An ex-convict with a vendetta. A grumpy warlock with a shattered heart. Jason and Nolan are an ill-made match but fate disagrees.
Alpha wolf shifter Nolan is determined to get to the bottom of his brother’s death. His investigation leads him to an elusive coven of white magic users in Moon River. To a gorgeous warlock named Jason. Nolan and Jason don’t mesh. Nolan’s just been released from prison. Jason’s prim and proper as they come. Jason has no business with someone like Nolan, but Nolan finds himself drawn to the generous and selfless warlock.
Jason’s a warlock who’s sick of being second best at everything, including love. Fate must have an ill sense of humour when a badly injured werewolf Alpha appears at his doorstep. When Jason nearly kills himself to save his wolf, he realises he’s in for a world of trouble. Nolan’s spent the last five years in a steel cage. Freedom calls to him. Jason doesn’t want to force Nolan to put down roots. He also can’t bring himself to get too close, because Nolan might end up hurting him for real.
Moon River Mage is a M/M paranormal romance with an unapologetic and gruff Alpha werewolf and a heartbroken warlock who doesn’t believe in fated mates. It is set in the Exiled Pack series universe. There are no cliff-hangers or cheating, and a HEA is guaranteed.
Really enjoyed the story in this book. Some of the execution could have been better. Here is hoping book four will be more like book two and less like this one.
I am pleasantly surprised by how invested I became in Jason’s happiness. He wasn’t an overly likable character for me in the previous book, though I liked him better at the end of Moon River Rebel. Nolan seemed like the perfect match for him. He needed someone to come along an ruffle his feathers a little bit.
Nolan was an absolutely lovable character. You feel for him when he arrives to Moon Burrow looking for his brother fresh out of prison. You want him to find everything he needs. What he ends up finding is a mate. As the story evolves, I found myself really wanting Nolan and Jason to reach an equal footing where they each didn’t feel like they were holding the other back. I can understand Jason’s trepidation at not wanting to tie Nolan down after 5 years locked up. Jason really wanted to the best for Nolan; he just needed to realize that he was what was best.
I am truly enjoying this series. This book seems to set up vast possibilities for future books, as we meet several different characters from the Grizzly Reaper MC and are left with the impending arrival Lee’s injured brother. We also have Dom and Riley finding their mates to anticipate as well.
Overall, this was a book of found family, redemption, love and a happily ever after that was sweet and earned. I looked forward to seeing what’s coming next.

Jason is a powerful mage that comes from a wealthy, privileged, but callous family. Choosing to join a coven, he and the others, heals for other paranormal beings in need. Nolan is a powerful werewolf shifter who hasn't had much good luck in life. While in prison, his omega brother died. He later finds out some horrible news. Nolan ends up in a nasty fight and is badly injured. He ends up on the doorstep of out prickly mage and his coven. On the surface, neither were right for the other. But they turned out to be the perfect match.
This was the story I was the most intrigued about, so far. Jason was the most mysterious and frankly, seemed the most angry. What I did not expect was an outsider as a mate. Despite their obvious differences, both characters came from homes with one or more, unloving parents. The only bright spots for them were their siblings.
We were also introduced to the Grizzly Reapers MC. I hope to see a spinoff for them in the near future.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book Nolan have just got out of prison and he was on a mission to find out what had happened to his brother Nate. He had got a frantic call from him but he couldn’t help Nate while he was in prison now that he had been released he would do anything to find his brother. It bought him to a gang of shifter bikers. The grizzly reapers MC, Where he found that his brother was pregnant and he left to go to the coven for help. But he didn’t get out of the MC scot-free they gave him one hell of a beating how he managed to get back on his bike and get to the coven he had no idea but he made it to Moon River coven house where he met Jason who was a warlock. Jason couldn’t help but help the werewolf shifter who was nearly dead, who appeared on their doorstep. He couldn’t get over the feeling he was having about him and wouldn’t let anybody help. Nolan knew straight away that Jason was his mate but before he could do anything he must find out about his brother. He was out to get answers and get revenge for what happened to his brother. I really like Nolan, he was a grumpy shifter but he do anything for Jason. I really like the interactions between them and the banter. There is something extremely exciting about these two and I Was quite amazed at how my judgements changed about the MC. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind while describing this book is:... wild. Considering that I read other series before where those two appeared, I would've said that they are so cute together, and they're so peaceful... Oh, boy, and here comes this book... And I couldn't have been more wrong. I was like, "Am I sure, that I'm reading about Nolan and Jason?" They are exploding together. The sparks fly, the tempers fly... But they are definitely made for each other, and I loved them very much. But I was a bit shocked tbh because in those other series they weren't so BOOM, but they also weren't the protagonists, but they seemed so... Maybe mellow is the wrong word, but I'll go with that. Nolan was protective in the other books, but here he's VERY protective. And after reading their book now, I'm not that surprised that in other books it said that Nolan went everywhere with his mate when he was helping other people with his abilities. It's possessive AF, but somehow for me, it's really endearing... So yeah, I really enjoyed this book, although there were some mistakes, mostly at the end with names, but in context you could understand whom the author had in mind. And it was definitely too short! There were like, only 17 or 18 chapters where other book were around 25/26, so I was a bit hungry for more of them...
Pairing raking: 1. Nolan & Jason 2. West & Ollie 3. Lee & Caden
I was real excited to learn that the third book in this series was gonna be about Jason finding his true love and happiness. He was real stuffy and arrogant in the last book and I wanted to see how he would be once he gotten "bit" by the love bug. Now after reading this, I can see why he was the way he was...his previous home life and parents(horrible people) were to blame. . So glad he made the choice to live and work with the coven. He really is a sweet mage and it shows when he helps and falls for the big bad wolf Nolan. Nolan had so many personal/violent issues that a regular person wouldn't be able to handle but Jason is an entirely different breed and he doesn't care...he sees how wonderful Nolan as a person is and oh yeah...Nolan is his mate(smiles). Nolan knows how uptight and snooty Jason can be but all he sees is an adorable and cute man who he is lucky to be mated with. These two gives a reader all kinds of feels with their romance and I loved how they got to know each other even though their connection was instant, there was no big rush...communication was key with them but some misunderstandings had a way of working on their happiness. We get those issues worked out and have a lovely HEA for the guys. Can't wait for the next one in Moon River to get mated. Nice!

I expected Book Three in the series to be about Riley or Dom but instead, we got a story about Jason, a warlock with the Moon River Coven that we saw in Book Two. Jason is tired of being alone but doesn't believe in fated mates. He is a healer and finds a werewolf near death who he is instantly attracted to. Nolan has come to Moon Burrow to find answers to what happened to his brother before moving on. He is hot-headed, lands himself in trouble and has to seek out the local coven to save his life. He never expected to find a warlock who immediately becomes his whole world. This book is shorter than the first two in the series and I think it suffers a bit from that. Both Lee and Caden's and West and Ollie's stories, being longer, gave us more time to see them fall in love and become couples. This was quite rushed by comparison, and I would have liked a bit more of everything - their attraction, their getting to know one another, their time after their mating. I did enjoy the story and liked seeing some of the town's residents as well. The next book is Dom's and I'm definitely looking forward to that.
Families found can help when needed most. Nolan, wolf shifter is recently released from prison. His mission is to track down his brother, Nate, from whom he received what he considered a distress call. He got directed to the Moon River Coven in Moon River Woods, who were said might help Nate. Nate confronted Venom, who had a relationship with Nate, but was not the cause of his latest misfortune. Unfortunately, Nolan confronted the Alpha, in his spot, in front of all his MC brothers. Oops! That impetuous act, is gonna hurt. Jason, is not valued by his wealthy priviledged family. He joined Malachi's coven and became a healer. He wanted love, a mate and longed for the bond. Jason and Nolan were polar opposites. Their meeting was a bit abrupt. Their courtship was complicated and filled both with happiness and complexities. This was a fun read. You are happy for Nolan and Jason's solutions to their lives. Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series. I'm fascinated in these romances between wolf shifters and the members of a white magic coven. This story is about alpha wolf shifter Nolan trying to find out about his brother who told him he needed help while Nolan was in prison and never heard from him again after that. When released, he tried to track him down. He got a lead, but was severely injured. He managed to make it to the Moon River Coven House before collapsing in front of a mage his wolf is convinced is their mate. Jason doesn't believe in mates, but can't deny the attraction and immediate pull between him and Nolan. Loved this story. The story caught my interest and attention right away and I liked the characters. Looking forward to the next book in this series. 5 stars.
I’ve been looking forward to Jason’s story and I wasn’t left disappointed.
Nolan wasn’t like the other wolves in the pack. His wolf was always just beneath the surface; ready to protect, defend or even avenge. He had guts walking into the bears den.
Jason was grumpy and reserved but being around Nolan made him more down to earth.
Jason and Nolan were sweet together. I enjoyed watching their story unfold.

Another great story from this author. Nolan is a wolf shifter, ex-con who goes looking for his brother and gets attacked by a pack of grizzly shifters. He ends up in Moon River where he is found severely injured by Jason, a wizard and healer. The moment they meet, the attraction is instantaneous. They just have to get to know each other and show each other they will always be there for each other. A truly sweet romance I highly recommend reading.

Alpha wolf shifter Nolan has just been released from prison and begins to look into his brother’s situation. Nolan ended up in a fight and was badly injured. He made his way to a coven of healers in Moon River and fell into warlock Jason’s arms.
These two are nothing alike and should not have gotten along, except for the fact that they were actually mates. They did not have an easy time of it, but Fate is persistent. Will they accept each other? Are they willing to become the mates they were intended to be?
Rushed story. The world building was just not there. As with other books in this series: the grammar, punctuation, sentence structure - it is really bad. Present and past tense was repeatedly mixed up throughout the story. The story read like it was unedited fan fic. If the author reads these reviews, I hope she takes action in future books to get a decent proofreader or editor. For every book there are the same type of these reviews, yet subsequent books are still written the same.
Why are these books having so many mistakes in them? Wrong words, wrong names, the name Gary has been used in all 3 books without having connection (Gary the Shepard dog, Gary the one who died because of Zakael and now another Gary in this one.) And also the name Patrick was used 2 times in the series (Patrick, Caden and Lee's baby and now Patrick Fox). How is Fel Fern making little mistakes like this? Did she have a fight with her editor? What about beta readers? Also, I wanna know more about Wyatt, please don't tease about character and not give him a book of his own.
Nolan is an ex con looking for his pregnant omega brother. Jason is a white witch who heals Nolan after Nolan is savagely beaten and near death. Even when he's hurt, Nolan knows Jason is his fated mate. Jason feels the pull too but worries that Nolan will leave and he's afraid to give his heart. But never fear Jason, fate has you both in its sight. This book feathers many characters from previous books in this series and a few from other series that are set in Moon River or nearby.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nolan is searching for what happened to his little brother. He gets into a fight when he confronts Nate's ex and barely makes it to the Coven house where he meets Jason, his mate. Jason saves his life. It takes them a bit of time to seal their mating but there was no doubt about them being mates. I like the characters of Jason and Nolan.
I loved Jason’s and Nolan’s story I actually love this whole series and I will be sad if it’s the last one. Nolan gets out of jail after 5 years and he goes looking for his brother which is sad news but what Nolan didn’t expect was to find his mate in Jason. There is so much more going on in this story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I am really enjoying this series. Jason finally gets his mate in this story. Nolan has been through so much and he wasn’t expecting to find his mate while he was looking for his brother. These two were so perfect for each other and I liked seeing a glimpse of the other characters.
Moon River Mage is another excellent book by Fel Fern. It's the third book in the Exiled Pack series. I loved Jason and Noland. I felt for Noland when he found out what happened to his younger brother, Nate, but I was glad that Jason was there for him. Nolan is looking for answers and for freedom, Jason doesn't believe in mates and just wants to heal people. One look is all it takes. Will both accept what they are to each other?
I loved seeing this tough Alpha become a completely different man with his mate. I didn't blame Jason for accepting everything with the way his family was, but loved his healing and nurturing personality. Good read!

I loved this story. It was good to see Jason in love and no longer pining over Ollie. My problem is the editing, more the lack of editing. Missing words, grammatical errors, even mixing up the characters names, ie, Diesel vs Axel. That’s why I could only give it two stars, the lack of proper editing took away from the very good story.
Still trying to adapt to a shifter worldview where only some shifter enhancements are typical and violence is a staple. The storyline development is good enough to keep me reading, even though I’m not heavily vested in the series. This book ends on a positive note, and leads the reader forward.
Good addition to the series. Liked learning about Jason's past and family dynamics. This couple got their HEA with both being strongly motivated to have happiness.
Nolan is never easy! But then neither is Jason. Together they make the best kind of pair, the kind that can find love in the midst of trouble. Love it!
This is a good read. The storyline was easy to follow and enjoyable to read. The characters are perfect together and I loved there ending. Can’t wait for more.
I really loved this book just wish it was longer as it finished abruptly. Definitely an emotional rollercoaster. I cannot wait to see what happens next
Jason gives Ollie a run for his money in the prickly department!!! Having glimpses of Jason in Venom’s series it is intriguing to see how it all started.
You don't believe in fated mates. So why do you have to save his life?
I love Moon River! From the white magic coven, to the wolf pack, to the MC, the characters are so well thought out that they feel like old friends. When Jason finds a dying wolf in the coven driveway, he is compelled to save him. Not just because it's his job as healer, but because of the connection he feels to Nolan. Nolan, who announced Jason is his mate. Watching these two men discover each other, fall in love, and have really hot sex is a joy. Past secrets, family angst, and a marriage proposal to remember. Ooh, you are gonna love this book! Do yourself a favor... read the previous books in order. Time. Well. Spent. I can't wait for the next book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
