Axe is more than the president Green Bastards Orc MC, he is the last Horde King.
When a rival Orc MC joins forces with two-faced human lawmen, Axe must eliminate every threat to his territory, no matter the personal cost.
Then a chance encounter with a human woman brings out primal instincts impossible to ignore.
Her humanity makes her fragile, her past tells another story.
Dinah is a dead woman walking. Surviving in the human world means altering her appearance as effortlessly as a shifter changes forms.
To hide the ugly truth about her family, she travels deep into Green Bastards' territory to infiltrate the notoriously violent Orc MC and uncover the secrets of its bloody past.
But after an explosive confrontation with Axe, she is forced to face all her darkest desires and fears.
The drums of war will sound, and blood will flow.
Property of the Green Bastards is an orc motorcycle club romance where the monsters claim the women who belong to them.
This book deals with darker themes (including depictions of violence and sexual situations) that some readers might find disturbing. Please read at your own discretion. For mature audiences only.
Flora Quincy is British-American author currently living in Glasgow with her Scottish Terrier, collection of stationery, and a daily pot of coffee. She fell in love with books at a young age. Reading romance, fantasy, and science fiction to escape into worlds far more exciting than real life.
With an overactive imagination, she had dozens of stories begun and discarded, before she decided to take writing seriously. Now those characters and worlds are finding their way to the page.
When she isn't reading or writing, she has a *healthy* relationship with the characters in her head. So far she hasn't been alarmed too many people while conversing with imaginary men and women as she takes the dog for a walk.
Other necessary facts: Natural ginger, who recently discovers she likes having pink hair. Food lover who hates olives and will always eat ice cream when it is well below freezing. And is a proud addict to writing lists... soooo many lists.
This book just kept going, piling on world building like a teetering tower of nonsense. The author keeps telling us a bunch of disjointed facts about the world, stitches them together in a way that is supposed to be revelatory but isn't because none of it is clear, the implications are never revealed, and the consequences are impossible to parse.
At one point the heroine shouts "do you even understand what you've done" at a minor side character. And I have no idea what he's done, why is she mad? Why are we supposed to be emotionally devastated by the actions of someone she has known for 3 weeks, and has barely appeared in the book? I honestly couldn't tell you if what he's done is actually bad or not.
This book feels like the 10th book of a series which established the rules of the world in the first book, and has been layering complicated political drama in each subsequent installment.
What I'm saying is, it doesn't make any sense. Like, the author overexplains things that are perfectly clear - repeating in dialogue things that were just depicted in the action - but doesn't explain why these things happen, why they are important, or why they are shocking.
Aside from that the main relationship is vaguely emotionally abusive, and I personally get hives when "daddy" is used in any type of sexual encounter.
Also, and this is maybe petty, but why does the necromancer/goddess have the name of a male deity? If you're gonna take the name of an existing deity anyway, why not make it freya and not frey?!
Property of the Green Bastards is the spicy orc motorcycle club romance we needed.
Dinah is hiding a secret she’s desperate to keep but the only thing she wants more is a ride with Axe and I’m not talking about on his bike.
Axe is the club prez and he’s all muscles, dominance and a total asshole from the start. He can’t decide what he wants more, Dinah gone or in his bed. She makes him have ✨ feeling✨ and he’s not happy about it. Axe takes what he wants and she loves him for it. They had fun banter, she’s a brat and he loves to punish her for it. Lots of Dom/Sub vibes with primal play. This book definitely has the “asshole to everyone but her” trope.
A nice balance of spicy and plot. It has unique world building with a mix of old orc traditions and new technology.
Orcs definitely have fun in the bedroom (or caves in this case) the men have ribbed…and the ladies have 2 cl*ts. Which, I wish humans had a real life just to give men a greater chance at finding at least one.
If you like sex chases, secret identities, fated mates and action this book is for you.
My favorite quotes
“Just stay a virgin. Most men don’t know what to do with one cl*t. You might end up in jail for manslaughter because they’d die from the confusion of two.”
“When you said you were going to ride my face, I thought you meant you were going to ride, not hover. Good girls don’t hover, pah’pah. Be a good girl for me and smother me”
If you are a fan of orcs and some *sublime* dirty talk, then come on down and check out this book. Quincy's foray into the orc genre is unique with the quality spice you may have come to expect from her if you've read any of her previous novels.
The FMC Dinah has escaped to The Badlands in an effort to destroy remnants about her identity that could be her doom only to run into the local MC leader and King of the Orcs Axe whose animosity (and out of nowhere secret attraction to her) set the scene for an epic story filled with plenty of tension-filled steam and spicy goodness. Get ready for Breeding Kink City and Possessive Town which are just *chef's kiss*.
Definite recommend if you haven't gotten into orcs yet or are looking for something new.
The author used multiple awesome kinks to create extremely sexy and interesting treat! I had a hard time putting the book down. The main male was huge and hunky a winning combo. The main female was curvy, attractive, innocent, and gutsy-A+++. The way the heroine liked to agitate the hero just for her amusement was greatly entertaining. Also, the storyline was very well developed. I eagerly await the next book in this series.
Originally this was looking to be a 3-4 star book and as I started caring about the characters less and the story have more issues it started to drop, so I'm not gonna force myself to finish.
What I liked: - FMC isn't fully human and isn't afraid of the big bad orc wanting to rut her. - The primal play/chase scenes. - Having 2 clits sounds neat (this is probably me grasping for things to like)
My basic non spoilery issues: - The world building was ridiculously confusing and got worse so as the book went on - The major plot conflicts outside of the relationship felt episodic and disconnected - The author often had the characters use the old orc language without translation.
I wasn't originally going to rate this book but after typing up below it gets 1⭐️.
****Spoilers****** * * * * So, the misogyny is pretty much to be expected with a motorcycle club romance, so I'm gonna overlook those issues.
But the fact that we had 3 admittedly adolescent/teenage characters who were traitors, so they got beaten and killed my the MMC or club members ON PAGE, and we were supposed to be rooting for them? GTFO. The last of these 3 traitors was a teenage girl who was born to serial strangler and raised in an underground prison, and she was shot in the head by a cop after getting pushed off a cliff. JFC 🤦♀️
And the thing is, the major conflict of this book is that the "traitors" are trying to protest that the descendants of this massacred club, that blasphemed against the Orc beliefs 3 generations ago, be allowed to come back and not be killed on sight. Did I mention that the FMC (heartsong/soulmate of the current Horde King MMC) is a decent of that line??
Like the more I type the more pissed off I get.
There are major issues with this book that I cannot adequately articulate, but I hope that the above made sense to what my problems are.

If you had told me I would need an Orc Motorcycle Club smut fantasy in my life I would have laughed...and yet here we are! I absolutely adored this! Some spoilers discussing tropes involved.
So first, the smut! It was incredible. I was quite turned on by all of the things in here except for one thing. There is pregnancy in this book that happened about 3/4 of the way through. Didn't care for that because that particular trope is not my thing. But if you like it, definitely check this out because it was handled very well. Other kinks/tropes listed below. The sex and passion was intoxicating and Axe is so dreamy!
Secondly, I was very impressed with the world building, lore, and language created in this book! It felt very immersive and thorough. I think as the series continues and things are fleshed out even more, it will be an interesting and complex world. Wasn't expecting it from this type of book honestly but I loved it!
Great overall, 4 out of 5 simply because of the pregnancy trope.
Contains: primal, breeding, humiliation, rough play, pregnancy (not at the end of the book), blood, pain, spanking, public sex, and daddy kink.
Oh wow, this book gave me all the good feelings! The angst was intense, the sex was so steamy that I had to take breaks to cool off, and the romance was slow building. Definitely insta lust, which eventually turned to softer emotions...much later. It made you wait for it. But I loved once the big grump who thought himself heartless realized he had after all...and it beat for her. *swoon*
**I received a free copy from the author and this is my honest review.**
Big thanks to Flora Quincy for the ARC of this book. This review is being given honestly and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Overall 3.5 ⭐️ rounded up to 4 out of enjoyment
I think this was a really fun start to the Badlands Orc MC series and did a pretty good job of introducing all the main characters as well as the world history.
Dinah is an Orc hiding as a human when she moves to the Badlands, an area run by Orc MCs, in order to destroy all evidence that indicates she is the descendant of Orc traitors who are forbidden to exist (meaning she’d have to be killed). Axe is the Green Bastard MC prez, and the unofficial, official Horde King of the Orcs. When the two first meet, there is an instant attraction on both sides but due to Axe believing he is Heartless (without a soulmate) they begin a FB relationship. When the truth of who Dinah is comes to light a whole slew of action ensues because someone is trying to use her to start a war.
Overall I liked this book and the romance but felt like some things were resolved a bit too quickly, and almost felt unnecessary by the end of the book. I liked the initial angst between Dinah and Axe and their ensuing relationship and how Axe was down for her the whole time (not just into her but ready to be with her no matter what).
This is my second Flora Quincy novel and similar to that one, I feel like this has the markings of a new author BUT once again, I love what Quincy has set up and the potential for the rest of the series. This was a good book and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I definitely have to recommend picking up her Historical Omegaverse series because the first one pulls you right in and is a sweet Omegaverse world compared to others.

As someone who does not read a lot of motorcycle club (MC) books but does read a ton of monster romance I enjoyed this book. I will definitely be continuing the series as the books are released.
There is a lot of backstory & setup as expected in the first novel of a new series. Fortunately this blended in at a great pace with the relationship development of our two main characters.
Axe was everything I expected as a MC president & Orc. Lots of growly goodness but also is a total simp for his girl. Dinah is beautifully stubborn. Sparks fly pretty quickly between the two of them and their bedroom play is HOT & the book is jam packed full of steamy action.
This book is definitely a fast burn romance and I would give it 4/5 on the spicy scale.
***I would STRONGLY recommend reading through the glossary before diving into the book. There is a lot of cultural references and orc language used in the novel that can get very confusing without referencing the glossary first ***
If you are looking to move from contemporary or a hard fantasy genres this is a great in-between novel to try. I think it mixes the two genres wonderfully.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Quincy has delivered a story I never knew I always wanted! Property of the Green Bastards is everything that you hope it will be. Quincy’s attention to detail and her nuanced world-build is Tolkien-esk, with a lot less waffling and more hot orcs. She has created an orc culture that is rich in heritage and traditions, with every action by her characters motivated by these traditions. As a FMC, Dinah is both cunning and capable while remaining entirely relatable. Axe is everything you want in an orc and the leader of an MC gang, and the relationship between the two is explosive. Quincy also neatly sidesteps the clichéd ‘great misunderstanding’ which could so easily have taken over the plot, by having her characters do something novel: communicate! This book is quite a divergence from Quincy’s regency omegaverse books, but it’s a road I will happily travel on with her. The book sets up other couples in the universe, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book. An absolute five star read and definitely worth picking up if you are a fan of either Sons of Anarchy or Orcs in general
Dinah has been keeping a secret. She is not all human and she is a descendant of an Orc horde that was destroyed and thought to be all killed off. She must journey to the Badlands in hopes of erasing her family tree. She will put her talent to use and work for an Orc Antiques dealer to try to remove the secret hidden in the map. First day there she meets Axe the Green Bastards MC Prez and they don’t have a good start. He’s rude and trying to get her out of his town as fast as she can go. She’s determined to stay. Axe and Dinah are each other’s heartsongs but fight it because they both have other duties to get done. You will enjoy their banter and chemistry in this. The world building in Property of the Green Bastards is outstanding! The characters all seem well thought out. I enjoyed all the Orc information and the maps at the beginning. Has some extra details thrown in there that I have not read about before and kind of surprised me lol Overall a great start to the Green Bastards MC series.
This was my first Flora Quincy book and I really enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of Orc romance stories and this one did not disappoint. I really like the take on this story. I like how the FMC is not human, that is always the case with monster romances. I also like how monsters are known in this world. I absolutely loved all the spices and if you enjoy some kinks this book has it for you. I enjoyed the length of this story and am super excited that there will be more in this world. I enjoyed this fantasy world. Only downside I had was I would have liked the Orc language to have been translated in text. From outside factors you got an idea of what might have been said but I still would have liked to have known in that moment. If you love monsters, spice, and orcs (along with all the good orc stuff) then this is the book for you.

I didn't know that I was looking for spicy orc MC content but Flora Quincy knew better. Dinah and Axe have great chemistry and I was rooting for them from their first meeting. Quincy does a really good job of establishing the friction between Dinah and Axe without ever pushing into territory where I worried he was going to do something to make him unlikable.
This definitely feels like a fantasy world with MC elements, so if the MC aspect is holding you back at all I encourage you to dive in anyway. It's a really detailed fantasy world that just happens to centre hot bikers. I do recommend liberal use of the glossary however.
It can be really easy for a conversation about consent or establishing kink boundaries to bring a spicy scene to a halt but that's never a problem here. Quincy establishes enthusiastic consent without interrupting the tension of a scene. Plus there's somnophilia and breeding kink, what more could you ask for?
There were sometimes I just wanted a translation because lines were in orcish but only sometimes translated. But the plot was pretty good. Being a orc-ling. I made that up!!! Hiding in plain sight and riding orc cock...
Prophecy, betrayal, honor codes add an MC on it and 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Dinahs secret destroys lives... it's festering and deadly. Axe is determined to lead his club and people the right way. When these two collide the heartless king finds he's not so heartless.
Now the smut
4% in- "I lean in until I catch her scent. I hate it. Not that she stinks, but she doesn't smell right and the only way to fix it would be to cover her in my cum"
4% in "monsters don't bring good girls flowers they bring good girls to their knees and"
I absolutely loved reading this book. This book was absolutely the spiciest book i have read this year. I wanted to be in Dinah shoes. I want a big primal orc biker with an attitude. Dinah is only in town to remove any part of her orc heritage that she has to keep a secret or she will be killed. Axe is a badass biker orc who is hoard king. These two dont even start off liking each other even though they are super attracted to one another. I loved how their relationship grew even though it was love/hate relationship. Absolutely loved this book so much. I hope there is going to be a series because book was hard to put down.
Shut your mouth and take my money! I came to Amazon immediately following a tiktok recommendation from author Lillian lark. Do not pay attention to the 18 other TBR in my kindle. This book combines not only my obsession with MCs chrome riding badasses with hearts only for club and their ladies BUT ORCS! Magic, society standings, secret lineages, betrayal, food, art and OMG the SEX! 🔥 it even smashes my primal and daddy kink buttons. I can not wait to read the next in this series, and serious immediately followed author. ❤️
Flora you really outdid yourself. Honestly, when I first saw this book I thought it would be a silly little thing, but wow, was I mistaken. Flora brought her own twist on some classic orc lore and it was an adventure I was happy to join her on.
This book has a lot of my favorite tropes and boy was I not ready for how HOT it is.
Ms. Quincy is quickly moving up on my "favorite authors" list. 2022 is the year of the orc, and if you aren't already on this train then you better hop on before you miss out.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Really enjoyed the story, personally I didn’t find it too long, it had plenty of meat to the story line and I enjoyed the honesty and ‘no anguishing’ between the lead characters. Adore orcs and the world building in this book was done well. Enjoyed the Dom kink etc. Hope book 2 will be available soon? And I hope Flora Quincy creates many many more Badlands books. If I ever meet you when I move up north I’ll buy you a big pot of coffee 😉
To other authors….you need to write more Orc stuff, like now!! 😁
I had the absolute pleasure of reading this book in advance for Flora and WOW I was blown away! As soon as she said “motorcycle club” and “Orc” I was sold, and you should be too. Dinah is the FMC and she is sweet as she is spicy. She harbors a secret that she’s determined to keep, but at what cost? Axe is the horde king…begrudgingly. He has a fierce pride for his family and lands. He’ll do anything to protect them, including running the delicious new human that he can’t stop thinking about out of town. Highly highly recommend!!
What do you get when you cross a motorcycle club with magic and monsters? You get the Green Bastards MC. The Green Bastards rule the Badlands with arrogance, strength and a zero-f's given attitude. Aggressive, dominant, yet completely enamoured by their Heartsong, these Orcs are not to be messed with. Proceed only if you have plenty of water on hand, both to put out the fires in the sheets, as well as rehydrating.
Ok I love some ORC romance and this was phenomenal. I enjoyed the banter between the two mains. I really loved seeing the growth of their relationship and how this wasn't love at first sight. We get all the rough and gritty developments that take place to show how their feeling grow. Beautifully done. This isn't your easy going super cute romance. This is dark and dirty and oh so spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶🥵🥵🥵🥵
Wow! I love a good orc romance and this one certainly lived up to expectations! Flora Quincy does such a good job of developing her characters and really making you care about them and good lord the sex scenes are mind blowingly good. Axe and Dinah have such good chemistry from the very beginning and I cannot wait for more books in this series!
This book was wild. The breeding. The smut. I loved it. The story was also great! Dinah is part orc but hiding it and goes to the badlands to keep some secret parts of her familial history secret and she runs right into Axe the leader of the Green Bastards MC. I loved the mix of contemporary and tradition. They ride motorcycles but still have rituals! Really cool book and it was HOT.
DNF @9% p43/391 Chapter 2 (Axe) I’m just not in the mood for this right now. I’m not feeling the writing style so far and I can’t be bothered right now to stick it out and see if it gets better. I might come back to it later depending on what I see from TikTok and other reviewers and how my mood is. 🤷🏻♀️We’ll see.
This book is absolutely GOLD! If you love orc books with spice then add in MC, This is the book for you! I could not put this book down and was absolutely here for all the angst and fire between the MC’s. The spice was amazing and the plot was exquisite! Highly recommend!
