The following content contains coarse language, crude humor and should not be read by anyone. Not for the faint of heart, easily offended, or those who don’t appreciate the F-bomb.CrypticSarcasticTo the point (eventually.)Nicolette is at it again! This isn’t your average self-help book. In fact, it isn’t a self-help book at all, more like a messy slew of words and past personal experiences that have been typed and formatted into a comedic side quest. These stories and passages might possibly help the reader learn about the daily pandemic of thinking that we need to fill our lives with mindless, materialistic possessions. That if you’re not happy and receiving recognition or gratification that you’re a failure. A book about happiness and the lengths we'll go to make ourselves miserable trying to get a taste of it.
I Need Dis… is an interesting book that takes a deep dive into our psyche and why we rely on things and other people to make us happy.
Fuller’s insight into a myriad of topics all revolving around our emotions was a lot of fun to read. Quite a few chapters really had me thinking, especially the topics of friendship and love.
Although I do think a few points were repeated and her conclusions even contradicted at times (for instance with the car story) I enjoyed this book a lot!
This is a book which explores what we truly look for in life and why we do this but isn't designed to be a preachy self-help book but is instead the author taking a genuine look at their own needs and wants. This is a funny and well written book that only has a little markdown due to a few editing things but I genuinely did find this to be a worthwhile and interesting read and one that is very much worth the price and is a simple, short read that will get you thinking.
A very enjoyable read with all the sass and sarcasm. I Need Dis highlights so many truths and supplies so many laughs. I enjoyed this from beginning to end!
