So . . . yeah. She'd been assaulted . . . kind of, although it had started out consensually enough. And she'd been raped . . . kind of.
. . . she'd been so unbearably turned on during her own rape and assault, she hadn't even known it was happening.
He’d known she would have marked, but the mottle of lingering bruises on her bottom still gave him pause once she was bare, and he saw them firsthand. He hoped he never met the man who’d done this to her. And now he was going to paddle her on top of it before she was completely healed? He weighed his options, her frame of mind, and her needs against the mottle of healing bruises. If a man beating a woman fresh out of the hospital with bruises on her face, bruises on her body, a black eye, and choke marks around her neck says "responsible Daddy Dom" to you, go for it. For me, these books that use domestic violence, assault, and rape as nothing more than exploitative plot points magically "cured" by BDSM aren't worth it. I get that these are fantasies, but I just can't suspend my disbelief enough to make any of this palatable.
