About the author

A pen name of a Soviet dissident Andrei Sinyavsky. He had to use a pseudonym for writing critical works on Soviet society and publish them in the West to avoid censorship. Sinyavsky and Yuli Daniel were convicted of Anti-Soviet agitation in a show trial, becoming the first Soviet writers convicted solely for their works and for fiction. They served six years at a labour camp.

2,5 stars, really
Abram Terz (aka Andrej Sinjavskij) è sempre interessante. Tuttavia, questa volta non so, qualcosa non deve aver funzionato a dovere. Tutto molto russo, tutto nell'ottica di distaccarsi dal realismo socialista e di creare un'arte "fantasmagorica". Si tratta di una raccolta di racconti lunghi, intolata semplicemente "Racconti fantastici" nell'edizione originale e qui invece recante il titolo di uno di essi. Idee buone (come quella della preveggenza) e ottima scrittura. Ma devo dire che mi son perso di continuo.
