Saw this and thought of getting it for a friends husband. Read the first few pages and had to physically restrain myself from burning every copy in existence. Misogynistic bullshit. Fuming with rage after reading any of this actually.

This book made me feel sorry for all the women whose partners read this and genuinely think this is a good book. I don't appreciate pregnant women being made fun of like this. In this book, you'll be called a "raging bitch". You'll be told that your body is ugly and that if your partners blinks really fast they might be able to get through having sex with you. You'll also be told that even though you're throwing up at least you're losing weight. I genuinely want to know why this book still exists.

Really disappointed in this book. I think most of the one-star reviews sum up the criticism well, but the real kicker for me is the portion of the book that talks about the dangers of labour. How your wife might die in labour, but your biggest concern isn't the dead wife and mother to your child, it's YOU, DAD! It's you and your worries about how will you care for the child alone - and really that's the only reason you should worry about labour. Screw your dead wife amirite? Yup...this book even manages to turn the fatal risks associated with labour to being about men. That's on top of the raging b*tch comments, weight loss comments, treating women's pregnant bodies as disgusting, dehumanizing pregnant women, and blah blah blah. This book should be pulled from the shelves. I couldn't hate it more if I tried.

As a father of an autistic daughter, and all the challenges that my wife and I went through, and are currently going through at this time, I found this book and the views of this author to be highly offensive. He comes across as such a whiney little bitch, as well as a misogynistic. The author gives me the impression that he is so lazy that I’m surprised he even had the resolve to actually write a book. All the author seems to think about is sex, lusting over young girls and drinking beer, and making all these things the priority over his wife and future child. You’d be forgiven for thinking Jimmy Savile had written it. Pathetic.

pathetic misogynistic bullshit written by a man who thinks vaginal ultrasounds are sexual activities that constitute cheating on your husband. men, here’s a revolutionary idea: pick up *the very same pregnancy book* your wife is reading, learn what’s happening to her body, ask her questions, and try responding by using empathy. you need to be listening to *women* about pregnancy. you don’t need a “survival guide” written by an insecure male asshole who has never actually experienced it and thinks the entire experience of creating life is actually about his sexual needs. i would give this zero stars if i could.

The whole book is just disgusting. If you are a dad and agreeing with this I just hope that your wife will have a divorce. If you hate pregnant woman then don't impregnate one, it's that easy. The worst sentence was that ,,angry woman who used to be your wife". She is your wife and she's pregnant with YOUR child, that you made TOGETHER. Don't start a family if you're just a big baby who hates his wife. Man aren't lonely enough.

misogyny coated with rainbows and sunshines. Dads if you're ever thinking of doing what the book says, don't. Stopped reading it after a few pages cuz it pissed me off. The book essentially disguises misogyny, selfishness and victim mentality into a "funny" book. Your wife just birthed your child so you might as well TRY to be a good father by NOT reading this book

Wow! The best gift ever to my husband (and me!)
First and foremost- such an important topic, all the pregnancy guides are written for women, and that’s great for us, but keeps the husband out of the picture.
This guide made me laugh, got me emotional, and also helped me realize that I’m normal….
To all the expecting couples out there - a MUST.

Easy to read and Digest
For new dads, this is a great introduction into the 9 month pregnancy process. This is an easy, straightforward read that covers the key aspects of what you can expect as a father and birthing partner.
If you struggle to get through some of the denser material on this topic I highly recommend picking this one up.
