As Country Music's Sweetheart, I'm taking the world by storm...until my boyfriend exposes my deepest, darkest secret on national television.
Now, I'm disgraced. A liar. A fraud.
And I'm officially done.
In a desperate attempt to escape Nashville and everything about my life in the spotlight, I end up at a horse sanctuary in middle-of-nowhere Wyoming. It should be the perfect refuge, but I wasn't counting on three tempting cowboys to complicate my life further.
Clayton is a big-hearted single father who insists he's too old for me. Beckett is a fun-loving ladies' man who never fails to make me smile. And Sawyer despises me on sight but keeps showing up to defend my honor.
I might be content hiding from the world, but there's no hiding from my growing feelings for these men who have a talent for saving me. If only I could figure out how to protect them from the chaos that follows a celebrity, fallen from grace.
**Love Notes is a series of interconnected, reverse harem standalone novels.
Autumn is a lifelong bookworm with a penchant for sarcasm. She loves cloudy days, fluffy dogs, and murdering succulents. When she isn't bringing daydreams to life on the page, she can be found behind the lens of a digital camera or binge-watching Veronica Mars.
I’m really vibing with this series of contemporary reverse harem romances. This one is about a country music star FMC caught up in a scandal, and the 3 cowboys who own the ranch (I mean horse sanctuary) where she is hiding out. Really cozy, small-town romance feel with likeable characters, and (importantly) distinct MMCs. There is both external conflict (mostly about Presley’s scandal) and relationship conflict (of the “I’m attracted to 3 men, what to do” kind), but the story is more about how supportive the characters are of each other than the drama.
I liked how we got to see the main characters navigate/discuss the new multi-partner relationship they ended up with. They all accepted it pretty quickly, but romance novel timelines I guess. Each book in the series deals with this issue a little differently, so it doesn’t feel like a rehash every time.
Sadly this book wasn’t my favourite in the series, but I did read it out of order and the next book (which I read first) has a little recap of Presley’s story. That didn’t spoil a major twist, but it meant whenever there was foreshadowing I was like “oh I know what that’s about.”
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Just wish I’d read the series in order for maximum enjoyment!
I'm loving this series of standalones that Ms. Reed is doing. Regrets, Presley fits so well with the tone of Scarlett with a likable and sympathetic FMC, lighter overall story, some sweet and supportive men, and some major feels. Presley is told in first person, single POV (Presley's). There's no ow/om drama, no virgins, and only general details about sexual history/length of time since last partner. There is a ladies' man hero and a widow hero, but both are focused on Presley.
I just loved this story and how Presley developed as a character while dealing with the fallout from a lie (that you slowly learn the background of), then the chemistry and attraction to three men, and trying to figure out who she is/what she wanted to do next. There's a supportive and hilarious BFF and an adorable teenage daughter of one of the guys that added some extra fun. There's also the mysterious songwriter who added more depth I thought as those details came out. Unfortunately, there's also the drama that Presley's dealing with, paparazzi, and all the pressure, including from her own team. We see some of the downsides of being a celebrity, esp one who's fallen from grace, but there are also some of the positive times included of loving the music and connecting with fans.
The men - I loved them all (there's a theme to this review). My favorite was Beckett because he both gets attention and gets overlooked/dismissed. Sawyer and Clayton weren't far behind though. Instant attraction happens with each of them, but the relationship development is really strong here. Lots of tension and some steamy times ensue. The guys have a horse sanctuary in Wyoming so there were some great scenes with horses and being out in the open. There is push/pull with both Sawyer and Clayton, more so with Clayton, and it made sense given their backgrounds and what was happening around them.
If you've read Scarlett XOXO (book 1 in the series), we get cameos of Scarlett and her guys, along with her BFF. Not gonna lie, I started re-reading Scarlett as soon as I finished Presley. But as nice as it was to see old friends, Presley's story was beautiful and unique and I was focused on how their HEA was going to be reached. There is some angst to get there, but I didn't think this was a heavy story. It has a sweet ending with a small jump forward in the future and hints of the next standalone, which I think will be really emotional and continue the theme of healing/finding yourself/gaining strength. I recommend this read so much.
I absolutely loved the first book. This book tho, I tried, but there were not many conversations between the main characters. There was a lot of inner dialogue and at the end there was a bit where she thought they did something and instead of talking or asking them she ran, I just can’t.
2 stars, DNF at 70% I don’t know, I just really wasn’t as into this book as I was Scarlet XOXO. I didn’t feel attached to the characters or invested in their story :(
I didnt think my favorite of Autumn's stories could be topped, but she just might have. Presley's standalone story is like neck and neck with Scarlett and I am SO HAPPY Autumn is making this a series of standalone romances. I absolutely loved this story, it was a breath of fresh air. I am excited for the next standalone, the end of the story does a good job setting up the next MC's possible RH love story ❤️
I was having a tough time before this book getting into ebooks (I am a huge audiobook listener) and I was having a huge book hangover and just kept picking up ebooks and nothing was holding my attention. Regrets, Presley was a needed palate cleanser and again, made me smile so hard (and giggle) and want to shake some people for their antics haha. It was a great mix of what you are looking for in a book. If you are looking for a dark romance, not gonna happen here. There are some tough discussions and there is a ton of angst and tension because of what Presley is hiding, what she is going through, and the cowboys that eventually steal her heart. I couldn't get enough of these characters, and I honestly kept dreading every time I looked to see how many pages were left that it was getting closer to the end haha. I seriously wanted to get up and move to this town and hang out with these characters (I promise I am not crazy haha) because Autumn made them feel so real and welcoming (except maybe Sawyer in the beginning!). I loved the family Presley created. I usually don't gravitate towards kids or characters with kids, but that got thrown out the window in this book. I loved all the side characters, Millie was snarky and made me laugh, Montana was a great addition to this story and I hope MAYBE in the future she might get her own story. Presley's best friend brought some fierceness of his own and levity into some tough situations.
Everything Autumn added was for a reason, it added more depth to this story. All the feelings, action, situations the characters were put into were realistic and relatable (I would love for RH situations to happen in real-life because of how amazing the end result could be!). No I can't say I understand what start would go through, but the way Autumn tells the story, we can totally understand and put ourselves in Presley's shoes and her loved ones that have to deal with her publicity and the backlash that can come from that. Even the baddies in this story were written well and believable, with how cutthroat they can be, how self-centered and self-serving. I could go on an on.
This book gives you all the warms and fuzzies, has a great ending, and the cameos from Scarlett's story was amazing. I won't give too much away, but if you don't read Scarlett XOXO before this book, you will definitely want to afterward. I hope these eventually go into audio, I know I will download them instantly (can you imagine how 🔥🔥🔥 the cowboys will be?!?!). Oh and I loved that Autumn pushed herself in this book, I loved the age gap with Clayton and Presley. I liked that they touched on the difficulties with that kind of relationship but with open and honest communication it became a non-issue. I love seeing the sprinkling of silver fox characters (even though I am now getting to the point they arent age gap for me 🤣).
5/5 stars from me, this book deserves more exposure that it is getting (like how Scarlett was previously). Now my big question is...I want this book in paperback but it won't match my Scarlett XOXO paperback because of the new gorgeous covers. What a conundrum haha 🤦🏼♀️.
Intro Despite being a contemporary, this book was nothing short of magical. I’m not the biggest fan of country music, but I have always admired the way country tells a story in a way no other genre does. And boy, did Autumn create a story here.
The Heroine Presley is a beautiful soul. She’s a bit lost at the beginning of this book; her boyfriend just revealed her biggest secret, effectively sending the career she’s worked so hard for the last decade right down the tubes.
While she finds refuge at King Sanctuary, she learns and grows as a character, learning to trust and open up her heart again. She’s so much more than her “spoiled girl” facade and I loved her from the start. She’s so down-to-earth and sick of the high-profile lifestyle.
The Heroes Clayton, Sawyer, and Beckett are super different but they complement each other so well.
Clayton is the oldest and there are definite “big brother” vibes here. You can tell he loves his brothers-in-law and they have a fantastic relationship.
Beckett is the fun-loving one of the group; the one who gets flack for being “immature” but he’s kind-hearted and sweet and always makes Presley laugh.
Sawyer is the stoic, difficult one. He and Presley butt heads immediately and I. Loved. It. Also, once he falls for Presley? Dang, it’s so good.
Bullet points *Montana is such a joy of a character. She’s fun and sweet, caring and empathetic. It’s hard not to love her! *The minor enemies-to-lovers trope was everything 😍 *I’m totally shipping Montana with Scarlett’s brother when they’re older. Whether this becomes anything or not, I just have to admit that it’s my ship, lol. *I can’t freaking wait for Evie’s book!! I think she’s going to be an awesome character to read.
Conclusion Please read this book. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance/reverse harem, you need to read this. I definitely recommend reading Scarlett XOXO first just because there are a few Easter eggs and cameos in this book that mean more when you’ve read it, but it’s not necessary to read to enjoy this book if you just can’t wait for Presley and her men 😉
Everyone loves a star. Even more, they love to see you fall. Presley was Country Music's Sweetheart. Until she fell. Her biggest secret was exposed and now she is the Country's Biggest Scandal. Desperately needing to escape, her assistant books her a stay at a horse sanctuary in Wyoming.
This book made my heart feel full.
This could be my entire review. It's my highest praise for a book. But I understand, you may need more. I love Autumn Reed. Her writing is flawless, intelligent, and well-thought-out. Her characters are always fully developed, their connections solid. This is Autumn Reed at her best. Until now Scarlett XOXO has been my favorite of her books. Scarlett now has a best friend. Regrets, Presley is EVERYTHING I want in an RH. Presley is accomplished, lovely, and sweet. She's tested and must prove her worth. Her men are delicious. Fun-loving Beckett who hides a vulnerable streak, grumpy Sawyer who has hardened his heart after being abandoned one too many times, and single dad Clayton who believes his chance for love is over and that he's failing everyone are each irresistible. Add in an over-the-top best friend /assistant, a charming teenager, and a secret confidante, and you have a cast of characters you can't help but love. The backstories, the character flaws, the reliability of each character created such depth. I was sucked into Presley's life from the first page and could not read each page fast enough. I was captivated; could not put it down. It's one of those books I just could not get enough of. It left me with a smile on my face and possibly a little jealous of a fictional character. As I said, it made my heart feel full.
WOW WOW WOW, what an amazing, beautifully written story!!! I literally could not stop reading, once I started and finished it at 2:00am! To me what makes an exceptional book, is 2 things emotionally did it affect me, the answer is yes, I was happy, sad, angry, joyful, excited, crying, laughing and so much more! Second am I still attached and thinking about the story, and missing the characters for sometimes days after I finish, absolutely. Presley is such a beautiful soul, with so much, love and passion for life and music and it clearly shows in the page as you read. Her journey is just everything, joyful, sad, fun, hard and definitely passion filled and to watch her growth and healing is beautiful. The Love notes series quickly became one of my all time favorites with book 1 Scarlett XOXO and this one for sure was definitely up to par for how brilliant a writer Autumn is!! So now let's talk about some YUMMY YUMMY cowboys, I am a huge country fan music and otherwise and I love me some tight jeans and a black Stetson ugh swoon, so this book checked all my boxes and then some!! What is it about a growly, sexy, alpha, protective male that just does it for me. Sawyer, Beckett and Clayton are definitely the icing on the cake to a great story. Throw in Montana and Gavin and it just all perfectly fits!!! I cannot wait for Everly story it's going to sleigh me I can tell!! Enjoy 💜
If you like your romance sassy and sweet with a side of sexy cowboys, then Regrets, Presley is the book for you! I've devoured everything that Autumn has written and this book was no different, completely captivating me with its lovable characters and engaging plot.
Imagine what would happen if Taylor Swift fell from grace and secluded herself at a remote west coast ranch with 3 single, hot cowboys. Well read this book and find out! Presley is America's Country Sweetheart and when a shocking secret is revealed, she recolates to Wyoming to hide away from the chaos. I love how relatable Presley's character is despite her being a celebrity. I found myself rooting for her right off the bat and enjoyed seeing her connecting with not only the MMC's but the side characters as well. This is the type of RH where it's not clear right from the start how the relationship dynamics will play out. Presley has her own, unique relationship with each of the guys and each develops at a different pace.
This is a fairly low-angst romance with very little conflict within the relationships, and just enough plot conflict to keep things engaging. If you are looking for a sweet but spicy RH romance with second-chance themes than look no further. Another amazing addition to the Love Notes world!
I absolutely loved loved loved this book!!!! This is my favorite book by author, Autumn Reed! One of the best takes on country/ranch living, finding yourself and forgiving yourself, and discovering love and happiness. I was hooked from the first page until the very end. Presley is so sweet and honest and tough. Her guys are gruff, charming, open, and loving. They are a perfect mix and a wonderful family. This book hits in the feels. I loved seeing Scarlett, Wyatt, Brady, and Carter again, and I really loved how these two books connected. I can not wait for Evelyn’s book and her happily ever after!!! I have a feeling it will be fantastic and definitely worth the wait! I highly recommend this book; it’s a must read!
These series are absolutely spectacular. I love RH and these made me love it even more.
I loved that the plot, characters and spice was all balanced. It was a great take on singer's retreat from downfall.
I squealed when I read that the 2 books crossed. I love that Scarlett and Presley met and started a label. I was so surprised that Scarlett had a TV show and I didn't even get it till the last episode when she told about her 3 men. I was like whaaaat?? OMG!! It's Scarlett! There's a crossover 😍
The relationship developed was absolutely amazing. I loved reading the interactions with each man. And it didn't hurt that the spice was great 🔥
I can't wait for Evelyn's story. I can already tell she's gonna be involved with Kings Gambit 😆

I was hooked right from the start. I love Presley and her fierce loyalty to those that she cares about. The guys are hot cowboys! Sawyer is standoffish at first, Beckett is the carefree one, and Clay is the older dad. There’s so much more to these guys then we see in the first part of the book. I really loved reading their relationships develop and change throughout the book. I liked seeing Scarlett and her guys briefly in this book but I really want more of Presley and Scarlett. I know they will show up in Evelyn’s book but I would love more of a glimpse in the future. I also would love to have some of the guy’s POV. Such a great read!!!
I loved "Scarlett XOXO" so I was super psyched to see that there was another book in this universe and "Regrets, Presley" did not disappoint. It was amazing to see Presley grow and change throughout the book as she is finally allowed to be herself for the first time in years, the sanctuary turns into a sanctuary for her and not just for the horses. I loved the relationship between all of the characters, it left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling in my chest and made me unreasonably happy. I totally recommend reading both books and picking up Evie's story when it releases.
If you haven’t read Scarlett, quit what your doing go read that and come back and read this! Regrets, is definitely a book for the ages. Presley’s character is so well written, her story is a touch sad, but her journey is amazing. Her lover triangle (lol square) is entertaining and swoon worthy. I am a huge Sawyer fan, started off loving Clay, but Sawyers energy changed and it was perfect. I was hooked from the start and I loved all the characters. Every character is unique and well written. Definitely an amazing read!
Definitely loved this installment in the Love Notes series! I simply loved how natural their relationship came to be... The author definitely did an amazing job of fleshing out all the characters and giving each character a unique voice. I especially enjoyed the writing in this one. I have read almost all of this author's works but I have to say this one was by far my favorite! Honestly I am really enjoying this particular series.... I was also very happy to see more of what's happening with Scarlett in this book. Would definitely recommend this as a must read...
Autumn Reed is one of my go to authors since I read the Stardust series and I simply love her contemporary books where she excels in relationship development. Insert Regrets, Presley where she does it again. I loved Presley! While she definitely didn't always act the way I would have acted in her place, it made sense for her as a character and I think the author did a great job showing us that.
I am so excited to get more books in this universe and I am very much looking forward to Evelyn's book!
I really enjoyed Presley’s story. Clay, Sawyer and Beckett and amazing! Three hot cowboys…what else could you need?!? Montana, Milly and Gavin are amazing side characters.
I love how each relationship grew.
Presley’s world was turned upside down but her life was changed for the better.
I enjoyed catching back up with Scarlett and her hunky men as well.
This book was soooo good! It was emotional and filled with tension. You couldn’t put it down! I could not stop reading. I love following Presleys story and watching her fight to find herself and become who she was meant to me. And I loved watching her relationships with the guys evolve. They all helped each other to find happiness. And I loved the ending! Can’t wait for the next story in this world!
This was a good rh. I loved all the characters. I loved the dynamic between the guys and I liked that it wasn't an instant rh. There were issues that had to be resolved. The only thing I thought was a bit lack luster was the reason for the big secret, it was a lame excuse to me. But the rest of the book was flawless. I know the next book is about Evie, but I am really anticipating Montana's story.
My heart really felt along with Presley. Country sweetheart that fell of the pedestal. I love the cameos of Scarlett but you don't need to have read that as the books are stand alone. I love that Autumn has listened to readers wanting a stand alone while it is still a series. The book touches you on an emotional level that i rarely experience in books but Scarlett xoxo did and so does this one. Hoping for more to come!
This book is wholesome, exciting, spicy, emotional and one you will struggle to put down once you start. I loved how these characters come together and their characters and how they bring out other sides of one another.
Presley and her boys, along with her family and some well known faces makes this story one that you want to delve into and become part of!
Loved this book. Loved these characters. The story is emotional, sweet, spicy, and had me laughing. It had me up late because I didn't want to put it down. This is one of Autumns best books. She keeps killing it and writing such amazing stories and characters. You will fall in love with these characters and won't want to leave.
This book was everything I hoped it would be. I enjoyed reading Presley's story. The emotional journey to finding her place, her people, and her love in music again was beautifully written. This is a wonderful set of books. I'm looking forward to reading Evelyn's story.
What a lovely story. Its every woman's dream, right? 3 Decent, attentive, not jealous, wonderful cowboys!!
Not as sexy as you'd think but enough because three guys would be too much....and this had a better story going for it (without all the sex). Sure liked how everybody grew and prospered. Nice!!!
It's been a while since I could get into a book well enough to finish it in a timely matter. Let alone one that captured my attention so thoroughly from the get go. The very first page had me hooked. I certainly wasn't expecting the twist! Through the ups and the downs it held me captive. I couldn't recommend this book any higher! I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Taylor Swift meets a hallmark movie and add in some spice. I really enjoyed this book. I loved all the characters especially Montana. If you love country music, Cowboys, small town, and not having to choose, then this is 100% the book for you.
This is lovely contemporary romance with the RH twist. The characters are well-written and the angst is there but not over-the-top. Can't write to read the next book in this series.
No star rating because I didn’t actually finish. I was loving it but got pulled away by a different story and didn’t resume. I absolutely plan to revisit this one in the future but I’ll need to start over
