Untouchable #11

Legacy and Lovers

Rate this book
When did we become the adults? When did we become the ones who had to make the hard calls? One by one, we’ve all left our teenage years behind. College brought new challenges even as Bound Hearts brought us more.

Whether we’re making music, love, war, games, or trouble, we’ve found a good balance. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Together, we know we can do anything.

We’ve learned that even being apart doesn’t mean we aren’t together.

Life has a habit of throwing curve balls. School, careers, new hobbies, friends in need, and family demands are hitting us from every angle. We’re going to need each other more than ever.

Archie, Coop, Ian, Jake, and I are a team. We’re constantly figuring it out and sometimes, we fight. We also make up.

And we’ll have each other’s backs, today, tomorrow, and into the future.

*Please note this is a reverse harem and the author suggests you always read the forward in her books. Contains some bullying elements, mature situations, violence, and is recommended for 17+. This is the eleventh in a series and the story will continue through future books.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

I can’t believe this is the second to last book of the series, I’m not ready for it to end! Frankie and her guys are going to live with me forever for sure.

I absolutely love how much of a close family unit Frankie, Ian, Archie, Jake and Coop all are. I really felt them get even stronger in this book, which I didn’t think was possible, but as always they had new challenges to tackle and they handled them together as the family they are.

I found myself smiling constantly and feeling nostalgic throughout this book. The parallels of where they all are now compared to where they started was quite emotional to read, they’ve all come so far!

I absolutely love the Dad’s, Hank and Eddie, and hearing Frankie and Archie call them that was amazing, they deserve the relationships so much. Thanksgiving and all the family noise made me grin for sure.

I was crying tears of happiness and swooning at the end, I can’t wait for the last book!

This has been quite a ride

You all are going to have bear with me because this is going to be my personal diary platform. Surprising since this is the penultimate book, not the final but I find I have so much to say so...you're forewarned.

First, I read this book while at work. Yes my actual job. I ignored everyone & everything & basically got paid to read. Why? Because there's no way to put this book down. I'm serious. I also may have freaked out my co-workers but we'll get to that later.

Second, I'm not normally a fan of contemporary YA books where they're still in high school. Just not usually my thing so while I've loved Heather's books I skipped these. I started them because I was tired of the references & not getting them. Then I just thought "why not?" Well I devoured 10 books in 2 weeks & while I'm not shocked I liked them (I mean c'mon), I was surprised by just how much I fell in love with Frankie, the guys, and all of the wonderful side characters.

Now about this book - it was an emotional roller coaster. I would love to go into details but I refuse to spoil anything. So in vague terms - I loved Thanksgiving. It had me cracking up and scaring my co-workers with my laughter. I also cried oh so much during this book. I absolutely adore how honestly this dealt with grief. I lost my dad unexpectedly 2 years ago and the theme, the hurts, the memories just really resonated with me. I love their growth and I especially love Frankie's growth. She's gone through so much but she's come out of her shell and owned who she is as a person - one with wants, wishes, and needs, and maybe most importantly one who accepts and seeks help when needed. This just brings me such a huge smile. The last chapters had me crying happy tears. They were so sweet, a little funny and just OMG! I wish I had the words to describe just how much ALL of this book meant to me - this YA/NA book 11 of a series that I wasn't sure I would even get past book 1 and yet here we are. Also, when I figured out the little nugget with the song titles I squealed because I felt that so hard. Thank you Heather for such a wonderful book that made my co-workers side eye me as I worked through all of the emotions it brought forth. On the bright side they all gifted me chocolate and tissues so I'm set.

Absolute perfection! Frankie and the boys always bring all the feelings. Frankie’s emotional growth in Legacy and Lovers is beautiful. She’s overcome so many hardships. Through all of them, Coop, Jake, Ian and Archie have been her rocks. The love they all share is beautiful.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m extremely invested in the well being of Frankie and her brother boyfriends. I cried legit tears many times - promise some were happy tears! There is some sensitive subject matter in this part of their story. Heather Long handles it beautifully, but just a heads up to check the trigger warning for this one. I can’t believe there’s only one book left - I’m not ready to say goodbye!

Unforgettable penultimate book!
Heather is an incredible author at making each book in this beast of a series stand out from each other and this is no different as the penultimate! 😍
There will be sad tears, happy tears and tears of laughter as Frankie and her F-men 😂😂😂 work through what life is throwing at them!
Although they’ve all always been quite mature you really begin to see and feel their transition into true adulthood in this book. They all steady to ask some really big questions about their future due to certain situations in their lives 😬 but they tackle it together and what it could possibly bring for them in some tough but heart-warming conversations 😃
The parents start to meddle in well-intentioned ways which brings in some interesting thoughts and events but it really solidifies they’re whole group as a family 🥰
Despite some grief, stress and heartache this book is really about their togethernesses and what it means to them - a sentiment that really shines 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Legacy and Lovers is sweet with a lot of cozy moments between all our MCs that give you the warm fuzzies. You get to see how they have grown and what type of adults they are becoming. There are many emotional moments they get to work through and work through them they do. It’s hard to believe this is the next to last book in the series! You are going to love it.

I can't believe there is only one more book to go

Thing I love about this series and the characters is it not about the destination but the journey and Heather made sure to pave out the road so beautifully for that journey.

I finished this later than planned more due to life stuff than anything else so I am now going to jump into book 12 and finish this series. Bitter sweet

Frankie and her guys get closer in each book, and their bond strengthens even further. They are still overcoming the losses of the past few years, and are looking forward to the future. Although their families can't stop hounding them about their plans with their special relationship. However, Frankie and her guys are happy to keep things the way they are, until the end of the book when there is something that I know we were all expecting, but we don't know what the answer will be until next book is out.

“I would never deny her a single experience in life, even if I wanted to make sure life never got another chance to take a crack at her.”

Oh my gosh. After reading 11 books in the series so far this one might be my favorite book in the series! The love Ian Coop Archie and Jake have for Frankie is just wow🥺

“It was like falling in love over and over. That was the kind of ride I never wanted to get off.”

this book at times had me in tears and I rarely tear up while reading. The steam of course is just as great as the plot😍, I really enjoyed the heart to heart between Archie and Eddie and am so happy they are working on their relationship! I love over the course of this series how strong Frankie has gotten and how the boys and Rachel have become her rock, I aspire to be like her in life❤️ I can’t wait for book 12😍 oh and y’all ain’t ready for the last 4 chapters😭🥺❤️

“You guys are princes no matter what world I’m in.”

Legacy and Lovers is the eleventh novel in Heather Long’s Untouchable series. I stumbled upon this series while searching Amazon one day for something to read, and the algorithm worked in my favor, giving me this series. I can’t believe I am almost at the end of it, and the next book will be the last, but I’m happy knowing that Frankie and her boys will finally reach their HEA. They deserve it, especially Frankie, who has been put through a lot in this series. This was another book that definitely put Frankie through some things, but her guys were there every step of the way.

Frankie’s character has grown so much since the first novel, but in this novel, she’s really growing as an adult, and so are Archie, Coop, Ian, and Jake. They are learning what is essential in their lives and how they will soon be leaving college and embracing the future with whatever they choose. It’s a good thing Frankie has all her guys with her, and they understand what she needs, and she understands their needs, too. This book touches on something that happens with Frankie, too, and Heather did a fantastic job of handling this particular part of Frankie and the guy’s story, but it may be a trigger for some readers.

One of the best things about this series is the communication that happens between the characters and how vital it is, but there are times they argue, but they make-up. It’s all about communication and Heather writes it well for this series with her characters.

I love that there are several POVs and not just one, and I get to understand what each character is going through, not just Frankie’s. It’s been evident since the beginning of the series that all the guys adore and love Frankie and would do anything to make her happy. The way the book ended definitely shows how much they are willing to go all the way with her, and I loved that it was finally not a sad cliffhanger. It was an emotional one but it was a feel-good one. (If that makes sense).

This book gets four stars from me, and I can’t wait to finish the last book in the series, but I am sad it’s ending. To the readers who waited for the books to be released, I applaud you because here is one who would have been on the edge of my seat waiting for each book.

If you have not read this series, I do recommend reading these books in order. Each book has a cliffhanger, some more emotional than others.

Why did you read this book?
There are a few series I’ve been wanting to read. This is one of them.

What format did you read this book in?
Read it as an ebook on Kindle.

Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment?
I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.

What genres do you think this book belongs to?
Chick Lit, Contemporary, Fiction, Romance, Adult

What was your favorite part in the book? SPOILERS
The scene where they get a dog for their butler, so he has someone take care of.

Who would you suggest this book to?
Anyone who likes slow building romances.

What is your general opinion/ rating of this book? SPOILERS
This I felt like the beginning dragged on a bit, but the last half of the book made up for it. Archie is dealing with the grief of loosing his grandfather. They are all trying to manage their college lives. Everyone worked out a good holiday visiting schedule with their families. Archie’s dad shows that is honestly trying and Archie is coming around. All of this could have been shortened in my opinion. What I did like was that the author covered a subject not many romance books cover, and that is miscarriage. This is something that happens a lot to women, and it’s rarely discussed. I was excited that the MC was prego and I was heart broken that it wasn’t a viable pregnancy. The way each of the guys proposed to her at the end was sweet and matched well with each of their personalities. (MC is so darn lucky.) Overall, I liked this book and I am interested to see what the last book of the series has instore for them.

How intense are the intimacy scenes?
The intimacy scenes are vividly detailed. Menage. Voyeurism. BDSM.

At what “burn” level is the romance?
HOT burn.

Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender?
There are four love interest, all of them males, and childhood friend.
Coop, Ian, Jake, and Archie.

Any trigger warnings?
Mental Health: Trivializing Mental Illness, Trauma
Sexual Content: Explicit Sex Scene
Violence and Death: Death, Death of a Loved One, Infant Death(?)
Other: Miscarriage, Abortion, Profanity

Once again if you haven't read the other books in the series STOP, go back and start at the beginning.

This book starts pretty much where the last one ended. It's the beginning of their third year at NYU. It's been a busy two weeks and Frankie wants some alone time with Coop. He's volunteering at a center in Flushing so it's a bit of a commute, but Frankie doesn't mind taking the subway to meet up with him to travel back home together. This was so much fun and I loved the phone conversation with Hank.

Jake's taken up playing hockey and he's pretty good at it. He loves that Frankie comes to watch even his practices and I loved seeing the after of this one.

Frankie and Rachel always get me laughing and when Frankie models for her it's so much fun. Rachel drops a bit of a bomb, but dang if Frankie doesn't counter it like a pro.

I think the interactions with Jeremy and Miss Abigail are hysterical, but she's a puppy after all and does need to have manners.

Ian and Frankie have some new things to think about with their music and it's both fun and exciting for them. School however is the priority right now.

The person everyone is concerned about is Archie. He's buried himself in projects and working long hours. It's his way of dealing with Grandpa Ted's death, but he's isolating himself. I really loved the way Frankie stepped in.

Now all that's just a touch of the beginning of this book. This relationship is always sizzling and full of fun innuendos.

When everyone gets sick after Halloween, we see more of how they always take such good care of each other.

Thanksgiving is quite the occasion with all the families. It was fun and their was a lot of handling the question of their plans for the future with Frankie.

A surprise event had me tearing up. Frankie and the guys really show how much they've grown here and I don't think it could have been handled better.

Archie's grief also takes a turn and with Frankie and surprisingly Eddie it gets better for all of them.

A big plus in this one is the happy cliffhanger, it was absolutely perfect!

As much as I don't want this series to end, I know the next book is the last. I can't wait for their HEA.

Have you ever became friends with people in a book , and then aren’t prepared to say goodbye to them? That is exactly how I feel about Frankie and her boys. I didn’t want to read this book, because the next book means it’s over . My thinking was if I didn’t read this book then I wouldn’t have to say goodbye . However I was reminded of a quote from one of my favorite tv shows and it says “every song ends but is that any reason to not enjoy the music ?” And that’s what I did and I dived into Legacy and Lovers and I loved every minute of it .

The first half of the book I thought time was just moving too fast . Book 1 started with them at the beginning of their senior year of high school and now book 11 is them in their junior year of college . I understand now we kinda have to fly through their college years to get to the happy ever after that book 12 should offer however I want more of Frankie and her boys. I’m being 100 percent selfish in my wants but I just can’t imagine not reading about them

I was reminded in this book just how much these characters have grown over the past 11 books , and of the journey they’ve been on . For me this book started to shape things together . There wasn’t an edge on the seat cliffhanger that I have come to expect in books . This book had everything one could possibly want in a book. It had happy moments , sad moments , moments of the gang being there for one another . I laughed and I cried . I wished I could have hug Frankie through some of her troubles . I fell in love with Archie’s dad , and I mourned the loss of Archie’s grandpa while he navigated the loss .

For me this book felt like the last book and I 100 percent would be ok with it had we gotten the answer to the big question . I’m excited to see where book 12 takes us , but I’m not ready to say goodbye

Frankie and her boys will always have a piece of my heart .

If you are looking for a new series to start, I cannot recommend the Untouchable series enough

**Legacy and Lovers is the 11th book in the Untouchable series and you absolutely have to read them in order. **

L&L is the second to last book in this series. That is such a bittersweet thing to say. We have come so far with this group and this penultimate book puts us in such a great position to end the series. This book covered a lot of areas in setting us up for the end but it was done in the most perfect and fluid way. We see the whole group moving on with their adult lives and learning how to balance their time and their relationships. Archie, poor Archie. He is still dealing with the loss he suffered in the last book and it broke my heart at times. There was also another super emotional event in the book that you probably want to check the trigger warning for. I think Heather did an amazing job with that whole situation. There wasn't only sadness and heartache though. We see the group come together to support each other. Their families come together and show their support as well. It was really a beautiful experience to see how far they have come and how much they have all grown. Then there is that ending. Heather has left us with some pretty intense cliffhangers in this series. We have had some endings that left us emotionally unstable. This ending was emotional for sure but in the best of ways.

I don't really have too much to say about this book b/c every time I type something I think, no I need to save that for the last book review. Sometimes it's hard to believe that we are 11 books in and these characters are still going so strong. It's sad to know that we only have one book left but I'm also excited to see where their journey takes them for the final book. This is definitely a series that will stick with you and make you forget that you are reading a book and not talking to your friends. So I'll just leave you with this, L&L is another amazing book in this fantastic series that is a definite must read.

WOW…what a ride it has been. I cannot believe that we are on book 11 of 12 for Frankie and the Guys. I cannot say enough things about how much I loved and adored Legacy and Lovers, by just the tiniest margin it’s my 2nd favorite in the series. I loved getting to see the scenes of Frankie and each of the guys. I loved going back to “simple times” of how easy just loving their partner is/was and how life moves on in so many ways for us as we get older.

I continue to adore Frankie’s relationship with Hank and had you told me in book 5 that I was going to end up loving Eddie was much as I do after this book, I’d have laughed in your face and told you NO WAY. So much growing up has happened for everyone. Life changes, god has different plans, new and better choices happen, but at the end of the day, it’s your relationships with others that drive everything. Probably the saddest part of this book for me, was seeing Rachel plan to move on to start her life story and travel to make her dreams come true.

I loved the family time they all get in this book, Thanksgiving was absolutely amazing and hope they continue that tradition in the years to come. I love watching Jeremy train Miss Abigail and remind her of her manners (everyone wants a well behaved dog, but that also means the adults need to learn how to make that happen as well), Team Standish as I continue to call Frankie & the BOys is my favorite part of this book, they ALL love each other, and at the center of their love is making sure each of them is supported and has the things they need. How they handle what life throws at them? Simply flawless, and I love that they just care about each other.

Bottom line, there’ s reason this book was marketed as the penultimate book in the series….it’s amazing and does not disappoint. I can’t wait to see how Farewell and Forever goes

I have no words to describe my love of this book, this whole series really, these characters and this author!!

This book you guys!!! We have one more book with these characters we all love so much, and I am so ridiculously sad about that!

I couldn't put this book down once it popped up on my Kindle. I love getting lost in this world with Frankie and the guys.

I loved how much Frankie takes care of her guys. She will go to them if they are working/studying late, or plan special things. And when they are sick, ugh its just so much TLC and I couldn't stop smiling. The love between all of them is just perfect.

The Thanksgiving gathering was the best!! I was cracking up at some parts, and it kinda made me miss having huge family get togethers.

Heather wrote the way they handled grief in this book perfectly!!

Frankie has grown so much over the course of this series, and been through so much, and I ADORE how much she has opened up and owns who she is now.

Ian, Jake, Archie, and my boo Coop are still dreamboats, that love their girl unconditionally and wholeheartedly.

I love how even though they are all busy with school, work and life and going in a hundred different directions, they still make time to be a family and just be together.

I might have cried like a baby while reading this, and I will probably bawl my eyes out when this series is over, but I love this wild ride we have gone on so very much. Thank you Heather, for this amazing series and these characters that feel like part of the family.

I cant wait for the next book, but I'm so sad at the same time. Heather will give them the perfect ending though, so I'm not worried ❤

Wow Heather pulled out some big emotional guns in this book for these guys. Some events were utterly unexpected and some are heart breaking processes that need to be endured and worked through.

Frankie, girl I take my hat off to you in this book. You have grown from a broken girl to a women full of emotional depth, an inner strength that astounds those who meet you and an undying love for four guys who own you heart and soul. She is the rock that grounds each of them when life takes over, she is the heart of their unit, of their family. She reminds them in every word and deep that they are valued and loved.

Coop, Ian, Jake and Archie grow up and put on their big boy pants in this book. They look forwards to the future and discuss what their hopes and dreams are, some they all intrinsically know they want and some ideas are thrust upon them. When things change at the drop of a hat these guys rally round their girl in the perfect way, they are 1000% on team Frankie and even though Heather has written a very difficult and emotionally challenging situation for the five to gave. These guys are outstanding and their bonding will make you cry and fill your heat up with love.

Without a doubt your eyes will leak as you experience their highs and lows but the love and desire I have for them to get their hea is riding me so hard. This book is all about looking to the future as individuals, as a family and as lovers. It bright, its heart breaking and it fulfilling, this is the penultimate time we get to join Frankie and her guys, now I'm left desperately in need of the answer to THE QUESTION!!

If I could date it higher than 5 stars, then I would!

If you haven't already read this book/series, then get downloading... You won't regret it.
Legacy & Lovers is phenomenal! The continuation of Frankie and the guys is an experience tugging your heart and emotions in so many ways.
"I'm mourning your loss—what you lost"
Trust me, I'm right there with them... Feeling everything alongside them. So many words spoke to me in this book and gave me that little bit of hope. The way this author tackles issues that everyone will go through/has done at some point in their lives and some that are tough to read about.. she does with grace and makes the experience so hauntingly beautiful. The amount of love & hard work that's been put into this book shows, the world building is constant and as the series has continued, the characters come alive more & more. Frankie and the guys, Jeremy and Rachel, as well as some other characters I've grown to love, will always be special to me. The relationships with their families and friends are done so intricately that you can't not love them. This author is brilliant... She's somehow made a character that I was wishing extreme diarrhoea on, to absolutely loving and rooting for him.
With each flick of a page, you will love Frankie and the guys even more. Some of the parts with them had me crying with laughter and some my heart just broke. They will leave you swooning soooooo many times that you will not be able to keep track.
I can't believe this is the second to last book in the Untouchable series. 11 books so far... It truly is amazing! I honestly can't wait for the next book!

Definitely recommend!

Wow….I don’t know how to feel about the cliffhanger!! I do know that I am hoping that Farewell and Forever gets her but then again I don’t want it to end. I absolutely love Frankie, Coop, Jake, Ian, and Archie. I loved that they asked her that very important question in the order that they met her!! Frankie and the guys have all changed and grow throughout the Untouchable series! I have to commend Heather Long, author, on writing such a fantastic series and making each book special. Each book increases in subjects, trials, and tribulations that need to be overcome or helps them to all grow not only individually and/or as a family. I would say as couples but let’s be real they are a family. If you have not read the series then I highly recommend you do. This may be a long series but it is so worth it. Each book builds onto the next. From high school to college and what comes next will be addressed I am sure in Farewell and Forevers. If you don’t like starting a series till the end then it’s safe to start their series as the last book will be here before readers will know it. It will be very bittersweet to read Farewell and Forevers. It’s gonna be hard to say goodbye to them but I am sure I will reread this series more than once. As I am sure you all know by now….I highly recommend Legacy and Lovers (only if you have read all the books that came before in the series or it might not make sense, although, it could but won’t be as satisfying), The Untouchable series, and Heather Long as an author. Can I say that I really hope Heather will consider a series with the Torched girls? Anyway…Happy reading!!

6/5⭐ Extra Star Read The penultimate book of the untouchable series. So bitter sweet. Sweet in that this is another amazing book in the series. So enjoyable and satisfying. But bitter because we're coming to an end and "parting is such sweet sorrow."

Reading the series is like coming home again and getting lost in the world of these characters. We've been with them for so long through so much. It feels like your their in the story living life with them. There is no other series like this where you know the characters on this level and get to explore their relationship (especially a reverse harem) relationship on this level.

This book we saw so much growth from all of the characters. There are so many great moments from franking take care of the guys and of course the guys wouldn't get the guys if they didn't take care of Frankie, Thanksgiving with all the families, Archie working on things with his dad, dealing with brief, holidays, Rachel, slice of life with our favs. And a big thing that a lot of people go through I thought was handled so well. And then the ending is just superb, leading into the last book. This is such an enjoyable satisfying read. And great lead up to the conclusion of the series.

I could read about these characters forever but I can see Heather Long's endgame coming and I really think that this series is just a masterpiece. An enjoyable roller coaster, slice of life, comfort read. A realistic reserve harem series with character going through extraordinary things. I can't recommend this series enough, it's truly favorite.

Frankie and crew are back in the penultimate book of the addictive friends to lovers Untouchable series by Heather Long. At this point in the journey these are so much more than characters in a book. They are close friends who I feel as though I’ve been traveling right alongside on this wild ride.

Thinking back to that very first scene in book 1 it’s amazing to see the confident, vibrant woman Frankie has become. My heart is happy knowing she has such a strong support system and so many people around who love her. Not only has Frankie herself grown immensely but her relationships, both romantic and platonic, have deepened and strengthened. I appreciated that we got moments of Frankie with each love interest in addition to fun family times.

Along with the happy, sexy and sweet times were moments of heartache as some characters are still working through their grief. L&L had a couple of surprise shocking moments that threw all of us for a loop but as usual, Frankie and her guys come out on top as they love and support one another through good times and bad.

I think part of what makes this series so special is how relatable the character are and how Heather’s writing always evokes such an emotional response. While reading this series I felt every emotion right alongside Frankie and her guys, and I know the final book is going to be the most intense feeling yet. If you haven’t yet started this series and enjoy friends to lovers RH with loads of emotion, drama and angst I encourage you to pick up book 1, Rules and Roses.

I'm so sad that we are coming to the end of Frankie and her guys! I'm seriously so invested in these characters and I know I'm going to miss them when they aren't around anymore. I can't believe there is only one book left! :(

Legacy and Lovers has a different feel than past books. Frankie and the guys are maturing and embracing their careers and where they are headed in the future. Frankie really takes on a care-taker roll in this one. Where the guys seem to always rally around her and take care of her, the rolls really reverse in this one. She's still determined and is an over-achiever, but she's very much present and supportive of each of the guys exactly where they are at. She's still healing herself, but you can feel and hear the change in her. I really love where they end up by the end of this book and I cant wait to see where the last book takes us. So many great surprises but still some pain and sadness too. Be careful of the trigger warnings.

Heather has taken us on such a fun journey with these characters. I find myself thinking about them even when I'm not reading about them and that says something really special about Heather and how she writes. It's memorable. Her words are memorable and she really makes you fall in love with the characters. Again, I'll be really sad to see them go but that just means we get to fall in love with lots of new characters. ❤️

Legacy and Lovers

Legacy and Lovers is book ELEVEN of TWELVE. These must be read in order, and you’ll blow right through them all, so just go ahead and start now.

This is bittersweet. The end is in sight. Frankie ad her boys are no longer “kids”, and they face adult issues and adult problems. The drama has mostly died down, but that doesn’t mean these 5(plus all of their extended family) don’t face issues.

This book covers the next year in their lives, the ups and downs, and the continued struggle to cope with the ghosts of their pasts. It also continues their journey into adulthood, and how this family and these people develop as adults, because we all know that just because you hit 18 or 21 doesn’t mean you are capable of dealing with the problems that being a college student or even adult can through at you

As for as the steam, I’m in love with this group. They are completely in love, and they know just what each other needs. This author has given them a grown up relationship as these books have progressed, and this book(while nothing NEW), still lives up to the steam level you’d expect. Scenes that make me wish my husband was home when I read them 🥵🥵🥵

I don’t cry at just any book, but I’m expecting tears as the last book comes around. I’ve never loved a long series like this before, and I doubt I ever will again. 🥺🥺🥺

Story 📖: 5/5
Heat 🔥: 5/5

You might think that 11 books in a series following the same characters could get stale. In the case of The Untouchables, with Frankie and her guys, you would be absolutely incorrect.

This is a sweet slice of life story about a woman and her unconventional relationship. Frankie, Coop, Jake, Ian, and Archie are juniors in college. Like many readers who have been on a similar path, they are focused on finishing school, figuring out career paths, and talking about the future. I love these books because they largely focus on how the characters react to things that anyone could experience. Grief, stress, family issues, etc. And though there are several plot points where you may have to suspend disbelief or where they’re dealing with things that most people won’t experience for themselves, it’s surrounded by enough reality to keep the story grounded. Legacy and Lovers is a perfect penultimate book, full of sweetness, sass, and spice, with just enough angst thrown in to keep the story moving, but not so much that it drags it down.

There is one more book in this series and I’m both excited and sad to see the end coming. Frankie and the guys feel like old friends at this point, and I look forward to seeing where the future takes them.

Number 11 :’( oh I love Frankie and her boys. This was everything. Heather outdid herself. Talk about perfect, this book was exactly what I needed to get me out of my book slump. This group, no matter what, always brings a smile to my face. Sheer perfection. Without saying too much, Frankie really has proven herself. She is painting this light as a young adult rather than a dumb, naïve teenager. The issues that are handled are hard. Though, the gang works through them, it shows the growth they have endured through all the hurdles life has tossed at them. There is not a group of guys I love more. I loved the forward direction the gang embraces. While most young adults are scared of the future and shy away from the tough discussions, these guys don’t. I love it. I’m not sure if my eyes got a couple drops of water in them because it I’m allergic to my kindle or it was the story, but be ready…and we only have one book left. I think I’m going to do a reread of the books before the last. To really get the depth and evolution of our characters. As always, heather has poured her heart and soul into this book and it truly shows. And I’m just so sad it’s the 11th book 😭🥺

Legacy and Lovers is packed with so many emotions that I felt like I was on a rollercoaster, but a really amazing one! Frankie and her brother boyfriends story continues with their junior year in college. Life is hectic with all of them trying to pursue their dreams and passions while dealing with life in your early twenties. This book is filled with love, laughter, grief, and so many unexpected emotions. I honestly couldn't put this book down and was ugly crying by the end.

I loved seeing a stronger side of Frankie in this book. Book 10 put her through so much so it was great to see how she was overcoming everything. The guys had their own struggles in this book, especially Archie but seeing how everyone supported him brought tears to my eyes. These characters have a place in my heart and I cannot believe there is only one book left! I am torn between wanting to read it as soon as it releases and wanting to delay reading it because I don't want their story to end.

This book does potentially have some triggers so be sure to read the trigger warning. I will say that Long did an amazing job with this potential trigger and made it very realistic for her readers.

As we near the end of Frankie's story, we are being treated to all the "feels". Miss Frankie has come into her young adulthood with grace and strength. Gone is the girl who had to borrow strength from the guys. She is now the woman her guys and Rachel knew her to be all along. You can't help but feel pride in her emotional development. She is intelligent, confident, and has a clear understanding of who she is and what she needs. Her boys have grown into men as well. Their love for Frankie is unquestionable but they also have a deep love for one another. They have developed a true family. And I couldn't love them more. I hurt for Archie, celebrated Coop, worried over Rachel, laughed over Chloe, cheered on Jeremy, and developed a surprising fondness for Eddie. With only one book left, I'm not ready to say goodbye. I never will be. But the gift of Frankie's story is the slice of life we get to enjoy with her and the guys. We get their good times and bad, their misunderstandings, their joys, and their sorrows. Because of this I never have to let them go. They will continue on day after day enjoying their lives and each time I think of them, I will be right there with them.

Let me start by saying this series has my whole heart. I have never read nor stuck with such a long series, I normally get bored and move on, but the fact that I feel like this series is like that comfy grandpa sweater, it's lived in and well loved, speaks volumes I think. The author manages to get you into the characters headspace with the multiple pov, and we are readers really get to see them continue to grow, and develop.
The continued interaction between characters will always be my favorite thing in this series, the devotion not just to Frankie, but really to each other is something I just want to curl up with at night and read over and over. The hurdles these characters go through to just grow, adapt and work towards their HEA is something I never want to let go of, yet I know I will have to after the next and last book. I trust this author to give us a fantastic resolution, and to take care of Frankie and her boys, because after this book, oof, I'm all up in my feelings, and I need to know these characters will be okay.

I love Frankie and her boys, this is one of my favorite couples by Heather Long and this is book 11 out of 12. I am not sure how I feel about them being so close to the end but I know from all of the care and love she puts into her characters it will be amazing.

Frankie starts off with the loss of Grandpa Ted and end of Bound Hearts tour to back to the life of a college student. Poor Archie is struggling with his closet family member being gone and coming to terms with his grief. While the brother boyfriends are there to support and love each other like true family does.

I appreciate how they have grown individuality and as a cohesive group, and I love for better or worse how involved their families are and how they get along so well. I thought Hank and Edward were such a strange but wonderful surprise and Thanksgiving was so sweet.

The end of the book had ups and downs as any true cliff hanger does but this time it ended on wonderful possibilities of what’s to come.

I am dying for Rachels book to come out and I am still team Dominic so fingers crossed
