Author Kristin Dickerson left her 15-year-career as a TV-journalist to answer a Divine calling heard in the middle of a newscast, “You’re doing this wrong.” In that moment, she realized she had a platform to share the best of humanity, but on that day, she was sharing the worst. She knew if she wanted to share positive content, she would need to create it. Seven months later, she and her husband, Peter, left their jobs and donated most of their belongings to go on a pilgrimage to some of the holiest places in the world. This book is the journal Kristin wrote during their travels. It is also her testimony, which shares stories about her journey back to God.

My Journey Back to God is a courageous, raw account of one person's journey back to God and, ultimately a life of contentment and happiness. I was fortunate enough to know Kristin when she was in Tulsa and found her to be friendly, witty, and full of positive energy. She was also very good at her job and we knew it was just a matter of time before a larger market came calling. She appeared to be a young woman with everything together. As the saying goes, showing no outward signs of inward struggle. Her realization that she was "doing it wrong" led her and her husband to embark on a spiritual journey and remarkable leap of faith. I had wanted to read this book since it was released, but when I recently got to it, the timing was perfect. I recently experienced a you're doing it wrong realization in my own career and appreciate the reaffirmation that something beautiful awaits. Like Kristin, I have been holding myself to the wrong standard for a long time. I applaud her not only for her journey, but for having the courage to share her story with people like me, who can benefit from it.

Incredible Journey

It is amazing how our world makes us believe life should be one way, but all the while we know it should be different. Kristin and Peter share their journey of reordering their lives and the peace and joy which comes when the world as we know it slips away. Exceptional story of their incredible faith and the love of God that truly wants what is best for us (no matter how painful that might be at the time) and wants us to enjoy the gift of the life we are given. Wonderful, thought provoking, and inspiring adventure!♥️

Author: "Sari Not Sorry" - Me: "Sorry, Not Sorry" I was underwhelmed by this read. If you are of the Judeo-Christian faith, I would def steer away. Although the message is growth and blessings, the gifts are attributed to God/Jesus, God/Buddah, God/Shiva - i.e. p153 "The idol is called a Shiva lingam ... As I stood there in front of it, with my hands near my heart and in a prayer position, I was in awe. I said quickly, 'thank you, Shiva.' " Sorry that this was not the journey I was expecting nor an easy read for me.

Story telling is a talent and blessing for the author and the readers. It was wonderful to follow the process of Kristin and Peter as they walked through the Camino de Santiago. Their decision to move immediately to Israel and India to continue their quest was telling of their need for transformation. I walked the Camino four months ago and I am barely sensing and reading the inner self. Kristin goes back and forth from her life and its relationship with the Camino. Her talented story telling inspires much of my own experiences as I walked. It fits quite neatly to ther Camino documentary.
