From the world renowned author...

Tommy failed to step off the top of the bridge...

When the flying man told him that magic might exist in the world, and he decided to see if it was true.
That started him on a journey that he could barely understand, in a place that both existed and at the same time, didn't. It couldn't...
A place called, One City.
Now he’s called to that place. Pressed into an increasingly surreal reality that he isn't certain might be a sign that something very strange is taking place.

It's that, or he wasn't among the living any longer.
One of the two things.

P.S. Power

P.S. Power works in fiction, mainly focusing on Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror genres, with brief forays into other things just to keep life interesting. He averages 1 to 2 books monthly and has several series going. He lives in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, as a recluse, yet still manages to find time to talk to people online, in a positive and delightful manner. Not one of those creepy hermit types though, you understand. It's more of an isolated farm style thing. Or ranch really. He's also interested in three dimensional photography, and long moonlit walks on the beach, sometimes with vampires. When he can find time he also does writing and voice work for scripted online programs. Anyway, feel free to drop him a line.

Hello Everyone!

In chatting with Dale over the past few weeks, it was decided that he was interested in blogging to you, his readers. The blog he had within the main site was not going to be a viable solution and there were thoughts of just creating a Forum where only he could post and everyone else could reply. This MOD is a nice meeting of the two for what will hopefully be a highly successful blog!

Hoping this first (and only) post by me will kick off a nice method of interaction with Dale's readers!

p.s. - Also going to try and get the feed that comes with this to feed into Amazon and Goodreads. Good luck to one and all!!

Ever think "this author needs serious therapy?"

The good:
The story itself is well written and the world setting is interesting.

The bad:
The main character is proudly part of the MGTOW movement. To quote wikipedia: "Men Going Their Own Way is an anti-feminist, misogynistic, mostly-online community advocating for men to separate themselves from women and from a society which they believe has been corrupted by feminism."

He is the ultimate anti-social incel which all other incels hope to one day grow up to be, only with less self esteem and people skills. Imagine any classic women hating serial killer from a Criminal Minds episode, but stopped by the fact he does not have enough motivation. So instead he decides to kill himself but even fails at that.

But wait there's more! Into this already toxic stew of a man pour in dobs of every paranoid alt-right conspiracy and "they" are out to get our working man main character. All in a world with actual secret magic societies ruling behind the scenes.

A literally jaw dropping train wreck of a book that was too painful to read but I found myself skimming forward again and again to see the next disaster unfold. Yet so well written it almost qualifies as unintended parody. Not quite though. Some things are so bad they become good. This is just bad.

Didn't like it

The only reason that I gave this four stars is because my favorite author wrote it and I don't want to hurt his sales. I thought the book sucked. It was boring and went no were. Most books by this author are pretty good so make your own decision. I won't be reading book two

Exciting start of a new series!

Need a new reality? Talk to PS Power. The man is a fountain of creativity.
Tommy had a very dull, mind numbing job in a factory. He was good at it, but that didn't get him anywhere but to the top of the bridge he was standing on contemplating ending his lack luster life. No friends, subsistence level wages. Nothing at all to look forward to.

It all changed that night when he spoke with another man who was there at the top of the bridge also... Then the man flew away.

Too woke, don't need to read about transvestites

P.S. Power used to be one of my favorite authors. The last half a dozen of his books are actually the same story albeit with different characters, at different locations.

Kudos for not trashing MGTOW like everyone else does. I made it through 97% of the book & stopped there. No need to finish. That's how compelling the characters are. Please keep the gender bending out of your books. No-one wants to be exposed to that nonsense.

Strange and interesting

I am really not sure what to think of this book. The main character is self deprecating almost to the point I'd being unlikable. A whole lot of new "races" and a bizarre offset world linked to Portland. The side characters have small enough parts that while interesting, don't become memorable. Unfortunately, the story ends abruptly. I may read the next book because there are some new concepts .

PRETTY GREAT TYPICAL PS POWER

Not sure he,actually lives in the same world we do but his world is pretty cool. Love the sophisticated depth of what he writes & how he writes. He does a great mix with pop culture & paralell worlds that almost fit. You wont actually get a bad book from him & he keeps his prices reasonable which is amazing for the effort & quality he puts in. This is a really good new series start. Cant wait for next installment.

It maintains the same style of the author other books, but the story managed to be just boring in it progress. Altough the introduction of a secret paranormal society could give this an interesting flavour, the lack of charisma from the main character and the secundarys managed to extinguish it completely.

Different

Almost gave it up, but it just kept pulling me in. Odd abilities, odd people but interesting. Will there be more?

DNF
I used to enjoy this author's work, it was even worth putting up with his godawful grammer, typos, etc. But this book? Oh no way.

I can't really relate to anything in this series. It's not bad as such, so give it a go, if you like.
