At one time, Al had it all. He dominated everything in his life from work to his lovers. He was one of the most sought-after bachelors and Doms in the area, but now, after being scarred in an explosion overseas, he hides, spending his life in solitude away from the public eye.
Coming home after years in the military, Brad is just trying to find his way and decide what he wants to do with his life. Getting back into the BDSM lifestyle he used to love is top of his list. He never expected to find someone at his brother's wedding.
Desire builds quickly between the two and they soon find they have more in common than they thought. One night turns into two, but is it enough? When Al is forced to make a reappearance in the world, it's all or nothing. They either face the world together or hide from it alone.

I love this author and was excited to read this one as I find Shibari so interesting. Al and Brad were both scarred from horrible incidents and stayed closed of from everyone but everything changes when the meet at Brad’s brother Andy’s wedding. The attraction is instantaneous and they begin a beautiful story together filled with attraction, desire, understanding one love for kink. Al is also a Dom and Brad a sub so they are able to perfectly blend their needs and tastes in and out of the bedroom/dungeon. When something awful happens to a family member, Al needs to step up and overcome his fears of people’s reactions to his scarring, Brad is with him every step of the way. I loved how perfectly they fit like two puzzle pieces. The scenes were done tastefully and it was really well written. I couldn’t put it down.
I love the idea of shibari and the pictures I've seen of it are beautiful.. I love this story of accepting one's flaws and getting past trauma.. and very 🔥 again I love authors who actually know about kink and the lifestyle instead of BSing it.. I go into more faith about that in my review for the first book but I have the same thoughts for this book
Good intro to BDSM. Two strong MCs with insecurities about scars. Not really hurt/comfort since their injuries are more physical than emotional. Insta-love that surprises the MCs.
