When everything has been taken from you . . . all that remains is a cold & calculating vengeance. Some hearts never stop bleeding . . . they're forever SCARRED.
This book will grab you and not let you go until the very last page is read. It moves along at a great pace which makes for an enjoyable read. The characters are unique and you want to know more about them and cannot help but fall in love with them and a story that will not let you down, no matter what. This book has to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.
Valtus and Kacie’s story is fast paced action packed Sci-fi entertainment. Kacie is fiery, strong, determined, and resilient. She’s the one woman who can bring Valtus to his knees. I enjoyed watching him try to fight their connection. Also, his reaction to her human slang had me cracking up. This is a great series!
First off, Can I have a Braxtharian Warrior and if so where can I find one? Like seriously, I really love this series. It is a touch on the dark side so if you have triggers you may want to read carefully. It will touch on some issues. Secondly, Valtus and Kacie where made for each other. The moment Valtus hears her screams, it was over. However, Valtus seems to think that love is not in his cards. It is so weird how the attraction is there and how he just happens to be around when Kacie needs it. Don't count out Kacie, even though she has been through hell, she is a warrior in her own right and will rise. You really need to read this book or series. I love this series with the tough women, and sexy silver warriors. I want more asap.
This incredibly thrilling and excitingly written second book in the Braxtharian Warriors series is a great read. Although this is the first of this series that I read and normally don't like science fiction, I am sold. Great written Nikki. The characters were well defined. This story has action, adventure, betrayal, twists, love, romance and of course Aliens. This is a mustread from one of my favorite authors. I can't wait for the next one in the series. It was so good I couldn't put it down. I am happy to recommend this book.
A sci-fi series with some dark moments that lead to finding and falling for the one for you. The dark moments are the pasts that both the main characters have. But it does help to bring them closer together. Kacie was kidnapped and sold by aliens. Valtus is part of a group trying to find human women that have been taken. Kacie is a tough woman and fights with both her mind and fists. Valtus from the start is a sweet but broken male. Danger is around every corner for them and their friends.
This is book two in the Braxtharian Warriors series and it’s absolutely amazing! This book was incredibly well written, with an intriguing and fascinating plot, and the characters were wonderfully fleshed out and likable. I loved Valtus and Kacie, and how their story unfolds. They were perfect together. An intoxicating sci-fi romance and one I highly recommend.
I absolutely loved this story about Kacie and Valtus. It was thrilling, intense, action packed but filled with such sweetness it made my heart full with joy.
Valtus has an instant connection with Kacie and he knows right away that she was made for him. He may be a big, strong, sexy alien but deep down Valtus has a huge heart and he treats Kacie like she’s a queen. These two had me completely captivated with their passionate story.
I loved every second of this story and I can’t wait for more.
Such a great series. This one has it all...action, romance, great chemistry. These characters are so great together and you know they belong together from the first meeting. I love everything from this author and this one is no different.
This series is amazing. There are characters you can’t help but love and a story that holds on and won’t let go. Valtus’ and Kacie’s story is my favorite so far. I can’t wait to see what else Nikki has up her sleeve for this series.
I'm not usually a reader of alien books but this one surprised me. I loved the storyline, the pace of the book and if course the characters. Scarred will.hook from the first page and won't let go until the end.
Omg! Second book in this series and I'm floving it, although I'm sad a little bit for what happened to these two, but they won't give up, They're gonna keep moving forward to have a beautiful life. I wanted to help them get justice myself even though this is fiction, this is how much author Nikki Landis have me hook, now I'm anxious for the next book in the series, well done.
First, I have read a few of Nikki's books and love the way she writes. This book is no different. The flow and the pace at which the story unfolds is wonderful. The characters are real and believable, and they work nicely off each other. If you haven't read any of Nikki's work, you should. She captures the audience with her stories and characters. I loved this book and will recommend this one. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi romance and I have friends who will definitely like this book. Can't wait for more.
I am in love with these warriors and the world Nikki Landis has built. The story mixes with humans and aliens in a way I didn't expect. The protective nature and devotion to the Braxtharian warrior's mate are intense making this the perfect romance. It just happens to involve hot as hell alien men and it works perfectly.
Ms. Landis continues to entertain me with her variety of romance genres. Red Recommended Author
When I first started reading this book, my heart nearly broke for both Valtus and Kacie. Do you know the kind of hurt that just leaves a knot in your throat? Yeah, that's the one. Her story moved so quickly and with such emotion as the plot wove through that set off other emotions. But the chemistry between these two was absolutely amazing. Each fought their own personal demons and yet they have such compassion and loyalty to those they deem worthy. Not only that, Fate had to have her say, and they are each the one to the other. Fighting the injustice of what was happening from within the Conclave has set off a chain of events that left me mesmerized. I can't wait for more to come!
This is the next in the series and it's another great read. This one is a fast paced page turner that even has some twists. Valtus and Kacie have a fantastic story to tell. The storyline is well written with great characters. It's a must read.
Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This book did not disappoint like all of Nikki Landis books they all have so many emotions that you go through while reading. He was scarred but not broken and she was going to make him realise that.
This beginning of the book followed the first so impeccably close that it felt ...like I had already read it. Then the story started and it had me laughing out loud, being pissed off, it got a little info dumpy midway but the end crushed me. I really loved Valtus. Kacie was perfect for him. But his back story, I knew it was going to be bad, but damn...I am so glad the come-uppance was so satisfying. Ghorm was horrible, as was Krol. Read it for yourself. Good series, can't wait to see who is behind all of the madness. Again thanks for the glossary, had to refer to it once or twice to get the time meaning straight. Ready for more! Review by Who She Reads
Wow book 2 has just as much impact. This love story revolves around two souls with broken paths. She is fiesty and puts up a fight and he wants to rescue her and keep her safe. Come along and be transported to another universe and learn so much. I received this book for free and am voluntarily leaving a review.
3 1/2 stars - Good escape from reality despite some scene discrepancies
This is the second story in the Braxtharian Warriors series universe by Nikki Landis. While this could be read as a stand-alone, I suggest it be read in the order recommended by Nikki Landis. At the time I am writing this (June 2022), the universe contains one spin-off (D.R.A.R.B. Penitentiary) to be included in the reading order. This is to enable maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers, as there are reoccurring characters and overarching themes.
This is a darker themed PNR series and contains scenes that may be difficult for sensitive readers. I included high-level examples below for anyone interested. While I try not to list any spoilers, there may be one or two if you haven’t read this or the previous story yet.
This story had a good pace and was a quick read. I think this whole series has potential to be more than what I have seen so far. The plot line and characters are fine and still entertaining, but somewhat predictable.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good PNR and find them a good way to disconnect from the real world. They might contain similar acts and evil men, but I know by the end of it they will all get their just rewards. I just think this could be great and unexpected, which I have come to expect from Nikki.
The main issue I had is the differences between the same scenes in this story and the previous one in the series. I only noticed it because I wasn’t where I could leave a review after reading Vindicator and decided to start Scarred iso waiting. The two share a concurrent timeline starting with Cryton (the latter part of the first story and the beginning of this one).
I liked the characters of Valtus and Kacie, thought they had good chemistry, even with the insta -love / -mate elements. I just couldn’t get past the differences and found myself looking for issues throughout the entire story. This made it really hard to get immersed within the story, so I had to give it a lower rating than it otherwise deserved for this genre (Alien PNR w/ abduction and human/alien trafficking).
I made notes on some of the incidents, as well as some grammatical issues, and uploaded to Goodreads for anyone interested. I like to shares issues / errors such as these for ‘visual readers’ such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

4&1\2terrific 🌟s for Scarred: Braxtharian warriors 2💖
Valtus, is second in command on the Vindicator warship they have been rescuing human females that were stolen from Earth and sold into slavery. His commander found his own life mate in a previous rescue mission. On a new mission they've rescued even more women but they continue to go threw level as to make sure they've not missed anything when a scream is heard. Valtus runs forward and finds a woman he thought too be dead the sister of his commanders mate. Kacie Hargrave the minute he sees her he knows something in his life has shifted for all time. Kacie has been held against he will and abused for months but she is still alive just when she thought all hope was lost a silver Braxtharian bursts in and saves her from attack. The minute Kacie sees Valtus and the way he defends her she feels safe in his presence. Both are battling demons from traumatic events and they find strength in each other. Who is abducting human women? How are they doing this? And how many people in power are in on it? This is a story of redemption , vengeance, and healing love a great addition to the series I look forward to reading the next in the series. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Lots of action and romance. Valtus saves Kacie from slavers and has an immediate attraction to her but he doesn't think he deserves a female in his life due to his past. When Kacie is first saved, she also has an immediate attraction to Valtus. When Valtus leaves to find more evidence on the slavers, Kacie stows away then they are both shot down but Valtus saves the day again. Once she finds out about his past, she thinks he is the strongest warrior ever. There were a few places where the characters were mixed up and typos but it didn't affect the overall storyline.
I'm not sure how this has such high reviews. I read and liked the 1st book but this book was exactly the same just names changed. 75-80% of this book was copy and pasted from the 1st, literally word for word. If you read the 1st one you already know this, if you didnt go read it & pay attention. Its quite obvious so you cant miss it. It was very disappointing. Im going to guess the 3rd will be the same.
Wow. This was full of pain and suffering and two scarred people trying to deal with their painful pasts. I felt so sorry for Valtus and Kacie, those two went through it. But by finding each other, they also found a way out of the trauma and darkness. Krohl showing up on the Vindicator was a shocker though…Their HEA was very well deserved and I’m just happy that Ms. Landis didn’t going into graphic detail of what they went through.
Valtus and Kacie both have experienced darkness in their lives, but meeting each other gave them a reason to find love and happiness again. With some dangerous situations to endure and some quick action, can they make it through to the other side and get their HEA? I loved this newest book of the Braxtharian Warriors' world, and I'm excited that there are more to the series!
