Danny’s debut book will keep you engaged until the very last page. His descriptions of a country devastated by war will leave readers stunned by this rollercoaster of a story. This is a definite must-read for history buffs and veterans!

Heart-wrenchingly hypnotic!

Danny’s story paints a profound picture of what special forces soldiers often endure during times of conflict. This story is overwhelmingly emotional from beginning to end as the intensity builds and the battles transpire. It’s a story of perseverance through the trials of combat and is an authentic account of what secret missions often entail. I loved every aspect of this book, though it was often hard to digest some of the gruesome details. But this is what war is often like, and this is the account of someone who isn’t afraid to share the silent horrors of what true-life battles are all about. This book shows us how little we know about the unspoken atrocities our soldiers often face and speaks for our fallen comrades who will never have the chance to share their own stories.

As a retired Army combat veteran, this book not only describes the horrors of combat, but the bonds we create with our brothers in arms. The ability to describe this bonding is what drives this book throughout from beginning to its climatic ending. There is no stronger bond than what develops between soldiers in combat and the knowledge that they will always have your back. This book describes that eternal bond that is created by combat. I highly recommend this book and its description of battle and the close bond created in times of trial and the horrors of combat.
