Wolf shifter Riley Savage thought his fated mate was lost in the river almost seven years ago. But when it’s revealed that not only is she alive, but also she’s a witch who’s been hiding from him, fury doesn’t begin to describe how Riley feels. He’s determined to get answers and hits nothing but dead ends. And then she shows up in Arcana Falls.
Despite how angry he is, the desire to claim, bite, and knot her is stronger.
Warring between anger and biological urges, Riley malfunctions. It's not healthy for an alpha shifter to reject his fated mate, so the council alphas vote for a one-week lockdown for them in Tyson's cabin. Forced proximity with an angry alpha wolf shifter who is torn between knotting you sixty-nine ways to sunday and ringing your neck?
Are you ready for the sparks to fly?
Come back to Arcana Falls and the Savage Alpha Shifters, wolf shifters who identify their fated mate and chase, claim, bite, knot, and purr for them. These stories are best experienced in order.

I've been dying for Riley's story since book one and have been aggressively anticipating this installment.
That said, I really enjoyed it, although I didn't care for the flashback element (but I never really love a lot of constant flashbacks in any story, so that's just my own personal taste). I also thought Riley's behavior in the beginning was a little annoying. His constant push-backs were just one too many in my opinion.
Regardless, this is shifter smut, friends. And it definitely delivered. I love this series. So far it has met my empty calorie smut needs every time thus far. Can't wait for the next one.

Oh LAWD. Talk about a biological response 👀 your mind is telling you no… but your body’s… your body’s telling you yes 🥵😈 (yes, I Sang the song as I typed this 🤣🎵). I wanna be a ragdoll like Erica 💁🏻♀️. Lucky lucky girl 👀.
This book takes place right after book 2 ends, so while you don’t HAVE to read books 1 and 2, you’ll enjoy it more if you do ❤️.
Riley’s (late 20s? Early 30s?) extremely upset. For seven years, he’s thought his mate died- he saw her disappear into the river when he was trying to tell her that she’s his mate. And now, she’s back- very much alive, and he’s pisssssssed 😬. He hates that his body responds to her so readily, so easily, and it’s a constant battle to hold back claiming her 😅. He’s so upset, he doesn’t even care to hear her excuses for being gone for those seven years…
Erica (28) has been suffering for seven years. She wasn’t allowed to come back, no matter how much she was trying to make right what she did wrong ☹️. Seven years ago, she made a spell that jumped the mating order, which was why Riley was able to detect her 😬. Unfortunately, she broke rules and the Supernatural Council Collective (SCC) enforced consequences for her. During this time, she’s been miserable and doing whatever she could to make amends.
If only Riley would let her explain… before their bodies do all the talking 😅👀.
What I liked/loved: potential spoilers —the forced proximity 😈. Yaaaasss 👏🏻
—Riley’s tail-wagging 🤣🥹. This was FREAKING ADOOOOORABLE 😭😭😭. I wanted to take Riley’s wolf home 🤣🫶❤️
—Riley was celibate 🥰. Sigh. I LUUUUURVE when we encounter Hs who don’t hooooar around after losing their mate/loved one. Technically, Riley thought she was dead; there was no real reason for him to remain celibate. But he was 🥰 sigh. Loooove
—the tension 👀. Bahahaha! Riley trying to fight what biology dictates was just yummy 😅. Poor Erica’s v area 🤣; every time Riley growled, her v couldn’t help but respond 😅
—the 🔥. Oh. My. Gawd 🥵. See what happens when you fight biology? It comes back TEN FOLD, and LAWD 😮💨. This was absolutely scrumptious 🤤 it was beyond their control, and it was oh 🔥 so 🥵 good 😉. I wanted to take Erica and have her sit in an ice bath 🤣
—the KNOTTING 💦. I… um…. I… kind of, felt bad for them 🤣. I had never read a book where it just kept going and going 👀. But hey, serves Riley right 💅. He tries go against what his wolf wants and his wolf’s like 🤷🏻♀️🤣 you gonna regret this Riley 😅. We just have to pray for Erica’s v 👀
—Erica’s grit and resilience 🫶. She’s such an admirable character- always trying to do the right thing even though she doesn’t have to. She suffered these last seven years, and she made sure to make up for it 🥹 the thing she did made me love her even more 😭❤️. I just love her 🥰
—Riley’s regret 😑. I’m so glad we see how BAAAAD Riley feels when he finds out the truth. This man has some making up to do, and he does 💁🏻♀️
—SCOOBY DOO 🤣🤣🤣. I’m dead. I’m dying dead 🤣🤣🤣 💀
—finding an endearment 🤣. This was so fun to figure out 😅
—the flashback scenes ❤️. I know many people don’t like going back and forth, but I appreciated it. This is a second chance, so it was pivotal to not only see what happened in the past, but the reasoning for it all. It made everything makes sense, and I loved it 🤷🏻♀️
—the emotional scenes 🥹. I was in my feels many times. The turmoil, the heartache, ugh 🫶
—how protective Riley is ❤️. LUUUURVE this
—big bag wolf 😈. Oh yeah. Give it to me 😉
—the jealous scenes 😅. Not Riley getting jealous of Erica hugging her own cousin 🤣😈
—previous MCs ❤️. I looooooveed seeing Tyson/Ivy and Mason/Amie so much 😭 and then we also see
—Grayson and his mate 👀. Gaaahhh. I can’t wait to read book 4!!!!
—the supernatural elements 👀. This was super cool. It’s the first time we see an h with powers, and it was glorious 💁🏻♀️
What I wanted more of/didn’t love: SPOILERS —I wish we had more of Riley and Erica 🥰. I didn’t want the book to end 🤣 especially with all the primal play/spaaaaanking that we needed to see 👀
—I didn’t love that Riley was thinking of hooking up with someone. It made my tummy hurt ☹️. If he hadn’t been so stubborn, he would’ve found out what happened and he wouldn’t have ever even been in this situation. Ugh. Men 😑
—Jase 😐. I know it’s not his book, but the scene with Bailey HUUUURT ☹️, especially because Bailey is suffering and BIG-time pining over him. I think it’ll be a book I’ll have to skip from this series 😏 unless Bailey goes out and lives her life, maybe tries to find a man worthy of her love 😅🤣. I just don’t see how Jase will make this right for me, which saddens me ☹️
Overall, I loved it! I can’t wait to read book 4!
⚠️ safety squad ⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/omd -virgin h -she’s been celibate/he has as well -owd- during the separation, while the H was mourning her “death” he kissed OW. In the present, he goes to a bar to try to forget the pull he has with the h (before they’ve mated) and he plans to go with another ow, but his body isn’t responding (they’re still at the bar) and the h’s sister is there as well -dubcon ish (the first claiming scene) -spanking/biting/knotting/ -no condoms/both have been celibate. Plus, it’s a shifter romance 😅 -HEA/epilogue
This was everything I was hoping for and more anything with a second chance trope is kind of a risk for me as more often than not I’m just not a fan it just isn’t my favourite trope so I was slightly nervous going in as I adore this author's work and she’s a definite auto-buy for me.
Happy to report this totally smashed it, I was totally invested and enthralled this managed to knock me right out of the reading slump I was previously in. I read this super fast and Riley and Erica were super sexy and totally adorable together they had so much chemistry heart and heat and I was rooting for them every step of the way. They totally deserved their HEA together, it had been a long time coming both had been put through such an emotional ringer over the past seven years and they had equal scars and battle wounds from this experience.
So this is a story that had been building in the background of the previous books breadcrumbs were dropped and I was ever so intrigued to discover their particular story It’s not all plain sailing Riley is naturally angry just aiming his ire in the wrong direction whilst Erica is wallowing in deep guilt. Initially, there is a whole lot of pain and angst to work through and I liked that this didn’t gloss over any of that it made this feel more authentic and incredibly genuine.
This had the usual sense of community solidarity and family combined with a small-town vibe. I loved how much prior characters were also an integral part of this. So this in my opinion does need to be read as a series and isn’t a stand-alone read though each book does focus on a separate couple there’s so much backstory included and little eater eggs sprinkled throughout you’d lose out on so much without the further clarification.
As usual, it was well written and I raced through it at record speed. This series is a favourite of mine and each book feels so distinct and not a rehash of the same plot which I adore. There’s also plenty of heat included here and this was red-hot in that department. Another excellent edition to the series and I already want the next one in line which I believe will be Grey and Stacy. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Wicked.
Let me say up front, I definitely didn't make the same mistake with Wicked as I did with Twisted. I loved Wild so much I put off reading Twisted for over a year, because I was afraid it wouldn't measure up 🙈. Of course I ended up being blown away, so when I was able to get my paws on an early copy of Wicked, there was no way I was going to pass that shiznit up. I gorged myself on this monster like piece of my favorite pie - and it was sooooo delicious!
Wicked is another fan-farking-tastic ride from beginning to end! I just loved everything about this book. The world building is just top notch. Arcana Falls is a vivid, vibrant, and magical place with characters that just dig in and hold tight. Wicked is a super emotional journey. DD did a great job of conveying the visceral pain that both Erica and Riley have been through these past 7 years and your heart will bleed for the both of them. The plot was super interesting and told with some flashbacks to explain how we’ve gotten where we are. This was a super meaty book that was maybe a little slower in the beginning, but it sped up quickly. There was tons of action, hot shifter smexy, and twists and turns that had me riveted all the way to the end.
You just can’t beat a Riley Savage for a swoony hero and he’s everything Erica was looking for. Hell, what we're all looking for, lol. He’s kind, caring, and thoughtful. And hot. Super, super hot, lol 🥵. But the last 7 years have worn him down and all his warm fuzzies are firmly encased in a crusty cover of bitter now that he’s realized that his mate has been hiding from him and causing him needless pain. He’s not interested in hearing her excuses and will hold out until some crazy shifter madness ensues 🐺. Amelia will probably always be my favorite heroine, just because I identified with her so much, but Erica definitely has cemented a special place in my heart. She is an exuberant, impulsive, and all around sweet girl who really just wants one thing: Riley Savage. Her dedication to him, her sisters, and the idea of what Arcana Falls means to her is inspiring and will tug on your heartstrings. She has years of grief and self-loathing built up inside her and it’s wonderful to see the both of them work through their issues to get the happiness they deserved all along. .
Wicked is the third book in the Savage Alpha Shifter series by DD Prince. It is told in first person, from multiple perspectives. Wicked is a standalone, but definitely best appreciated when read in series order. There are tons of breadcrumbs in this book for what's coming and let's just say I'll be waiting with bated breath for ALL of them!
I’m sure people loved this and I wonder if maybe it was a me thing and not the book. There’s a constant back and forth between “10 years ago” and “now” that was annoying. The H hates the h because she hid herself from him by faking her death in a traumatic way. (He shifts in front of her and she jumps to a river or something) But of course they’re mates so he can’t help be drawn to her and vice versa. But he hates her! Lol It just felt blah, and the writing style didn’t help either. So I’m DNF this bad boy and moving to something else.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Oh boy! I feel shit to give it so low rating, I am so invested with all the guys. They have grown on me… but what I imagined is absolutely polar opposite what I got. I guess I could say it’s on me.
This book could have been epic. I was waiting for Riley’s book most, I felt this could be the best in the series! It truly started off well, he was angry and I was all for it..
Until it just, was resolved the most simplistic way ever and whole plot was completely about something else. Something, what should have been happening in the next book. I hoped we get good angst, I’m not a fan of angst but this situation was calling for hardcore angst.
Your mate came back after 7 years and surprise, she’s not dead. He should have had such an anger in him like never before. I wanted him to truly fuck up before things were revealed and then grovelling and mending their relationship. But, we got everyone meddling in their business and therefore fixing it all with no issues.
My biggest issue was the whole book is like forever long. The beginning felt like looking at a dead animals decomposition. I had to put the book down and read meanwhile something else, because I honestly didn’t care about her everyday life and how she became a witch…. For like 200 pages or god knows how long that went on. It was torture! I mean this could have been summed up with 20 pages or so.
And when that super anticlimactic reunion happened, they were so happy- lovey dovey. I started to skim at that point, hoping I don’t even know what exactly.
Basically, I am so disappointed, I am so sad because I truly wanted to love this book- I did, but unfortunately this wasn’t what I expected. That said, I’m gonna simp in the corner and re-read the first book.
🔶 virgin h 🔶 celibate H 🔶 separation of 7 years 🔶 h 28/ H was um mid 30’s? 🔶 h witch / H shifter wolf 🔶 fated mates 🔶 it’s more plot driven than romance 🔶 smut is pretty okay 🔶 knotting ( and they get stuck 😅) 🔶 no cheating 🔶 HEA 🔶 cannot be read as a standalone
I hate to rate this book so low because I’m a huge DD Prince fan. But this book wasn’t for me. I throughly enjoyed Wild and Twisted but this book was far too slow paced for me. The constant back and forth with the past got boring and confusing. I tried giving it another go but like I said super slow paced. Parts of the book got really boring and repetitive I felt like I had to force myself to read more. I guess I just prefer the first two books of the series more. I was really looking forward to Wicked so this is a huge of a let down!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’m loving this series and the world building. I loved the rejected mate and forced proximity aspects of this book! I couldn’t put it down. I wanted the stupid meddling organization to be destroyed. Mitch is a meddling jerk!
I really can’t wait for Bailey’s story! So glad this will be a 7 book series.
This book was so unnecessarily long and wordy. I don’t need multiple paragraphs on the description of a bathroom. I honestly had to skim throughout the book to keep to the plot and at 65% I ended up skipping the end. I hated Riley. He’s a douche.
First two books are great. I could not handle this one unfortunately. The long wait for this book to come out and I’m so sad that I couldn’t even read the entire book 😴
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
‘Wicked’ is the third book in the ‘Savage Alpha shifters’ series and I would really recommend starting with book one. Readers who have read ‘Hollow’ and ‘Holden’ (a Halloween duet story) will remember the witch Erika, who was an important secondary character. From the moment I read in the duet story that her lover was a wolf shifter, I became curious about their love story. So I was very excited when I found out this was their love story! And what an emotional, painful and beautiful love story it was!! I loved it! (And no, you don’t have to read the Halloween duet before reading this book, but if you’re looking for a Halloween love story, give it a try. I enjoyed it very much.)
Sometimes all it takes is one look to know you’ve met a very special person, maybe even THE ONE. That happens to 18 year old Erika when she sees wolf shifter Riley for the first time. She’s enchanted by his smile, handsomeness and kindness. And one look isn’t enough, for three years she takes every chance she gets to see him from a distance, but then one night, in a moment of youthful carelessness and impulsiveness, Erika breaks an important magical rule. Unfortunately, her punishment not only affects her but also Riley. It leaves them both broken and alone. And now after seven years apart Erika has come to Riley to explain what happened seven years ago and ask for his forgiveness. Unfortunately, Riley isn’t ready to listen to her. He’s angry and in too much pain by what he believes is her fault. It will take the strength of his alpha council brothers and the cunningness of his wolf to force Riley to listen to Erika. After learning what happened seven years ago, Riley now has the difficult task of convincing Erika that they still have a chance at a happily ever after together. But that’s not his only problem, there is great danger around, there are unknown enemies who want to gain more power. And they try to achieve this in all kinds of dangerous ways. Can Riley protect Erika and his pack from this? He will certainly try!!
OMG, my heart broke for Erika and Riley. You could really feel the pain of their broken hearts, their loneness and Erika’s guilt over what had happened that one night when she was still an inexperienced, innocent, impulsive witch and used her magic in the wrong way. And if any couple needed a second chance at love, it was Erika and Riley. They shared such a deep and passionate love together. They were truly each other’s soulmates!! Just like in the previous stories, you got both POV’s in the story. If you thought the knotting in the previous stories was hot, well… the writer DD Prince took it even further! At one point I didn’t know whether to feel sorry or jealous of Erika and Riley. All I can say is… Erika was very lucky that Riley was such a strong guy LOL.
Erika and Riley were both great characters and yes, Riley wasn’t very nice to Erika at first, but he had his reasons and once he understood what happened in the past, he became a devoted, possessive, protective and passionate mate. Both had good hearts, they were kind and wanted to help those around them. Erika and Riley were very lucky to have the support of their loving family members during the tough times and to have good friends who cared for them when times got tough (or forced them to listen when they were too stubborn themselves). Just like in the previous books the alpha wolf shifters did their best to protect their loved ones and their pack. (With each book in this series the bond between the council alphas grows stronger, they are all strong alphas but they listen to each other’s advice and respect each other’s opinions. Everyone is worth the same as alpha. They care for each other and have each other backs.) In this book we got to know the Young sisters much better and I loved them!! There was Vivica, Veronica, Jessica and Danica. They were each special witches in their own way. But the main reason I loved them is because they cared so much about each other and their great-aunt Mimi. They were good witches, who used their powers to do good in the world. Having such powers also meant that they sometimes had to make difficult decisions. Fortunately, they had their great-aunt Mimi (and in the past also their grand-aunt Lyrica) to guide and advise them. I really loved the fact that there was magic in this story. The combination magic and wolf shifter = a magical and wonderful combination! In this story we also got little glimpses of another couple, Greyson and Stacy. Their story will be next in the series and I can’t wait to read it! Greyson was so protective of Stacy, it was wonderful to see.
Although it was an emotional story, it also had funny parts. Riley’s wolf made me smile, he was so cute and smart. And then you had Erika’s three cats. Yes, three cats in a wolf shifter house!! Need I say more! It was funny to see how they all reacted on each other.
Ever since I read the first book in this series, I’ve been waiting on Riley/Erica (and another couple further down the line). While I enjoyed the first two books, they, thankfully, don’t hold a candle to this one. It’s always nice when a highly anticipated read, meets, or even exceeds, your expectations. I’m a sucker for angst, pining, and heartburn-inducing resentment before the reward between characters, and Riley/Erica delivered that. The lore and world-building was top tier in this one. I found myself invested in and equally liking both leads, which is rare. This one will definitely be a favorite reread of mine.
Fanfreakintastic!! I absolutely loved Riley and Erica’s story!!! This couple has been through so much heartbreak and devastation, especially Erica and the punishment bestowed on her for what she did. 7 years of grieving and denying their fate brings all the emotions to a head. Grief and sadness, hope and wishes, anger and resentment all gathered into a cloud of despair. Riley is a man that dreams are made of, he is virile, strong, amazingly kind and over the top sexy. He exudes strength and charisma that make women fall to their knees. But he only wants the woman he lost 7 years ago and feels that he will forever be lonely and alone. Erica with her impatience but an over abundance of kindness, and her love of nature and all life around her, feels her loss of her mate excruciatingly every day. She is a witch who made a mistake and has been hidden for 7 long years and now must let her true mate and fate decide what happens next. This is, hands down, the best Savage Shifter story to date and DD Prince is the Queen and mastermind of these Arcana Falls shifters🐺🐺
H-Riley Young- 1 of the 7 alphas h- Erica Young- witch I waited so long for this book to come out (a year) But it felt soooo much longer than that. & I think my expectations were sooooo high because of that. Out of these 3 books my fav still the 2nd book & I’m sad to say I honestly didn’t like this book at all. I feel like this book was too long for no reason! So let’s recap. ***** Spoiler Alerts***** So Erica comes to age @ 18yrs old & finds out she is a witch & coming out with powers (so she is a witch in training). One of her aunts is trainer her & during her trainer she sees Riley & immediately she feels a connection with him (but she let it go). Fast forward almost 3yrs later she is coming home after finding out her boyfriend (who she was going to give her virginity to) cheated on her with her friend. She sees Riley again & this time they actually got to talk & he seems interested in her, but she needed to get to the hospital to her aunt. Once she is home, in a depressed mood & she takes an open bottle of wine & starts drinking it & in that process she decides to write a spell where Riley will be her one & only (pretty much forcing a mating bond) Of course if you read book 1 & 2 you know that everything goes in order. Tyson was the oldest so he gets to be mated 1st & so forth. Sooooo if Riley mates with Erica it would break that order & cause chaos (so they said). So when SCC (Supernatural Council Collective) found out they decided to punish not only her but Riley as well by vanishing Erica away & making Riley believe that his mate was dead. Sooooooo fast forward to 7yrs later they finally are letting her go see Riley. She wants to explained herself & then allow him to decided if he wants to sever there bond. Long story short- he finally hears her out & forgives her & decided that his punish was to harsh for the crime being that they are fated mates. I they get decided to get some of the SCC to meet so they can explain why they did that. So far the story is not bad. They let us know that upon Erica gets to be with her mate her powers would grow a lot & that being that she was a witch in training at the time it would of being too much for the young witch. They decided to get all the witches together & do some kind of ceremony where one of the council person (witch) try to kill all the witches to get their powers. But they were saved & the bad witch is dead. Great! I thought that was it.. all done. NOPE there more. This is where the story didn’t really need this part. Soooo many names/people gets added very chapters (it felt like every page a new named popped up. It was so hard to keep up, Examples- Jessie, Jessica, Jess… like come one I was so confused. So out of the blue they are at the bar where this Watt guy (alpha) decides to take Sherry (remember the b**ch who told Emily that Mason almost killed Tyson for Ivy(her sister) Yes her. The new alpha from another place decides to say that she is his fated mate. Then you guess again- more people were added to the mixed- by this time I was sooooo over this story that after Erica did whatever she needed to do to save the day I didn’t want to know nothing more from this book. I just didn’t really like their story. He was just too stupid, he would leave her alone in danger & he was okay with that. I felt like he wasn’t acting like someone with their fated mate in-front of him.
~ celibate H ~ v h ~ second chance ~ so much knotting
⚠️ per usual with D.D Prince , there’s non con
I enjoyed Riley’s story more than Masons for sure (Amelia really annoyed me), the backstory is sad and traumatic and I understood Riley’s anger towards his mate. I could have done without so much witchy background and skimmed that but this is definitely the first time I’ve read about a stuck knot so buckle up 😂 I also wish there was a little more groveling on Riley’s part for his brutality but we know he at least apologized…
Of note, something in the series is bothering me, the canon keeps changing . One thing I loved about the first book Wild was that mate want no one else and you couldn’t sever the bond. Now all the sudden bond severing is a thing and mistresses for infertility, and it just makes the mate bond much less special.
4.5 hot shifter stars. Who doesn’t love a sweet, earnest and strong Heroine who’s up against an angry huge intimidating Alpha? Thanks again the GR and to Val for reminding me of this series. Good to dive back in. The world building is strong and layered. And the hot stuff is rather nicely hot. I’m going to try out the authors dark mafia romance series now starting with Detour. We’ll see how that goes!
This was a rough read. Got to about 68% before I really started skimming. It was much different from the first two, so maybe that’s why I was thrown off. The internal dialogue in the beginning was hard to get through. They really don’t start talking until like 25-30% of the book. And then it just kind of drags. I absolutely loved the first two, so this one probably just wasn’t for me! I’m excited to read the 4th book though!
I started reading this series when Tyson’s book came out. I waited for Masons book, read it, and was frustrated with Amie’s stubbornness. Therefore, I started reading other books. Now, coming back, I’m a little pissed at myself for not writing better reviews for books 1&2. So, to prepare me for the next book, I’m giving myself some details this time.
This book was long, but I hear the next one is longer. I had to take away a star for that though. I feel like it could’ve still been a great story if we took out some useless details, like describing Cecily’s bathroom on top of the convenience store.
Ok, so Erica (Rikka) is a witch. An impatient one, too eager to learn how to use her powers. She see’s Riley one day, out with his pack, and falls for him. Then, one night, she’s at her aunts house where she decides to drink. Unbeknownst to her, in her haste she picked up spelled wine. The wine allowed her to cast a love spell on Riley. They meet, almost mate, the Supernatural Council Collective finds out and makes her fake her death and spend the next 7 years away from Riley. During that time, Riley suffers tremendously, and he’s absolutely livid when he finds her again. The pack makes Riley and Rikka spend a week locked in together where they eventually work out their problems. Then, Wyatt, the only alpha from another pack, attempts to kidnap Rikka because: 1. the previous witch Wyatt kidnapped (a Starling, like Aviva), escaped. 2. Wyatt’s father was killed by either Tyson or his kidnapper “father”. 3. Because the pack held on to Wyatt’s sister, Stacy, who mates with Grayson. Rikka ends up saving the day with her magic, saving the lives of 3 pack Alphas.
The SCC comes to explain their part in keeping Rikka and Riley apart for 7 years. One of them that comes, Aviva Starling suggests doing a witch circle in the woods to share Rikka’s power to other covens, and her (Rikka’s) aunt Mimi, to give her more life to live. Aviva is overcome with desire for all the magic, and almost kills, dying in the process.
Wyatt and his underlings show up to cause some shit, he says Sherry, Jase’s bitch sister, is his mate. He kidnaps Jessie (Rikka’s sister), sets a bomb at the barn where they were all celebrating, and at Tyson’s house, putting Ivy in danger. SCC steps in and suggests that Wyatt’s allowed to take his mate, Sherry (bitch), in return for Jessie Young back. Rikka saves the day again, killing all those involved except Sherry, and by extension, Wyatt. Our pack files “charges” against Wyatt’s pack, that are to be dealt with later. Wyatt escapes with Sherry.
At the end, Sergei (vampire, SCC) asks Rikka to help him deter his next mate that’ll happen in 20 years. Vivi says they can’t intervene.
Grayson’s mom, Soliel, also calls him asking to meet and keep it a secret.

I have been in one of *the worst* book slumps I’ve ever had. I’m a prolific and avid reader and 2023 has brought me multiple book slumps and I’m so over it. I’ve had such a hard time wanting to read or listen to anything lately that I’ve now got a kindle full of books vying for my attention, releases I’d been waiting for and am actually excited to have such a chunk of tasty long awaited books to dive into. This was at the very top of my list and it didn’t disappoint.
You definitely need to read Wild and Twisted before starting this one because the stories are very intricately woven and overlapping. I don’t know how this author keeps track of all these threads but bless her for having this ability and storytelling skill.
This is marked for spoilers but I’m here to remind you there will be spoilers below this point.
I’ll admit I was a teeny bit apprehensive about starting this one book. While this was the new release I had been most anxiously awaiting and dying to read it has some elements that I usually avoid like the plague. It’s clearly a second chance romance and that is my most detested trope. I will skip over second chance books mixed into series or drop the whole series if the books aren’t really skippable. I dislike second chance *that much*. Also the h is the one perceived to be *at fault* for the separation so H is extremely angry with her and I don’t usually read books where h is the one in the wrong.
DD Prince has some magical powers that can make me read things I would normally automatically pass up *and* I end up loving them. This was the same. I went in wary and came out loving it and feeling a bit dumb for not trusting her skill as a storyteller. It’s magic, she’s got to be a sorceress or something.
So we start the book with H extremely angry and avoiding h. The h is very contrite and hurt and feels extremely guilty. She’s ready to sacrifice her happiness for his. The H just wants to avoid her completely and he tries very hard to do so. His own instincts and pack members are making that a difficult task.
So they end up forced together by his family’s insistence (30% ish) and then literally *stuck* together via his knot. He succumbs to the mating urge around 35% but then his knot won’t let go. It allowed for them to have to face things. Then when he was finally unstuck his wolf, which h calls Scooby, wouldn’t let him take back over right away and that helped him see h through new eyes.
By 50% all the cards are on the table and H is desperate and determined to set everything right between them and move forward as a couple. Of course, there are still hurdles to cross and more story to be told but they are together through it.
The h’s guilt for setting in motion the punishment that befell them and precipitated the separation for 7 years is palpable. I felt sorry for both of them and I still feel like they are owed something by the overly harsh punishment. I’m now actively dying for the next book about Grey and his mate, and I’m hoping we’ll see good things happening for this H/h throughout the series.
Virgin h No manwhore No OM drama No actual OW drama 7 year separation pre-book Both celibate during separation No breakups once together No cheating HEA Epilogue
Safety - it’s mostly, pretty safe, the h saves her v card for H even if he doesn’t want it (he totally does)
The H’s sexual history is left vague prior meeting h but he remains celibate during the 7 years he thinks h is dead.
Once he knows she’s alive and he’s angry he goes to a bar intending to pick up someone to have sex with. He says he flirts with the waitress and we see her flirt back. Then h’s relative shows up and tells him he’ll regret it if he follows through with some other truths. He is aggravated but leaves alone. He turns the waitress away when she shows up at his hotel a bit later. She’s never seen again in the book.

“My mate. You’re here. Do you know how badly I ached for you? "You’re here. You’re alive. And you’re mine. Nobody’s ever gonna keep us apart again."
What time is it, Mr. Wolf?
Time to read Wicked by DD Prince.
Why? Witch, please, because it's spellbindingly awesome!
I have been so excited for Riley Savage and Erica 'Rikki' Young's story for so long, and I was delighted to be a beta reader for the upcoming release.
I knew this one would be emotional and amazing, and it didn't disappoint. Fated mates who found each other seven years ago, only for Riley to believe his mate had drowned in the river.
The super alpha wolf shifter has grieved for his mate for so long. But when he caught her scent a while ago and discovered she was still alive, it equally gutted and angered Riley.
Now, the time is right for Rikki's return. But her mate is not happy to see her and refuses to speak with her.
However, Riley's anger is separating him not only from his wolf but also his pack. So the other six council super alphas in the pack take the decision to make him face his mate. The pair must spend a week alone together in Ty's isolated cabin.
And the results are so hot, and just a little bit hilarious 😂 Riley gives into fate and knots his mate, marking her as his... however, his knot won't release... and oh, my, you do (k)not want to miss these scenes 🥵🔥🥵
But danger lurks, and the pair must face many challenges along the way.
And can Riley forgive his mate for deceiving him for so long? Or will he ultimately choose to sever their connection?
This was an emotional tale. It was sad to see these two separated for so long, I definitely think Erica's punishment was too strong for her 'crime'.
And Riley, omg, he's so swoon-worthy. I want him! Every time I read one of these shifter's stories by DD, I just wish they were real. Swoon 🥰
And he says things like, "I won’t allow them to mistake your goodness for weakness. I’ll be your strength.”
I have to say, I adored his wolf, too. Scooby Dooby was so cute 😍 He knew what was up, even if Riley couldn't figure himself out 🤣🐺
Wicked is only ready for release now, yet I'm already desperate for the next couple of books in the series. Sorry, DD, it's your own fault 🤣 I just can't wait for more... and my excitement for Bailey and Jase is through the roof! (Even if it'll take a lot to get Jase out of my bad books! Let Bailey's revenge begin 😈🤣)
If you want a series with hot, possessive, touch-her-and-die, alpha heroes; fiesty, likeable heroines; laughs, high heat and so much deliciousness, then this is the book - and series - for you!
Wicked is a bewitching read that you will (k)not want to end! 😈🐺✨️
I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t read this book but if you love the Only One Bed and Forced Proximity tropes this is the ULTIMATE book for you. D.D. puts these two thru the forced proximity ringer and I was HERE FOR IT!
This book is definitely not as dark as the previous 2 in this series, however it’s got dark elements and the jealous/possessive growly alphas that we’ve come to love and expect from D.D. Although, I definitely wanted to smack Riley in the first half of the book before he came to his senses.
Speaking of which, this book is FULL of angst and definitely more of a slow burn… however once the proverbial smut damn breaks there is no stopping it!
This was a fantastic spooky season kickoff book and if you love jealous/possessive alphas with a rejected mate (sort of) vibe with lots of magic and knotting than look no further! (Definitely read the series in order, otherwise you will be lost.)
Ever since Riley’s character was introduced in Wild (book 1), and I learned of the pain of his loss, I wanted to hug him, and I so desperately craved his HEA. I honestly thought Riley would be who I rooted for in this story, and not Erica. But, boy I was wrong. Erica - with all her self-sacrificing, self-doubt spoke to my soul.
Wicked delivers a perfectly crafted story, that’s utterly immersive. The balance of humour and angst kept me turning the pages. And the world building was incredibly well thought out, and just gave the story something extra, something special.
If you’re a fan of shifter / witchy romance - grab this book and hang-on tight, you’re in for a journey and a half!
Tropes: alpha wolf shifter-witch pairing / second chance/ rejected mates/forced proximity/copulation tie (yes – the knot gets STUCK 😏)
5 star read! I was in the middle of a post-apocalyptic book binge but had to stop and read this as soon as I could. I've been anticipating this book since the last one and I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this with the witch/shifter aspect as I so love the surprised "human" tropes, but of course I absolutely loved it. Erica and Riley's story is so heartbreaking and wonderful, I love the flashback of the characters that showed how they got to the point that they were in and the journey to trying to amend that. The world building is so good in this series, so glad she is already in the midst of writing the next one, I am so intrigued with the bits and pieces we have been given regarding the other shifters, I cannot wait for the next ones!
I really like this series. The characters are wonderful. The seven alphas are hot shifters who work well to ensure the good of the pack .This is Riley and Erica's story. I finally get the answers about their separation and what happened all those years ago between them.i actually cried when Erica was on the phone talking to her sister about the future. There are many twists and turns I did not see coming.
would’ve liked more focus on erica and riley’s relationship, and a lot of the magic and SCC plot wasn’t really fleshed out enough imo, it felt all over the place. I am glad jase had a confrontation with bailey over her crush on him though, like it was kinda pathetic how she’s pining over a man that doesn’t want her and has never been interested in her, like girl stand up! have som dignity, move on. it was giving me sm second hand embarrassment i hope she ends up with someone else.

When these two book up omg it's explosive. I loved everything about this book. The hurt, anger, pain, truths that are brought to light, a knot that made even my lady bits hurt, to the banter and nicknames it all drew me in and I wasn't ready for it to end. I can't wait to get my hands on Jase and Bailey's story.
A sign of a great book: even though it’s already a beefy story, I was still sad when I reached “The End” and had no more left to read. It’s helping to hear DD is already working on book four and we could be reading it within months! This book brings you all the pain and angst so it can then bring you all the steamy smexxy times and a sweet HEA. Getting to know Erica’s sisters. I hope the muse one day speaks loud enough for DD to give us a Witch series. And I look forward to some day seeing the extension of the Nectar series as teased in the final pages. If you haven’t started the Savage Alpha series yet, what are you waiting for?!
RILEY HOLDS SUCH SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART I LOVE MY BOYS CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT RIDE WITH GRAY ❤️ in my time I’ve read lots of werewolf/shifters/mate books but starting from wild twisted and wicked those are my top 3 the characters? The storyline? Who wouldn’t want to have a man like that for themselves? Great work DD can’t wait for another savage alpha shifter 🥂
Omg, I didn't think that I would love Reily Savage more than his cousin. This story was awesome in every way possible. All of the characters seemed to have a major part in the storyline. This review is short sweet and simple because it suits the story.
