Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.
Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.
He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.
Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.
The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.
He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.
Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.
By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.
This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.
When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.
Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.
Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.
Tanner is Back ! Another exciting Tanner book. Living with his family on his ranch, Tanner is offered a contract but he has to choose which of 2 brothers he will kill. They are not living together but both must die at the same time, and both are impossible targets. Which target will Tanner pick and how will he do it? Fascinating how he calculates and plans his kill. Unexpected twists in the books lead to an exciting read. Definitely recommend this book.
In Tanner’s forty-fifth episode, he’s still training his apprentice, Henry, when he’s offered half a contract. Two brothers need to be eliminated at the same time, but they live in different, highly-protected housing outside of Juarez. How will it be done? Which brother will Tanner choose to kill? Who will he choose to kill the other brother? The plan unfolds as we meet a number of interesting characters, and the ending should satisfy all Tanner fans.
Tanner has been fascinating since reading his first story. His life as an assassin but a protector of the innocents is remarkable. Henry is now being trained to be a Tanner as well and it's so exciting to see how far he has come in his quest to be the next Tanner. These stories is one of the best anticipated reading there is. I can't wait for the next one to come out as I know Remington Kane will bring out his best.
If you want to forget your troubles, Covid and boredom, read All the Tanner novels. They are easy enjoyable reads. Like James Bond, Tanner always wins and the bad guys lose. Yes, they are predictable but with our screwed up world one the brink of invasion of Croatia by Russia and the turd in North Korea creating deadly missiles while his people starve to death, reading a fun novel is the answer Dr. C. 👍🎉🎊💞💞💞🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
As usual, the complex and convoluted mind of Mr. Kane astounds me. I loved the complex plot Tanner creates to fulfill this contract. I was so absorbed in the story I didn't even realize I'd reached the 97% mark - then as usual I was sad the book was over, as the cycle of anticipation for the next Tanner novel renews...
I wish the Tanner series was in audiobook or whisper-sync ready. I love the series and can’t read for long periods because of the strain on my vision. I hate stopping because it’s always so entertaining. The author doesn’t seem to care about the vision impaired. Nevertheless, I managed to finish it and recommend the book to all Tanner fans.
Tanner attempts to defy physics & manages to do the absolute impossible —how to kill two heavily guarded people in two different ultra-secure, secret, isolated & well-defensed locations before they can run!
Tanner on a mission to kill two brothers and with his planning and taking Henry with him as part of his training and with the help of Sarah and others is able to fulfil the contract great planning and action never tire of these missions .
Mr. Kane has written another Tanner special. I call them special because each is unique in that the central characters stay the same but, each plot gets better. He does indeed, write for the reader.
The Tanner series off books are one of the best I have read. They are always entertaining and keep your interest in wanting to know what is going to happen next. Jane keep up the good work.
The writing is pretty good, but such an imperative does raise questions. I know such honorable souls do it daily. What does that do to Christianity? I feel such an innocent in my 80ies.!
This book did not disappoint. I expected excellence and it really delivered.
Lots of clues, misdirections and excitement. Once I started reading, I didn't want to stop. Had to stay up late just to finish. Tanner books never get old.
The more this series progressed their better it seems to be. The writer gives us a well written and thought out story,it.has been well crafted. In this installment we get see more of Henry and Sara. This was just good writing and storytelling as always.
Tanner takes on two contracts for Lawson, which proved to be time-consuming with much preparation and problem-solving. There are distractions along the way and possibly future problem that may not go away and a good deed.
I've read every Tanner. Can't believe its been 45 books. Action ,likable characters, and interesting storylines. I'll keep reading . Just don't stop writing.
Tanner story all the way with his elaborate plans always working out. The two for one assassin requirement placed an unique twist to The tale, but Tanner prevails!
