Brides of Chance Creek #6

Issued to the Bride One Sergeant for Christmas

Rate this book
Orphaned at seven, kicked out by his aunt and uncle at 16, Sergeant Emerson Myers gave up on family until General Augustus Reed chose him as his assistant, becoming as much a father-figure as a commanding officer. But when the General starts sending elite forces men home to marry his estranged daughters, Emerson’s torn between relief at not being given such an irrevocable mission and dismay the man never even considered him for the job.

Wyoming Smith has watched with a mixture of wonder and horror—and a little envy, if she’s honest — as her best friend Cass and all Cass’s sisters have married the warriors their father sent to them. Witnessing their happiness was hard enough when her life was on track, but now she’s lost her job and her apartment and she’s accepted Cass’s invitation to live at Two Willows, which means she has a front row seat to five loving marriages — while remaining all alone.

Emerson knows marriage isn’t for him and he’s ready to recommit to his career in the Army — but before he can, an explosion rips his life apart — and the General’s.
Wyoming knows everything will change now that the General is coming home to Two Willows. Will she have to leave?

Or has the General had a bigger plan all along?

I finished another series on my 2023 TBR!

In the final installment of the Brides of Chance Creek we are given the love story of Wyoming, best friend of Cass and Sergeant Emerson Meyers, right hand man of the General. Their romance runs smoothly but it's their future at the ranch that offers some obstacles.

I loved the epilogue as we loyal fans get to see a glimpse of what the future holds for all six of these couples.

However, I do have trouble with a part of the novel. It was a conversation/scene where Wyoming, worried about her brother who is dealing with difficult family issues, says "Just try and not ruin the holidays by committing suicide."

😱

WTF?

Listen, I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill but after finishing the book, it lingers on my mind. Why Cora Seton did you put that in an otherwise good series? I would have preferred maybe a character overhearing that conversation and talking about what might be a better way of supporting a family member instead of making such a jest.

An educational opportunity missed I believe.

Do love this fictional town and the characters that Cora Seton has created.

So as I mentioned, Cora Seton's books have become an escape addiction. My Confession is in the review for the first book, Issued to the Bride: One Navy SEAL (Brides of Chance Creek, #1). This is the last entry and all of the past characters make an appearance and are part of the story.

The biggest focus is the return of the general and his right-hand man. There is a best friend of one of the daughters who has become part of the family, Wyoming.

This continuing series was about five very special daughters who ran a ranch called Two Willows.
Their father had been away for years. He is a general and when he lost his wife, he couldn't deal with the pain of being at the ranch and around all the things that reminded him of her. This left the daughters to develop deep resentment for the man.

These five daughters raised themselves up. They are strong, with unique personalities and talents. There is a mystical element to the ranch and women, each with talent all their own. When the General decides to send them husbands, it does not go down easily.

Cass's Bestie Wyoming and Emerson are the last couple to be a part of this general's mission.

The book is well written.

The story between the Hero and heroine is good, though I found him a bit pushy with her to get married, I understood her reluctance due to her change in circumstances and her past.

The whole General, his wife and the magic of the story is not my thing but I have read all CS other books so I have just gone with it and enjoyed the couples story.
That said there is more of it in this book as it may be the last of this series.

Other series of the author are touched on.

No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No other woman or man drama.

HEA.
For the couple and the previous couples from the series.

I have listened to and enjoyed each book in this series. But my library was dragging it's feet purchasing the audio for this one and I wanted to finish the series with the end of the year approaching and this is a Christmas book, sooooo I'm reading this one. You know when you start a book and you want it to be really, really good, because the other in the series have been? That's how I felt about this book. It just wasn't as good as the others. The main characters lacked that spark and it was missing the touch of mystery the others has. I absolutely loved seeing the all girls and their guys and how they have managed their lives all living together on the same ranch. This book centered on the General and his plans for his Sergent, Emerson, and Cass's best friend, Wyoming.

Sergeant Emerson Myers has spent almost his entire military being the adjunct to General Augustus Reed. As his right hand man, Emerson has seen the General sent five men to his ranch in Montana with orders that each would marry one of his daughters. Orphaned at age 7 and cast out by his aunt and uncle at 16, he longed for a stable family of his own and was a little envious as the General sent the men of to establish families of their own.

As Cass's best friend Wyoming Smith has watched the General sent men to Chance Creek, Montana with the express purpose of marring his daughters. Cass, as the General's oldest daughter, being the first. Wyoming was at first shocked, then a little jealous of the wildly happy unions that resulted. Wyoming's family was definitely not what you could call a happy one. When she looses her job and apartment, Cass invites her to Two Willows.

When an explosion in the war zone leaves both the General and Emerson with injuries that forced then out of active duty, the General returns to Two Willows and brings Emerson along. The General now has one more match to make for the man he has considered a son. But getting the woman he has planned for him on board might be his biggest battle yet. 3 1/2-Stars

Even though I had forgotten these two characters from the earlier books in the series, Emerson and Wyoming made for a great addition to the series while at the same time wrapping it up perfectly. Having spent his entire Army career taking care of the General, it was only fitting that the General take care of Emerson. Having always considered Emerson to be the son he never had, the General set out to find him a wife just as he found husbands for all of his daughters.
While the premise of this story might be far-fetched, this was a very enjoyable romance. Both Emerson and Wye had difficult upbringings, so they were both looking for a family and for love. As much as I enjoyed this story, I have to say that the epilogue was an added bonus that I was not expecting. Taking place seven months after the story wrapped up, the epilogue visited each couple from the earlier books as they attended a 4th of July celebration. Unlike some series, that do this with only one or two sentences concerning each couple, Cora Seton wrote several pages for each couple from their perspective. All in all a great ending to the series, and a perfect tie in with her other series the Turners vs. Coopers.

The story of Emerson and Wyoming. The General has 5 daughters and Emerson is his right hand man who’s earned his respect and love just like the son he never had. Wye is the General's oldest daughter's best friend. A beautiful story about loss, heartache and never feeling worthy of love and family.

The entire series was so amazing, so relatable as well as dreamy in that we can all wish for a life and family just like that which is told here. I relate most this book since I have such a small family myself. We all yearn for family, a sense of belonging, happiness and love, all of which you will come to read and love in this series. I highly recommend this be read in order of each book you will love the characters as well as the dreamy life they end up with.

Issued to the Bride One Sergeant for Christmas

Oh my goodness this one hit me right in the feels. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love and I cried so more. While I'm really happy that Wyoming and Emerson got their Happily Ever After I'm sad to see this series come to a close. I'm going to miss the general!

For my safety reader friends this (and the entire series) is completely safe and free of any kind of abuse or cheating. No mention of previous relationships/partners other than in an abstract sense that there has been some failed ones for whatever reason.

The whole premise that an absentee father sends military men who are about to be court-martialed or discharged from the service to a ranch to marry his daughters is unbelievable. And even a woman who isn’t related to him! And it works every time! I couldn’t stand the General - sullen and dictatorial. I don’t get it.

Issued to the Bride One Sergeant for Christmas: Brides of Chance Creek Book 6 is by Cora Seton. This is the final book in the series and it draws everything to a close. It is sad that this series has to end; but the premise was to get all five Reed girls married and that is what happened in the first five books. What can the General get into now?
This final book is the story of Wyoming and Emerson, neither of whom are Reeds; but have been associated with them for years. Wyoming is Cass’s best friend. They got together as young girls and have been close ever since. Both girls lost their Mothers and did not have the best relationship with their Fathers. They truly understand and compliment each other. When Wyoming lost her job due to cutbacks, Cass offered her a place to stay and she really needed the help in planning her sister’s wedding and keeping the house going for the other sisters and their husbands while being pregnant. Wyoming needed some space to figure out her next move so this worked out perfectly and Cass really needed her help.
Emerson was the General’s aide. He worked with the General on all paperwork that was needed, took him to the doctor, tried to make sure he did his physical therapy, and generally took care of his needs. He had been with the General for years and was with him when the bomb hit the General’s tent and injured the General enough to end his Army career. Emerson was also hurt and the injury to his ankle was enough to end his career too. The General had brought Emerson to the Ranch to help him so he wouldn’t be a burden to his girls.
The General had finally gotten all his girls married and had been able to walk Alice down the aisle. He had finally come home as his dear Amelia had wanted him to. She had left letters for him to help him with his girls; but he hadn’t been able to fully understand what she was telling him and he hadn’t been able to come home where Amelia was no longer. He and his girls have a number of issues to contend with. The last letter Amelia had left was to tell him to make sure Wyoming was settled and married as she was his honorary daughter. So, he set out to do just that- Emerson.
Was the General’s luck still with him or would Wyoming stick to her decision to never marry?

As in the other books in this series, I really didn't like that the General was manipulating lives. In the other books, it was his daughters' lives, by choosing their spouses for them. In this one, he is manipulating the life of one of his daughters' friends, by choosing her spouse. Just because it worked out in the end, didn't make his manipulations OK. Seems like the women might always wonder if the men really love them, or if they just married them to get a share of the ranch -- and that would be a valid concern.

Emerson and Wye were likable enough, and they were good together. But I wanted Wye to stand up to her brother more, and not keep letting him treat her like an unpaid servant -- I was glad when Emerson helped her with that. It also bothered me a little that Emerson lacked self-confidence, and doubted his own abilities so much.

This book just reinforced how much I dislike the General -- the way he treated his daughters was despicable, and there was no excuse for that. I didn't care that he was grieving. There is absolutely no excuse for abandoning your daughters, which he did for many years. I wasn't really happy with how this book ended the series either, because he did NOT deserve to be forgiven for once again manipulating their lives.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

In this series General Reed assigned to USSOCOM has sent each of his daughters a husband, as per the instructions in the letters left to him by his late wife Amelia. Not that they wanted or needed one. Military men all, they were ordered to wed a specific daughter. He's back home now recovering from an injury to his hip, and he has his aide Emerson with him.

This book opens with an interrupted encounter between Wyoming and Emerson in the laundry room. It was Emerson's plan to ask her out but they were interrupted.

Now Wyoming isn't the General's daughter, she's his daughter Cass's best friend. The intended groom is the General's aide Emerson. By now the you know the General doesn't take no for an answer, but Emerson really isn't upset about this order at all. We begin at Thanksgiving where they are celebrating the wedding of Alice and Jack. If you've been reading this series you know that the next groom arrives during the reception. Before Emerson knocks on the door Wye has an interesting conversation with her brother that is sure to impact the impending courtship.

Now things aren't going to go smoothly with this although Emerson does help Wye when dealing with her brother. Wye has wants and needs she has always denied when it comes to her brother. Her brother Ward, just expects he to bend to whatever he needs regardless of what she is doing. Now that Ward's wife has disappeared he expects Wye to step in and take care of everything for him. He's in for a surprise.

This is a story of growth for Emerson and Wye and also an awaking of understanding for the General. As the last book in this series it pulls at my heart as I say good-bye to these characters. Although since they are in Chance Creek I hope to catch glimpses of them in other books taking place in town.

With love, laughter, some tears and that simmer to sizzle romance I love, thank you for this wild ride Cora!

Dreams Do Come True!

Sergeant Emerson Meyers was General Augustus Reed's assistant whom we've met from the beginning of the series. He didn't believe in family after his own treated him like an unwanted stepchild. Things changed for him when he met his boss, he came to think of the older man as a father.

After an incident that brought him and the General to Two Willows, Chance Creek, Montana. He had his eyes set on his boss' honorary daughter Wyoming Smith from the first moment he met her in ISSUED TO THE BRIDE: ONE SOLDIER .

Wyoming "Wye" Smith was Cass's ( ISSUED TO THE BRIDE: ONE NAVY SEAL ) best-friend, who was now a honorary Reed. She was feeling down after losing her job and getting played by a mad man who was out to destroy those she loved.

She felt a little envious seeing all her sisters married to really great guys. She wondered if she would ever find that kind of love. When a knock on the Two Willows' door changed her life forever. At first she didn't want to believe what was happening by in the end, she couldn't ignore what her heart already knew.

Loved seeing the Reed sisters and their husbands again along with some characters from other series. Emerson and Wye were both looking for a place to call home and they found it in each other and with those they held close to their hearts. They had one another's backs.

ISSUED TO THE BRIDE: ONE SERGEANT FOR CHRISTMAS is the sixth and final installment in Cora Seton's BRIDES OF CHANCE CREEK series. It was beautiful, sweet and a fantastic read.

Gonna miss this incredible series. Cora Seton did an exquisite job. 5++++

In this incredible series we learn that General Augustus Reed has five daughters that he hadn't seen in eleven years, ever since his wife died. But his wife had the forethought to pen letters to her husband directing him to send back specific men for their daughters. With them all now married and the General settled back home at Two Willows ranch, along with his assistant Sergeant Emerson Myers, he has another surprise. His wife has one more love match for him to complete.

Sergeant Emerson Myers has been the General's right hand man for years. With both of them recovering from injuries in the war, Emerson is trying to find his place at Two Willows among the General's family. But when he first lays eyes on Wyoming Smith his heart is no longer his alone. And the General's unexpected surprise isn't making things any easier.

Wyoming Smith loves her best friend's home and is thrilled to spend some time with her family but the last thing she wants or expects is feelings for the man that assists the General every day. Her experiences have taught her that men can't be trusted. Yet, the General insists they will marry and Emerson is making it harder for her to come up with a reason not to follow her heart. But when a tramatic family event turns Wye's world upside down will she be able to hold on and trust the love she has found?

Sweet with a bit of sexy thrown in, this finale to the series is amazing! Cora Seton is the queen of series and this ending did not disappoint. A bit lengthy but you'll enjoy the wonderful epilogue that fills in details of all the couples. And the surprise from Amelia at the end was a truly a tear jerker worth waiting for.

Staying the Course to Love.

Sergeant Emerson Myers and Wyoming Smith are the latest couple finding each other at the Reed family's Two Willows Ranch, just outside Chance Creek, Montana. They are outsiders on the ranch. Emerson is General Augustus Reed's assistant. He's come to the ranch to help the General recover from an injury. Emerson is also healing from an injury from the explosion in Afghanistan. Wyoming (Wye) is also at Two Willows. She's lost her job as a paralegal and her best friend Cass (Reed) Lake has talked her into staying at the ranch while she job hunts. Of course, throughout this series the General has been a matchmaker extraordinaire. In this book he continues implementing his designs. Although his late wife, Amelia, has left the General a trail to follow, it is still up to the couples to find their way to each other. Emerson and Wye have similar painful backgrounds with similar trust issues. Although the Army and the General have helped Emerson overcome some of his issues, Wye still grapples with her mistrust of men, her family doesn't help. Fortunately for Wye, Emerson is one of the most level headed, practical and patient men ever. She is hard working, constant and has love she just needs to know she should share. He's just the man to show her the way. In addition to the heart warming love story of Emerson and Wyoming; this book is a round robin of the statuses of the Reed sisters and their husbands, their father, and many other Chance Creek residents making this book a welcome journal of that great community.

Once again, Ms. Seton has astounded me with her talent and ability to bring together a cast of characters that, when their stories are told, will bring you to tears, both with joy and sorrow.
In this issue, the final book in this series, we are given the pleasure of, not only learning the story of Emerson and Wye, and I have to say, what a tale that is, but also a wind-up of the rest of the characters in the series. Each couple plays an intricate role in the others' lives and stories, as this tight-knit family finds their ways to love and happiness. The hurdles they have to leap on their journeys are real, and will have you wishing you were there.
If you haven't had the pleasure of reading any of Ms. Setons' work, I strongly suggest you pick one up and begin the journey that will have you spinning, on the edge of your seat, until you have read each and every one of them. I have such a hard time putting these books down once I begin one, and find myself on pins and needles in anticipation as I eagerly await the next in the series.
Hats off to you once again Cora! Yet another spellbinding tale from Chance Creek!
I was gifted a copy of this book, and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.

This is the final book in the series and interestingly all the General's daughters have been "married off" already but Cass (his daughter) has a best friend, Wyoming (aka Wye) and he considers her a daughter. Her parents bailed on her, first her mom and then her dad so she has no real family but her lame brother. She found Cass and they've become super close. While they're close and she lives at Two Willows, she doesn't really feel like she belongs or that she's a part of them. She so desperately wants to be a part of something bigger.

Then there's Emerson. He's been the General's right hand man for so long. He got injured recently and he's recovering and helping the General recover. His parents died when he was young and he was taken in by an aunt and uncle that already had enough children. He too just wanted to feel like he belonged to something bigger. He feel in love with Wye at first sight but he had to convince her.

Not only was this a fabulous love story for Emerson and Wye and their bumps to love but OMG the ending! Cora Seton gave this series an amazing ending that included everyone. The only thing that makes me sad about this book is that it's the last one in this series. I will miss these characters! LOVED IT!!!!

I was hooked from the first moment. We learn so much about Emerson and the life he's led until this moment when he ends up on the Reed ranch with the sisters and their father. He's had a difficult time of it and has pulled himself up by his bootstraps to make something of himself. And when Augustus Reed offers him something he can't turn down, he makes it his mission to capture Wyoming's heart.

Wyoming is a family friend who has been there for the sisters through all of their storms. She's strong and independent though she's had two men in her life who would like her to believe the opposite. She fights against the habits she's developed throughout her life, and she has such a difficult time figuring out where she fits in the world and at the Reed ranch. The hardest thing she'll have to conquer is her own rluctance to give in to her heart.

It was a wonderful story and a terrific final visit with the Reeds. As soon as the standing stone entered the picture, I knew this was the place I wanted to be. I love these small places the author builds in her world of Chance Creek, and I'm always excited to be able to delve into another of them. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Sad to say goodbye to the Reeds
I’m starting with the end – the epilogue is wonderful, pulling all the different books in the series together and giving a fitting “sense of an ending.” The story itself, well, it is vintage Cora Seton, with characters from many of her series popping up and a new vision at Two Willows. We go into the maze again, we see how badly the General’s behavior has affected his relationships with his daughters, and we see a man determined to make good on those relationships. But first and foremost, this is about Emerson and Wyoming – and healing, both emotionally and physically. Emerson is in many ways a typical Cora Seton hero; he gets down to what needs to be done and he does it, whether it’s for the General, for Wyoming, for Elise, and finally for himself. I can’t think of any part of this book that I didn’t like, other than a few heartstopping moments in Wade’s house. I hate saying goodbye to Two Willows, but this is a delightful conclusion to the girls’ stories.

ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Meddlesome General Reed does it again!
This time, he issues his trustworthy assistant, Sergeant Emerson Meyer, to Cass’s best friend Wyoming Smith. Emerson is on board with this plan. After the incident that brought the General and him to the ranch, he set his eyes on Wyoming.
Emerson lost his parents and was sent to live with relatives. They made him feel unwanted. The General gave him a sense of belonging and self-worth.
Wye learned, early in life, that men, beginning with her father and brother, take without giving. Therefore, she cautious in trusting Emerson.
In this series, love heals the soul. Emerson and Wye will help each other healing.
Will the General be able to heal his relationships with her daughters he ruined whit his highhanded behavior?
With this book, we say goodbye to Two Willows and all the lovable characters we met in the series.

WOW!Another FANTASTIC story by Cora! This story is about the honorary daughter, Wyoming, and a man the General considered as a son, Emerson. These two have been living at the ranch for awhile before their love story got started. Wye didn't believe in marriage after what happened in her own family. Emerson changes her mind. It was sad that her brother abandoned his own daughter but she would always feel love since Wye and Emerson adopted her. The part just before the wedding was heartwarming. Amelia was an amazing woman and she knew about Emerson and Wyoming were going to be together before they did. The last chapter was very intriguing as Cora recapped everyone's history on how each came to be a couple. The General will have his hands full with so many grandbabies on the way. What a way to end this series! FANTASTIC job Cora! I would highly recommend this book!

This book started a bit different than the rest in the series but I really liked how it flowed once it got going. I liked that it focused on a couple that was considered adopted family members rather than actual family members and how it changes the dynamics and thinking of the characters. I really love the extended epilog that helped you have a sense of completion for the characters. I would have loved something like that at the beginning as it's been a while since I read the other books in the series and could have used a refresher.

One of the things I love about this series it the little bit of magic that is thrown throughout it and on the land. I think it has just the right amount that you can believe in it.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Loved this final book in the series. I like books that have a lot of characters and are part of a series.
Emerson and Wye are a wonderful couple who have to learn to let people in and to believe that they are lovable. They both have pasts with loss or leaving of people who should have been there for them through thick and thin. This story really shows friends are the family we choose for ourselves. The General and his daughters have a difficult past but all the women, men and children are important to this series. I especially like the last chapter where all the story lines are wrapped up with a recap of what each couple is doing and where they are in their relationships. This book doesn't have the life risking excitement the others had, it has more emotional turmoil. Wonderful story, wonderful couple and wonderful series, sorry to see it end.

The conclusion to the Brides of Chance Creek. I'd love to ask the author why she didn't stop the series at #5. Was it because she likes even numbers? But then I had to remind myself, that Amelia has been running the show thru the entire series when it might appear to everyone else, that it was General Augustus Reed!
Emerson and Wyoming were the perfect match in similar background and for that understanding. My heart ached for each of them in their feelings of abandonment, the lack of belonging and no roots. Each of their reasonings and timings for arriving, staying at Two Willows made for an interesting storyline. I loved that the magic enveloped them as well.
This book had the longest Epilogue I think I have ever read, but it was so appropriate! This has been an awesome series and I'm glad I was able to read the books consecutively.

Great conclusion to the Brides of Chance Creek series!

Wyoming has been best friends with Cass for a while now, but has never really felt like part of the family. Emerson came to Chance Creek with the General when they were both hurt. He doesn't have any place to really call home either. But then the General tells him to marry Wye and he will get a part of the ranch. But will the others go for it, or are Wye and Emerson on the outside looking in still? Read this for a satisfying conclusion to the Brides of Chance Creek series and an introduction to the next one set in Chance Creek.

The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and engaging. Read these books in order to get the most out of them. Then you can read others set in Chance Creek. Enjoy!

This is the last book in the series and it was well written and raps up the story line. The 2 main characters do not feel worthy of love from themselves or other people. It takes a lot for Wyoming to trust herself or other people. I enjoyed reading as the story unfolds between all of the characters. Between Wy's trust issues from the time she was a young girl did not help her. Emerson lost his parents when he was young and then was sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle and he was not treated as part of the family. In the end Wyoming had to learn to trust herself and listen to her own heart. The letters that the General found towards the end was helpful to put closure for this series. I can't wait for the new books that should be coming soon.

Leaving a series that you love is always difficult. Leaving the Reed sisters was difficult and I thought the last book (Alice Reed’s story) was the end. But I was thrilled to find that Wyoming Smith and the General’s aide Emerson Myers became part of the Two Willows family when the General sent Emerson for Wye with a promise of part of the ranch. Nothing is easy for these two orphans and coming together requires that they go past their difficult past and abandonment issues and look forward to the future. A wonderful read that not only gave you Emerson and Wye’s story, but also catches you up with the happenings of all the couples at Two Willows. I absolutely loved this story and was so happy that Emerson and Wye got a chance for their hap-pily ever after. WONDERFUL!

Book 6 in the Issued to the Bride series, this is Emerson and Wyoming’s story. They are both at Two Willows, having little family of their own. Emerson is the General’s aide. Wye is Cass’s best friend and an honorary member of the family. They each wish Two Willows could be their home, and sometimes wishes come true. This is the story of their courtship surrounded by the Reed sisters and all of their family. I enjoyed Emerson and his interactions with the General. Wye seemed a bit timid, her reaction to some bad choices in her past, but still likable. The epilogue gives a picture into what happened after each of the prior 5 books, updating the reader on all of the Reeds, and brings in other residents of Chance Creek. Amelia makes her presence known, too.

Emotional!!!

This story was filled with heartache, loneliness, but most of all love. I couldn't wait for this book to arrive, I had wondered what became of Emerson, I got my answer. As I was reading, the words were just literally coming to life. I felt I was there on the sidelines just watching through Emerson's and Wyoming's emotions. And let me tell you what an ending to this series. I laughed, definitely cried, and felt anger for what Wyoming was going through. Sometimes life takes people for a loop that they didn't expect or wanted, but you know life also brings joy and happiness where one can experience the changes to include forgiveness and moving forward with their lives. This series is definitely a must read.
