Great Read

I met Billy when I was in my early teens when we became neighbors. We had fun as teenagers. I would go over to Billy’s house and he would play records. I would dance to the music. I remember seeing Billy in his Crenshaw High Football gear. Billy also came to my house and visited with my cousins and friends. I remember my mother telling me to ask him to escort me to the Debutantes for Christ Ball. He did😀
When I found out he had written a book, I quickly went to Amazon and bought his book. As I started reading I was like…wait WHAT! As I turned the pages I was like…OH NO Really!!
I had no idea Billy was going through so much and harboring so much pain.
As an adoptee myself, I could identify with a lot of what Billy was feeling and the frustration.
After reading Billy’s book, It helped me to start my journey in finding my biological family.
I am so proud of Billy for opening up and telling his story.

Many of the very people that will read this amazing book, will develop there to own connections. However I feel that mine is more unique than most why you may asked well he’s Billy to you, but to me he’s dad. And to read a life story of adolescence the held so much pain and judgement it made further love the man I call father. Though every page I turned I continued to ask myself one question how could someone holding so much pain and adversity love me unconditionally. I all I can say is god is good and I thank him every day for my father. Love you pop and even more proud that you share your truth with the world.
