The Jesus Bible Artist Edition has an exquisite cover. I received a copy in Leathersoft Peach, with silvery page edges and two ribbons sewn into the binding for bookmarks. There's a beautiful painting on the Bible's cover that includes so many things that will speak to the reader; lions, lambs, a braided partial crown of thorns, grapes and vines, a manger, angels, and more. Inside, the Bible's text is printed in almost 9-point type on white, soft pages, which makes the words very easy to read.

This entire Bible is designed to point the reader to Jesus--in every single book, from Genesis to Revelation. Each Bible book begins with a title page that tells the reader how to look for Jesus there, such as "Jesus, Our Suffering Savior," in Job; "Jesus, Our Praise-Worthy King," in Psalms; or "Jesus, Our Promised King" in Matthew. These titles are followed by introductions to the Bible book , which include its timeline, key verse, and explanation of what the book is about. Sidebar essays and full-page articles by Christian pastors and authors explain more about what specific books and verses are about.

The result of all this bounty is a Bible that you won't want to put down. Regardless of where you open its pages, you'll find something that points the way to Jesus; something that will capture your heart, help you to know Him better, enable you to understand God and His ways. I've loved every minute in this book. I highly recommend it and give it five stars.
