One True Pair

Rate this book
On-Screen partners Tyler and Nick discover there might be a little more to their Bromance off-screen.

Turning forty in showbusiness was hard enough, having his divorce finalized on his fortieth birthday made it worse.

Tyler Barnes’ best friend and co-star Nick Lukin treats him to a night out to celebrate one and forget the other.

Drunk and hurting Tyler wakes up in Nick’s bed and that sets off a tidal wave of secrets and desires that could ruin their careers… or lead to finding their own true pairing.

An uncommon format/unique style but, you know what, it worked in a weird way. Celeste's books tend to range from me from nice to holy... cow =D and this one certainly delivered what she does best - an experience. Instead of getting all the nitty gritty details and setting the stage, this books just dives into the action (and the drama) but in a way that doesn't make my skin itch (like it usually does). While I have no doubts this book is not for everyone, well, there are a lot of books out there that try to go the mainstream route, maybe not enough who stand out.

Good

Short, sweet and very very sexy. I loved the intensity between the characters. After a drunken night of lust their lives change forever.

It’s not a long story so not a lot of world building but the story felt complete. Some angst and great hot times.

Nick and Tyler are good characters I enjoyed reading about. Their families were good supporting characters.

It’s been a while since the author has had a new book. I’m glad to see her back. I liked the book.

Kept this book for a while in my TBR because I found the plot really interesting but I thought that there was way too much variables and not enough pages. It had a lot of potential. But there was too much drama, not enough character development. Felt like the whole book was rushed.

Very VERY odd family dynamic on both sides but I enjoyed it very much. I couldn't help but picturing one of the guys as Nathan Fillion. . .

Fluff

There just wasn't much there. The story was short, almost non-existent. Seems like she wrote it over a lunch break. Characters were fun tho. Wish there had been more of them.

I have read other books layered with angst, but this author is consistent with the angst, drama, heartache, and bitchy exes. When I began reading mm romance I learned early on that this author’s books are not my jam. I read this one because I haven’t seen their name in awhile and the book is more a novella length, and they write some hot scenes. Mixed with too much angst. These two men were sexy. Nick came off as a little diabolical in his reactions to Ty, who seemed sad all through the book. The HEA was nice, but a bit ott.
