕪’𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦.”
These words spoken by Payne perfectly depicted Aubrey’s character, from my first encounter until now. She’s spoiled, bratty, stubborn, hardheaded and defiant. But, she’s also weak and timid underneath her outer shell. Having never been given the opportunity to shine, she was forced to become someone else, who her parents wanted her to become. Always forced to bite her tongue to represent her father and appear to be the perfect congressman’s daughter.

Oh my heart is full!! Xavier Payne’s personality has fascinated me right from the beginning, confident and alluring with his standoffish demeanor. His meticulous organizational skills just solidified my unhealthy attraction to his character. He’s callous, cold and always watching every move of those around him. His attention to every detail is such a desirable attribute, his strength and precision was seductive, and his dominant character was so enticing!

Once you get to see inside his mind, find he’s just as broken, you begin to understand why he becomes the strong leader he is. Ivy exceeded my expectations for this story, even though sharing with Aubrey is over 😏

I read the whole book in a day because I couldn’t even put it down. This was how good and amazing was. Aubrey and Xavier served enemies to lovers and the boy obsessed trope and bdsm as well but with a difference of what we are used to read and this was so freaking good and the way the author wrote it was just amazing.
Aubrey is the type of character we love right away. She lives in this world where she can’t be herself and we feel like we have to protect her right away.
Xavier is so mysterious and only half of the book we got to understand him and why he acts the way he does which makes us like him even more.
Like he always say him and Aubrey are cold and ice and perfect for each other. Meant to be since the first moment they met and got to look into each other’s eyes.
This book was simple so good and there’s bdsm trope as well but it’s nothing of what you expect. It’s something different and meaningful and that made that the characters got a even deeper connection as well. Their chemistry was insane and the smut in the book was overall so freaking amazing.
I advice every single one of you to read it and fall in love with the characters too!

Beautiful Surrender took me by surprise and shook me to my core with its intensity. I was expecting a light read about an age-gap romance with some BDSM kink. Well, it actually was an enemies to lovers age-gap romance but it was anything but a light read. Ivy Wild put me through the wringer with two emotionally broken souls fighting to stay afloat in life by adapting fire and ice personas to protect their fragile hearts. Xavier is a middle aged successful businessman with an icy demeanor to keep people away from himself. His strongest defense is the tight control he has over his feelings. Aubrey, on the other hand, is a lonely woman who has never truly been loved by anyone passed her worth to them, and she puts up a fiery front to push down her self-hate and self-doubt. She hides all her emotions except anger to protect her heart. So, our fire and ice couple clash, fight and test each other, all the while trying to trump down their intense attraction towards the other.
Again, I was completely immersed in their love/hate relationship and appreciated Ivy’s story telling.

I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end and discovered that once I started I had a nard time putting it down. It moves along at a pace which makes for a relaxing read, has interesting characters that you want to know more about and a story that keeps you interested and reading. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.

Beautiful Surrender by Ivy Wild is the story of Xavier and Aubrey.
Xavier is a cold dark man who makes a deal with a Senator who is Aubrey's father. This puts Aubrey in his sites. Aubrey has always had to bite her tough and go along with what her father says. Xavier and Aubrey start to come together which leads them both to something they where missing.

This is not a typical BDSM romance. This is a slow burn romance with a lot of psychological elements where love isn't earned through paddles, but control.
Aubrey Knight is the daughter of a senator. She has grown up in a fake world and has never really known what it's like to be herself. Is she a brat? Yes, she is pretty good at acting out, but when it's the only way to gain attention in a world where she's never known love, and it's the only thing she knows.
Xavier Payne is a man all about control and order. When he barters a deal with the senator and Aubrey is the collateral. Xavier uses the time Aubrey is isolated in his home to fix the broken girl, but he never thought she'd turn the tables on him and crack his ice filled chest open with all of her fire.
While these two would seem like complete opposites; a bratty, spoiled girl vs. a polished, controlled man. The more time they spend together and melt each other walls, they find out they may be more alike than they ever would have guessed.
Fire vs. ice is the underlying theme throughout the entire story, but will fire melt the ice or will the ice put out the fire? These two are opposite and don't give in easy, it's a true battle to find any happiness, but neither have really experienced happiness in their lives to know it is possible and should be important.
This is a slow burn, so don't get frustrated by the back and forth. In a true enemies to lovers that push and pull makes that slow burn bubble and boil until it steams up to the perfect temperature.

This is a slow burn, so don't get frustrated by the back and forth. In a true enemies to lovers that push and pull makes that slow burn bubble and boil until it steams up to the perfect temperature.

This is a age gap-gap, enemies to lovers, captive romance with some BDSM scenes. I am going to go ahead and warn you that once you pick up this amazing book, you are not going to want to lay it down. Here you have two characters that are complete opposites. Aubrey is fiery and Xavier is ice. However together they just seem to fit perfectly. Aubrey has a dad that is a congressman and her father needs for her to be perfect at all time. Her father would take nothing less than her full support without her showing her butt. But since she is such a great daughter she fully agrees to the switch her father is making and finds herself in a world she never wanted to be in, in the first place.
When you pick this book up, you are not going to want to put it down. This is the story of Xavier and Aubrey. Aubrey is the congressman's daughter and Xavier is lets say a business man. Her dad is in serous needs of funds, one million of them to be exact. Xavier is willing to do it and support the Senator in his next election but the catch is that Aubrey has to come and live with him until he Xavier tells her father that his debt has been paid. If she didn't do it then the deal with off. But the Senator raised his daughter better than to say no, so off to Xavier she goes and she has not intention of making things easy on Xavier. So she pushes his buttons left and right but what she doesn't know is she is dealing with a man that has trained himself to never let his emotions show. But in life you usually get what you give and Aubrey better watch out.
I really loved this book. I was hooked form the beginning and sad when the book ended. I loved the characters. Their interactions were fire and the story is just everything.

Beautiful Surender by Ivy Wild is a fabulous book, and I found I couldn't put it down, I can't put my finger on exactly why I loved it so much but I did. I think I loved it because both of the main characters, Xavier and Audrey, both think that they need to prove something to the world and each other when both of them just need to be honest with each other and themselves. Audrey has always known that she is a pawn in her father's political game but she has to come to terms with the fact that her father never really cared about her at all. And Xavier has to realize that he doesn't have to be his father to gain respect or to be loved, he can just be himself.
Audrey has always known that her father's number one priority is his political career, but she never knew how far he'd take it until he used her as collateral. In order to get a recount for the election he just lost, Audrey's dad borrows money from Xavier to pay for it. With this Audrey then realizes how little he cares for her when he'd essentially sell her to someone for his career. But if Audrey is going to be forced to live in Xavier's house she's going to make him regret it and break all of his rules. But soon Audrey gets to know Xavier and realizes that he might be the man for her, who will love her for who she is and not what she can do for him...

Beautiful Submission is an age-gap romance that has a couple that will be familiar if you have read Infamous. If you haven’t, no worries, enough backstory is given that you won’t feel lost. This book has just enough suspense that I questioned the path Ivy was leading me down. I love when a book opens my eyes and mind. Xavier has a deep need to save broken things and no one is more broken than Aubrey. Her entire identity has been forced down her throat. But, he also has a deep need for control. They are both broken, abandoned and have no idea how to love. Which makes them perfect for one another.
Aubrey Knight, congressman’s daughter, privileged, educated, but completely alone. At first she comes off completely spoiled. But, then the layers begin to peel back and underneath all her fire and false bravado is someone who just wants to be accepted.

This is the second Ivy Wild book that I have read and I loved it.
Aubrey Knight had everything that she could want, money, beautiful clothes, a beautiful home, she was the daughter of Congressman Robert Knight, she was paraded out for all his fund raising functions etc and she hated it. Her father had allowed her to get a degree but wouldn't let her do anything with it, her life was worthless and loveless.
Robert Knight lost the election, how could that possibly happen, he had held the position for years, he would demand a recount but for that he needed money, lots of money.
Xavier Payne, wealthy music mogul was the person who Robert knew was in a position to help him, Xavier was calculating and controlling, the only stipulation for the loan was that Aubrey would live with him as collateral until the debt was paid.
Aubrey moved from one gilded cage to another, she was afraid of Xavier but she would never show it, he would never get the better of her, she does what no one else dares to do she stands up to Xavier. Xavier is not used to not being obeyed and Aubrey was putting a wrecking ball in his bland, controlled life.
The author has written fantastic characters, I could feel the tension, the reluctance, the sheer magnetism set at opposite poles and the electric chemistry when the poles come together. Can submissive trainer Xavier ever get Aubrey to submit, did he want to ? Can Aubrey break down Xavier's walls, this book is a real page turner.

I absolutely love Ivy Wild's writing, she always surprises me, and that is tough to do. Her characters feel like they are your friends sitting down to tell you a story. And what story this was.
We first met Aubrey and Xavier in Wild's book, Infamous. They were both not so great people, but even at the time I was thinking I hope I get to find out, eventually, what happens to these two. Never would I have thought that they'd have their own story together.
From the outside Aubrey seems like a spoiled socialite with everything going for her. Well she doesn't but what we show the world always looks much prettier than the reality. Her reality is that nobody really cares for her at all. And so she can't care for herself or others, she really doesn't even know how.
Xavier is all tough, I will take you down, guy. But then you get to know him and he has all the layers. He is also part of the BDSM world, which is in the book snippet so I do not feel like I am spoiling anything for you by saying that. Which I honestly don't love books with that type of story because it is usually portrayed incorrectly. (Spoiler I worked in mental healthcare as a marriage therapist for 20 years I actually know what I am talking about here.) As usual though Wild has done her job and her research and this part of their story is very well done.
I absolutely loved Aubrey and Xavier's story, the characters are real, and make you root for them. I twas a beautiful journey. I hope you enjoy it!

My journey with this author started with a very big BAM, because the first book I've read from Ivy Wild left me speechless. With every next , I always have big expectations, and for sure, this author and Beautiful Submission hadn't disappointed me. I really enjoyed this book, and couldn't put down.
Beautiful Submission is a slow burn romance, but Ivy Wild is delivering the story, that keept me on my toes from the first pages. The tension between main characters, had been mixed perfectly with story line, making every next page an unforgettable adventure.
Author is literally juggling reders emotions like a master player. Aubrey doesn't have the easiest character, and I won't tell You how many times I wanted to scream at her... That's why, Xavier was THIS man, who could tamed her. I loved how their relationship became something deeper. Beautiful Submission It was a truly evolution of love story, between two lonely and a little lost souls. The title couldn't be more accurate, for Aubrey and Xavier their romance was like a journey, to find love - even if they didn't realized this at the beginning. Some things need a lot of fighthig, but when the time and the person is THE ONE, there's nothing better, than feel very submissive to the love, right?

Beautiful Surrender by Ivy Wild is one that cannot be passed up! it is an absolute must read!! The storyline of an alpha dominant male and a fierce leading lady with chemistry off the charts is nothing short of amazing. I just could not put this book down!
Xaiver- dominant, mysterious, older and all around sexy as sin was an absolute joy to read his story- He's had tremendous struggles with his early childhood and made him into the man he today- cold as ice. Aubrey is Xaiver's undoing.
Aubrey- "She's so good at being bad" One word comes to mind when I think of her- rebel. She's been known as the Congressman's daughter for her entire life- always being told what to do and what to say- so acting out is an escape for her…. she's young at heart as well as her age and she's stepped right in the path of Xaiver Payne. She is as fierce and hot as fire as they come. Xaiver is Aubrey's savior in more ways than one.

Enticing. Stunning. Engrossing. Mesmerizing. That’s only a few words to describe Beautiful Submission by Ivy Wild. Honestly, it’s not what I expected reaching out for this book. It’s so much more, with intensity and complexity that I couldn't put it down.
It’s a heartbreaking Xavier and Aubrey story, two broken souls that have to live in the public eye, in certain ways to meet society expectations and keep a created image. Even at the cost of losing who they truly are. Loneliness and emptiness - you can basically hear screaming to fill them, to end the state of numbness. To peel all the layers to get to their own true core, to finding their own worth, acceptance of themselves and imperfections.
It’s enemies to lovers, sweet age gap, slow burn romance, filled with so much suspense and angst, deep and raw emotions, steam, perfect chemistry between Xavier and Aubrey - icy cold & fiery flames. It’s not typical bdsm romance - it’s about control and dominance, but in a psychological way.

This story! I was unable to read this book when it first came out and man am I kicking myself for it now. I loved this book, just loved it! Xavier and Aubrey have easily become my favourite Ivy couple. Their banter was impeccable and drew me in immediately. I could not get enough of their push and pull and it literally made this book just fly by. It probably didn't hurt that it really reminded me of how my husband and I are with each other. Never giving in to each other. Always having that fight. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about some of the BDSM I knew would be in this book because from other books it's been mediocre. Well Ivy has written it in a way that really eases you in and really teaches you about it. It doesn't have to be so over the top as one would expect from other sources and it honestly made this book better for having it in there. I just do not have enough good things to say about this book I simply loved it and could not get enough of this amazing couple! Another amazing story by Ivy!

She’s sadly mistaken if she thinks he will let her get away with juvenile behavior.
When these two let their walls down, the true beauty appears. Their chemistry is through the roof. Their scenes together had me desperately needing new underwear and a cold shower. The age gap had me even more intrigued. I would love by own Xavier. I highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Xavier Payne is the name of power. People around the city worship and fear him in the same way. He is a control freak and now the one he wants to submitted is Aubrey Knight. When her father lost the election and came begging him for money, they struck a deal. She would serve as collateral until the loan was repaid.
He grants this absolutely absurd rules and expects her to follow them. She laughs in his face, challenged him all the time and makes his life a living hell. One where his ice and her fire are going to find a way to live happily ever after.
This is a twisted romance. Dark, with a bit of Dominant/submissive role play, two absolutely broken people who keep fighting and pushing each other, with great sexy times and a lot of aghast. Maybe I enjoyed books a little less dim, but this one has a way to absorb you and you just need to keep reading. It’s absolutely a page-turner. I finished it in less than two days. As always, the writing is flawless and engaging.

These 2 are both so hard headed and stubborn and never show their vulnerable sides. When they finally let each other in, it's a beautiful sight!! At first, Xavier wants nothing to do with her, and Aubrey does all she can to drive him crazy, but then sparks start flying, and when they give in, it's HOT!!!

As Xavier and Aubrey begin their journey in a hate/love relationship they begin to unravel of who they really are and why they became the ice and fire.

The first portion of the book, I didn't think I would be giving this book five stars. At that point, I didn't like the characters. But this is an enemies-to-lovers book so that's actually kind of perfect. And by the end, I loves them too. There is so much more to them than initially seen, their true selves being hidden to most of the world; one by fire and the other by ice. By the end, really the only issue I saw was in Xavier's back story- sorry, but this doesn't seem set in the future so his back story from 30 years ago isn't accurate- the strangers phone could not have gone off with a notification, if it went off it was only for a phone call. And looking up the stranger online- internet was around but its not what it is today or as easily accessible. That might have been possible, but I still really question it, especially since he had so little.

Can we say Xavier Payne could be like secret agent? Yet thinking this could be a tinge of 50 Shades but with a better plot and better writing? Ok fine I said it. Don't shoot the messenger. Xavier Payne has secrets and built a wall around his heart so that no one can penetrate it. Aubrey who is a spit fire of her own. Trying to be seen by her loved one as an individual. But is never given the chance to spread her own wings and figure out what she truly wants to do. She was molded by her parents to be the perfect daughter. Anyways, just spending days and weeks with Payne, Aubrey has slowly chipped away his cold heart. But is he willing to admit that and show Aubrey this? But, during the day and night Payne has dark secrets and somehow shows it to Aubrey to break her to submit to him. Oops, did I fail to mention Xavier is into BDSM and wants Aubrey's submission because of her father's debt. Oh yes...hence the not so nice reference to 50 Shades. Sorry, not sorry. anyways, loved the angst...so much.. I can't wait for you all to read this.

I’m not sure I even have the right words to express how much I genuinely enjoyed every single moment of this really awesome story .Once I started , I had a extremely hard time putting it down , to the point that I ended up reading into the early morning hours . This has BDSM aspects but In no way is your typical BDSM romance- it’s a slow burn , full of so much emotion, so much steam , amazing chemistry between Aubrey and Xavier . I fell so fast and so hard for not only Their characters but also their journey together . One of my favorite things about this book was the experience of seeing their relationship change , and grow into so much more then they ever expected. All the emotions I felt while reading. What a ride and what a phenomenal story
