After years of torture in a secret government facility, Wyatt is still struggling to recover from the scars he suffered—both physical and mental. Even now that he’s free, he can’t forget the poor, doomed omega they ripped from his arms and murdered in front of him. From that moment, Wyatt swore that never touch another woman again…until her met her.
She was the woman he shouldn’t want.
Darlene never imagined her life would end up this way. What started off as helping a beloved friend in the new Alpha Boundaryland has turned into full-time smuggling operation. The only trouble is she still can’t stand alphas, and they feel the same way about her. Well, most of them do…all except him.
Once there were boundaries…but now that their chains are broken, these alphas refused to be contained.
Wyatt is the fifth book in The Unchained Omegaverse, a hot new ABO romance series featuring knotting, heats, and possession. Wear gloves, cause this sh*t is hot.
Ever since she was little, Callie Rhodes' imagination has been landing her in trouble. From daydreaming about far off worlds in class, to escaping into the made up stories of her mind in the meeting room, she's been creating tales to take her away from the real world for as long as she can remember. Now she lives among the tall trees of Northern California, and has found a way to make a living off her fantasies.
This one was a bit more emotional than previous books in this series. Wyatt's time at the Basement was rough and also explains his connection to the other omegas. Darlene did frustrate me because of her martyr complex and that no one understood her (even though she never told anyone the truth about her past ... So of course no one understood).
The ending was fine. I actually really liked it until about 70% and then it was ok, not bad but ok. Overall, it's furthering the overarching plot. Looking forward to the next book!
Also...I didn't understand why so many of the alphas didn't like or respect Darlene, when she is the one bringing in the supplies. I didn't get why they couldn't be bothered with her. Also, can we stop having Archer as the giant asshole of the group. We get it... Maybe he shouldn't be a part of the 'welcome committee '.

Wyatt de Callie Rhodes Serie The Unchained Omegaverse libro 5
Argumento:
This one was okay. I really liked Wyatt, but Darlene was a little hard to warm up to. I thought Archer came across as a total jerk where Darlene was concerned.
Enjoyed Wyatt's perspective. He is an alpha but he had a depth and perception that Archer didn't have. He also epitomizes the idea that Alphas may have the same physique but pursue diverse interests. The author skips ahead a few times in this book. A helpful device in a repetitive series but she should not have done that in the ending. We never get a feel of what kind of life the new couple settle into. Ending the book before certain monumental moments, diminish the commitment and the story. Especially in a story where the hero has made the majority of the relationship pivotal decisions and it was the heroines turn.
A couple things that continue to bother me in the plot is ... All of these turned Alphas have families. That no one cares about their family member after they manifest Alpha tendencies seems incredulous. Since the bad lands have a trading post - why don't the Ozarks setup one as well and have the deliveries met at the boundary line. I was hoping the two communities would connect
🔥 “We were meant to be, and you know it. You. Are. Mine.” ~~~ I absolutely loved Darlene! She’s been through so much. And, yet, she’s one badass woman. I loved her strength and bravery to face everything life throws her way. And she’s such a wonderful and loyal friend.
And Wyatt is one amazing male. He’s strong, thoughtful and fiercely protective. But most of all, I loved how he treated Darlene and I loved his determination to help her. He’s so awesome and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved the development of their relationship. Both have suffered unimaginably and lost so much. But Darlene and Wyatt were so great together and their chemistry was amazing. They were such a great match. And after everything they’ve been through, they more than deserved to find healing, love, happiness and peace with each other.
Overall, the story is another magnificent addition to the series. It’s filled with danger, suspense, fast-paced action, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next!
3.5 ⭐️ I love this series. Wyatt and Darlene were fantastic. The build up, his protectiveness, the way they comforted each other, it was amazing. The reason this is a 3.5 and not a 4.5 was the lack of spicy bits. It’s always a given with these books that we get some seriously hot, spicy scenes and that was really missing in Wyatt. I felt like we didn’t get much of that, we got some build up and then boom, next chapter. It was a little disappointing. Am I going to stop reading? Absolutely not, but I am hoping Rhodes brings back some of the spicier scenes in the next one 🤞🏼
This is one of my favorites of her books and definitely not for the heroine. Wyatt is literally one of the only Alphas that portray a fully mature adult male with none of the immature habits of the other Alphas. Callie usually writes her alphas like they literally stopped maturing at 16 and they don't have any of the emotional maturity that comes with being a fully adult male.
That said her works are generally good for a bit of distracting fluff. Her writing is consistent if very similar from book to book.
I have to admit that the book 3 (Diesel) left me a little worried about the direction of the series. But we are back on track, and this series is fantastic once again. The plot line worked, the story wrapped and the chemistry between Wyatt and Darlene works. The background information, the history of ABO relationships, the connections were done right. All i can say is Thank You Callie, I can't wait to read the next ones.
Book felt rushed, connection between characters were sparse and not as believable. Author is usually really good but the books seem to be an afterthought to whatever the author has got going on in their life. This book had great potential and wasn’t terrible but it left me feeling empty.
Wow this was awesome. Darlene was a true do it by herself girl until she met Wyatt who was determine to show her she didn’t have to. Wyatt and Darlene chemistry was off the charts. I do miss reading about them giving each other their claiming marks. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series.
I truly Love this series and always look forward to reading the next story 😃. There's always discrimination out in the world, doesn't matter what you are, there's always someone who thinks it's wrong 🤔. Thanks again Callie, I can't wait cuz I truly love your stories 🤓.
Darleen had been taking a delivery to the Alpha’s every week until he got her photo taken. She then lost her job and flat. She didn’t tell Sarah her friend. The only person who found out was Wyatt. Wyatt and Darleen get close and this is the start of there story. I can’t wait to read the next book
Whew talking about hot, sweet and totally sexy Alphas and their Omegas. This book was a delicious read. It has all the thrilling drama as well as the tender side of an Alpha. Loved this book. Keep delivering these awesome stories.
I can't believe this was my first book of 2022. It was exactly what I expected--not great or even good by any means, but not awful either, and still mind-numbingly entertaining enough for me to keep reading.
I enjoyed reading Wyatt's story. I can hardly wait to read A sells story. I find it so fascinating about how the work fall so hard for these Alpha men. I would love to find my own Alpha!
Yeah, it was OK. Not much plot but that's not the point here. I liked Wyatt and his chill outlook, especially as opposed to the other alphas who are a little INTENSE. Darlene was fine, nothing exciting but I did appreciate her standing up to her friend. That's always a hard thing to do.
I don't like Archer very much in this story or his own story but Wyatt is so chill and likable despite all the trauma he suffered. Darlene is kind of stiffnecked and too strong willed against her nature.
This was a good book. I love Wyatt’s character. And I feel so sad for him. He’s so patient and understanding despite Darlene’s actions and words constantly hurting him. And she lives in such a big world of denial.
What an emotional one this was. There was one part that had my heart thumping. The spicy bits were lacking which was a shame but I gave it 4 stars because I really did like Wyatt and Darlene's story.
Darlene and Wyatt’s story was one with such great detail and strength. I like that she was a fighter with a story to tell and Wyatt wasn’t an normal jerk of an alpha, but someone who understood Darlene’s fears and trauma. Although these stories haven’t been as steamy, they have been a tail that is building too a change for the Alpha’s and Omegas as we know it. This was a great read.
This is one of my favourite Rhodes books (I've read them all). But how can the author make the So frustrating! I kept scrolling back and forth thinking that I was missing pages. Nope.
I really enjoyed this Alpha. The personalities are a lot more diverse and interesting in this newest series, and I like that outside relationships are taking place. I wasn't as big a fan of this heroine but I liked how the story progressed
