Fan fiction or not, if something is the length of a book, I’m counting it towards my reading goals. Also, I’m not going to hide any longer - I love Dramione. Don’t @ me.

Very well written for a fan fiction and very well thought out!

This was a very interesting Dramonie Fanfic. I enjoyed the plot and that it was an original idea. The characters were pretty true to the book and I did not find it difficult to believing the plot line. I enjoyed revisiting some of our favorite characters. I also really enjoyed the new dynamic of the two being parents before actually having feelings for one another. It was another perspective that is rarely shown in Dramonie FanFic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS FIC. I’ve read it a bajillion times. It’s not hard to imagine this as a sequel, but obviously with my OTP, Dramione. It’s heartwarming to see the two come together for their child that they just found out about. Aurey is an absolute joy to read about, he’s adorable! Definitely 5 stars.

I read this one years ago, probably early secondary school (yes my dramione obsession started out long ago) and I don't think I ever finished it. I'm not sure why but I looked for this story for so long and then I saw it on twitter a bit ago. I'm very happy to finally have read it and it's as amazing as I remember it being all these years ago.

******POTENTIAL SPOLIERS******

This was such a good read. I absolutely loved Aurelian's character and his impact on the story. This was a good premise and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I really liked the idea of Bellatrix's return and the Death Eaters' success in the first timeline. All the deaths made me want to cry. And when something makes you *feel*, it's a good read! Also, usually I am all about the slow burn, but in this instance it made so much sense for Draco and Hermione's feelings to develop so quickly after seeing the potential they had. I actually enjoyed their relationship development even though it was very quick.

My biggest criticism of this fic, however, is how wordy it can be. It had a really strong start but towards about the 60% mark it starts to drag a bit and that made it less enjoyable, in my opinion. The battle felt a bit rushed, too.

However, I stand by this being a good read and I recommend it!

It had potential, but ultimately wasnt my cup of tea. A lot of plot holes and the ending was hasty at best. The plot really had the potential to be interesting.. but the direction it ended up going, was all wrong. Anyway thats my opinion, you dont have to agree with it.

I liked the idea of this book but Hermione and Draco were just not it.

Also, the way Aurelian talking was written pissed me off. Kids don’t talk like that. The mistakes they usually make are when they follow grammar rules that don’t apply to the words they use or when grammar makes exceptions that kids, because they’re kids, haven’t learnt yet. Kids are not dumb and talk all wrong. They might confuse letters or mispronounce them but not ALL the time. I get that fanfic authors are not experts but it’s really easy to look this things up and not make their kids sound really dumb and not realistic.

I don’t know, I kept trying to like it and I couldn’t.

I just finished this book because I can’t bring myself to not finish a book. 1.5 stars because it is still dramione, fanfic and for free.

light, no one dies, no smut/spice (nothing except a kiss happened), a lot of nothing. If you like that, go read this book. It is not for me.

Draco polyjuiced as Aurelian sitting on Hermiones hip was the worst part for me (except for this cover picture maybe)

I like the premise of the book, however, there are several irritants that make lower the rating for me. The first is the progression of the relationship. They are in love after 1 week after never speaking before? Yea, no. Then Hermione claims she is terrible with kids but at no point during this book does she ever struggle, question herself, or find it difficult. Then there is the fact that they forget to use simple magic we already know works. Draco is sweating under a cloak but we know cooling charms exist. Hermione gets burned and they don't use a disillusion spell to hide it even though they can. Just a bunch of stuff like makes it feel disconnected from the original story. The dialogue is super weird and forced, especially the conversations between Blaise/Malfoy and Hermione/Ginny. We can see inside their heads but she still feels the need to have them speak these weird word vomit monologues. The characters themselves seem to be a bit illogical at times. Draco grabs Blaise and Katie at the mystery drop site and instead of restraining them and apparating back to the drop site, he stays and calls Harry and Hermione. Now I get going back would have been a risk but he had a protection charm set to notify when someone crossed. Why not just drop the bodies and go back and wait since he knew it was clear? Then they find the secret room in the Lestrange house and for some reason decide that Hermione's small peak into the secret room was enough? No way would they not have gone back and scoured that room looking for clues. None of the characters feel like extensions of themselves from the og 7 and it feels much more like the author just needed a spring board to help them write a story (which is fine, the story idea itself was quite interesting) than actually trying to blend this story into the characters and story we know. She really missed the mark with Draco's behavior and personality, and Harry is quite odd as well. The writing itself is a bit painful to read and I grew so bored at 75% that I just started skimming. You would think the mystery would be a bit more difficult to solve and there would be a slew of events that would happen just like the memories, but it's actually all just figured out in one month.

I couldn't keep reading it. The premise was good but the romance between Draco and Hermione was too forced. How can they go from having no contact to being attracted to or in love just because they have a kid together now or based on what they saw in the memories? Draco and Hermione, from the memories had a proper build-up, a selection of events, a history that led them to being in love. They've gone through things, evolved together, lived and experienced life together. But don't tell me in no less than 2 weeks after Aurelian showed up, Draco suddenly fell in love? I expected another kind of slow burn for them in which they just co-parent and try to be there for Aurelian first and then one by one with events like I don't know .. maybe Hermione catches a cold and Draco insists that she goes to the Manor to be taken care of and when she or he starts to feel some kind of attraction I was expecting them to question it, wondering if they are just gaslighting themselves into a relationship just because of their son, etc.. and later on they discover that they have feelings for each other you know that sort of build-up. I felt sorry for Aurelian, too, because even if he is a kid, he definitely can sense that something is off with the parents he has now. It's like an uncanny valley version of them. I've never been a mother before, and I don't know if it's like a switch on, so I'm not sure if people are capable of loving their kids without having some sort of history with them; they would care; yes, but it will not compare to Aurelian Memory's parents.

This was a phenomenal read! It starts off with the reader full of anxiety. It grips you and pulls you in. As soon as you realize what this little boy means it’s got you. I was completely consumed and devoured the pages. Now this is written with the same vibe as the book, lots of mystery and action, lots of buildup and leaves your head spinning. I got about 67% and realized she was thicc. This is a 1080 page ebook. And before I realized I was more than halfway through with no pickle lol. You’re so consumed by the storyline that you don’t realize it’s a tame action with slow burn romance. While there is intimacy there is no xes. Which actually was okay. Because the book is so dang good without the spice. I loved the bonds. This is the first dramione I’ve read that Draco is not a flaming red flag and the group doesn’t instantly hate him. I loved Aurelian, his character was so well written. I laughed a lot and I was also brought to my knees in tears over the hermione’s dad part. The ending was cute a good hea.

Some of my favorite quotes:

"She's the one. She's the girl, the one I want. She's… Gods, she's it, and I'm terrified. I don't know what to do. I don't want to screw this up," Draco rattled off anxiously.”

"Get over it, Granger," he whispered softly in her ear. "You're mine."

"With as many books as you devour, we knew it was only a matter of time before one bit back," Fred jested,

3.5/5 ⭐️ rounded up
0/5 🌶️ closed door/YA

Loved the premise!! Reading this after finally feeling ready for another Dramione after Manacled earlier this year (manacled was my introduction into Dramione).

I thought overall it was quite a solid and entertaining and pretty well thought out story arc. Writing style did leave a bit to be desired but it’s fan fiction and I don’t know how old the author was etc.

Few things I thought were missed were things that we know to exist in the potterverse like cooling charms for when they’re under their cloaks and it gets hot, using disillusionment charm for when hermione has a burn etc.

I thought pacing was maybe a tad inconsistent but overall did pretty well. The ending/conflict initially felt a tad rushed but author did it justice pretty well given it’s not a whole series - had potential to be perhaps.

Overall take it with grain of salt that this is a fan fiction. And while it may not be god-tier like the likes of manacled, I think it’s absolutely worth a read and it’ll keep you engaged. Few Easter eggs I called and was waiting to see how it panned out - few that I forgot and surprised me.

Add it to your Dramione TBR!

I had an okay time reading this one. Loved seeing Draco and Hermione work toward becoming instant parents. The first 30% or so started off strong with them watching themselves suffer and die in another timeline. The remainder of the story dragged in a few places and Aurey started to feel like an afterthought (which I could understand as they were trying to prevent a massacre). Definitely not enough Hermione and Draco being together. There were a few places where the plot didn't make sense. Like why the whole Order would decide to go to wherever the Death Eaters were to "scare them off", knowing that they couldn't fight them. The whole Katie knowing that they were being picked off and left to work in the office because "she was sooo bored". Hate it when authors make characters do stupid things just to make the plot along.

Dnf @ 88%. Idk, it’s either a reading slump or this was bland, I struggled with continuing.

The storyline is okay but the relationship build up was just too quick. They moved so quickly with almost zero build-up. It’s more likely that they’re being led by the nose by the memories. Not Blaine being the sane one when he pointed out how fast Draco and Hermione were going. Blaine’s little couple-therapy moment:

You can’t love her because you simply enjoy being with her; because she makes you happy. She won’t always make you happy.

With him, she found the acceptance and pride she was seeking.

A fresh aspect for me was giving Bellatrix a background story of mummy issues.

It was okay. The idea is great, but the execution could be done better. I think the first few chapters lacked, but I guess that's understandable, taking into consideration that the writer might be gearing up their writing mode at first. It definitely got better in the middle until the end, though there are a lot of loopholes that were annoying for me. This fic is what I personally like to call a "safety-net fic" because right from the start we can already infer that no character in this fic is going to face a tragic fate and that we are going to get the best ending possible, with rainbows and unicorns and the best of fate for everybody involved in the fic.

It's a hard 3.5 from me :)

I really wanted to give 5 stars but...
I loved this story. Aurelian is absolutely amazing and so cute. I really enjoyed reading it. Draco and Hermione were very similar to the ones of the books. Their love story was very satisfying to read. I gave this story 4 stars because i believe there were many parts that were really slow and unnecessary. I was expecting more action to be honest. Some chapters were filled with scene and dialogs that were giving nothing to the story and made me a little tired. Nevertheless, i believe it was a good approach of Hermione and Draco 's relationship and i enjoyed it.

This cover is embarrassing. Don’t let it dissuaded you! Incredibly compelling storyline - I haven’t been this nervous since reading The Auction. I really enjoyed the overall story. Oddly, the love story was often the weakest point along with repetitive prose. I don’t feel like this is the best depiction of Draco. We missed the aristocratic Draco that plays foil to the Weasleys so well. Overall, this would be a good one for those who don’t enjoy smut and want to dip their toes into Dramione fan fiction.
