Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.
She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?
Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🩵🖤❤️💚 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: ☹️☺️😍😄 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The Hero:Ezo - he is from an alien race called draci, and his civilization is dying. He is so excited to be one of the first males of his species to have undergone the transformation and gets to take a shuttle down to Earth. He lives on a ship that is orbiting Earth, and his people have come up with a plan to use genetic manipulation to make themselves look human so they can go down to Earth and impregnate human females. They are still over 80 percent draci, but now have some human DNA, their scales have turned to human skin, their faces are now shaped like human, and they can go into human society and integrate while keeping their secret.
The heroine:Ana - she is one of Juliet’s best friends from My Alien’s Obsession. She is a college student and techie who gets in to all the conspiracy theories on the dark web. Her most recent one was that there were aliens among us and were planning world domination. Though when Juliet falls in love with one of the draci, she changes her mind about what they are doing on Earth. She has always felt not good enough when compared to her younger sister. She wants to be special for once, so when Juliet and her mate Shak, ask for Ana to meet the shuttle when Ezo comes to Earth, with some potential mates for him, she agrees, but doesn’t bring any other girls and presents herself as his mate when he arrives.
The Story: Ana wants to ensure that she gets pregnant right away and can cement herself as Ezo’s mate before he decides he wants someone else. Though Ezo is happy with her as his mate. It takes her a while before she really believes that she is the one her wants. This book gets steamy early on and is even more so with the fact that the draci have dual appendages and the fact that mates can feel each other’s pleasure as well as their own.
Like the first book in this series, this was a shorter book, at about 130 pages. The story was good, but not great and nothing completely original. Though I did like the fact that the series takes place on Earth. Ana’s father always compared her to her beautiful and perfect younger sister and she was blamed for things she didn’t do. Her younger sister slept with Ana’s boyfriend and is now engaged to him and expects Ana to attend the wedding. Her self-esteem is not great and when she doesn’t get pregnant right away like Juliet had, she fears that she will lose Ezo.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux. They both have nice voices and are decent narrators, though aren’t in my list of favorite narrators. They do a decent job, Jake speaks in a way with pauses that works well for an alien just learning the language.
My Alien's Baby has so many emotions, love, chemistry, and twists that you can't put this book down until the very end. Moreover, what an ending it is.
I loved both of these characters when we met them in the first book, even for how little we got to interact with them. Ezo is a strong male that knows he wants his mate. Ana is the one that chooses to be that mate. These two are a great couple they have a lot to get through first.
Evo and Ana have the opportunity to mate and create their own kit but it doesn't seem to be happening no matter how much they try. This alien story is full of love and happiness and some extra appendages. Stasia Black writes such interesting and page turning stories!
Ana has a great idea to take her life into her own hands and throw herself at an alien. Little does she know that to Ezo, she is exactly what he craves and he is never letting go. This fast paced, super hot read, takes off right where the first book finished. Great book and great series!
I am loving these Draci Alien Romances, the Draci aliens have a purpose and nothing will stop them. Ana has been tasked with screening potential mates for the next Draci to mate with but she has her own ideas about who it should be, her! As soon as Ezo walks down from his space ship, the connection between he and Ana is instant and their mating begins. Only best laid plans and all that, it doesn't work out quite as planned. Ezo and Ana connect and are really perfect and Ezo's excitement at having pizza and chocolate, things he's only read about is fun to experience with him. How can they ever stay together if Ezo's goal is to get Ana pregnant isn't working? There is also a secret uprising scheme going on that could put a kink in all the planning to re-populate their species too. You have to see how the ideal couple rise above all the roadblocks to their HEA and what happens next when Giselle meets her fated mate.
It was nice to get lost in the Draci-Alien world for the afternoon!
*****SLIGHTLY SPOILER-ISH*****
Ezo & Ana were super-cute & sexy together, even if I wanted to stuff a sock in Ana's mouth whenever she put herself down for not getting pregnant right off the bat. Besides that annoying trait of hers, I really liked her. She was unique, fun & I loved how stoked she was about all things Draci-Alien. As for Ezo, I absolutely loved him. He was devoted to her from day one & would do anything to protect her & stay with her forever. Damn, this whole MINE! mentality of the Draci men is HOT. *le sigh*
Excited to see what happens next in this world! Bring on even more Draci babies, please!!
A great continuation from the first book, I enjoyed Ana and Ezo's story a lot. I got that he was excited about finally being on Earth and having a mate. Ana is complicated, but I still loved how she found a way to survive her awful family and was brave enough to do something for herself. There are some really great scenes in here, where even though they had sex-at-first sight, they worked through their relationship bumps, and her self-doubts didn't kill it before it had a chance to flourish. There are some good ugly alien scenes because Shak has gone some viral haters that carried over from the first book, and I can't wait to see what happens with Gillian!
Okay, so I have concluded that this series is very strange and weird.. but I kind of like it. I mean the first book got all crazy at the end so I was thrown off with the wings and everything. However, now that I have read the second book. I feel like I can understand the series better and appreciate its sci-fi and fantasy undertones. I liked Ana and Enzo. I kind of wish we had more bonding moments between the characters. I mean they kind of just said hi lets mate and then that was that. However, i enjoyed it. I can’t wait for First and Giselle. That is going to be interesting. I would give this a 4.3
—>>> Ana’s long obsession way-too-out-there theories and the like have now come to a full realization due to her bestie Juliet now being the Queen of Draci. She will take charge of her fate and make her dream come true, mating with a real-life hot alien named Ezo. Volunteering herself for the mating act is certainly the easy part, though she has no idea what she really is in for on the other side. Another great story in the series, which ends on a good cliffhanger.
I wanted to see Eso explore Earth with his curious nature and find his mate and go through the motions of what he thought were the correct ways. It would’ve been hilarious to see. But the fact that it doesn’t turn out that way and within minutes of arriving on Earth he’s bedding the 1 human that meets him? This story revolves more around human drama than with the Draci storyline. It wasn’t bad, just could’ve been a lot better.
Another fantastic story for this series, I enjoyed this even more so than the first book! Ezo and Ana are great on their own, but when they're together they manage to bring out the best in each other. This particular story isn't overly long, but it's still plenty sexy and has quite a few comedic moments and hilarious banter!
Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to adult language, steamy adult intimate scenes and violence such as fighting, sabotage, etc.
This is the second story in the Draci Alien series. While it could be read alone, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers, as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline / theme.
Ana and Ezo meet when she agrees to vet some potential mates for the next Draci to complete his transformation and travel to earth to find and impregnate his mate to help save their dying race. Ana told the queen that she had 3 women lined up for him to meet, when in reality, she was the only one.
Now Ana is desperate to become pregnant and afraid that Ezo will realize that she is not enough. What will happen if she does not become pregnant the first time they are together like her friend did? Or the first week? Or the first month? Will Ezo leave her? Put her down like others in her life have?
I don’t want to accidentally provide any spoilers so I am going to stop here.
Plot: Ezo is fascinated by earth culture and has learned as much as he can. When he is chosen to find his mate on earth, he's excited, and when he arrives, he finds that it's already been decided for him: his mate is Ana. Ana has been organizing some of the meetings, and she has decided that she really wants a Draci mate, and so she arranges for her to be Ezo's mate. The goal, though, is for Ezo to find a mate who can have his baby, and Ana is having trouble getting pregnant. Will Ezo have to find a new mate? No, of course not, but how will they solve their problem?
Character development: Ezo was adorable! He loved learning about earth so much, and the chance to experience it himself was almost too much! Ana is similar in that she really wants a Draci mate. They were equally eager to experience each other, and that made the chemistry a little more heightened.
Part of a series: Yes (Draci)
Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes
I loved this book and although Ana and Ezo get their happily ever after in the end you are left wondering what will happen next when you read the epilogue that's about Ana's friend Giselle getting upset with her supervisor, walking away and getting in her car to cool down but ends up getting kidnapped by Thrax Shak's half brother and the book ends there. If you were to visit the author's website you'll notice that there is mention of a third book in the series called My Alien's Beast but it says coming soon below the name of the book. I don't know if and when the book will be complete and published. I'm hoping that if it is it will be about Giselle and Thrax.
I think my favorite part of this book is when Ana finally understands herself. I mean the hot alien dragon is super sweet and loyal to the bone, and Ana has had a hard life for all the advantages that should have been hers, but there was that little bit of fear between them both. Until they both learned what they were willing to fight for. The author kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story, and I love that we got to see more of the king and queen, but when she added in the little taste of danger it took my breath away. This book was absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to see how the next story continues to unfold.
✓ Dual pov's ✓ PNR ✓ Fated mates ✓ Dragon alien x Human ✓ Entertaining plot - 2.5 / 5 ✓ Mature language ✓ Fast paced ✓ Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶. 5 / 5 ✓ HEA
Ana is assigned by her friend Juliet to find potential mates for the next Draci, but Ana wants to take her life in her own hands and has the greatest idea: throwing herself at an alien.
As soon as Ezo lands on Earth, the connection between them is instantaneous. Ana's plan is to get pregnant, but it doesn't work out as planned. Ana thinks she is not good enough for Ezo and her insecurities overwhelm her. Ezo doesn't want anyone else but Ana and will fight to keep her by his side.
Plot: 2.5/5 - The plot in this one wasn't as strong as the first book.
Romance: 2.5/5 - Again, I didn't really relate and things were extremely quick. Seemed a bit transactional and unnecessarily secretive at times.
Steam: 4/5 - Several good scenes.
It's possible I'd reread this one (it's my 2nd reread as it is) but so far I'm liking the recently released 3rd book the best (@ 67%).
Stasia Black is typically hit or miss for me, this one was almost a hit but was missing a few things to make it great. I'm generally open to giving this authors books a read.
I loved this story! Ezo is such a fun character, his eagerness to come to earth and experience all things human is so endearing. Ana, eager to experience all things alien, was sent to meet him and was Meant to introduce him to a few women that he might choose a mate. But she didn’t bring anyone, she met Ezo with “hi I’m Ana, your mate!” These two are perfect for each other!
These books are exactly what they "say on the tin". If you're looking for sweet yet dominant alpha males with hot scenes and most importantly BELIEVABLE love story! I only started reading Stasia Black books yesterday, already finished 3 and I'm desperate for my next fix. Not one of them disappointed! Can't recommend enough!
I read both of the books in this series and they’re great. I couldn’t put them down- very sexy and funny at times also. I definitely recommend reading the first book first. I can’t wait for the third book to come out.
This was a fun quick read continuing from where book one ended. Ana and Ezra definitely had different issues and fun personality quirks. I really liked that they had a unique path and issues overcome to be together.
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
My Aliens Baby 5 stars These aliens are hot! I love how Stasia has written these aliens they seem human but don’t understand everything as yet. With good characters and a fantastic chemistry I really enjoyed the storyline. The performance was brilliant.
I stopped reading in Chapter 3 because they’d had sex by Chapter 2. She was asking if she was pregnant on Chapter 3. I like a book to build up to the story not start somewhere in the middle. I want a little romance.
This was cute! 😍 I love the insta love! I also love that the FMC in this story has some troubles getting pregnant. I like that it's real and relatable in that sense. The MMC is adorable!!! He is so attentive to her and trying to understand her. I can't wait to read the next one!
