A thoroughly enjoyable book from the series about the Roshaven thief-catcher force, a group of disparate magical beings united by a love of tea and cake. Each of these books can be read on its own but is much more fun if each is read in order with the characters and situations developing. This story introduces the Spirit Ghosts, who maintain the gap between the living and the dead. They rely on magical bones to carry this out but these have been stolen. It is up to the thief takers to retrieve them or the Spirit Ghosts will destroy Roshaven. The story reaches an exciting and satisfying conclusion, with just enough questions at the end to suggest that another episode might be in the offing.... I hope.
Absolutely loved jenni! Such an amazing little sprite, the way magic was talked about an how different Jenni is to her father norm, two completely different people, I'm glad momma k raised jenni right!
In the fae world, different folk live and work together pretty well. This is a story of the Thief Catchers. These are the facts. The Spice Ghosts bones are missing. The world is in jeopardy. What is a Sprite to do?
The bone thief by Claire Buss. The spice ghosts bones have been stolen? Who is it? Can Ned Jenni Willow Griff Fingers Fred Joe And Sparks find them? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love this series. I loved Rose too. I hope there is more to come. 5*.
The powerful and forbidding Spice Ghosts are descending on Roshaven and accusing one the top thief catchers of stealing some of their most sacred items. Jenni (the accused), Ned (her boss), and a team that includes their dysfunctional fathers need to figure things out quickly because the Spice Ghosts are threatening to destroy the city and are more than capable of doing so. This adventure takes us deep into Roshaven and to new lands full of danger and mystery. We also meet our most devious and dangerous villains yet. As with all her stories Clair Buss gives us a wild ride filled with unexpected creatures good and evil alike.
In this third book in the Roshaven fantasy series, the Spice Ghosts’ bones have been stolen. A series of people are found to have had them at one time, but even though the Spice Ghosts accuse Jenni of stealing them, they ask chief thief catcher Ned and sprite Jenni to find them. A series of adventures, with their fathers, Ned’s new wife and others, eventually leads them to a final confrontation. Jenni, my favorite character in the series, has to make decisions mostly concerning magic. The danger in this one is heightened, increasing the tension from start to finish.
The spice ghosts bones have been stolen can the gang find out who stole them because Roshaven is not safe. We meet Jennies father who is completely different from her. Another great book I really enjoyed it.
This author takes the adventures of Ned and team up a notch in this novel. Definitely a great read for the spooky time of year. Your favourite Fae in peril, get ready to meet the witch!
