Ellis Leigh is an absolutely amazing writer who writes in an incredibly engaging way, that you feel like you are part of the story you are reading. The Feral Breed Motorcycle Club Series is no exception and here you get to know the Weaver sisters well.
Without telling too much, this is a spinnoff book with one of the Weaver's sisters, Amber. A story that really gave me a pleasure to read. Because it's probably one of the sisters I did not get to know well in the Feral Breed series.
The story engages you from the first page and the book is completely impossible to put down. To accompany Amber on her journey, in the land of death, to save her one sister.
I will say no more, read the book, you'll love it.

A unique take on Hades/Persephone! It’s always a unique experience to read a story about someone already dead. Amber is in her witchy afterlife and misses her sisters. When she reads in her cards that a sister is in danger, her perilous journey in the In-Between begins. She meets up with the Grim Reaper who escorts her to her end goal of saving her sister. Grim is scary, mysterious, and hot. He’s all alpha but definitely sweet in his own way. The enemies to lovers tension is a nice build up and I definitely felt the chemistry between the two. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it!

I’m slightly torn about this review. I enjoyed the story thoroughly, but it was so different from anything I’ve read by Ellis Leigh, that I’m slightly struggling right now.
If you like the sort of PNR that involves witches, shifters and the afterlife, grab a copy, sit back and dive in. You’ll love this book.
So Kiss of the Reaper is completely different than what I’d expected it to be. Amber Weaver who I remember from the FBMC is the MC and she’s just as fierce in death as she was alive. It’s somewhat fascinating to read this world of in between, the Summerlands, and that’s something I found captivating in this book; the realms that are basically the transient places for those who died but have yet to complete their death process.
Seeing a door in the Summerlands is tempting Amber to cross it and find out what’s on the other side, what is calling to her. When she sees a vision of her sister Scarlett, the fire witch (mated to Shadow, remember him?) dead on the ground, she is determined to head back and save her life. After all, she was the one to sacrifice her life for Scarlett’s, so she can’t let her die and have it all sacrificed for nothing.
When she crosses over, she meets Grim who accompanies her on her journey.
Now Grim is a thing in itself. He’s so very unique in what we would call the realm of in between. Traveling to save her sister, Amber is realizing all the dangers that lie in wait and she slowly gets to know Grim and his true calling. And what she means to him.
The story started off a little slow for me, it took me a bit to immerse myself in it, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down.

Ellis Leigh has done it again! In a return to the Feral Breed world she so lovingly created, Kiss of the Reaper has brought beautiful closure to dead witch Amber Weaver. Amber, so unlucky in love but so blessed with her family, is once again trying to save the ones she loves. This is her strength above all other powers, love. As she journeys through the Reversed to save a sister, she is confronted by the Reaper. He feels familiar to readers, much like Leigh’s other FBMC characters. He could have been a shifter in another life but we witness him here, in the grey in between. But he has a warmth about him. I did not want this trip into the Feral Breed to end. There were tears. There was hope. I must admit never since the fight at Merriweather Fields have I been so emotionally attached to a book. (Hint, the book I am referring to is also an Ellis Leigh FBMC book – Claiming His Desire.) If you have not read the FBMC books this can be a stand-alone novel, but you can go back to the beginning and read them all as well. For those of you who have read them, there is a surprise in the last few chapters as a connection to a beloved character arrives hinting at a future adventure. Ellis weaves words expertly creating a world I for one do not ever want to leave. The spells the witches chant feel real and powerful. I beg you run, do not walk, to your favorite book store and get lost in the Kiss of the Reaper.

Amber used to be a witch who could sometimes see the future, she's now, I was going to say living but I suppose I have to say existing in some sort of afterlife. She still reads her cards though and sees that a sister is in danger.
She, with the help of the Grim Reaper, begins trying to save her sister. I liked Grim, who although mysterious and scary manages to be both sweet and hot! I enjoyed the tension as she and Grim become closer, the chemistry between the two of them was palpable. I enjoyed this new take on Grim Reaper and Amber's journey into his world in order to save her sister. To find out if she does and what follows you will need to read this one for yourself.

Ellis Leigh gave the reader a thrilling paranormal romance read in Kiss of the Reaper. I have waited for Amber to find her lobster and now she has.

I remember crying when Amber died in the battle to save The Breed and thought there was something up with how & why it happened. The author takes on a wild ride exploring the other side & reinforcing the strength in family. The Weaver line is distinct in service to the Goddess & this seems a fitting way to offer some reward to Amber for all she's gone thru in her shortened life. There was an Easter egg left by a Hypnos comment alluding to why Grim is so taken with Amber, that could be a whole 'nother book to explore, LoL. This book is a perfect example of the strength in the authors writing, well done.

This was such a thrilling reading ride in so many ways. I loved getting back with characters from the Feral Breeds series (and while you'll love this story even more if you've read them already, this definitely is a stand alone story) but there's also mystery and a fab paranormal romance in the Hades/Persephone vein to keep you fully engaged. With the hints in the final chapters, I can safely say that I'm very much looking forward to the next book :D

When I begin a book I go in with an open mind yet try not to over think it.
This book was a wonderful surprise. The characters were perfect and the storyline refreshing.
With the hint of what might come in the next book, I'm eager to continue .
With that said, the short and sweet is that I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it to you!

I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever and Ellis did not disappoint with giving us what has happened to Amber since she danced with death to save her once red thread.

Great story
It is a good story and well-written, but not for me. I love all her feral breed stories and was looking forward to Amber's story, but she wrote in a different style. I do recommend it to find out what happens.

Kiss of the Reaper is a fantastic read. This book is unique, captivating and alluring. How far you go to save your sibling. I could not put this book down. Hands down the best read this year.
