Pretend I'm Yours
I am in love with Larkyn and Kade's story! What started out as fake, with a mutual understanding that they cannot fall in love with each other and after a year they will divorce and go their separate ways. But life does not always go according to plan, and things happen, and the lines get blurred and crossed.
Kade is such a strong male, at times he can be overbearing, and even though his reason for going into this fake marriage is to keep other women at arms length, he could not have picked a better pretend bride. And poor Larkyn, her family is so unbelievable, that I was cringing with their interactions.
That ending was perfect and oh so good for this couple.
Pretend We're Over is Sebastian and Millie's story it was so good I could not put this book down!
This couple finds themselves in a honeymoon suite with wedding rings on their fingers and no memory of what happened. They pretend to be married and go on the already paid for honeymoon and try to figure out what to do next. They promise to pretend for 6 months and that's when things get complicated and not what each other wanted.
I love this couple the most as they were struggling and it felt so real and chaotic!
Pretend You're Her is a different twist on this Pretend series. Finally we find out what is going on with Oaklee and Boden, and then Dax enters the picture and asks Oaklee to pretend she is his bride for a day. The ironic ups and downs of this story had my heart breaking for Oaklee and not liking Boden very much.
Wonderful series with interconnected characters!

When Fake Is Real

These fake relationships are full of missteps and secrets but these couples fight for each other, hard! 💥🔥🎉

Here are my individual reviews for each book. Happy reading! 📚💋

Pretend I'm Yours 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Blowhard
4.5 stars -- Kade is an idiot and Larkyn definitely has her moments but when the chips are down, they are there for each other. I really liked this story. When they aren't intentionally driving each other crazy, they are sweet, loving, fierce, loyal, and a tad bit possessive. Hehehe.... A Little extra at the end would have been nice but that's my own greed. With any luck, Sebastian's story will visit these two a bit more. *fingers crossed* (UPDATE: Yes, they are revisited in the next book.)

I listened to and loved the audio book for this, too. I like the narrators, Addison Barnes and Jason Clarke, and will be listening to this one again for certain..

Larkyn and Kade are definitely a fun read. ... Even when driving me nuts. 😏

There are some dark subjects covered. There are also awful family members that are frequently encountered, and I don't mean Sebastian.

Pretend We're Over 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Making Deals Vegas-Style
4.5 stars .. A fun, hot, and interesting read! Millie is a spitfire. And Sebastian? Well, he's grown up since we last saw him but in many ways he's still that same guy from the latter part of the previous book. They play off each other well, being what the other needs - even if they don't realize it.

They may have forgotten their wedding night but they are on fire as they make up for it. And for as much as Sebastian and Kade think they aren't alike, they have a lot of similarities with their relationships - hospitals, stalkers, and poor communication for starters. They're also both pig-headed and really good at playing the role of a jerk.

Her words are a lie. I know it, she knows I know it. But her words strike me. Like a blow from a sword, they weaken me. They may not be true for her, but they are true for me.
-- Sebastian King

Pretend You're Her 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Peaches
I will start by mentioning that there are timeline discrepancies that are noticeable only if you've read Pretend We're Over. I won't point them out in case you don't catch them. 🕰😊

Oaklee, Millie's best friend, has some debts to settle and finds herself crashing a wedding and in an unexpected predicament. I mostly like it but there are a couple of parts I would've been happier not being in the story.

Oaklee and Dax pull the wool over a lot of eyes, with Madison's approval, while each keeping secrets. Oh, and Boden is a worse snake than I expected.

Each book in this series got more farfetched as they went along.
Apart from Pretend You're Mine, the books were as unrealistic as they can get. But that didn't prevent me from devouring this series. I was addicted! The whole series has a soap opera-ish feel to it. It's pseudo serious and campy at the same time and melodrama at its finest. I liked it. And holy moly Ella Miles is an amazing storyteller and writer! Despite all my misgivings about how ludicrous these people were, I blew through this series.

Book 1 - Pretend You're Mine

My favorite of the three. Kade and Larkyn had the most plausible storyline. I liked how they each had their vulnerabilities and supported each other. Theirs was the most realistic progression in the development of their fake marriage. It was nicely plotted as well.

Book 2 - Pretend We're Over
Hmm, not my favorite. I liked how we get Sebastian's story when he is much older and mature, but Millie was not who she was cracked up to be. Lots of mixed messages and tomfoolery on every single characters part in this one.
I was already suspending belief
and enjoying the show, but the ending completely lost me, it went off the rails into sh*t show city. I just found them full of sh*t by the end.

Book 3 - Pretend You're Her
The implausibility continues with Oaklee and Dax's story. If you read book two, you will note the continuity discrepancy, since history has been rewritten, because apparently Eddie was conceived the day of her wedding and not before as was previously written in Pretend We're Over. I am overlooking these things as I am here for the entertainment. But you know ladies, you don't have to chase your baby daddy across the country to negotiate child support. You can go to court and get legal assistance by doing a simple google search for a start and knowing your rights. Digressing, anyway there were lots of problematic elements to their storyline, least of all, the revelations about Dax which just seemed glossed over and brushed under the rug. Somehow it all worked out for the best.

It may seem like I did not really enjoy this, but in fact I was glued to these stories all weekend. We don't always love everything happening in our favorite movies or shows, and especially in this case, our books. Still, it was great, captivating storytelling with churn, that helped me escape my own reality for awhile.

I don’t know why I waited to so long to read this series! Ella Miles has done it again with another great series that focuses more on the romance than on the mafia lifestyle. She never disappoints regardless of the type of book she is writing!

You have 6 people who don’t believe they are worthy of being loved, being accepted for who they are or the mistakes they have made in their pasts. You have 6 people who are afraid of being hurt and / or are afraid of hurting someone they really care about. Lots of secrets, deceptions and drama can be found while reading these 3 stories of “fake” marriages. Great characters, great plots and a lesson learned that anyone is worthy of being loved and cared for.

I look forward to reading more from Ella Miles and can’t wait for the next series to come out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed this set of three “pretend” romances. I liked how these stories were interconnected so that we got a glimpse of past and future characters, and really made them so much more well-rounded. They were all fun to read, and so steamy hot and sizzling. Definitely a great addition to my library.

Note that at this time, book three appears to only be available as part of this complete collection.

FROM PRETEND I’M YOURS, BOOK 1:

Kade And Larkyn's Story Has It All - Great Tension, Steamy Scenes, First Time, A Fake Marriage, Family Drama, And A Little Suspense!

Larkyn Day, twenty-two, is hoping to lose her virginity before graduating from UC Santa Barbara in a month. Her dreams of love and romance are over after her four years of dating produce nothing. Now she just wants to do the deed and get it over with. To that end, her bestie helps her sneak into the most exclusive party of the year, hosted by the most popular guy in their class, Sebastian King. Larkyn dresses up in hopes of blending in with the uber-wealthy in attendance. Never did she imagine that Sebastian himself would decide to make her his flavor du jour.

Kade King, roughly twenty-five, has one rule: never sleep with women from Santa Barbara. He graduated from Stanford four years ago, then took over running the family businesses he inherited. He is loaded, which means the stealthy single women of Santa Barbara want two things from him: a ring and an heir. They aren't terribly subtle about it, and he isn't interested in either. L.A. women are more understanding of his one-date limit. Even if he did do love, Kade doesn't have the time. He is too busy working nonstop or digging his younger brother Sebastian out of more trouble.

When Larkyn's latest attempt to lose it fails, she blames Sebastian's dark and mysterious brother Kade. She hates both King brothers. But as fate would have it, she later encounters Kade and reluctantly accepts that he is a nice person after all. Before she knows it, they become friends and he agrees to be her fake date at a dreaded family party. They soon after find themselves leaping into a fake marriage. Kade needs a layer of protection from the aggressive women of Santa Barbara, and Larkyn, who rejects financial assistance, would benefit greatly from the protection and respect that Kade's last name provides.

Kade and Larkyn have wonderful chemistry together. They each have a past that trips them up with relationships, so as feelings begin to get real, they fail to effectively communicate about their changing circumstances. Kade is emotionally blocked and living in the past, while Larkyn's fierce stubbornness helps her to stand strong.

Kade and Larkyn's story has it all - great tension, steamy scenes, first time, a fake marriage, family drama, and a little suspense. The story is nicely written with only an occasional error. The plot is complex. The main characters are well-defined. They feel real. The supporting characters play very minor roles and are thus flatter, which might be expected due to the length. The POV alternates between Kade and Larkyn. I rate this book four stars.

FROM PRETEND WE’RE OVER, BOOK 2:

Sebastian & Millie’s Story Has It All – Tension, Fake Marriage, Twists, Addiction, & A Few Tears!

Sebastian King gets his own story with Millie Raine in the second book of this series. It takes place a decade later, giving fans a peek at Kade and Larkyn in the future.

Sebastian King, roughly thirty-three, doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage. His brother Kade and sister-in-law Larkyn are the exception, of course. But Sebastian cannot afford to go down that road and make a mistake. He is always just one mistake away from going off the program. Even with over a decade of sobriety under his belt, he knows he will never be safe from falling back into addiction. He lives a regimented life. Routine keeps him clean. One of his rules is that he never sleeps with a woman more than once – for self-preservation. He has devoted his life to helping people like himself. He co-owns a non-profit with Larkyn, a wellness center for addiction and healing. But most people don’t know that side of him. To most, he is known as a jerk and relentless playboy.

He and Kade had been orphaned, and they hadn’t had a loving childhood beforehand. While his older brother Kade threw himself into running the family empire, Sebastian threw himself into drugs, alcohol, and women in his youth. He barely graduated from UC Santa Barbara without landing in jail for drunk driving. Today he understands his triggers. He mostly avoids bars, strip clubs, and similar temptations. But Boden, the last of his single friends, has asked him to be his best man. Sebastian is convinced the marriage will fail, but that is for Boden and his bride Oaklee to figure out on their own. The wedding is taking place in Las Vegas. How that setting might impact Sebastian isn’t something that occurs to Boden. Boden also doesn’t see the problem with having a joint bachelor and bachelorette party in a Vegas strip club, even though Sebastian attempts to point it out to him.

Millie Raine, thirty-two, has never had a one-night stand. She has had several relationships, though, and mistakenly believed she was in love in the past but every relationship ended in heartbreak. As much as she tries, she still cannot shirk the last man in her life. She swore off men some time ago and doesn’t believe marriage is in the cards for her. With the exception of her best friend Oaklee and Boden, Oaklee’s boyfriend of five years, she doesn’t believe marriage is a good idea for anyone. She loves to be free. To travel. To live life doing what makes her happy.

When Sebastian and Millie awake in bed together in the honeymoon suite of the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, neither has a memory of how they got there. But when they discover their matching rings, dread sinks in. To save face in front of their friends, they decide to play along and quietly divorce or get an annulment later. But Millie sees an opportunity to put some space between her and an ex that keeps pestering her, and Sebastian is surprisingly fine with giving her six months of a pretend marriage.

For fans of Pretend I’m Yours, it is wonderful to see Sebastian clean ten years later. He has matured, though he is somewhat cynical and the spark in his life is gone. He and Millie are an unlikely pair on the surface. He lives a rather dull life, full of routine. She lives a life full of spontaneity. He is neat, but she is a slob. Yet Millie is actually perfect for Sebastian. He had given up most things that made him feel good in order to stay clean, but Millie brings laughter and fun back into his life. They can only have one night together, per Sebastian’s rules, so the romantic tension builds. They have incredible chemistry together. As for Millie, she has self-image issues. Her past relationships left her feeling inadequate. Unmarriageable. She comes across as super self-confident – Sebastian calls her bossypants and loves it. But she developed that attitude to mask the darkness inside. Sebastian’s experience working in the wellness center gives him the tools necessary to help identify Millie’s underlying problem and to get her to feel safe opening up. As Sebastian and Millie grow closer over the course of their six-month arrangement, neither wants to pretend anymore. But the possibility of a real future together is threatened by the secrets that they keep. The couple gets a beautiful happy for now ending!

Sebastian and Millie’s story has it all – great tension, steamy scenes, a fake marriage, adventure, surprising twists, addiction, family drama, and a few tears. The story is nicely written. The plot is somewhat complex, with surprising twists that come out of nowhere. The characters are nicely developed, particularly Sebastian’s character (which carries over from book one). The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Sebastian and Millie. I rate this book four stars.

FROM PRETEND YOU’RE HER, BOOK 3:

Dax & Oaklee’s Forbidden Romance Is Steeped In Mystery & Lies! There Are A Number Of Discrepancies Both Within This Book & Between Books 2 & 3 That Make It A Frustrating Read.

This book opens in Aspen, Colorado, but most of the story takes place in the Santa Barbara area of California. Just over a year has passed since Oaklee left Boden at the altar. Baby Eddie is six months old. For those that have read Sebastian and Millie’s story in book two, be prepared for some confusion. Oaklee plays a fairly big part in book two; Boden a lesser role. In book two, his character took a wild and unexpected turn that seemed entirely inconsistent with earlier descriptions of his life. Here he goes further down the rabbit hole. But moreover, basic facts established in book two are switched up here. You are probably better off reading this book without having read book two first as it becomes a bit frustrating. Additionally, there are endless discrepancies as well as things that just don’t add up within this story that further frustrate the attentive reader.

Oaklee, roughly thirty-one, had hoped to leave Boden Vaughn in her past. After she caught him cheating the night before their wedding, she hadn’t been able to forgive him. She left him at the altar, but she was already pregnant at the time. He hadn’t wanted to accept any responsibility for the pregnancy and disappeared entirely soon after that. He had also left her straddled with credit card debt – debt that he left in her name. Oaklee had been content to raise their son Eddie on her own, but now she is struggling to get by. Things went south when she was laid off from her job – a job she loved as a curator at an art museum. Finding a new job isn’t easy, and she has no family of her own left to lean on. For the sake of their six-month-old son, she knows it is time to swallow her pride and seek out Boden. At the very least, Eddie deserves the financial support of his father. She hired a PI to track down Boden and discovered that he moved across the country. Traveling with an infant is complicated, but fortunately, she learned that he will be in Aspen, Colorado over the weekend for a wedding.

Dax Spade, roughly thirty-four, is a liar, among other things. He knows that he is not a good man. He doesn’t have a past to be proud of and he has a history of hurting the people around him. He finally got his act together and has built a successful career. It seems that no matter how much money he makes, however, he can never outlive his past.

Madison Brooks and Dax have been best friends since high school, and they are finally going to tie the knot. Madison is an heiress – they had been an unlikely match – but their friendship has withstood the test of time. Dax has always stood by her, while Madison’s relationship with her family has always been strained. Madison loves to travel and her job as a pilot keeps her busy; Dax works from home but travels with her when time allows. Setting a date had been nearly impossible given her parents’ busy schedules, but Dax finally pulled it off. All the guests are gathered and waiting in a picturesque Aspen, Colorado hotel, but Madison’s flight has been canceled.

When Dax mistakes another woman for Madison, an awful idea forms in his mind. He persuades the woman to pretend to be Madison in exchange for $50,000. He knows Madison won’t mind – and she might even find it funny. He observes that the Madison lookalike is somehow connected to Boden, but Dax is too desperate to care. Dax shouldn’t enjoy kissing her so much when the minister announces them man and wife, but he knows they have no future. The complications don’t end there, though. In the weeks that follow, Madison doesn’t return home for family obligations. When Dax runs into the lookalike again, he gets another horrible idea. Soon Oaklee and her baby have moved into his and Madison’s home. He shouldn’t be attracted to another woman, so he knows he is in trouble.

When Oaklee agrees to be a stand-in for Madison for six months in exchange for money, it comes at a time of desperation. She learns that Boden didn’t just take out credit card debt – he owes a loan shark three million dollars. For some reason, the thugs seem to think that they can collect the money from his ex-fiancée, so Oaklee has little choice but to accept Dax’s offer. Yet even when all is said and done in six months, she won’t have the money she needs. With Boden’s continued avoidance, Oaklee’s life is at stake.

Dax and Oaklee share an instant attraction to one another, but a relationship is forbidden. The one thing Oaklee hates most is cheaters. She also hates liars. Their relationship gets off to a very unconventional start. It is a business transaction, but it leads to a personal connection. As they explore their feelings for one another, they each struggle with their past. They are both weighed down by lies that will eventually catch up to them. The couple struggles through some ups and downs, but they eventually find a happy ending.

There are a few issues that merit mention. I found over two dozen discrepancies in this book. It is too much to itemize, but I will give a few examples. It claims that Dax and Madison managed to go to the same college together, then it later states that Dax never went to college. In another instance, Oaklee mentions that Sebastian and Millie are selling their home to travel the world. First, selling the home seems completely unnecessary since Sebastian is loaded. But a dozen pages later, Millie shares the surprise announcement that she and Sebastian are selling the house to travel the world – something that Oaklee already knew. By the way, in book two Oaklee and Boden had traveled the world together. In book two, Oaklee had been an attorney; here she is a curator – a job that is probably more difficult to find. Finally, given that Boden and Oaklee dated for five years according to book two, it seems unbelievable that she didn’t know so many things about him – or about Dax. It seems impossible that Boden could have been seen as a great guy for five years by Oaklee and their friends when here he has so many deep-rooted problems that go way back. Note that there ought to be an explanation for Dax and Boden’s last names, but it is missing.

Ages are not given in this book. Because Boden and Oaklee met in their last year of grad school according to book two – Boden for business and Oaklee for law – and because they dated for five years, they were roughly thirty when they nearly tied the knot; that makes them roughly thirty-one now. Dax is three years older than Boden so he is roughly thirty-four.

Dax and Oaklee’s forbidden romance is steeped in mystery and lies. Fans may appreciate the tiny peak at Sebastian and Millie’s life. The story is plot-driven. A number of discrepancies both within this book and between books two and three make it frustrating to follow; I nearly put it down halfway through but stubbornly hoped for an explanation that would put all right in the end. It is told in first person. The POV alternates between Dax and Oaklee. I rate this book 3.5 stars.

This was a fantastic collection. These three books are all standalone but were awesome together in this collection. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between each of the MCs as well as the drama and HEA that each book offered. I really enjoyed this trilogy and I would recommend it and Ms. Ella as a wonderful author.

This is the first time I've read this author. Overall, this box set was entertaining. At times, the writing is outlandish, but in the end, these are fictional stories and they are entertaining and sweet. The first story, Pretend, I'm Yours, is Kade and Larkyn's story. He needs a wife and she wants to lose her virginity. The second book, Pretend, We're Over. Here is Sebastian's story, he's in Las Vegas for his best friend's wedding... only he gets drink and marries the maid of honor, Millie, who can't stand him. Good times... The third book, Pretend, You're Her... I adored this story! Dax's bride to be is a no-show. Coincidentally, Oakley is in the venue attempting to talk to the father of her child, but he ran away. When she gives chase, she runs straight into Dax. He comes up with a half-baked plan for her to stand-in as his bride to be. This story was by far, my favorite of the box set. This series was great. I enjoyed having all three books in one box set to binge. Recommended!

Great Collection!
Larkyn was ready to lose her virginity and hope it is to Sebastian King. Before anything can happen between them, Sebastian’s brother breaks things up and Larkyn ends up going home. She is hit by a car on the way and Sebastian is driving. Larkyn is hurt but, in the hospital, soon Kade realizes they could help each other. He offers a fake marriage, but what will happen when sparks begin to fly between them? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, great characters and lots of steam. I liked it.

Sebastian and Millie marry after a wild night in Vegas, they are total opposites but decide to stay married for six months. Millie has a lot of secrets she is hiding, what will happen when Sebastian learns the truth? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and great chemistry. I liked the characters and the story drew me in from beginning to end. A good read.
Oakley needs to talk to the father of her child and ends up running into Dax who may be able to solve her problems as well. She just has to pretend marry him. Fast-paced read with loads of dram, suspense and steam. I liked it.

Make sure you have enough time to read the set as it is hard to put down.

I loved this box set.

These three books have connected characters and the stories link together.

Larkyn and Kade
Larkin didn't want to leave college as a virgin so she goes to the most exclusive party of the year and is surprised to find that stunning Sebastian wants to sleep with her. But they are interrupted and drunken Sebastian forgets to come back. Larkin starts walking home but is run over when a drunken Sebastian crashes his car. His older brother Kade looks after Larkin and makes her an offer.

Sebastian and Millie
A reformed and sober Sebastian is at a friend's Vegas wedding when things go wrong. The next morning Sebastian and Millie wake up married, but neither can remember why. What is going to happen with this fake marriage.

Oaklee and Dax
Oaklee was meant to get married at the Vegas wedding but that didn't happen and she was left with massive debts her fiance ran up in her name and a baby. How can Dax help her?

These stories aren't your normal fake marriage stories. Well worth a read.

Book 1 - Pretend I'm Yours
There have many, many "fake marriage" books out but I love the way Ella Miles wrote Larkyn and Kade's story. Larkyn feels the time is right to find a man for her "first time" but she is harboring several secrets that have impacted her dating life. Sebastian is the man who Larkyn believes is the man who will give her a magic time for the one night she is willing to give herself to him. When she meets Kade, his older brother he sends Sebastian on a mission that prevents the magic night she was sure would happen to materialize. When Kade sets eyes on Larkyn he believes she is the most beautiful woman he has ever met and definitely too good for his man-whore of a brother. After he sends her home, fate has plans for them that neither thought was a possibility. Following a horrific accident when she is ironically, run over by a drunken Sebastian, Kade steps in to be her hero and proposes a mutual beneficial plan that seems to be something both need. "Be my "fake" wife for one year and I will provide you with the sex you crave while as my wife, you will scare off the hordes of women who seem to only want to trap me into a marriage or be their baby Daddy to get my money." Little do either know that despite both trying not to, they form feelings for each other but at the same time, those feeling may break them apart before they get their HEA.

Book 2 - Pretend We're Over
Another new and clever twist on the fake marriage story or was it fake? When a hungover Maid of Honor, Millie wakes up beside a naked, Best Man Sebastian, they both realize they can't remember what happened. They decide to continue to farce especially when they are forced to go on the honeymoon that Millie's best friend was supposed to go on. Honeymoons are supposed to be the romantic catalyst for the rest of the lives for two people who are in love not so much for Millie and Sebastian. Their time together during this marriage is spent trying to avoid, but not succeeding falling in love. Can some hurtful and damaging information that comes to light once they are finally ready to admit they belong together keep them from their HEA? This story is full of surprises, and I loved reading each and every page.

Book 3 - Pretend You're Her
This was another great twist on the fake marriage story but so different from the first two stories in this book. When Oaklee crashes a wedding to try and confront her former fiancée and Baby Daddy, Boden she meets Dax, a handsome and charming stranger who she can't help but wish was her baby, Eddie's father instead of her horrible Ex. Things quickly go bizarre when she is later approached by Dax who happens to be the groom in the wedding but instead of being upset that she crashed the wedding, he asks her to be his fake Bride since the real bride's flight has been delayed and she won't make the ceremony. What starts out as a mutually beneficial friendship where each gets help with something they both need and then quickly becomes what under different circumstances begins to look like love. There are so many dangerous complications, secrets and lies or hidden truths that threaten these two that you begin to wonder if this might be the first story that doesn't end in an HEA. Great "bonus story" that I don't think was ever released in the original Pretend Series so this is the only place to read and enjoy.

1. Pretend I'm Yours
Truthfully, I'm not a big fan of fake marriage romances. There are so many of them and you can only tell the same story in so many ways. But then I found out Ella Miles wrote one and since she is one of my one-click authors, I wanted to give this one the benefit of the doubt. I'm glad I did. She's introduced us to Kade and Larkyn who take us on a whirlwind of angst, emotion, drama, and chemistry. There were parts that were fun and made me chuckle and then there were parts I want to knock both their heads together just so there might be a semblance of common sense fallout. It was a good read and one I'm glad I picked up.

2. Pretend We're Over
This was a wild adventure! Millie and Sebastian are in Las Vegas to attend their best friend's wedding. Unfortunately, the Maid of Honor and the Best Man can't stand each other. Millie tends to be a free spirit who doesn't let labels and rules stand in her way. Sebastian is a playboy who lives by a set of strict rules. The bride and groom wind up not getting married. And here it comes ….. Millie and Sebastian wake up to find they are and can't remember how that happened!! Ella Miles takes us through a plethora of emotions in this book. It was well written and the entire premise was one that sucked me in and kept me entertained throughout the story.

3. Pretend Your Her
'Pretend You're Her' is the third book in Ella Miles's "Pretend" series. It's a relatively quick read that moves quickly with a bit of mystery, a bit of humor, a bit of outrage, and almost instant chemistry. The story opens up with Oaklee crashing a wedding with a six-month-old child strapped to her front looking for her no-good ex and mumbling to herself. Their eyes meet and immediately Boden takes off power walking into another room where she proceeds to follow. Unfortunately, turning a corner she runs smack into Dax, whom she assumes is the groom, and he immediately calls her by another name. That's where this scenario starts and it just compounds through the book with all the drama she's left to face from her bad decisions, her ex's underhandedness, and then Dax and Meredith's curveballs. I enjoyed this fake romance tremendously, and that's saying something because that is one of my least favorite genres, but I had faith in Ms. Miles's talents and she didn't disappoint.

Each of these Pretend novels in this box set are excellent reads! Each novel’s characters make brief appearances in other books. Each one has you involved into their stories & what happens with each of the characters in getting to their HEA & falling in love. You, too, will fall in love with this box set!

I have previously read the first 2 as separate ARCs & the 3rd novel is the newest & final book in this series.

Pretend I’m Yours – Love It!

Absolutely loved this book! Some twists & turns, steamy hot scenes, & the uncertainty of this fake marriage ending in 1 year's time without either of them getting hurt. Ella Miles captures both of their feelings & how torn they are in feeling pulled into loving each other & yet still feeling they need to follow the signed contract. Well-worth reading this excellent novel.

Pretend We’re Over – An Absolute Must Read!

An amazing love story about Millie & Sebastian who are not who they really are pretending to be. They (as well as the reader) are left in the dark on the circumstances behind these 2 opposites who are now married. Trying to pretend outwardly to everyone they are happily married is proving difficult for Millie & Sebastian to keep their distance & the "fakeness" is now becoming more real between them within the 6-month period they allowed themselves to pull it off. Plus Millie has a secret & is disclosed near the end which I incorrectly guessed on the conclusion of this novel.

Pretend You’re Her – Deep Secrets & Regrets Revealed

Another great novel to read! This one I couldn’t put down at all & I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are so many secrets that can blow up their fake (or is it real?) relationship. A few surprises that are revealed throughout the chapters keeps you riveted until the last page. All is not what it seems with Dex & Oaklee falls for his smooth talking. She is too forgiving, after misjudging the boyfriends she’s dated, thinking they were the best & learning they aren’t worth it.

Pretend #1-3 . . .

These are three stories where a couple thinks they can handle their situation, whatever it may be, by just pretending. And as you can guess, feelings intervene and all that pretend stuff goes out the window. In the story reviewed below, Millie and Sebastian have it all figured out, their plans are set, and it all falls apart. Grab this complete series and enjoy the stories the author has put together. You will meet some likable characters and humorous situations. So smile and enjoy!

Stories included are:

❤️ PRETEND I'M YOURS
❤️ PRETEND WE'RE OVER
❤️ PRETEND YOU'RE HER

*** Reviewing “PRETEND WE’RE OVER” ***
Millie Raine and Sebastian King are as different as two people can be. They wake up in Vegas married and can’t even remember the glorious details! To save face in front of their friends, they decide to play along and stay married for 6 months to give them time to figure out how to convince people why their “marriage” failed as they end it. The problem is, their differences may be too great to be able to do that. Sebastian is a loner, following his own set of rules, engaging in regimented, one-night stands only, because he never wanted to be married. Millie is adventurous, carefree, and spontaneous.

What looked like a problem, however, may just be the best thing for both of them. Sebastian had given up most things that made him feel good in order to stay clean from his youthful addictions, but Millie makes him happy and brings fun into his too-serious life. Is it enough so that by the end of the 6 months they might not want to end the marriage? Grab your copy and see how things work out for two very opposite types who try to find a HEA of love and trust.

This is a great boxset which consists of the following: -
#1 Pretend I’m Yours
Wow, this is another must read page turner from this talented author. This story is fast paced, and is filled with emotion, angst, secrets, love, a fake marriage, and romance. This is an awesome story, which had me totally intrigued and captivated throughout
#2 Pretend We’re Over
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Millie and Sebastian’s story. Millie is jaded and has sworn off men after suffering too much heartbreak in her past. Sebastian is cynical and does not believe in marriage and lives a regimental life after winning the battle of his addiction 10-years previously. When these two wakes up in Vegas with no memory of getting married, they realise whatever happens in Vegas does not always stay there. They agree on a fake marriage for 6-momths, but will everything pan out the way they want? This is a well written story which is filled with drama, twists, addiction, emotions, and love.
#3 Pretend You’re her
This is the 3rd book in this incredible series, and this is Oaklee and Dax’s story. Oaklee gate crashes a wedding with her baby strapped to her, looking for her scumbag baby daddy, and when he spots her, he cannot escape the room quicker, with Oaklee in pursuit, which has her bumping into Dax. This is a well written story which has drama, emotions, intrigue, challenges, secrets, surprises, twists, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Pretend: The Complete Trilogy. These are phenomenal stories in one collection. It's beautifully written with well developed characters and a great storyline. The stories are mesmerizing, engrossing, and alluring. All the stories surrounds couples pretending in various situations for one reason or another, but the lines always get blurred when couples pretend. They're so many things going on in these stories ranging from Insta-lust, fake marriage, opposite attracts, fake dating, forbidden romance, domineering billionaires, sweet virgin heroine, one night stand, surprise pregnancy, drama, deception, lies, secrets, emotions, humor, anger, mystery, angst, sadness, heartaches, love, and tons of heat. The collection contains: Pretend I'm Yours, Pretend We're Over, Pretend You're Her.
In Pretend I'm Yours Larkyn is a twenty one year old virgin who is desperate to lose her her virginity as long as he's a decent guy, treats her right at least for the night. At first she thought she had to be in love with the perfect, and it had to be magical. But now she just wanted to get rid of it. She tried to approach Sebastian the playboy but his brother Kade send her away before anything could happen. Because he was attracted to her and as luck would have it they meet again a couple days later when Sebastian hit with his car while driving under the influence. Kade made her a proposition one that would be beneficial to both of if she pretend to in a relationship with him in order help him keep the gold diggers away from him as well as to keep his brother away from her.

Pretend I’m Yours
I loved Larken and Kade’s story. A fake relationship, no feelings and at the end of a year, part ways, well that’s the intention anyways. Both are stubborn in their own ways, afraid to share their feelings and what started out as agreement has now turned into something more, now all they have to do is acknowledge it.

Pretend We’re Over
Well, you all know the saying “What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” well, sometimes that’s just not the case. Sebastian and Millie are the Best Man and Maid of Honor at a friend's wedding, they are like oil and water, do not mix, they don’t like each other, and want nothing to do with each other. Well that is until said friend sets them up and the next thing you know somehow they wake up married. This author takes us on a fun rollercoaster ride filled with secrets, lies and so much more. Sebastian and Millie have chemistry, a spark and the attraction is undeniable, why not see how this works out? Right? What could go wrong?

Pretend You're Her
All Oakely wants is to find the father of her baby and when she crashes a wedding to find him he splits. Upset she meets Dax who is sweet and kind and he has a proposal for her that will change everything. She is turning her life around and catching feelings for Dax, but the creditors and loan sharks won’t stop harassing her for money, money that Boden owes them. The thing is Dax hasn’t been honest about who he is and that may be a game changer for Oakley.

Pretend I'm Yours:
Larkyn is on a mission to lose her virginity so she heads to a party where she meets Kade and one night changes her life forever. Larkyn goes through so much that night but not the way she wanted to. She's hit by a car goes to the hospital and ends up in a fake marriage. This is an interesting storyline with crazy twists and turns that took me on a roller coaster ride of drama, angst, steam and so much more.
Pretend We're Over Bk2:
Pretend We're Over is Sebastian and Millie's entertaining story. If you read Pretend I'm Yours then you know Sebastian is Kade's brother and he's done a lot of growing up since then. In this book Sebastian and Millie are in Vegas for a wedding and wake up the next morning married, but neither of them remembers what happened. I loved their journey as they realize that even though they are complete opposites they are perfect for each other. The writing is well done and the characters are well developed.
Pretend You're Her Bk3:
Dax and Oakley's story was about a one night stand that turns into a fake marriage, a pregnancy, and secrets, so many secrets. The story was interesting and packed with drama, characters with great chemistry, and a great ending. Pretend You're Her is book three in the Pretend series and so far I have loved them all.

This series was so good!! This is a fake marriage romance book about a 22 year old virgin who wants to get laid before she graduates college. Larkyn attends a party full of rich people, things happens and she ends up in a fake marriage with a rich guy who she hopes to not fall in love with.

This is book #2 in the series and I loved this story about Sebastian and Millie. Sebastian meets Millie on a night out in Vegas when they are there for their friends wedding. Well one thing leads to another and they end up married but neither of them remembers what happens! They end up going on their friends honeymoon and decide to stay married for 6 months. Such a great story about a fake marriage and all the things that happen during their time together!

Book #3 was about Oaklee and Dax. Oaklee ends up stepping in as Dax’s wife because she didn’t make the wedding and oaklee is only there to talk to Boden her baby daddy but things happen and they and up in a fake marriage. Where will it go from there??
Such a great series!

Pretend-The Complete Series. This is a great series. I love the books Ella Miles writes. They are exciting and they tug at your heart. You get wrapped up with the characters and feel all kind of emotions for the characters. Each book consists of two people connecting as a couple faking a relationship to gain something. The first book with Larkyn and Kade, "Pretend I'm Yours", becoming fake engaged to keep the women off of Kade and Larkyn was due to get money to live again and start her business. The second book, "Pretend We're Over", deals with Millie and Sebastian strangers getting married by mistake trying to help their friends reconcile. And the third book, "Pretend You're Her, brings Oaklee and Dax together. Oaklee pretends to be Dax's bride for the wedding ceremony because his fiance' is stuck in the airport. These stories are fun and will have you reading and not wanting to put the book down until you're done. Great reads!! This box set is amazing!!! I had already read and loved the first two Pretend stories, Pretend I'm Yours and Pretend We're Over so I was insanely excited to read the new Pretend You're Her. I loved all of these stories but Larkin and Kade were my favorite. I did like that while reading them in the set they flowed nicely from one story to the next because of interconnecting characters. I'm a huge fan of complete series sets like this because while they all can be read as a standalone you have the ability to immerse yourself in their world and not have to wait for the next book to come out. These are such well written books with wonderful characters and intriguing story lines. Ella Miles has a way of writing characters that become like real people. You become invested in their story and just get hooked! You don't want to stop reading. This is a fantastic set that I would highly recommend. If you enjoy the fake relationship trope then this is the set for you!!

This trilogy was a fabulous collection of fake marriage romances all with their own unique spin. Book one Pretend I’m Yours is Larkyn and Kade’s story. Kade proposes a marriage that would benefit both of them but for a year. However, they both develop feelings even if they don’t want to. The back and forth was entertaining and well written. I really loved how Larkyn was written. Book two Pretend We’re Over follows Millie and Sebastian who we met in book one. They end up married in Vegas and agree to stay married for 6 months. These two were my favorite couple of the trilogy and had me laughing throughout. Book Three Pretend You’re Her follows Oaklee and Dax. They meet by chance when Oaklee is trying to confront her son’s father. This one had a lot of secrets, twists and turns. I always love any book by Ella Miles you know you are getting a well written story that’s fresh and entertaining.

Pretend the Complete Series is a awesome set of stories in a box set. Ella Miles always has her way with words, making all characters seem like they are real and not just people on paper. I strongly recommend anything/everything she writes.

Story 1, Larkyn and Kade have incredible chemistry and when Kade proposes they commit to a fake marriage to help both of them out it turns into something far more. I loved it.

Story 2, Sebastian and Millie also had awesome chemistry, they were so great together and when there was a fake marriage proposed you could already tell that it wouldn't stay fake for long.

Story 3, Oakley and Dax was a different story than the other two but also similar at the same time. A one night stand turned into a pregnancy and a fake marriage to be mutually beneficial to both. They had amazing chemistry and I really enjoyed them together. It was a good read.

This is my first Ella Mills book but I can wholeheartedly say that it won't be my last. The three books were utterly amazing and drew me in from the off the characters well developed and the stories are exciting and they pull at your heart strings. Each book consists of two people connecting as a couple faking a relationship but a fake couple or ONS is not the direction these stories are going in. The first book with Larkyn and Kade, "Pretend I'm Yours", The second book, "Pretend We're Over", deals with Millie and Sebastian, and the third book, "Pretend You're Her, brings Oaklee and Dax together. These stories are fun and will have you reading and not wanting to put the book down until you're done. Great reads!! I am now going to keep a close look out for more books by this author, I dare say my kindle has got a well used future lol.

Pretend I’m Yours - Larkyn is 22, about to graduate college and she has been waiting to find the perfect guy to be her first but now she just wants the deed done and isn’t too picky about with who. While at a party she meets Sebastian, and she wants him to be the one until they are interrupted by his brother Kade. Later that evening Kade comes to her rescue and tries to make amends but all she wants is for him to be her date when her family comes for her graduation. After meeting her family Kade goes one better and now she is his fake wife but sometimes the best laid plans have unexpected outcomes.

I have only had a chance to read the first book in this three-book collection and I am looking forward to reading the other two stories.

I loved this series so much I read parts 1 & 2 again and enjoyed them just as much as the first time, but I have to say I wasn’t too keen on Oaklee in the second book until right at the end I saw a glimmer she might be nice 🤔 and have to admit that Oaklee and Dax were my favourite, I loved their story right from the beginning to the lovely ending and sweet little Eddie 😁 great read!
