Alexia Harmon is a human, wife, and mother. Alexia is having a hard time dealing with life at the moment. One night she hears a noise outside she goes out to investigate and the next thing she knows she is no longer on Earth.

She has been transported to another planet. How she has no idea. When she awakes she is surrounded by aliens. What do the aliens want with Alexia? What are they doing to her? They keep knocking her out with this substance in a tube. Alexia thinks they are going to help her but the next thing she knows she is waking up once again.

In The Defender, the aliens have Alexia facing one trial after another so they can assess her strengths. Alexia must battle alien creatures during the trials the aliens put her through. The Defender reminded me of The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner.

The Defender has been one of the most imaginative stories I think I have ever read. The plot/story is brilliantly written and so out of this world amazing. The Defender is so engrossing and attaches itself to you right from the first page. There is action and suspense on almost every page.

The Defender is filled with twist after twist that will hold your interest long after you have read the last page. It will leave you wanting more of this world and in my opinion that is what makes a book great.

I would recommend The Defender to anyone who likes reading space stories, aliens, and visiting other planets. One-click your copy of The Defender today and step into a new world of aliens!

Great read! The best sci-fi novels have strong characters and The Defender certainly delivers. The lead character, Alexa and her companions grow and find unexpected strength as they are forced into the roles of heroes. Really good story telling takes you into Alexa’s mind as she struggles with issues of anxiety and self doubt. Mix that with some great battle scenes and descriptions of alien worlds that came alive in my imagination, The Defender will not disappoint! And it is the first in a trilogy! Looking forward to the next book!

I REALLY liked it. I gave The Defender 5 stars because I read it twice and there are some scenes that really stand out in my mind because I was able to create a wonderful image in my mind's eye ( Cataloguing and the Final Battle). The characters are relatable to me based on my own life experiences. I felt like this was The Hunger Games mixed with Alien: Covenant. The The Defender gives the reader entertainment throughout and the plot evolves organically in a very pleasing way. Will read again.

I loved reading this book! I am not usually a fan of fantasy novels, however, I found that I didn't want to put this one down. It is fast paced, has great descriptive writing, and throws surprises in all along the way. I was pulled into the world of Gatlin and can not wait for the next book to come out!
