Little Bear: Salvatore Brotherhood MC Book Two

Axel
She didn't deserve to be beaten and used to send a message to the Prez of The Brotherhood. I found her on our territory, unconscious and badly wounded, and felt my world shift. She needed me as much as I needed her.
But when we find a damning video of her going into enemy territory, suspicions arise, questions are asked, and loyalties are challenged.
Is Takoda Beck innocent? Has she played us? Or, worst of all, has she played me?

Takoda
What was done to me was something I never imagined would happen. To be used as a message, as a pawn, between rivals is something I thought only happened in movies.
But when I wake in the hospital, the mysterious Axel Salvatore by my side, I fall into a world of danger--his feelings for me are the only thing that will keep me alive. For now.
I'm innocent. But with the threats from both rivals coming down on me, I don't know if I'll survive.

Hi, I'm Haley Tyler, a dark romance author from Texas!

I’m the one behind the gritty Salvatore Brotherhood MC series and the dark paranormal romance Calling on the Reaper. My stories are filled with characters you love to hate and plots that twist and turn when you least expect it.

I’ve been telling stories my whole life, but I officially became a published author in 2021 with my debut novel, Killing Calm (book 1 in the SBMC series!). Since then, I’ve been living and breathing my dark, twisted worlds.

When I’m not writing, you can catch me listening to Taylor Swift or heavy metal (because there’s no in-between), binge-watching the latest TV series, or diving into a good romance novel.

If you’re looking for your next dark romance obsession, you’ve found it. Welcome to my world!

I’m so upset because i wanted to love this book as much as I loved book 1. But it was SO messy😫

For starters in the beginning Koda said she was in love with her ex multiple times but then the author never took the time to make the transition of her going from loving and being sympathetic to her abusive ex to hating him. It just felt poorly plotted.

Yes Koda and Ax’s relationship was very fast and crazy hectic but I love them together. Ax’s immediate need to protect and keep Koda safe…gets me SO GOOD🥹🥹 and don’t even get me started on how sweet he is with is daughter.

The thing that tanked my rating for this book was when Bash and Addie (Kodas “bff”) completely turned their backs on Koda. I mean in a way I understand Bash wanting too protect his club and his family. But Addie was just as bad as Bash! THEY JUST THREW HER TO THE WOLVES AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS THE ONLY OPTION!! Bahs threatened to kill koda bc he couldn’t trust her and then told Ax is he followed her that him and Skye wouldn’t belong to the club anymore. It was BS!

So after Koda gets taken and beaten AGAIN. And bash and Addie apologize (like just a apology. ZERO groveling) every acts like it was no big deal! LIKE HOW DOES THE AUTHOR EXPECT ME TO FORGIVE THEM FOR THAT??

I really enjoyed this book I thought the characters were all really fleshed out and I liked the interactions couple of things really bothered me though the book definitely needs to be edited there were a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes and I mean a lot. Now for the plot basic cyber/hacking looks first at IP addresses and if you're even half decent you would have found a discrepancy from the start. I know that it's part of the the whole plot but that was a little farfetched especially if you have a semitalented hacker that has been "working" for days on an issue with help. Another thing I was not okay with was the fact that even after Takoda had to go there was no protection for her...even to draw out the enemy or to see where she went. You would think someone would have thought about that considering they don't know where their enemy camp is. And finally I was not okay with what went down with the girls...listen I don't give a crap a girl sticks with her girls period. Considering Addie is supposed to "know" Takoda for a long time and that Takoda herself helped her through her worst times despite what was happening to herself, was just not okay. I don't care if you just have them lock her in a room or something, but to have allowed them to let her go knowing she was in danger was NOT ok. Heather was the only one to stick up for her and I know Addie has a little secret but even then what she did to that friendship was VERY disloyal and to be really frank that would definitely break most strong friendships if Takoda wasn't so forgiving. Addie should have known she had no where to go and no one to fall back on she basically handed her back to the enemy. It was a crap move and honestly I don't know if it should have been smoothed away so quickly especially when Takoda already has abandonment issues this would have honestly been a huge blow. Takoda has been abused and beaten and despite all of that they still accused her of being an enemy and I don't even think they ever found the rat in the MC. Also Takoda had enough money for an Uber which actually gives you all the drivers information before you even get into the car with a picture...I'm not sure why you you would get into the car then if you had bad vibes. Just saying was it even the same car? Who knows? I guess Takoda was just not in the right state of mind which honestly is the case through out much of this book understandably. I loved the interaction between Skyler and Takado...cuteness overload. Absolutely adored Axel! He was patient, kind, and so dang sweet without ever losing his BA edge. The ending is sweet and a little cliffhangery since I'm assuming in the next novel we will get to the bottom of who the rat is in the organization. I hope Kennedy gets her own book too because she was Bad A$$. Over all a pretty good book with some kinks.

This has some triggers which may upset readers but which I found made this story more heart breaking.
Koda is recovering from a vicious beating that was sent as a message to Bash's club.
Axel is glued to this woman's side all the way through her recovery even though they only met once before this.
He can't seem to pry himself away from the damaged little bear in front of him and his protectiveness is intense.
His very soul seems to have connected and she needs someone to ground her when the memories surface.
Unfortunately, there appears to be evidence of her betrayal and reporting to the enemy... Is she really a viper?
Will they leave her unprotected if the worst happens?

Another book surrounding the Salvatore brothers and their possessive nature appears to run in the family.
Axel is a caring, awkward, fiercely loyal and gentle giant of a man who somehow can't resist trying to anchor this woman.
During all of her panic attacks and even winces of pain, he is a constant immovable presence.
I adored his character in this story which made me quickly fall in love with the handsome biker.
Koda has been through so much and needs his strength which she receives in a bucketful from the start.
The plot was superb and the pace was brilliant with much drama, romance and emotion.

Koda has been in an abusive relationship with a member of a drug dealing gang. This last episode is the last straw. She went to deliver and have lunch with her boyfriend. Before she can leave his "new" job site, he has her dragged down and kicked. They drag her back to the building where she is kept in a dark room and repeatedly beaten by her boyfriend. When she wakes up in the hospital, she is done putting up with his behavior. Her best friends and their men are watching over her. Axel, a member of their MC is her personal bodyguard. They had met before but Koda had buried her feelings towars him. Koda is hurt when her friends and her men don't believe that she is a victim in this situation. She feels betrayed by Axel who said he would protect her.

Axel had strong feelings for Koda but he didn't act on them because she was in a relationship. When her badly beaten body is dropped off on their territory as a message, he is done keeping his distance. He will protect Koda from her ex and anyone who might hurt her. When his MC brothers are suspicious of her actions, he defends her. When evidence is planted that makes it seem she is working with the rival gang, he stands up for her. He promised to protect her but he is being torn between protecting Koda and caring for his little girl.

Takoda and Axel meet under the circumstances that may scream "never going to work".

He's a single dad that loves his little girl and for some reason he is attracted and protective of Takoda. She comes with lots of questions.

Questions of how much she knows of her ex and if she's involved with setting up plans to hurt his MC family puts him on guard. Not only for his MC family but his daughter and his own heart as well.

This story is dark but I was holding in tight and was falling hard and fast for Axel. Love the thrills and action along with the romance. It balances the curiosity, the mystery and characters perfectly.

My only complaint is the story ended. I wanted more and wasn't ready for them to move on without me. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

I fell in love with this world with Killing Calm and Little Bear has pulled me in even more!!

Little Bear is the 2nd book in the Salavatore Brotherhood series and is the story of Koda and Axe.

As we saw in Killing Calm, Takoda has not had a great life. When she gets beaten by her abusive, drug addict ex and Axe finds her, there is an instant connection. Axel stands guard over her and they grow close. He vows to get revenge for what they have done to her, but then things go a little crazy.

Ugh, I loved this book!!! I love Axe and Koda together and add Skye, my heart was melting!! They belong together! This book will have you feeling all the emotions and rooting for these 2! Haley once again has me hooked, and I cant wait for Lost and Found!!

The first book got me hooked and wanting to know more about the guys from Salvatore Brotherhood. My favorite part of the book will always be when I read the name of the title. “You can call me Koda” it means little bear! In Killing Calm we read about Axel and his daughter Skye. Everyone has a soft spot for Skye. Koda goes through something traumatic in Killing Calm and Ax since the beginning felt the need to protect her. I was looking forward to reading about them since Killing Calm. Ax will do what’s necessary to protect Koda from anyone even if it means going against the Prez of the Brotherhood. I’m looking forward to reading about Reid, Taz, Kiwi and Ryder.

Wow, a great storyline with lots of action, violence, fear, drama, drama, struggles, abuse, swearing, and plenty of steam. Axel finds Koda on the side of the road beaten and bleeding. Koda wakes in the hospital and see's Axel who is guarding her. The MC is very suspicious of her and are wondering if she's a plant from their enemies. He's very protective of her and they start a hot, steamy relationship. They have to fight their way through lots of misunderstanding but Axel is ready to lay his life down for his family and club. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

In book 1, Killing Calm, we are introduced to the main characters Axel and Takoda. I love how Koda's character develops throughout the book. After the things she went through, she comes out the other side even stronger. Axel is there by her side as she recovers and vows to protect her. I got a little frustrated with him for a while, but like all true heroes he redeems himself in the end. Love this couple and their story. I can't wait for book 3!

Received as an ARC and am leaving an honest review!

Such a good second edition...

📚 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Motorcycle Club

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Takoda has been beaten and left for dead by her boyfriend as a message for the Brotherhood. When they find her and rescue her, Axel stays at her side around the clock because he realizes she's his future.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗲𝘄: I liked the first book enough to read the second, and the story got much better. I love the characters in this MC, and the angst that Haley Tyler puts in her storyline.

Koda was a great female lead. Axel was everything I hoped for in a MC VP (and with an adorable little girl to match). The story moved quickly again, but it was a solid read.

Points off because of continued typos, and some plot points I think could have been expanded on. But I'm reading book 3 so it couldn't have been that bad, right?

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 3.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐

Loved this book! Great characters, well written story. Hopefully the errors are fixed prior to publication. This is the second book in the series. Axel and Takoda meet under bad circumstances. When she is kidnapped and left beaten Alex vows revenge! But before he can get that everything goes sideways. Can Axel protect Koda from her tormentors before everyone and everything is destroyed?

Fantastic Read - Couldn't put it down

This book was full of suspense, action, love and banter.

My Heart was in my mouth for most of this book and I wasn't sure which way things were going to go, loved the twists and turns. The writing style had me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down.

Axel & Koda had an almost insta love which I was here for. Add Axels daughter Skye into the mix and it was just perfection.

Cannot wait for book 3!

An excellent story as it brought some good laughs and tears that definitely hit all the right spots for me. Axel and Koda’s relationship is wonderful and Axel’s daughter just melts my heart with her honesty and love that radiates throughout the story. I also like that Koda isn’t as weak as her friends make her out to be because this girl can really bring out the fight and protect those who even turn their backs on her.

After a all too brief introduction to each other, Axel and Takoda find themselves very much attached to each other due to the severe beating she was given by because of her association to her best friends and their men. Axel is assigned to Takoda and finds himself reluctant to let go when the situation does not seem to be what it is. Axel takes his protecting Takoda seriously and protect her he will even if Takoda and the others disagree.

Sigh…. This book made me hate addie even more…. The way she turned her back on koda irked me. Heather the only one who had her back. Also, there was no transition of her falling out of love with her ex and into love with Axel. It was just instantaneous on both fronts, so you didn’t get any of the angst. The plot again was good but poorly written.

the turnaround time from them meeting to them being fully engaged is like less than three months which is crazy but other than that it was fine! once again, don’t read this expecting a Nobel Prize winning book. it’s fun! it’s spicy! there’s a major trafficking ring they have to destroy! i also like Axel and Takoda more than Bash and Addy so that’s a plus.

Where do I start? Second book in The Salvatore Brotherhood MC. You always hear or read about abuse women. You tell yourself why do they stay? Why do they take it? We’ll Hayley Tyler will not only make u read it but she will make u feel it. Koda struggles with her self. She always tells herself. they don’t know the real him the one behind the doors the one that loves me. The one that makes me feel loved. Now he toke it to far. Broken and beaten she lays in the hospital. Axel stay with her because the President order him to. But he never imagined that both of them needed each other. He will show her she is strong and an amazing person. He will fight with everyone even his President. To show they are wrong. Both learn that you are stronger when their is family behind your back.

This was a good read. It's the first book I've read in this series, but I had no trouble following it. There was action and suspense, danger and drama, compelling characters that bring out your emotions, and an interesting storyline. Well written and well paced. A sweet, slow burn romance. 4 stars.

This is a great part 2 to the series! I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. This book introduces us more fully to Takoda and Axe. Super slow burn but they had some issues to overcome first and I was there for it. There was laughter and some tears, but most of all there is love.

This book gave me all the feels! Little Bear is the 2nd book in the Salvatore Brotherhood and follows the story of Koda and Axe. Koda definitely has not had an easy life. Her abusive ex lands her in the hospital where Axe is told to stand guard over her, from there the relationship between these two blossom. I honestly can't decide if I liked the relationship development between Axe and Koda more or Koda and Skye lol. Axe is such a big softie and so cute with Koda. He helps to soothe her fears and protects her with all he has. They make for a very cute couple that you want all the best things to happen to them. However, I just cant get over the development between Koda and Skye! Seriously the cutest thing ever that had my heart melting! Skye is Axe's daughter who has been abandoned by her mother and has been raised by her dad and the MC. She immediately takes to Koda as a friend and towards the end is accepting Koda in ways that had me tearing up.

Such a well written story with lots of action and even regularly has our favorites, Addie and Bash, talked about! This was definitely more of a slow burn when it comes to the smut but when it does come its steamy and even has a little surprise on Axe's part (; That being said, go run to order your copy!!!

So so proud of you Haley! Such an awesome book and I cannot wait to read about Reid and Heather next!!

I love Koda and Axel, specifically Koda. She deserved so much better than she got from everyone else except Axel, Skye, and Heather. Literally fuck the rest of them for thinking she’s a spy and fuck Addie for not defending her when Bash was threatening to kill her. And fuck Bash for not really thinking Koda was a traitor but still talking shit and threatening her. I loved this book, aside from Addie and Bash. They could go die or something and it’d honestly be whatever. They were just as annoying if not more so than they were in their book. So many complaints about them and I have no idea how the author could write such a horrible book for the first one and then turn around and write this. A lot of improvement. I think Koda and Axel have a more genuine relationship and I love how they actually communicate. Fuck Bash for making Axel choose between what’s better for his daughter and Koda. He’s the reason Koda got caught and tortured again, and I despise that there were no repercussions for him or Addie. Heather was the only one to really express her feeling and call them on their shit, Axel did too ig which was good. Koda killed her ex, as she should, and I hate how Bash, Addie, and Axel tried to have like an intervention for her feelings. It made her feel weak and I think Axel should’ve been the only one to talk to her if he was worried. Bash and Addie are just fucking retarded and Koda is stronger than both of them, maybe not physically but definitely emotionally. She was tortured twice and she was abused time and time again by someone she loved even after he shot her. And she taunted him for it in the end. Koda I think was the perfect balance of sensitive and strong. It gave me great pleasure when Axel and Heather called Bash and Addie on their shit. Axel told Bash that he says he’s president all the time and that he would lose his shit if it were Addie in Koda’s position and the double standard of him not wanting Axel to defend Koda. Bash literally threatened to disown Axel and Skye if Axel went with Koda over staying. When Bash was literally threatening to kill Koda for no good reason. Heather told both Bash and Addie to fuck off and I love her for it. She called Addie out on not being a good friend and was rightfully mad at her. I wish there was more bad blood between them even tho I knew Koda was going to forgive them as soon as she was back. I like how it ended with Koda and Axel getting engaged and in such a sweet way with Skye helping to plan it. A good end to a good story and I’m excited to get Heather’s story next. But I still imagine I’ll hate Bash and Addie simply bc they’re so retarded.

Stop. Because I loved them so much. They were just them. And I loved every second of it. I’m biased but they are my favorite especially with baby Skye. Koda and Ax have my heart, they can keep it. Ax melted for Koda, watching her development and growth was so satisfying (I was very proud). Because we love strong men with their arguably stronger women (this duo makes the world go round) Motorcycle men that are really just softies on the inside is where my heart lays. With them I will forever be at peace, they will keep it safe

“But I’ll love you every day until my last, and even then, my soul will keep loving yours until eternity ends. I promise to make you smile every day, to make you laugh, to remind you how beautiful you are.
“I promise to dance with you under the stars, and to take you to see the ocean. I promise to never let you go, to never make you feel anything other than loved, and adored, and cherished, and protected. Takoda, I’ll make sure that you have the life you deserve—a life so full of love and happiness that you’ll overflow with it.”
She stares down at me, one hand covering her mouth, the other still in mine, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her chest shakes as she tries to keep her cries quiet.
“Will you marry me, little bear?” I hold my breath as I wait.”

I don’t write a review for every book I rate but this book, damn I have a lot of feelings I need to express after reading it.

I am a survivor of an extremely abusive relationship & I think the aftermath of it all for Koda was extremely well done. The tug-of-war, the anxiety, the heartbreak within herself... it was very well done. I’ve read books in the past where it’s not believable or nowhere near accurate but I respect the author for how she represented it.

I think Ax was utterly perfect for Koda. The chemistry, the understanding, support, & love the two of them had was *chef kiss* amazing. Then adding Skye, she was the icing on the cupcake (pun absolutely intended) this little family had me smiling, laughing, & down right crying at some points.

This story was dark, intense, & the TW should be taken seriously. I did not read the first book in this serious & I believe this is the first book I’ve read from this author but my goodness it was amazing. I will definitely stay with this series till the end.
