MARTYRS is the third book in the suspense-filled, post-apocalyptic TRIBULATION series. Order your copy today! Jamie Lee Grey is the author of numerous Christian suspense novels, including the Band of Believers series, the Daughter of Babylon series, and the Tribulation series. She lives a quiet life with her husband in the northwestern United States.
But sometimes it was easier to know and speak the truth, than it was to actually trust and rely on it.
Well... with a name like Martyrs.. I was expecting a totally different ending. Im not sad about it though. What a great ending to a simple, yet profound series. I liked the idea of this series and what it stood for. I didnt agree with every aspect of it, but I respected it and it definitely makes you think about things.
I think Grey will now be a go to author, just because I like the way she weaves a story. Each book in the series had me hooked from the beginning. I actually cared about the characters and wanted to take this journey with them. Looking forward to more books by this author!
Such a wonderful story! Great characters and filled with our Lord. This series will surely bless you. Enjoy a well written book. Wish the story continued.
Tribulation series by Jamie Lee Grey Saints, book 1 Sinners, book 2 Martyrs, book 3
Genre: Christian Thriller & Suspense, Christian Sci Fi
This series follows a group of Christians who are forced to run from the government. Citizens are being forced to be microchipped in order to continue with ‘normal’ day to day activities. There is no longer any religion recognized other than the one declared by the world leader. This small group of survivalists must venture into the wilderness and depend on the strengths of each other to get them through.
Each of the books immediately follows the other, like a television mini-series. I thought this was a refreshing approach by the author. The story plays out to be more romantic suspense than anything else. I really enjoyed getting to know each of the members, especially the two main characters Grace and Maxwell.
In Saints, book 1 - members are just getting used to one another and suspicions rise. The many dangers in the wilderness begin to show themselves.
In Sinners, book 2 - Grace begins to feel the group has found their rhythm to their daily survival, but not all plans are God’s plan.
In Martyrs, book 3 - members are on the run again, the government’s reach seems to be getting closer. Will God reveal his plan to them?
The last book, I had expected all to be martyred but it was a pleasant surprise that I was wrong! I like happy endings. Altho, during times of tribulations, there's no guarantees. It gives hope tho. The greatest hope of course is Jesus taking the saints home before the tribulation. I'm not a pre-trib rapture believer. Christians in America has never experienced tribulation like other countries like China, the N Koreans & all of the middle east. Therefore, I think our faith isn't comparable. I believe some of us will have to become martyrs to be refined in the fire so we will be spotless & pure. It will definitely be a huge challenge to not love our lives more than laying it down for the One who did for us.
after running for their life's , the band of believers gas found the!selves in a cabin , what would lie ahead of them ? Jamie Lee Grey sets forth with some of her best writing to bring their saga to an end. What happens to our favorite survival crew as they run from those chasing them ? their faith and perhaps yours will be tested as real-life meets scripture and the words we trust from His word become the only things we can hold.unto . A brilliant complete series once again
This was SO good, I actually cried through many 'scenes.' Of course, I can't tell why because it would spoil the story' s situations. But, as one who loves reading a great book, and have even written five of my own, I can assure you that you will love this book three. Read it and weep! Enjoy!! Now I'm off to the next series. (Sue) p.s. Allan is reading this series too. (And he is enjoying them, too.) We both love end times truth with fiction stories.
I read all three books in this trilagy but I dicided to leave a review for only this book, even though I liked all three in this series. I am not of the belief that Christians will go through the tribulation although there will be many people that will be saved during that time; this is probably one of the best Christian book series I hav read about what will happen in that time. I loved the mentions of the trumpet judgements and the seals even though the bowl judgements weren’t mentioned, there was a lot of persecution and destruction and I really enjoyed the many references to the Bible.
I chose 5 stars, this 3rd book of the series is well written. Max, Grace and JESUS came alive in front of my mind' eye. All the ups and downs of a Christ led life popped out to me, showing my short comings of Faith. The beautiful characters intertwine GOD'S love and puporse into every day life, now throwing in the end times where the Evil One rules. Not for the weak of Faith, might get your toes stepped on.
Just average days for our merry band: snitches, hail stones, government men, thunderstorms, coywolves, meteors, lack of food. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Will it end? Will they ever get a break? Yes, says the Lord, I have a plan. For these Christians there is a happily ever after just might not be the one you think. Great job. Thank you. P.S. I wish it wasn't "The End."
I enjoyed this series. However, I also learned a lesson. Make sure all books in the series are available. I waited several weeks for book three. I was not disappointed in the story or characters. They were well developed and I watched them grow and mature. Ten people, adults and children not related all to each other became a real family.
Sorry to say this 3rd book in the series was disappointing. Instead of focusing on the end time story, it became a love story, which I wouldn’t have minded, except it turned our heroine, Grace into a distracted, fearful crier. She could have found love and stayed strong. I think she cried three quarters of the story.
I couldn’t stop reading. I had read the first two in the spring and had to wait for this one to be ready and I was not disappointed. It’s amazing how Christians recognize each other as Alice and Max did. The adventures the group encountered keep me hoping and hoping and wondering but it was well worth the read.
The characters grabbed my heart in unexpected ways. Without gruesome details the violence and danger had my complete attention. I have read many End Times books but this series was among the best that I've read.
I really enjoyed this book it was powerful and uplifting ,Jamie i can't wait until the next one it open your eyes to what we will be living in the next couple of years But we stand strong and never give up God will be by our side Thank you God and may God bless and keep you Jamie Grey keep writing ☺☺😊😊😀😀
American believers seem to think we'll be raptured before the tribulation...but what if we're wrong? What if running is our only option, that or die! I love looking at the end times through the eyes of other believers things may not end the way we think. As with Lot's wife we aren't to look back.
Anytime is the right time to Find heartache and love.
Martyrs is a great story in spite of the sadness and heartache that each character has to endure. The support and timing that can only be a part of God's plan is amazing. It encourages and up lifts the reader. I will be happy to recommend the series to friends and family.
Wow. I just finished reading all three books. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to order and read the other books. I love how the author made God the center of every chapter. He is worthy to be praised. Thank God for such a wonderful gift of writing. God is good.
I really enjoyed this series. The quoted scriptures had me searching and reading my Bible. No repetitiveness which I find annoying. Only other issue was Grace's character...rather wimpy, I felt she could have had a stronger personality. Overall excellent though. I look forward to reading more from Jamie Lee Grey!
If you are a Christian the characters in this book set the perfect example of how God wants us to depend on him at all times. Well done! Taking place while the Tribulation is in full motion makes the fictional end of the world story very interesting and the use of all the verses of scripture reels you in so you cannot put the book down.
Jamie Lee Grey is one of my newest favorite authors. Her story line development draws you in from start to finish. Once you begin reading, it is so hard to stop reading, wondering what happens next!
Have to say I’ve read everything still far I can find it this writer. I anxiously wait for her books that never disappoint. Good clean writing that reminds me to Always trust the Lord no matter what.
I just can't get enough of Jamie Lee Grey ! Her stories about end times are a favorite of mine . They are clean, inspiring and full of edge of your seat suspense . Don't miss any of them !
Although I wish to know what happens next to this small band of Christians its heartfelt ending wrapped up all the loose ends beautifully. Praise be to God!
I’ve read the complete Tribulation but found this to be just as thrilling. I too am I naturalist and found the survival parts to be true and just as exciting. Definitely I want more of Jamie Lee’s writing!
All's well that ends well. A very fitting end and hopefully they will live happily ever after. And, the best part is that there should be no more trials and tribulations. The book series was wonderful but I am still a premalineialist. To you, be prepared.
Surviving in the tribulation is tough, but with God’s help, they can make it through anything. This trilogy has a great ending! I’ve enjoyed all this author’s books!
I really enjoyed this series and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. These stories really do make me wonder what will happen in the future. I highly recommend it.
Who will survive to the end. Now that their hideout was compromised they flee over the mountain and meet trial upon trial. Meteors, storms, hostile and guards are pursuing them. A great read.
