Marshall and Nora's Story . . .
Well, I guess when you take the blinders off, you can finally see what’s been in front of you all along.
Invited to a dinner with the old and new Fire Chief, there is some last-minute scrambling to set up a date for firefighter Marshall Remington. His new Fire Chief, Logan Calhoun, suggests a “fake” girlfriend, the settling-down kind, pretending to be in a serious relationship with him. That scenario, showing evidence of stability in his life, would give credence to Logan’s request for promoting Marshall as his second-in-command, which he is going to mention to the retired Fire Chief because it's a board-approved position and the retired Chief is on the board. Marshall is not comfortable putting Nora Addison in that situation, even though she is willing. He hates pretense, and feels bad that Nora got drawn into this as his serious relationship. He doesn’t know that nurse Nora has had a crush on him for a long time now.
When Marshall finally sees her that evening, the sweet nurse he knows is not the beautiful sexy woman who meets him for dinner. Her whole personality showed in the smile and the way she presented herself. He is stunned and is not sure he will be able to look at her in the way he used to anymore. Nora the nurse is not defined by her job. He is finally seeing her as a person, a woman who definitely interests him. Will the two of them decide to begin dating for real now? Will they allow a relationship to take them where they are meant to be?
