A hot-shot corporate millionaire, a small-town divorced dad and his six-year-old blonde bombshell of a daughter share a Christmas to remember in this adorable holiday love story by bestselling author Dakota Rebel.
When I left Jackson after high school, I swore I’d never return. Why would I? There was nothing there for me but painful memories.
Unfortunately, the corporation I work for has tasked me with getting the local coffee shop owner to sell to us, so we can expand into the small-town market. Which is how I ended up back in my hometown a week before Christmas, surrounded by every person, place and thing that’s ever broken my heart.
And by every person, I mean Victor Rossi. The insanely handsome, popular jock that I dreamed about every night of my adolescence...and well into adulthood.
Seeing him again brings back every feeling I’ve spent the last eight years trying to escape. Except we’re both different men now and everything has changed.
I don’t know if I can forgive and forget the past, and he’s not sure he can forgive me for the present situation we’re in.
Where are those Christmas miracles hiding when you really need one?
I believe that love is love and it happens in a flash.
Whether it starts with action and adventure and adrenaline...or with just a glance across a crowded room. Happily ever after is never far away.

This was short and sweet and SUDDEN... but, that's OK, I am a firm believer that once you find your man and you know he is the one, then he is worth waiting for!
While this was a new author for me, I am not sure that this short story is the best book to be judging their work, so I plan to find another one and see how I feel about it. There were little things that quirked me about this one, for instance...
This line in the description makes me a bit uncomfortable...
... his six-year-old blondebombshellof a daughter...
I just feel that "bombshell" is not an appropriate word to be used when describing a six-year-old child.
There were a few sentences that were worded awkwardly and a few times that words just didn't seem to fit in the sentence or even the context that it was in. But, overall it was a heartwarming Christmas story that left me with a smile on my face! The double epilogues were just icing on the cake! *grin*
😍😍😍. This is a book you can't help but love. Duncan and victor were perfect for each other. I honestly was never a fan of m/m books but I have read multiple m/m by Dakota rebel and I really enjoy them now. I'm so glad i took the chance to read them or I would be missing out on wonderful books like this one.
Two young gay boys in school, its a love/hate thing with bullies thrown in too. They meet again years later, both still having feelings, good and bad, for the one that got away. I enjoy all that I read with this author, this tale was touching and sweet as heck, with some angst thrown in a little bit. A lovely read.
Absolutely all the Hallmark vibes. I'm a fan of Rebel's MM books, but this one really hit it out of the park for me. I enjoyed it so much. Loved the Melanie too!
