标签:王石井邵云安蒋康宁架空种田1V1 -- Due to an accident, a rich and handsome man from modern society became a man’s wife in ancient society. Just being a man’s wife was not enough. He was also a secondhand product with two children. Just being a secondhand product was not enough. The secondhand man was also a poor and ugly man, who was blind in one eye. Shao Yunan was very dissatisfied with this. And very, very unhappy.
I was expecting a usual 'farming/business' danmei and I was given much more. I absolutely adore this story so much. It's so much more detailed, much longer and much more compact plot-wise than the regular novel in the same sub-genre. The story could easily fall into a high-stakes plot especially since it's not all about the 'farming/business' but also involved court politics. But the author has their way to make the story feel more slice of life, more calm and mundane, so the despite being in a high-stake situation, it's not really stressful and it actually ended up more relaxing.
The highlight of this novel is undoubtedly the MC, Shao Yunan. The ML also has his moments but the MC just shone so brightly the entire time. I think the author deliberately made the ML this lowkey character to be the MC's pillar of support so the MC, as a transmigrated person from the modern world, can unleash his potential with full force. ML is the moon while MC is the sun, both has their own beauty. The other shine so evidently most of the time while the other glow when the sun needs its rest.
Aside from the MC and ML, I also loved every single one of supporting characters. From their children Wang Qing, Nizi and Jiang Moxi, the adoptive relatives gathered along the way, the biological family introduced halfway through the story and even the Emperor and Empress, who I appreciate because it's rare to see truly wise rulers, all of them created such a special place in my heart.
The story didn't just revolve in a small village or a small town but this one covers a much larger setting. The business involved is much elaborate. I don't like tea, but I learn to appreciate it after reading this novel with how much the author took their time to properly integrate it in the story as the main source of the business.
It might not be best I've read in general, but personally, this is one of the best in this sub-genre. I enjoyed every single moment of this story so much.
all in all it was not too bad, a bit boring sometimes, a lot of face slapping, i more or less enjoyed till on specific moment.
Spoiler so as of ch. 209 MC who never wanted children accidentally consumed a special fruit that helps men get pregnant. He constantly said that he doesn't want children. He meant it. As he is a transmigrator he hasn't realised what has happened yet. And all his family realise and they are overjoyed and they hide this fact from him. This is sooo selfish! I understand that in future he will love his child and even if he knew he would most likely decide against terminating the pregnancy but still why no one, not a single person, thought of his opinion on that matter. They are happy that he will have a child but it will be him who will bear this child for 8 months (story setting), it will be him who will suffer during the pregnancy and childbirth (and he many times mentioned that one of the reason for not wanting children is that he is afraid of pain), it will be him raising the child, but no one is taking into account his opinion and wishes. and yes there is also all the sexism, tons of it.
