Sophie Roberts has dreamed of expanding her bakery, Buns-N-Beans, for awhile now. When a space becomes available, she jumps at the chance. However, the expansion puts her in close contact with her ex and first love, who broke her heart twelve years ago. She soon finds herself in a tricky romantic situation that could cost her a second chance and future with the only man she has ever truly loved. Landon Laferty has spent the last twelve years regretting the stupid mistake he made as an eighteen year old. Now, Sophie needs him to work as her contractor to expand the bakery she has worked her butt off in for the last ten years. Would he be able to make her realize that the stupid teenager he'd once been had become a loyal and trustworthy man, or would he push her running in the opposite direction? Meanwhile, the small town has bigger things to worry about when a young woman is found murdered on the bank of the river, and Sophie and Landon find themselves caught up in the investigation. Will the killer be caught before the body count rises, or will there be more victims while Sheriff Jennings works hard to uncover all the clues and solve the crime?
I loved writing book two in the Cotton Falls Series. I love Sophie's personality. Not only is she spunky, but she's also one of those people I would describe as being an "old soul". Happy reading!
