Rate this book
We all have our demons, but some women have a warlock and an angel too…

Cal’s really not having a good day.

She convinced her lovers, Travis and Max, to leave their safe house in Montana and fly over to Budapest to save someone, but it was a trap.

And her relationships haven’t exactly been harmonious since Max found a new lover and Travis got a little too hot and heavy in the bedroom.

Now she’s tied up, she’s only got a handsome, weakened angel for company and she needs all her energy to defeat Seth Shaw once again.

Can Cal summon her lovers, escape from her binds and fix her love life before she comes face to face with her nemesis—or has this angel fallen for good?

This was the first story that I have read by this author but I really enjoyed it. I did not read the first story in this series but now I will definitely go back and check that one out as well. Cal is with Max and Travis, her two lovers and they are being secluded so that they can remain safe because of events that happened in the previous books. Cal starts getting dreams of a woman begging her for help and decides to go and try to find her. While there she gets trapped and meets an angel who says he is a fan of hers. They both start losing their powers and she has to some way get in contact with her lovers so that they can come save her. This story was exciting, steamy, and contained a lot of paranormal, which I really enjoy. I'm giving this story four stars instead of five because Max, Cal's lover keeps sleeping with other woman. Cal says she doesn't mind but she does and that's a fact I don't really like about the story. I can't wait until next book to see what happens with the new angel that is forced to join their group. Definitely a really good short, steamy read.

This is my completely impartial review.

Continuing where book one left off, Cal, Max, and Travis are living quietly and peacefully in Montana and have pretty much adjusted to life acting as human as possible. The only problem now-- Cal keeps having dreams that lead her back on a dangerous path and to a new interesting love interest.

I think it's safe to say I didn't enjoy this installment nearly as much as I enjoyed the first one. While I like the trio and I liked the direction of the plot, I found a lot of what was happening/being said to be rather repetitive. There were also moments I felt like should've been put in book one (some things with Cal's heritage and its importance for example). I also hated the whole Max and Isabelle thing, I felt like that was kind of thrown in there especially when it wasn't completely clear whether or not Max would stop sleeping around based on the conversations in the previous book.

I don't know, I just wasn't really feeling how "long" this book was compared to the first one when there wasn't necessarily much going on. However, Suriel was a nice addition and he seems cool so I look forward to seeing what role he plays in book three.

Cal is jealous of Max deciding to sleep with someone else and Travis wanting to sleep in his own room. Cal makes a colossal mistake of leaving them and trying to solve her problems alone. You are taken along for the ride as she has to accept that she isn't invincible and needs her men. This was a good read.
