As a long-time unemployed loser, Yoshio’s relationship with his family is strained at best. Worst of all, thanks to failing her during a terrifying incident, his sister has complete contempt for him.
But lately, Yoshio’s life has rapidly begun to change. It’s all thanks to receiving an invite to beta-test a mysterious game known as the Village of Fate — a game so amazingly realistic that its characters almost seem like real people. Playing the role of a “God of Fate” protecting a small group of villagers, the game gives new meaning to Yoshio’s dull existence, and soon begins to reveal unexpected new opportunities, some of them even affecting the real world.
This volume may be less exciting than the first volume, but it has character work and worldbuilding to set up the next arc. It is because that archer on the cover is totally sus. Looking forward to the next volume.
I think I gave volume 1 three stars because the premise was a little silly to me. But in this volume you begin to realize something supernatural is going on... Things that happen in the game begin to affect reality, and now I'm intrigued!
