Never Again is a heartfelt and emotional romance that really dives into the messiness of love, trust, and second chances. From the first chapters, I felt pulled into Amanda’s journey, her pain, her determination to guard herself from being hurt again, and the fierce independence she clings to as a shield. It’s a story that feels raw and real, especially for anyone who has ever tried to heal after heartbreak.
Ethan was such an intriguing character for me. The fact that he’s a widower with his own emotional scars adds layers to the story. I loved how his relationship with his little boy becomes the bridge between him and Amanda, it felt tender and genuine, and it softened the intensity of the more fiery moments between them. The chemistry between Amanda and Ethan is undeniable, but what makes it compelling is that it isn’t smooth or easy. Their connection is filled with tension, vulnerability, and resistance, which made their eventual bond feel earned rather than rushed.
Okay, so I picked up Never Again because a friend told me to give it a try. At first, I wasn’t sure, but it turned out to be a pretty good read. I actually cried at a few emotional parts (not ashamed to admit it!), and honestly, I got annoyed at some of the stuff the main characters had to go through. If you’re into paranormal romance, this book checks all the boxes—lots of tropes, drama, and a bit of fun. Plus, the main female character has the same name as me, which made it kind of special. The plot isn’t anything groundbreaking—just two stubborn people fighting their feelings and eventually falling for each other. There are some heavier topics, but the author handles them pretty gently. If you like werewolf stories, I’d say give this one a shot!
Never Again follows Mandy and Ethan on their journey to accept a second chance mate and trust each other after heartbreak. Trigger Warning: There are 3 instances where characters are raped. The actual rape is not described, but how the character looks and feels afterwards is described. The plot moved quickly, which was refreshing for this kind of story. No chapters filled with inconsequential shopping trips and such. There was a plot hole that confused and frustrated me the majority of the story, but didn't prevent me from finishing the enjoying the rest.
Author has a good starter but so similar to many other books already out. She is a pay by chapter author . I advise any readers to stay with kindle or another format that doesn’t cost you more then a signed book to read.
