Americana meets fantasy
What would happen if you put Paul Bunyan, John Henry, Pecos Bill, and Tony Beaver together in a fantasy adventure? It would probably turn out a little bit like The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was an awesome movie in my opinion. So here you have this book of mythological figures from Americana duking it out in a sort of alternate universe. The premise seems a little silly and possibly tacky but if you can let go of that you are in for a good time. Plus, I appreciated that this one was a sort of kids version (middle grade) YA adaption without some of the more...eh...steamy components of the original version.
