Carly writes short romance stories as steamy and sweet as a triple-vanilla latte, served extra hot. If you’ve ever wished that a Hallmark™ movie showed what happened in the bedroom — in glorious technicolor detail — her books are for you! Grab your favorite hot beverage and join her for the fun.
She loves chai, homemade mulled cider, Riesling and Beaujolais, and vanilla lattes (iced or extra-hot).
Carly wrote her first love story at the age of ten, featuring tragic Romeo-and-Juliet deaths, and only much later discovered that she preferred stories where the lovers live, with happily-ever-after endings.
She enjoys snuggling under blankets in the winter, and under the stars in summer. Loves kissing Mr. Right in exotic locations, as well as in their very own kitchen.
She lives in Virginia with the love of her life and a goofball dog.
I thought this was a sweet and fast-paced romance. Austin re-meets his childhood friend Belinda and is immediately attracted to her. He asks her out and sparks fly between them. Austin and Belinda had good chemistry together, and I thought that they were rather a sweet couple with Austin being a quite the romantic. It was an entertaining and quick read!
I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

This was a cute short read and I really enjoyed these two. Childhood friends who have lost touch throughout their adulthood. Now the Belinda is back in town Austin cant believe how beautiful she has become. Right after the first meet again he knows she is something special. Belinda can't help but fall for Austin, she just hopes he like who she is and not want to change her.
This a sweet but steamy fast paced read. Austin and Belinda were childhood friends. They see each other after many years when Belinda moves back to town for her new job. They enjoy the same things and have a great connection and the chemistry between then is electric. A great addition to this New Years Eve Series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book. This is a nice, quick, short book.

Belinda hands her the voucher and she tells Belinda they will be able to find something. She leaves and comes back with three gowns, and Belinda tries them on. The first two she doesn’t feel comfortable in she tells the sales attendant she needs to look fabulous it’s what her date wants. The third dress is perfect a little long but they can hem it. Belinda gets dolled up in her bedroom her grandmother helped her with her hair and false lashes. The evening is delightful, Austin tells her she looks beautiful. They eat, dance and drink champagne. She asks him if the dress is alright and he tells her it’s fabulous. She talks to Austin’s sister and suggest more pocket in women’s clothes. They both go around and have nice conversations with everyone. Belinda excuses herself to use the restroom she’s gone a while, when he heads to look for her. She doesn’t look happy and he asks if she’s okay, she nods. Belinda runs into Austin’s ex while in the restroom she tells her that he’s reduced to dating her and she broke up with him. She asks Belinda where she got the dress from the goodwill or did her granny make it out of old curtains. She tells Belinda Austin is cheap, he has tons of money but he won’t spend it on her. He pick the woman who will sleep with him for free. She goes back to the table and pretends everything is alright even though she’s numb and can’t wait to go home. She wants to get out of the disastrous dress. Austin wins the string of pearls and put them on her. They countdown to midnight begins and he tells her he wants to spend his life with her. At midnight he drops to one knee and asks her to marry him and she doesn’t answer, her eyes fill with tears, and she tells him no. She runs away and he is left kneeling on the floor. She goes to the parking lot and sobs, kicking off her shoes so she can run, but he catches her. He asks her if his ex said something to her, if she’s not ready to take their relationship to the next level he’ll wait. He tells her he loves her, she’s the one he wants to spend his life with. She asks him if he’s serious and he tells her yes. She asks him if he want to marry her and he tells her he does. He tells her he wants to start this new year with her and every year of his life. She tells him it’s a deal and they kiss, their last first kiss as an engaged couple. Four years later, they are looking for a new place to live, Austin has Belinda meet him at a townhouse the agent is showing them. She likes it but tells him it’s a little smaller than she wanted. He tells her that’s what they agree on two bedrooms. She tells him they should start looking for something bigger now. Austin thanks the realtor for showing them the property this afternoon, but they wants something bigger. She tells him three bedroom minimum, as the realtor leaves. Austin asks Belinda what’s going on, she tells him she’s pregnant. He asks her if she’s sure, she is so he kisses her. He is so happy, he can’t believe it he takes her to his car and they head home. They get to the apartment and make love for the last first time, but not for the last time.

She may be coming home for a new job....but she finds her Last First Kiss and more
The Last First Kiss by Carly Keene is part of the multi-author Midnight Kisses series. This story is about Belinda Carter and Austin Reese. Belinda has just moved back to her hometown to take the job of Assistant HR Director at Hopedale Hospital. She arrives at her grandparents house, who raised her after her father died and her mother could not cope, where she will be staying until she finds a place of her own. Austin is in his early thirties and became COO of On the Mark Sports six months ago. The company is owned and run by his family and he has worked hard to get the position. The problem is that he has not found the woman who really wants to be with him, and not him for his money and what he can buy them. When Austin sees Belinda arrive home, as he is visiting his parents who live next door, he is struck by just how much she has grown up and how much he is drawn to her. When he goes over to help with Belinda's bags and boxes he knows he wants to take her to the New Years Eve Charity Ball that he has to attend, and where he wants to avoid his ex and all the other woman who try and get his attention. Belinda accepts Austin's invitation but she may have gotten more than she anticipated at the same time.
I enjoyed this sweet, fun, steamy, smexy and entertaining story. The story-line is nicely paced and the characters are all likeable, except Austin's ex of course. There is a bit of drama, lots of romance, family, friends and as always smexy good times. This is a wonderful addition to this series and a book I would definitely RECOMMEND!
Austin is tired of being seen just for his job and money. he broke it off with his last girlfriend eight months ago when all she seemed to be focused on is how much he was not spending. After another corporate holiday party, he head to his parents house, his mom is going to make waffles and bacon in the morning. He is eating breakfast when he looks out the window and sees her, Belinda Carter, he has not seen her in years. She just moved to town for a job.
Belinda has gotten her dream job, when the boy next door ask her to NYE charity ball. The more time she spends with him over the week, she wants this to last forever, but is just for the holiday?

This book is a part of the Midnight Kisses series and focuses on Austin and Belinda. Austin is tired of dealing with fake people who only seem interested in him based on what kind of life he could provide for them. He wants a low key life with a wife and family to love. He doesn't think he'll ever get it until he sees the next door neighbors granddaughter, who he had grown up with, and is immediately captivated by her. He asks her to be his date to a new years eve gala and the more time they spend together, the more he falls in love with her. They hit a small bump in the road but it is resolved really quickly and we get a great HEA. This was a great addition to the series.

This is such a good story. Belinda and Austin grew up playing together. As he grew older he became more involved with the family business. Belinda went off to college and then took a job in the city. She moved back home for a HR position at the local hospital. Austin has been lonely, wanting love and family but his girlfriend just wanted his money and other men. Then he sees Belinda moving in with her grandparents. They start dating and she's everything he hoped for and more. Of course, true love does not run smoothly. Read what happens. I enjoyed this book a lot and hope you will too. Written by Cindy :)
I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable although their communication skills were a little bit lacking. Camilla was lame and petty. I'm glad that Austin didn't end up with her. Belinda and Austin were so cute. I loved that they had known each other as kids. Even though they didn't grow up together, they had good memories of spending time together. The dates they went on were things that they both liked to do so they both had a good time. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Belinda and Austin together. These two are really sweet together. These two have really good chemistry and connection. What was supposed to just be a small favor, turned out to change both Austin and Belinda's life forever. There is a little bit of drama but nothing that Austin can't fix. I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Carly as a wonderful author.

I really liked seeing the connection and chemistry between Austin and Belinda grow, they suited each other so much and together they made a lovely couple. Austin is looking for his plus one. He has a specific type of plus one in mind. Belinda used to visit her grandparents next door to Austin when they were kids. They knew each other back then. Belinda is back in town and staying with her grandparents but when Austin shows up to help carry her suit cases in will she end up being a joke ? Austin is cfo of his father's company and tired of the money hungry woman and has a gold digger ex girlfriend who is mean but will she ruin things for him and Belinda?.

This book was a cute New Year's short book, I enjoyed it.... They instantly had feeling for each other right when they saw each other but took their time to get to know each other..... Belinda and Austin knew eachnother as kids but she moved away, when she came back living next door to his grandmother, he ask her to be his date to a party event, they then got to know each other as a dull this time, realizing there is chemistry between them....
An amazing page-turner in the Midnight Kisses series! It is emotionally deep, engaging, relatable, steamy, and well written. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is undeniable and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Childhood friends reconnect during the holiday season. Loved the characters and the ease of camaraderie with the simple transition into something deeper. A tiny bit of drama, but overall a good romance with light hearted fun and genuine friendship. Enjoyed the ending as this couple is the real deal not putting on false fronts.

Belinda comes home to stay with her grandparents while she starts a new job. She reconnects with her childhood friend who is now a rich businessman. Never believing she is good enough for him things do heat up but she is always waiting for the other shoe to drop. It’s a good story with a HEA.

It was an enjoyable if quick read. I liked the characters, but halfway through I noticed that the author seemed to overuse the word "nice". At the gala they had a nice chat with with someone, then another nice chat with someone, then another nice chat. I the end I was just a little distracted looking for the next use of the word nice. Overall it was a nice story though!
