B.J. Frazier is an award-winning author of erotica from the U.S. Her professional résumé includes high school English teacher, advertising executive, business owner, certified Master Sexpert, Relationship Coach, Love Coach, and Sexologist. B.J. draws upon her diverse background to create believable and relatable characters and stories.

B.J. also writes from personal experience in Femdom, which adds realism to her stories.

A self-proclaimed feedback whore, B.J. loves to receive feedback from her readers. The comments she never tires of hearing are, "you're so readable" and "your characters are relatable." The stand-out comment is from a very vanilla reader, who said, "I don't mean to be insulting, but I think 'Mistress Managed' can be mainstream!"

When she's not writing or reading, B.J. loves playing games of all kinds (except mind games--though she's good at those, too); board, card, dice, and especially word games. She also loves jigsaw puzzles, but is very particular: The pieces must be thick and interlocking.

Her happy place is Vegas, but she is also happiest spending time with her puppies, daughters, friends… and anything involving chocolate.

I’m not sure how many will read this review, and of those, how many will understand my perspective on this erotic read.

I’ve read and reviewed many of B.J. Frazier’s novels, and have found each wonderfully entertaining, and truly “goodreads”.

This book, however, was different for me.

“Her Wish. His Command.” truly struck a nerve. No, more like it hit a chord that so strongly resonated with me.

Of course, such an impact can only be possible if the reader has had a similar experience. Guilty.

So, how can I objectively review this book?

How about I suggest that those of you readers of this review who have already been introduced to any form of power-exchange relationship absolutely need to read this work.

And for those who have always been curious about how innocent, inexperienced souls might find themselves involved in a power-exchange relationship, absolutely need to read this book.

And for those who never considered nor understood how people end up involved in a power-exchange relationship, you definitely need to read this book.

...and then, we all compare notes...

I don't generally read erotica as it tends to be stale and cliched.. and author B.J Frazier seems to agree with that. These are not shallow characters - we get to explore their vulnerabilities, insecurities, and - like every relationship in real life - there are stumbling blocks, as well as times when things don't go as planned.

No spoilers here, folks, but the seemingly mismatched Grant and Rachel have some obstacles in front of them and it won't be an easy journey. You'll have to buy the book if you want to see how well its crafted and the plot handled, but you'll be glad you did. (And there's plenty of steamy action along the way.) I will say, however, that character development is what makes for good erotica, and few do it as well as Ms. Frazier.

Five stars!

I recently had some downtime on a plane ride to Montana and decided, what's a better way to spend it than reading some erotica with a passenger elbow to elbow on each side of me? 🤣

I loved it!

Another book for my love-book-list. Romantic, hot, dominant with a fine twist at the end. B.J. Frazier created a wonderful love story about the perfect couple with steaming hot scenes.

The story shows us readers, that cheating doesn't always have to be a bad thing. The evolution of Rachel's and Grant's love has many ups and very few downs, but every down turns into another hot up at the end. I could easily relate to Grant in so many cases and started to dream of Rachel - the dreamgirl.

Like every B.J. Frazier book, there is a twist at the end, that made me smile and wanted to shout: "YES, YES!" I loved this book!

The guy gets the Domme he never knew he wanted. She gets the sub who adores her to no end. They love each other on their own terms. And before the HEA they have sensuous D/s fun. It's an enjoyable and easy read to keep your brain warm at night if your desires are in sync with the plot, tropes, and subject matter.

Her Wish. His Command. by B.J. Frazier is a lovingly erotic tale of how two young co-eds evolved an unorthodox sort of courtship into a loving female-led relationship. It's a story about the early days of discovering dominance, exploring kinks, and navigating the complexities of an open relationship.

Grant is an endearing young man, shy and awkward in some respects, but also more competent and mature than his peers. He puts a lot of effort into wooing Rachel, and sex soon leads to romance, which is something for which she's not prepared.

I loved the dynamic between Grant and Rachel, the way they learn and explore together, going from cowboy position on a waterbed to oral exhibitionism at the planetarium, to enthusiastic experiments with bondage and pegging. There's an air of doubt hanging over them, however, fueled by a jealous roommate who is determined to expose Rachel as a cheating slut. The thing is, he's not entirely wrong, and that forces the couple to have an honest, painful conversation about open relationships that threatens to drive a wedge between them.

Frazier does a wonderful job of conveying the emotional dilemma, guiding the couple through relationship dynamics that are new territory for them both. It's much more a female-led relationship than a female-dominant one, fueled by caring and respect, a sentiment that Grant expresses beautifully early on:

"But the way you tease me isn't condescending. It's more like it's, I dunno, banter. Like I'm a part of things."

Beginner stories like Her Wish. His Command. are all too rare in the genre, which is part of the appeal here. It's well-written and nicely detailed, with realistic dialogue and a sensual level of explicitness, populated by characters with whom we can identify, but you don't need to be an experienced fetishist to appreciate it.

Her Wish, His Command is the perfect mix of sweet and kink. It has the right realism about a real coming into their own between the two characters. They negotiate their relationship to fit their personal views and forget society's words.

Of her works I've read so far, this one is my favorite because I could get into the characters as imperfect, flawed, approachable people. It wasn't Hallmark-style romcom, but it was light-hearted and, as I said before, sweet. There needs to be more of that and less alphahole Mafia/Billionaire/Special Forces Dom storylines.

BJ Frazier does it again with her usual intelligence, wit, and understanding of the nuances of an FLR (female led relationship). And she does it without relying too heavily on the tropes of D/s relationships.

The dialog crackles, the main characters have excellent chemistry, the main bad guy is someone we'd like to see taken down a peg.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, please consider wearing gloves when this one hits your tablet because there's plenty of heat.

It's a typically well crafted story from someone who's becoming the go-to read in the D/s genre.

Another fun, breezy, sometimes kinky read from B.J. Frazier. This one is somewhat different than the others I've read from her so far in that no character is already deep into the BDSM world, these are more regular college students where one has dominant tendencies and the other has submissive ones. It's also a bit of a change from much femdom erotica in that the young male lead in this story is already somewhat romantically and sexually experienced and has some confidence from those past relationships versus the shy, uncertain newbie you often see in books of this type. It's actually rather refreshing, as is a conversation later in the book where the two leads talk about one or both having sex with others and with neither character already being versed in polyamory or Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM), or even explicitly mentioning those things. It would have helped them if they had known them, perhaps, but it felt more natural and realistic that they weren't there yet and were working through some of the same issues and feelings on their own.

And this is definitely not to say that there is no fun kink that occurs along the way, though, along with some light romance, devotion, misunderstandings, etc.

All in all a quick, fun read, without any heavy psychological or kink jargon, and a particularly good starter story for those new to the world of kink and female led relationships.

From the very first introduction of Rachel, all I could think was "where do you find a girl like this?" The casual dominance she exerted was enticing, basic conversations had an edge of authority on it, and it felt like she could get what she wanted out of anyone.

I felt really related to Grant, having been the doting boyfriend that was eventually cheated on. The cheating aspect had me wary, but it was written in such a way that didn't offend and honestly came across much better than any of my experiences of having been cheated on.

There was a perfect amount of sex, romance, femdom and some kink to really get engrossed in this book and savor all the exciting bits.

This book is a fun romance that flips convention on it's head, with the innocent, loyal, adoring young man falling for the promiscuous, sexually liberated and daring young woman. A whirlwind courtship occurs, with each individual learning a lot about each other, and themselves along the way. The couple learns a lot about themselves along the way. The book has plenty of daring and steamy sex scenes detailed throughout. This was a nice, easy read and a feel good story.

I just finished reading it and I loved it ♥️. The characters are deep and the story is very well told. it is a modern kinky initiatory tale where the two protagonists search for each other and obtain the answers.
I only have one question: what is this lobster mac and cheese ⁉️

I love how this book starts off vanilla and how Grant and Rachel build a real relationship before their sex life escalates into kink. Awesome read about two people being patient with each other and finding happiness.
