Oddly Concerning is a book of sci-fi microfiction. It's a perfect book to tuck into the corners of your life for a quick hit of humor, horror, and uncanniness. These forty tales will haunt you far beyond the time spent reading them.H. W. Taylor is the author of The Unique Miranda Trilogy, The Yangalese War duology, and the short story collections Progeny and Rupture.
Flash fiction and microfiction are not easy to craft and many authors fail at the attempt. H. W. Taylor succeeds in almost every entry in his collection.
Some of the stories may not entertain the individual reader, but be of good cheer. The next one will almost certainly delight and amaze.
Both weird and microfiction, this short collection just hasn’t resonated with me. YMMV, though, particularly if you're looking for something more experimental.
